You know what pisses me off... I found an old copy of Halloween Havoc 1990 in my basement and threw it in.
To my dismay some of the matches were cut out of it. Apparently they made 2 different versions of the PPV's for VHS back then. If you had a copy of the event then the full PPV was shown.
If you had one with TURNER HOME Entertainment you we're pretty much screwed and some of the events matches were scrapped entirely from the tape.
CHEAP.
Who on the board has some of these events that are watered down?

No Way Out where Eddie won the belt from Brock Lesnar has the awesome Cruiserweight match taken out of the VHS yet still advertised on the back. A few other WWE Tapes had this as well.

I bought a Wrestle War 92 VHS and I was disappointed that the Super Invader vs Todd Champion match was not included on there

All of NWA/WCW PPV tapes from Turner Home Entertainment up until around '93 ran about two hours. I'm guessing because they were too cheap for tapes that ran in EP. It's really hit or miss, though. Superbrawl II is a phenomenal tape because pointless matches were left off of it.
Wrestlemania XX on VHS was severely edited as well. There were no interviews, both tag matches were cut out, and one match ended then the next began.

I'm aware that The Mountie vs. KoKo B Ware was removed from the Coliseum Video release of the 1991 Royal Rumble. Lisewise with Haku vs. Harly Race from the 1989 Royal Rumble. Tons of stuff was removed from the home video versions back in the day. I'm glad I tracked down the live airings of the '87/'89'90/'91 Survivor Series and WrestleMania IV from a torrent source.

Yeah, Race and Haku bugged me when I was a kid.
I remember after Survivor Series 97, WWE released some VHS with Bret still advertised on the back, but the matches taken out of the event.

Seem to remember Val Venis vs Bradshaw being advertised on the back of the Rebellion 2000 VHS case, that match never happened. Bugs me so much

Superbrawl II is a phenomenal tape because pointless matches were left off of it. This they only release the cut down versions so either you watched it and taped it live to have the full 3 hour show or you only got the 2 hour edited one if you waited for the vhs to come out luckily i have those all on tape from live ppv feeds which is nice since a lot of those matches are never seen and they usually have some decent/entertaining matches cut.

I remember buying the Turner Home Entertainment version of Bash At The Beach 1996. My friend and i were watching the tape when he said "There are a few matches they are not showing you on this vhs". He went home and got his video and we watched it. I am lucky enough now to have found a few wcw vhs that has the entire ppv on it.
