Yes, annoyingly, Goldusts promo work in the mid nighties is 'hard'... to 'come' by... but heres a seemingly rare promo. Enjoy this blast from the past from...
*ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssshhhh*
... Goldust
So to make this relevant, you opinion of Goldust in this video, Goldust back then, Goldust now and do you think a gimmick like Goldust's could work in modern era wrestling?

Goldust should have been world champion. I completely agree with this... Goldust was absolutely incredible back during these days... The IC title wasn't enough for this guy...

see..............Orlando Jordan. For someone that doesn't have the charisma to pull such a character of have as well as Rhodes? If Goldust was younger I think WWE would still be trying to make him relevent now, well maybe not now but just before PG, but sadly he is too old now and WWE has no intentions of pushing him but he is still an amazing talent with a character that could easily be relevent today. Like Hassan is plays on people's fears and ignorance which is always going to be around.

Goldust was World Championship material until WWE ruined him in 2003 til now. I wish he could have gotten the strap, he DID deserve it.

Dustin "goldust" runnels is the man, and always will be. He's as good now as he ever way. Sucks he is going to waste on superstars and sometimes not even that

I remember after his first promo my friend & I were talking about how creepy it was. Then out of the blue he says " I think it was Dustin Rhodes! " As soon as he said it I realized he was right. What a change in personality. I was a huge Dustin fan so it took me awhile to adjust to Goldust.
But from that video... that Pedigree was awesome!

I wish he would could have had been more successful with the natural dustin rhodes, i loved his stuff in the early 90's in wcw, wish he could have had more of a run with it, the cowboy wrestling boots, and everything, liked it alot

Goldust was a gimmick that should've failed, but Dustin made it great. Man, did he get heat with it at houseshows in the beginning.

I thought Dustin did an awesome job with the gimmick. WWE really put a lot of weight behind him in the first couple years of the gimmick, but sadly it seemed they lost interested in him afterward. Goldust IMO was a world title contender in 1996 and needed to have feuded with HBK sometime in 1996. Instead, Goldust got caught in mid-card matches with the likes of Marc Mero, Mankind, and others.
I ALWAYS wanted to see a real hard feud between The Undertaker & Goldust back then. I still think they could pull off a decent one presently, but back then I think it would've been classic stuff.
