I guess I'll put this here since HBK is retired and it involves some history. We know that Taker (along with most others) didn't particularly care for Shawn during his first run with the company until his first retirement (See his OTR interview).
Besides the handshake and tip of the hat, has Taker said anything since Shawn's return about him/their relationship? The two were the longest tenured wrestlers for a long while...just wondering if they ever really mended fences or not. It's interesting to speculate considering Taker spent most of his time on Smackdown and away from Shawn save their two Mania matches.
Thanks!

I'm sure they reconciled their differences considered they agreed to face each other in two of the biggest matches in 'Mania history.

part of HBKs recovery process was to mend fences with everyone he had backstabbed or had wronged/had heat with.
so yeah he and UT made up,its well known Mark Callaway had zero time for HBK before his retirement.although its interesting to note that during this strained relationship he and HBK had 2 great matches at Bad Blood 97 and RR 98.

Maybe Taker believes in the old saying; "If you don't have something nice to say about someone, don't say anything at all".

Is it true that 'Taker vowed to punch HBK's face in if he didn't drop the belt to Austin?

Is it true that 'Taker vowed to punch HBK's face in if he didn't drop the belt to Austin? several wrestlers have confirmed in shoots that this is true.HBK was unstable at that time and told several people he might"go into business for himself"so UT had a word with him. Im a HBK fan and I totally believe it,most Rabid HBK fans however will deny this strongly......

Taker talked about it on the OTR interview from 02, stating that there was some worry Shawn wouldn't do the right thing that night and if he didn't, Taker, as the "policeman" of the lockerroom would have to take care of it as he saw fit. I've yet to find any evidence that Taker at any point ever threatened Shawn. Personally, regardless of what Shawn may have said, I really doubt he'd ever do it - he knew his back was shot and he couldn't hold the belt anymore. No way was he going to come out on top that night, especially knowing how hot Austin was at the time.
