Yes they did. Bret refused to sign them. How could he refuse to sign people that already have contracts? If they already had contracts there would be no reason to want to get signed kayfabe wise. They were demanding contracts. None of them kayfabe wise have contracts. Exactly why they were demanding contracts, because they didn't have them. What's so hard to understand? |

It's an angle. Yes they REALLY have contracts, but angle-wise, they do not. I know that. What I was saying. Everyone was saying the Danielson release was a work. Even though it said he was released on WWE.com They were saying, there was no reason for them to believe kayfabe wise he didn't have a contract. Since according to them kayfabe wise all the NXT guys had contracts and were just competeing to be the "break out" star. IDK how to explain what I'm trying to explain. It's in my head, but I can't really get into words. |

My guess on the whole NXT angle is that this 'firing' is just a way to hold off on the whole thing and bide their time until they can sign Bryan back. Just a guess.
