Undoubtedly, the darkest day for pro wrestling. 11 years ago today.

I didn't watch wrestling until 2000, but watching footage from RAW is Owen/Owen's funeral/JR's announcement etc. is the saddest wrestling related footage I've ever seen.
Even moreso than the Eddie Guerrero Tribute Show, which is weird because I was actually a fan then.
Nontheless, R.I.P. Owen. An amazing wrestler and a truly amazing person.

RIP Owen Hart, King of Harts.
I was at school, in Year 11, and openly cried in front of my friends when I heard...they knew I liked Owen a great deal, even more than Bret, it was so very sad to hear.

I missed the pay-per-view as I had school the next day but remember on the news hearing that he passed away. It was werid to see a UK news station report on a wrestling company. I'm glad my dad recorded the Raw following the event on video afterwards as I still have it today. I need to watch it again as it was probably one of the most emotional epiosde of Raw I've seen.

Very sad. I didn't really watch much then either but it is still very sad to rewatch the footage of JR saying what happened.

I remember watching this live and being totally unsure about the situation. I was rather young and was an Owen Hart fan. It took weeks for me to actually believe he passed away.

How ironic is it that 11-12 years after the very last Over the Edge ppv, we get Over the Limit???

RIP Owen. That day, that ppv,the next day/night,my freinds and familys reactions etc,are all etched in my mind like it happened yesterday. I remember seeing a BCA Blue Blazer figure earlier that day at WalMart and thinking: "wow....its a blue blazer. I'll get that tomorrow...". Not surprisingly the figure was gone later that same night, and I got a little chill when I went into my figure room and saw my series 2 Owen looking back at me on my figure shelf. The Raw the next day was so different and overcast. Very sad. Older folks have the JFK assassination ,but I will always remember where I was when Owen Hart died in a WWE ring.

This was just after I started watching wrestling, and I didn't really feel the emotion because I had no idea who he was, but I had a few weeks watching him as the Blue Blazer and as I've got older, I've watched his older stuff and I see what I have missed. He was a great athlete, a good entertainer, good all around.
Res in peace, Owen Hart.

Unfortunately, I was at this show live. Sitting way to close. It is still hard to think about. I remember almost throwing up I was so upset. I still can't even remember anything else that happened that night at the PPV. I do remember talking to Howard Finkel after the show, he was the one that broke the sad news that Owen had indeed passed away. The live crowd wasn't ever told, yet we could only assume. I wouldn't have been upset had they canceled the rest of the show. I think that would have been the right move.

I remember watching the PPV with my dad and we both were so confused. He went online and just read to me what happened and then we heard JR tell us he had died. It was sad.

WWE were so wrong on so many levels with this. I mean was the device safe? They should have at least stopped the PPV. The worst part is 11 years on last Sunday they decide to have the "Over the Limit" PPV with Edge on the poster=Over the Edge? and as someone said in the pro wrestling forum 4 wrestlers were injured sunday night, strange
