Well the obvious thing was HHH/ Chyna used to be an item & they split up.
Then HHH got with Steph, but never heard there was any rumours of cheating or anyone's behalf.

the most frequent rumor here is that HHH was with Steph whilst dating Chyna.
then HHH dumped Chyna and HHH/Steph became common knowledge backstage around September 00.
Chyna(and others)say that Chyna had life made difficult for her when Steph became head of creative.
thats the rmors I have heard.IMO Steph is a loathsome individual but I dunno if any of this is exactly true.

I believe... Triple H was dating Chyna, when he was put with Stephanie for storyline purposes. After a few months of acting like he was with Steph, feeling started. Him and Chyna broke up and he started dating Stephanie for real.
