Yeah, an enjoyable fight... some good, cagey stand-up, some ground-work... you just kept landing that head-kick all fight, which is eventually what did me in, and of course Rampage doesn't have a head-kick to counter with... and what's more, Rampage just seems so slow in this game. So did all the fights on the card get done?

I apologize for not updating this sooner, things have been hectic as always. I hate to come across as having lost faith in MFWF, nothing could be further from the truth. I still think this is a lot of fun, my recent fight with Jungle Snake (and series of fights, inf act) proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt. I would also like to apologize for not having more prizes to be won for these events, my schedule and Jon Hal's schedule just don't seem to be meshing at all nowadays. I will definitely start e-mailing him in order to make sure that we get the prize train rolling again.
But changes do need to happen.
So the results of "A Champion is Crowned" is posted and the records have been updated. As of right now the roster "roll call" is in effect. I'm giving people until July 20 (one week from today) to answer the call inside this topic or the one posted on MF.
The way it breaks down is like this: if you can compete on EVERY OTHER CARD at the bare minimum, reply to this topic to secure your place in MFWF. If you can compete on EVERY card, that's great, and I sincerely appreciate the effort. But EVERY OTHER CARD is what it takes to be considered an active member of MFWF.
IF YOU CANNOT MEET THAT OBLIGATION, please respond to this post saying so. I have no choice but to remove you from the league in order to ensure that fights are being made and people are actively competing.
If you DON'T reply to this post, you will also be removed from the league. All fighters removed from the league will go back on the Free Agents list, and all users removed from the league will have to start with 0-0-0 records if they ever decide to get back into the league.
As harsh as it sounds, I sincerely believe that this is the best course of action. I'll keep a running tally of all that have answered the roll call.
So far, both TheResident and The Champ is Here have notified me via PM that they're going to be actively competing in the league.
As always, any feedback is appreciated.

I'm still deciding whether or not to carry on with this - it seems many people have lost interest. So far, I've counted 8 people (9 if I decide to continue) who have answered the roll-call, both on here and MF. That's not enough people for a league, surely?

Well, it's unfortunate that it's come to this, but we've only had nine people officially let me know that they can still actively participate in the league. That's just not enough people to support this kind of thing.
It sucks to say this, but I guess this means that MFWF is closed. I'd like to thank everybody who supported us, and especially those who I fought online, since I easily had the most fun in UFC 2010 playing you guys.
I don't know if it was just a lack of interest or the really negative feedback all the new gameplay changes got once people finally got their hands on the game, but I really wanted this league to work and it sucks that it didn't. I'm honestly thinking of trading in UFC 2010 along with some other games that I don't play anymore because, now that I've finished career and some of the other modes, I have virtually no reason to keep playing it, especially with the dreaded online.
I'd like to once again thank everyone for their support and for making MFWF MMA a success in the brief time that it ran. I can't say if I'll ever try and do something like this for another MMA video game, but never say never.

I think if you started a league with EA MMA, it will be a far better success. It wasn't on your behalf that this fell through, the league itself was very organized and well done. Unfortunately, we were just plagued with shitty gameplay. IMO the game was better before the patch. I was actually pretty good before the patch, and then all of a sudden i would win like 2 out of every 5.
Seriously though, please start an EA MMA league.

I'm in on an EA game. I think the thing is. When a game first comes out everyone is excited, then people start to get really really good at the game. Which makes a huge difference between Great and good players. So people loose interest.
