hey guys
was just wondering about the match between power and glory and the rockers at summerslam 90.
at the very start of the match shawn michaels was attacked and "injured" py hercules and roma.
was there any reason for this? i'm thinking that maybe michaels was genuinely injured and the wwf wanted to cover up why he couldn't take part in the match.
or another theory of mine was that the wwf wanted to give P&G the win without harming the rockers credibility?
any ideas?

In his book, Shawn mentions he was already injured, and Animal from LOD helped him strap his knee so he could make it to the ring

I thought this was the time where Shawn had gotten drunk the day before and screwed his knee up.

I believe he needed knee surgery and this was the angle to explain his absence. That's how I remember it too. It was the first time (of many) that Michaels disappeared for a long period of time, and I remember it being due to a knee injury. His absence was very obvious at the time, since he hadn't broken away from The Rockers yet and Marty Jannetty was all of a sudden working in singles matches and such. Back then, you never saw Marty without Shawn, Shawn without Marty. When one went missing, it was noticeable. |

Speaking of Summerslam '90 why was Tugboat on the promo poster in Hogan's corner but it turned out to be the Big Boss Man on the actual show?

Speaking of Summerslam '90 why was Tugboat on the promo poster in Hogan's corner but it turned out to be the Big Boss Man on the actual show? I think he got injured, so they replaced him with Boss Man. And since the posters and ads had already been made, they had to keep him on the poster. |

Summerslam 90 got messy for the McMahon!!
1)Tugboat who had been on TV all summer as Hogans best pal couldnt be in his corner.
2)Brutus Beefcake was supposed to beat Mr Perfect for the IC title but got injured in that parasailing accident.

What was the point of Big Bossman as enforcer in the Jake/Bad News match? Was he scheduled to feud with one of these but got it pulled?

What was the point of Big Bossman as enforcer in the Jake/Bad News match? Was he scheduled to feud with one of these but got it pulled? I think Bad News and Bossman were meant to feud but Bad News walked after SS90 |
