Move to spoiler board or whatever.
Steve Austin was asked via Twitter about Jack Swagger beating Chris Jericho at the Smackdown taping for the World Title. His response was:
"sounds too soon to me. the kid does have a bright future though."
I agree that it is soon. They should have build him up more, not just give him the belt. i hope he doesn't have a Sheamus run. Anyway, can't say I'm not happy about it!

I do agree with Austin. They should of had Swagger hold it to the Money In The Bank pay-per-view, defend it in a MITB match, retain it and cash it in anywhere between SummerSlam and Royal Rumble.

I love when people say it's too soon. Like they would rather see him job even more before winning the title, making it even less believable. Because that's what Swagger does on Raw, he jobs. Whether he looks good in the matches or not is irrelelvent, once he is staring at the lights at the end of them, that's all the crowd will choose to remember. John Cena made him look like an absolute dick on Raw, when he no-sold his briefcase shots and pretty much embarrassed him. I get that Swagger is a heel, but there has to be something in that. I truly believe Jericho and Edge insist on putting guys like him over, but when it comes to John Cena, oh no... gotta have the face of the company looking strong so the kids won't stop believing to never give up! WWE can't build up anything to save their lives anymore. The storylines start good but little things like John Cena and Batista being included in Hart/McMahon ruin them completely. So if anything, I'm glad Swagger didn't get even more raped before winning the belt.

^This
Swaggers got a much better future on Smackdown, same would of had gone for the likes of MVP, and maybe even Evan Bourne. Raw kinda destroys talent and makes most of them look like total jobbers... unless your Cena... Stay the hell away from John Cena!

The ref took awhile to get down to the ring, Cena recovered, Swagger then pulled out of the match. Its the right move to have Swagger on SmackDown anyway, because, he can get into decent feuds over there. And Batista and Cena didn't ruin the Bret Hart/McMahon storyline. They were apart of it for 2, maybe 3 weeks, that was it out of the 3 months of buildup.

I agree with Austin..I don't care what anyone says..It was way too soon..They could have at least had him win some big matches before getting the belt...I like him, but don't buy him as a main eventer just yet.

I am a Swagger fan, no doubt, but even I was saying after he won "I didn't want him to win - but if he has to, at least give him a few months to build up before cashing in." 2 nights later at tapings...

I see a future in the kid, for sure, but it's too soon. It would have made awesome sense, had they spent a month more building him up as a threat. It's as if he went from being Mr. Superstars, a midcarder, to World Champion in a few weeks. They should have put him over MVP, Bourne, JTG, Mysterio, etc. for a month or so, constantly cutting promos about how it's his time. Then maybe have him get an upset over Edge with help from Jericho, or a win over Mysterio with help from Punk, just to get him mixed in with main eventers in people's minds.
