yeah 97-98(98 especially)was awful for Hawk and Animal Road Warriors are the most overrated team ever. they got more then they deserved at that point We're not back on this again, are we? We had a whole thread about it (2 if you count the Demo thread), and the naysayers gained very little traction. Please let it go.

I wouldnt say they were over rated but I will still stand by my belief that they're not what i would call "great ring workers"

I wouldnt say they were over rated but I will still stand by my belief that they're not what i would call "great ring workers" I was specifically talking about the "over-rated" comment, but I will say that by my old school standards, they were pretty damn impressive in the ring. Your mileage may vary, of course. But then again, as I've mentioned to you in the past, I'm always surprised if modern "smart mark" fans get old school NWA wrestling at all. A lot of the things that are considered great in-ring skill by modern fans would never have flown in the kayfabe era where the match had to look like a legit fight.

I always wondered why the Bushwhackers never won the titles, but I suppose they weren't really meant to be taken too seriously and they probably didn't need them to 'get over'.

If by potential you mean teams that never won the gold then there's quite a bit. Most were killed by Demolitions reign of doom.
Can-Am Connection The Killer Bees The Bolsheviks The New Dream Team Bushwhackers The Rougeaus (Had a title win, but it was overturned) King Kong Bundy & Big John Studd Terry Funk & Dory Funk Jr Dory Funk Jr & Jimmy Jack Funk Bob Orton & Don Muraco The Islanders The Twin Towers The Skyscrapers The Orient Express Power & Glory The Young Stallions The New Foundation High Energy

not quite a tag team as such but i think the Truth Commision had potential. maybe with sniper and recon teaming and kurrgan acting as their enforcer.

I know most people prob didn't care for them..But I used to really like Lo-Down(before they got with Tiger Ali Singh)..They had some pretty good matches on Jakked..I feel like putting them with Tiger ruined any chance they had.

The Dicks And I'm being serious. As the Blond Bombers they kicked ass in OVW and could have done so much more in the WWE. I'm glad someone else feels this way.
