for me its WMV.

I love this PPV so much and watch it OFTEN-for me 89 was the zenith of entertainment from vinnie and the gang

plus the build to Hogan vs Savage and the match itself are incredible.

what say you folks?

I liked IV and V but I give it IV with a ton of superstar's,battleroyal,tournament,sixman tag,and some great other matches.

wresltemania III. probably the biggest wwf crowd at that point, andre vs. hogan, AND the ic title classic between steamboat and savage.

i voted for the original. although the others exceeded it the original was still special.

thats a fair point.its hard to beat the nostalgia of the original WM

WrestleMania IV.

For the tournament, the fact there was 14 matches, variety, and a compelling story to see Randy Savage battle Ted DiBiase in the main event (without Hogan, for the most part) and see that one year prior, Savage was the Intercontinental champion then made the transition to World champion was great.

The others are good too, with their share of moments and matches, but IV stands out to me.

Of those I voted WM3. 1987 was really great loaded yr for WWF.

WM 1 was loaded with celebs to cover for lacklucker card.

WM 2 is widely dissed critically but I attended a closed circuit of this as a kid and I enjoyed the three city theme. At the time I didn't understand why in NYC portion Susan St James got so much air-time. In later yrs finding out its Dick Ebersol's wife explained alot. In the Chicago one the main draw for all of WM2 for me was the Battle Royal with all the NFL players involved. The shock of the night for me was when Andre walked out wearing YELLOW! I was like wow he's going to lose. This is rare.

WM 3 It had what may be the biggest main event of all-time. Unaware of Andre's back probs, as kid once they brought out the "andre-belt" everyone I knew (including me) was convinced he was going to beat Hogan. So it was reverse thought of the previous yr and still wrong. haha. The IC match Savage-Steamboat is still held in high esteem. Other matches has good build to them Honky-Snake, Race-JYD. The card was loaded.

WM 4 The tourney concept alot don't like but I don't think bad of it. However one reason I can't vote it above WM3 is simply because while it was on in my house I spent time running back and forth from living room to my room watching Clash of Champions which aired opposed to it that afternoon on TBS. That stunt made it a tough sell to convince parents to order Summer Slam later that yr. haha

WM V I liked this one ok but not even close to WM3 because it was obvious Hogan was going to beat Savage for weeks leading up to it. I did get a free "Wrestlemania 5 hogan/savage" button from my cable company for ordering the ppv so that's a plus.

Just finshed III for like the millionth time tonight and I gotta say it's still one of the best WM's not only in the first 5 shows, but of all-time still. You can have your Austin-Hart's, Taker-HBK's, TLC's, and whatever else but no match to this point in time will ever eclipse Ricky the Dragon Steamboat vs. Macho Man Randy Savage.

I voted WrestleMania II for the purely selfish reason that it's the first one I watched live on TV, and it was the year of my childhood when my wrestling fandom really took off.

I could barely contain my excitement in the week leading up to WM II, knowing we would be watching it live on PPV (remember that live PPV was still a relatively new concept in '86... this was the first time our family ever ordered a show).

I was so amped to see Hogan get revenge on Bundy in the cage. I doubt that I got much sleep the night before.

WM V for me.

was the first WM that i bought on video and was what really got me into wrestling from the 80's (started watching in 1992!).

rockers v twin towers and rick rude v warrior were my favourite matches and although the action might not have made it the "best" i honestly couldn't pick a bad match.

even bobby heenan v the red rooster really entertained me!
