again from any period in his career.
as a mark for Austin I have many of course but the match that still sticks out the most is vs Bret Hart at WM13.
yeah it was a losing effort but this match IMO had it all.
it ws just a super stiff appearing bout between two superb athletes that absolutely hated each other in the storyline.
just brilliance as far as Im concerned.

Most obvious choice being vs Rock at WM X-Seven.
Also liked his match with Kurt Angle on the 8th January 2001 Raw is War episode.

Anytime he gave The Rock the Stunner, it looked like he shot him with a shotgun. It was amazing.

Agreeing with Austin/Bret WM 13...still holds up over ten years later.

I've always been a huge Austin mark, so I loved almost all of his matches as a kid. The only ones that stick out in my mind as disappointing were his matches (or was it just one?) with Rikishi after his return in '00 and anything post-NWO from '02.
His 2/3 Falls Match with Triple H at No Way Out '01 is one of my all time favorites. His match with Dude Love at Over the Edge '98 and with The Rock at Backlash '99 are two of my most-watched matches of all time, though. I was also fond of his First Blood Matches with both Undertaker (Fully Loaded '99) and Kane (KOTR '98). Since those five were the first to pop into my head, I suppose they would classify as my favorite Stone Cold matches.

My favorite Austin matches did not happen in the WWF, they were all in WCW.
All his WWF matches seemed the same to me, punching, mudhole stomping, brawling outside the ring, Lou Thesz Press, Stunner.
If I had to choose one match, I'd say it was vs Bret Hart at WM13, it was a very good match, but a little overrated at least in my opinion.
It's a shame Austin refused to give the fans what they wanted (a wrestlemania match with Hogan).

Austin VS Michaels, both at WWE KOTR '97 and WWE WM XIV, as well as Austin vs The Undertaker, WWE Summerslam '98.
I may be in the minority, as I actually didn't really care for his match against Bret at WMXIII...I like it, just not that much.
His ECW title challenge against Mikey Whipwreck at ECW December To Dismember '95 sticks out to me, if only for the rawness about him back then...

I loved his outing against Rock at Backlash 99 too.itwas better than the WM15 match
