I thinking alot about getting my first tat, the Rise Against fist logo, the only things that I am unsure of are the pain and the cost, I'm not really wanting it too big, but on the upper inside of my left forearm, so yea, could anyone give me a little insight? The pain isn't an issue. It's like a little sting that turns into a burn after a while, and I don't know if it's this way for everyone, but for me, after a minute or so I forget that it even hurts. I guess I just make peace with the fact that this is going to be a little bit annoying, but I asked for it. It doesn't bother me at all. What I learned last time I was in the chair, though, is that my right arm hurts way more than my left. I'm right handed, of my 8 tattoos, 7 of them are on my left arm. The heart that you can see above was on my right wrist. When Paul, my artist, first started that one, I went " , man, what are you doing over here?" He goes, "What?" I said "It doesn't usually feel like that. I always leave you a nice tip, bring the nice people needle out." He laughed and said "Ah, you know what, it could be your right arm. You're right handed, right? Yea. A lot of people's dominant arm hurts more." I'm not sure if that's true, but it felt that way for me. Like I said, though, after a minute I was over it and basically forgot he was working. Id agree, my heartagram and cross are both on my right forearm, and that heartagram was a killer! My right arm only has two (not counting my knuckles) while my left has four (also not counting knuckles), but that's mainly because I just wanted them to be placed that way.

Slutty woman painting finished You think you can just waltz back in here after that long absence, with your painting, and get all kinds of attention? Kidding. That's bad ass, dude, I'm way into it. I'm come a long way from that first post you put it in. Very fabulous.

nice painting there bro. ^ i'm going in to get my first tattoo on the 28th of this month. i have kinda mixed emotions out of just what of my ideas to choose. here's what i've been thinking, and you guys can maybe contribute your thoughts: 1) darrel the wendigo from the bprd comic series: i'd consider making his face a bit more menacing, angry looking. 2) 'figure 8' design, based on elliott smith's album 'figure 8' cover. it would spiral up my arm, starting at my wrist. found a pic where someone actually has it similar to the idea i was thinking: gorillaz (murdoc in his playing gear): could only find that pic. orrrr callie maggotbone from the ugly americans cartoon: just cause she's sexy. hahah

Got my first one this summer. Took a few pics of it, but the gel made for a terrible glare. But anyways, here's a pic of it the day after I got it. It's basically a common drawing that was simply an outline to start, that many have seen before, but he personalized it with the shading he did.

Just got out, home now.
Was in the chair for about 3 hours and 50 minutes. My left arm from the elbow-down is finished. I'm all plastic'ed up, so I'll hold off on pictures.

Very awesome man My next, which should be next week: Getting him on my arm underneath my armpit with the words "Man of Faith" in bold below it.

It's horribly done. Now you KNOW I was kidding. I'm way into it, man. The detail on the tights is in crazy. You're going to get it colored up, I assume? I'm excited to see some finished pictures. Post some more in a few days when you get some healing going on.

Haha thanks dude I was like >_< when I first read your comment my heart sank a lil' aha! I just need lots more shading done on the top half like only the corset, above the waist has any shading so far everything else is just outlines and a tiny bit of shading. But I payed for 3 hours and we started about 1.40 and she worked right up until closing time! (5oclock) Really happy with it so far can't wait to get it finished. This is the second tattoo she's done for me and she said she been excited to do it all week

I just assumed it would be color because it was unfinished, but since it went all the way until closing time I understand. I was just in the chair for 4 hours yesterday myself, having my left fore arm finished up. I'm still very red, but I'll have pictures soon.

Yesterday's 4 hour sesh is when I got all of the fill in work, the "6.1.6" in the pit, and the Lights "The Listening" artwork right underneath my elbow.
