Raw - January 4 EJ Nutter Center - Dayton, OH
We have the pyros hit the arena for a long time, as we are prepared for Monday Night Raw's 3-hour extravaganza! We are welcomed by Jim Ross and Matt Striker for Smackdown, Todd Grisham and Josh Mathews for ECW, and lastly Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole for Raw. The arena goes silent, and the lights go out. A display on the titantron shows a sky view of Miami. The crowd pops loudly. "If ya smell!" It stops for a few moments, "What The Rock," the lights come on, "Is cookin!" Out comes The Rock to the ramp. He looks to the audience who are basically losing their minds now. He takes his time on the top of the ramp, and walks down to the ring. He gets onto the apron, climbs the turnbuckle, and does his arm raising taunt. He gets into the ring, takes a mic, and his music fades out. The arena erupts with "Rocky" chants. He laughs then raises the mic, "Finally! The Rock! Has come back... to Ohio!" An even louder pop as it seems as if the arena is going to collapse with such an eruption. "The Rock has come here to Monday Night Raw at the top of the show at the special start time of 8 to deliver a message to the WWE and TNA along with Hulk Hogan!" Some boos for TNA, "You see, The Hulkster... a WWE Hall of Famer decided to jump ship over to Total Nonstop Action over on Spike TV. The Rock is dedicated to the WWE and that's why he came here tonight to help promote it. The WWE, sure, may have a bunch of candy ass no good talent on it's roster, but it damn sure is still the best sports entertainment in the world. That includes the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the Atlantic Ocean, Gabon, Egypt, Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, the Pacific Ocean, and back here and Dayton, Ohio!" The crowd pops over the speech and The Rock begins to talk in a more serious toned voice, "Well, The Rock may be done with his wrestling and he may be moving onto acting, which by the way... my new movie The Tooth Fairy is in theaters in just 18 days... but you have not seen the last of The Brahma Bull in the WWE!" The crowd erupts again and more "Rocky" chants. "Voices" hits around the arena, and out comes Randy Orton to the ramp along with Cody Rhodes, MVP, and Mark Henry. "Rock... the last time you were in a WWE Ring was at WrestleMania 20, where Evolution... which included myself, defeated you and Mick Foley. In that match I would pin the man who along with Hulk Hogan, is now over on TNA... Mick Foley." The crowd boos and Rock responds, "Randy, Randy, Randy... hold on. I think you're being kind of rude, don't ya think?" Randy looks confused, "I mean... you haven't even introduced me to your friends." Randy looks at him then begins to speak, "Rock, this here is the best stable in the WWE. It consists of myself along with Co-" The Rock cuts him off, "It doesn't matter what their names are! All that matters tonight is that the WWE doesn't have to here you talk. I believe that you may of just cost us at least, at minimum, 99% of our viewers, because honestly Randy, you are boring us more to death then any of the guest hosts that appeared on Raw for 6 months!" The crowd cheers Rock. "So let me make... one offer. If you want to be all high and mighty by being the man who was the reason for my last match featuring me on the losing end, you face The Rock here tonight!" The crowd goes the most nuts they have tonight. Randy looks determined and begins to walk down the ramp as Rock gets prepared. Randy stops half way down, "I don't think so. I don't have to put myself against an old washed up has-been like you!" The Rock and the crowd are extremely disappointed. Randy, Cody, Henry, and MVP begin to back up the ramp. Out on top comes Teddy Long. "Hold up, playas... now the WWE invited The Rock just to make a small appearance and speak. But it seems as if one of the greatest in the history of WWE now wants to be in action for the first time in nearly 5 years... I say we do it! So tonight in the main event it will be Randy Orton versus The Rock!" The crowd and Rock seem ultimately satisfied, as Orton looks in anger.
Commercial Break
We return, where Cody Rhodes is sitting at ringside. Out comes Evan Bourne, and he makes his way down to the ring. Rhodes stands up with a mic, "Evan, as promised recently, you will be facing a debuting superstar. He comes formerly from TNA... let me introduce you to Kaval." Out comes Kaval (Senshi/Low-Ki) and he gets into the ring.
Evan Bourne vs Kaval
The bell rings, and Kaval screechs a warrior yell. He runs at Bourne, who ducks under the arm. Kaval ducks a clothesline from him and hits tons of kicks. He then moves around slowly, and delivers a sharp chop to the chest. Bourne collapses into the corner, and Kaval hits some more chops. He pulls Bourne up into a tree of woe. He backs up to the opposite corner, and runs. A baseball slide, but Bourne pulls himself up. He stands on the turnbuckle as Kaval rises, and goes for a backflip. He drops Kaval onto the mat. A pin attempt, and a kick out. They both rise and Bourne delivers some shots. They go back and forth a little while, and Bourne hits off the ropes and returns with a huge dropkick. Kaval falls into the ropes. He leans in between the 2nd and 3rd and holds on. Bourne walks over after getting up, and Kaval pulls himself up a bit and hits a kick to the gut. He then sends a hard kick to the jaw, dropping Bourne to the mat. He climbs to the top turnbuckle and jumps off with a double foot stomp. After he delivers it, he hits a standing moonsault and covers for the 3.
Winner of the match: Kaval (4:59) **
Post-match, Kaval celebrates his victory. Rhodes looks on in enjoyment of it.
We cut backstage. We see ECW General Manager Tiffany, Smackdown General Manager Paul Heyman, and Raw General Manager Theodore Long. They begin to talk.
Paul: First of all, tonight may be Mickie James' last night here in the WWE... so as we talked about earlier, it will be a Lumberjill Match. Teddy: One step ahead of ya, playa, I already got all of those Lumberjills ready. What else do we have? Tiffany: I actually have a great idea for tonight. Paul: What's that? To make ECW look even more like a joke?
She looks at him in disgust.
Teddy: Now, now, let's just get crackin. What's your idea Tiffany? Tiffany: Well, seeing as the Royal Rumble is only just about 4 weeks away, we have ourselves a Royal Rumble preview. Featuring 2 men from each brand, and the winner gets into the Royal Rumble Match.
Paul and Teddy agree, and the match is set.
Commercial Break
Out to the ring comes Maryse, Kelly Kelly, Brie and Nikki Bella, Melina, Eve, Gail Kim, Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes, and Natalya for the Lumberjill Match.
Title vs Career - Lumberjill Match for the Women's Championship Michelle McCool© vs Mickie James
Out comes Mickie and proceeded by Michelle. The bell rings and the divas lock up. Quickly, Michelle throws Mickie to the outside. She gets beat down by the heel divas, but over come the faces to back them off. Mickie gets back into the ring only to be stomped. Michelle pulls her up and delivers some shots, and runs off the ropes for a clothesline, but Mickie ducks. She grabs her by the hair and tosses her out to the face divas. They begin a small attack and throw her back in. Mickie then takes advantage and stays in control for about 3 minutes, lasting a long time with moves and near falls. Michelle fights back and throws her over the ropes. She turns and taunts to the crowd, but doesn't notice Mickie landed on the apron. The challenger climbs to the top rope, and Michelle turns. However, Natalya hops onto the apron and pushes Mickie down. She turns and begins to yell at her, and she turns right into a kick to the gut and the Faith Breaker. Michelle pins her for the 3.
Winner and still Women's Champion: Michelle McCool (7:38) **
Post-match, Michelle raises the Women's Title high. Outside the ring, Beth clotheslines Natalya. The other heels get angry, and begin to fight with Beth, who gets ganged up on. All the faces come over to defend her. This leads into a diva brawl, and we have officials come down to break it up.
Up next is CM Punk vs Ezekiel Jackson.
Commercial Break
Non-Title Match World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs Ezekiel Jackson
Jackson makes his way to the ring, followed up by Punk. The bell rings, and Punk puts his hands out. He begins to talk to Jackson, begging him off. He then delivers a cheap shot with a kick. He immediatly tries for the GTS, but Jackson slips off the shoulder and hits a clothesline from behind. He talks some smack to him and yanks him up by the hair and throws him against the corner. Some huge punches to the forehead, and a lift up by the waist and dropped down with a spinning spinebuster. Jackson attempts a pin, but a kick out from the World Champion. Punk gets to his feet slowly on the other side and Jackson follows him. Punk rakes the eyes and delivers a bulldog from behind. He attempts to lock in a quick Anaconda Vise, but Jackson overpowers him off. The World Champ slips out of the ring and begins to walk up the ramp. As he's halfway up pointing to his head saying he's smarter, Kane comes out behind him. He walks right up behind Punk, who turns slowly then backs to the ring. He tries talking to him, and Jackson reaches over the ropes and grabs him by the hair. He forces him onto the apron and pulls him into the ring. He hits lots of powerful mat moves for a while. He lifts Punk up for the Chokeslam, and he drops down to the mat on his feet. He hits a low kick to the legs, then a dropkick knocking Jackson back into the referee. Jackson walks back and is hit with a low blow. Kane steps into the ring and Punk backs down to the corner. Kane grabs him by the throat and holds him against the corner. Down to the ring comes Vladimir Kozlov, and he turns Kane around and hits some shots. He clotheslines him over the top rope. Jackson gets up and Kozlov runs and delivers the Battering Ram. He slips out of the ring fast, allowing Punk to run over and cover him. The referee stirs and counts the 3.
Winner of the match: CM Punk (10:30) ***
Post-match, Punk slips out of the ring and takes his World Title. He taunts to Kane, who sits up. Punk backs off quickly, and goes through the crowd.
Up next is the tri-branded Battle Royal for a Royal Rumble Match spot.
Commercial Break
We return with yet another new Edge returning promo for Royal Rumble. It ends saying "27 days". The crowd pops.
Tri-Branded 6-Man Battle Royal - Royal Rumble Match Qualifier Evan Bourne vs Sheamus vs Paul Burchill vs Finlay vs Goldust vs Eric Escobar
Order of entry: Eric Escobar, Finlay, Evan Bourne, Goldust, Paul Burchill, Sheamus. This battle royal starts off pretty basic, with Burchill/Finlay, Escobar/Goldust, Sheamus/Bourne, all going at it. Some quick brutal moves from the bigger men. This all switches up and we got different people getting each other. Goldust hits the Shattered Dreams on Burchill, and Sheamus comes from behind and takes him over the top. Goldust is eliminated (2:10). Finlay then begins to trade blows with Sheamus. Bourne runs at the turnbuckle to Burchill and jumps in the air landing on the 2nd turnbuckle. He begins to deliver the 10 punches, and on the 4th, Burchill drops him over the top. Evan Bourne is eliminated (3:58). Finlay is continuing to deliver strike after strike to Sheamus, as Burchill and Escobar fight as well. This goes on for about 2 minutes, and Finlay runs over and clotheslines Escobar over the top rope. Eric Escobar is eliminated (6:09). Burchill then goes up behind Finlay and begins to try and pull him over the top. Sheamus then goes up behind them both and eliminates them. Finlay and Paul Burchill are eliminated (6:20).
Winner of the match: Sheamus (6:20) **
Sheamus celebrates his victory and qualify for the Royal Rumble Match. Finlay and Burchill look angry at it.
We go down a review for matches happening later tonight: The Rock vs Randy Orton; Undertaker vs William Regal; Jerishow defends the Unified Tag Team Championship against D-Generation X; and up next MVP, Mark Henry, and Batista vs Kofi Kingston, Ted DiBiase, and Chavo Guerrero.
Commercial Break
We return, and backstage is Santino Marella. He is talking to Teddy Long in the office. "So... abouta my show here tonight..." Teddy looks at him, "Santino, I know you really want to do this, but I just can't get you any time." He looks at him upset, "But I bakeda you a cake?" He turns around and picks up a cake, giving it to Teddy. "It tastesa little like uh paint... but thatsa about it." Teddy thanks him, "You know, Santino... how about next week?" Santino claps like a little child, "Really!? You meana it!? Finally! I cana be like Katie Couric!" He skips out of the office.
If MVP/Henry/Batista win, MVP and Henry will qualify for the Royal Rumble Match, if Kofi/Ted/Chavo win, Ted will qualify. MVP, Mark Henry, and Batista vs Kofi Kingston, Ted DiBiase, and Chavo Guerrero
The heels are out first, followed by Chavo, Kofi, and Ted. The bell rings as Chavo is starting things off with MVP. They lock up, and some quick back and forth action goes. Chavo delivers a suplex quickly and attempts an armbar. MVP throws him over and applies one of his own. They trade some submission mat moves for a minute, before MVP pulls off and begins a stomp beat down. He pulls Chavo up and hits some strikes and rakes the eyes. He whips him to the corner and walks over. He tags in Henry, who gets in. They double team a bit, and Chavo strikes Henry a few times. He turns to Batista and hits some. The World's Strongest Man pulls him back and delivers a huge club to the lower back. He delivers tons of powerful moves. He picks Chavo up for the World's Strongest Slam, but Chavo hits an elbow to the side repeatedly. He drops to the mat, and trips Henry into the ropes. He rolls across the ring and tags in Kofi. In he comes and lots of kicks to the lower part of Henry. He hits a combination of at least 10. He jumps up for a kick to the head and delivers. Henry falls out of the ring. Kofi hits off the ropes, comes back, and dives over the top rope but is caught in the arms of the big man, and he is crushed against the steel post.
Commercial Break
We return, where in the ring we have Batista manhandling Kofi, and he delivers a huge suplex. A pin attempt but a kick out. They both rise and Kofi tries to fight back, but Batista delivers a clothesline. He stays in control for 2 minutes working on the neck and spine the whole time of it. He lifts him for a Spinebuster, but Kofi grabs hold of the shoulders and rolls himself over the head. He spins around to deliver a huge roundhouse kick. Both men are laid out in the middle of the ring. The crowd begins to get behind Kofi, and after about 30 seconds, both of them manage their way to their corners. Kofi tags in Ted as Batista tags in MVP. They both get in. MVP goes for a clothesline but Ted ducks it and delivers shot after shot. The momentum after a minute is ended after Batista clubs Ted from behind after hitting off the ropes. Chavo runs across the ring and takes Batista off the apron. This brings Henry over to take him down. Kofi comes in as well. They all scramble this brawl outside the ring. MVP is setting up for the Ballin Elbow, but notices all the action. He begins to yell at them on the outside. He backs up, and Ted is up and delivers Dream Street. He covers for the 3.
Winners of the mach: Ted DiBiase, Kofi Kingston, and Chavo Guerrero (15:39) ***
Chavo and Kofi get back into the ring to celebrate the victory.
We go to a screen where we see ECW Champion William Regal making his way down a hallway, he is facing The Undertaker next.
Commercial Break
We return backstage where we see Savannah. She welcomes her guests, Jerishow. She asks what their strategy for tonight's match with DX is. "You know, Savannah..." Chris begins, "You ask some idiotic questions. Jerishow challenged D-Generation X to this match here tonight, so obviously we have a strategy, but we aren't going to be sharing it with you... or any of those parasites out in that arena. You see, we are already 2 hours into the 3 here tonight, and the best has yet to come. No, I am not talking about The Rock... who, yes, I did defeat along with Stone Cold Steve Austin in the same night to become the first Undisputed Champion... I am talking about Jerishow retaining the Unified Tag Team Championships." Show speaks after, "And if you're not down with that... we got 3 words for you DX... Deal With It." They walk off.
Non-Title Match ECW Champion William Regal (w/ Vladimir Kozlov) vs The Undertaker
Regal makes his way out first along with Kozlov, followed by The Undertaker. After his entrance is over, the bell rings. They walk around the ring and Regal backs off slowly. As Taker walks to him, he delivers thumb to the eye and begins to pound on the back repeatedly. Taker clasps his hand around the throat suddenly and drops him with a chokeslam early. Regal wisely rolls out of the ring and talks with Kozlov. Taker comes flying over the top rope diving into both of them. He rises slowly after, and takes the ECW Champion back to the ring. He towers over him on his knees and delivers strike after strike to the head. He pulls Regal up and hits off the ropes. He returns for the jumping clothesline, but he avoids it. Regal quickly delivers tons of stomps and tries to apply a Regal Stretch, but Taker is to tall. He slips out of the ring in frustration. He grabs the ECW Title and gets back in. As Taker rises he swings the title at the head. However, Taker ducks it and grabs him by the throat. He takes hold of the groin and flips him up for the Tombstone. He drops him down and folds the hands over the chest for the 3 count.
Winner of the match: The Undertaker (4:35) *1/2
Post-match, Kozlov gets into the ring. He gets right up against the Dead Man, and begins to strike him. They trade some blows fast. Out from behind comes CM Punk and he clocks him with the World Title. He nods to Kozlov, and mocks Taker with the title.
Commercial Break
We return with Lawler and Cole announcing that the #1 contender for the Diva's Championship, Gail Kim, will be getting her shot at the Royal Rumble.
Unified Tag Team Championship Jerishow© vs D-Generation X
DX comes out first and does their regular skit. Jerishow comes out after. It looks like Jericho and Michaels will be starting the match. The bell rings. They lock up quickly, and Michaels suplexes Jericho fast. He gets back up and waits for Jericho. He delivers another one. This goes on a couple more times until Y2J gets angry. He shoves Michaels, who looks jokingly insulted. This gives the advantage and Y2J hits him in the gut with a kick. Some straight shots to the back repeatedly. He pulls him to the corner and delivers some more shots. HBK pushes him down to the mat, and he rolls back up. He goes back and gets pushed down again. Jericho gets up angry now and yells at him, "Enough with the games!" He charges at Michaels, who punches him hard. He delivers some more and pulls him to his corner. A tag to Hunter, and he gets in. Some shots from him and a huge knee drop. He kicks him in the gut and sets up for the Pedigree, but before he can hook the arms Jericho pushes him away. On the walk back, he hits an enziguri on HHH. He crawls to his corner and tags in Show. He gets in and walks over Hunter's back. He pulls him up and delivers some powerful moves for about a minute. He yanks him up again and goes for the Knockout Punch, which HHH ducks and delivers some strikes of his own. This goes on back and forth for about 5 minutes, before Michaels gets tagged back in. He pops back up after each knock down from Show, and he ducks a big boot. Some more strikes until he is against the ropes. Michaels is pushed back to his own corner, as Jericho blind tags Show. HHH tags himself in as HBK looks dazed. He yells at Hunter as he walks to Show, who delivers a Knockout Punch well he's distracted with Shawn. Jericho covers him as Michaels is hit with the big boot from Big Show and Y2J gets the 3.
Winners and STILL Unified Tag Team Champions: Jerishow (12:49) ***
They celebrate their victory, as Michaels looks at his partner in half-anger, half-disappointment.
Commercial Break
We return after an official video announcing The Rock as the first inductee to the Hall of Fame.
Randy Orton makes his way down to the ring along with Rhodes, MVP, and Henry. Before anything else, the referee ejects the others from ringside. They argue, and make their way to the back with the crowd singing "Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good bye."
Randy Orton vs The Rock
After they are gone, The Rock makes his way down to the ring. The crowd still has the same amount of pop from the start of the show. The bell rings and Rock looks around the arena. Orton steps up to him, and he gets hit with 3 quick punches. The Rock knocks him to the mat and he rolls out. Rock taunts as Orton walks around the ring. After slipping in, Rock pulls him up only to have the eyes raked. Orton begins to deliver some slow-paced offense for a little while. He attempts a roll up pin with the tights, but Rock kicks out. He pops back up quickly and delivers some more strikes. He finishes off a series of 6 with a huge snap DDT. A pin attempt, but Orton kicks out. Rock continues control for about 2 minutes, and Orton ducks under the arm and clotheslines him over the top rope. He follows out in rage and pulls him up but Rock pushes him away. As he begins to catch his breath, Orton runs over and delivers a huge RKO out of nowhere. The referee, being at the count of 3 only, continues to count Rock out well Orton gets back in. At 7, the crowd is concerned as Rock is laid out on his back. At 8 however, Rock kips up and stumbles a bit. He rolls back in right before 10. Orton continues to stomp him, but after a few, Rock catches one. He trips him up and rises quickly. He holds both legs out, looks to the crowd, and applies the Sharpshooter. Orton scrambles around rapidly looking for the ropes. After a minute or so, he is about to reach them but Rock pulls him out to the center. Orton begins to yell out in rage, and he forces The Rock into the ropes. Off the comeback, he attempts a roll up but he kicks out. They both rise, and Orton ducks a shot and delivers the Overdrive. We are questioned if Rock can rebound as we go to a break.
Commercial Break
We return, and Orton has Rock in a chinlock. Rock is beginning to fade out as the referee raises his arm. On the 3rd, however, he keeps it up. Rock begins to move his hands around wildly and pulls himself up. Orton pulls off on the rise and hits a shot to the back. He spins him around and delivers more and more, but Rock ducks one of them, and begins to strike back quickly. He delivers a huge jumping clothesline after hitting the ropes and pops back up. Orton scrambles to his feet and is hit with the clothesline. Rock looks to the crowd well standing over Orton, and removes an elbow pad slowly. He tosses it to the crowd, and hits off the ropes. He comes back for the People's Elbow and delivers it. He gets back up, and gets in his stance ready for the Rock Bottom. Orton begins to crawl to the ropes. He manages to wobble himself up. He turns to Rock, who lifts him for it, but he pulls off. He jumps for the RKO but is pushed into the ropes. Rock lifts him for another spinebuster and delivers. He then removes his other elbow pad, tosses it to the opposite side of the crowd this time, and goes for the People's Elbow a 2nd time. However, Orton pulls himself out of the way. He gets up in the corner. As Rock rises to his hands and knees after a little while, Orton runs for the punt. Rock manages to barely move out of the way and pop to his feet. He delivers a huge Rock Bottom in the middle of the ring and covers The Viper for the win.
Winner of the match: The Rock (20:40) ****
Rock gets up and celebrates his victory. He gets on the turnbuckle emotionally, and raises his fist in the air. Down to the ring comes MVP and Rhodes to end the party, but Rock begins to fight them off quickly. In comes Henry, and he overpowers Rock. Orton begins to rise, and they begin a 4-on-1 beat down. This brings out Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, and Ted DiBiase. However, through out the brawl they cannot keep up. They all get powered down. Out for the first time to night, comes WWE Champion John Cena. He gets into the ring and begins to plow through all the heels. He clotheslines Mark Henry over the top rope, knocks Rhodes and MVP down with shoulder blocks, getting them to roll out and he glares at Orton. He walks over to him, and they begin to trade blows. Cena, however, delivers a huge Thesz Press, and hits tons of punches. He rises, and delivers the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. The Rock looks on in the corner, as Bourne, Kofi, and Ted stay on the opposite side. Cena and Rock nod to each other, and the WWE Champ pulls Orton up. He throws him to Rock, who delivers one last Rock Bottom. Rock's music plays as the 5 men taunt, with Rock in the middle, to end Raw.
-------
Side notes: Yes, The Rock in a match is quite big, just thought it'd be quite good competition for TNA. And I did realize mentioning TNA might be somewhat of a bad idea, however, I thought it'd get a little mentioning for some heat.

First of all I have to say I don't like the TNA references. WWE would never mention TNA on air especially when TNA aren't competition at all. The Rock promo was good despite him and Randy mentioning TNA so much. I dont like The Rock returning to the ring. If he wrestled again he would do it at Wrestlemania not on Raw. Plus if The Rock has any match it needs to be against Cena or Shawn Michaels.
Good opener not sure on Kaval beating Bourne clean on his debut I think Rhodes should have interfered or something to keep Bourne looking strong.
Wow surprised you had Mickie go just like that I would have expected more of an exit for her since she is probably one of the best divas they have had since Trish. Liked the little diva brawl though.
Good win for Punk over Ezekiel Jackson. Interference worked well to keep Jackson strong. CM Punk running when Kane sits up works well for his character.
Love that Sheamus won the battle royal. I hope he makes a huge impact in the Rumble and makes it into the final 5.
Good six man tag. I am glad the faces won and DiBiase is in the Rumble.
Good match between Taker and Regal. Good for Taker to win although I could have seen Regal winning thanks to Punk. CM Punk standing over him works well.
Glad JeriShow retained. I liked HHH and HBK having some trouble, I hope we see them break up soon and end up feuding to Wrestlemania.
Good main event. Not sure about The Rock winning. Since I am guessing this is a one off appearance the win does nothing for The Rock and if it happened should have really been used to elevate Randy Orton. Post match worked well. I wish we saw a bit more Cena/Rock interaction. After all the stuff Cena has said about The Rock I think the two really should have done something more even if they dont face off at Wrestlemania or anytime.
Overall not bad. Really the only main negatives was the TNA references and The Rock wrestling otherwise it was a decent show.

You certainly have my interest off the bat with The Rock. A TNA plug? Don't like that, it'd never happen in a million years. Orton vs. Rock is way way too big for an episode of Raw, unless the match doesn't really happen. Another TNA reference in Kaval? Still don't get that. But Kaval/Bourne was a nice match to open with. Like Heyman's jab at Tiffany. Really surprised Mickie lost, wonder how you will bring her back in. Punk/Zeke was a nice match, the finish didn't hurt Zeke too much. Like the idea of the mini Rumble. Santino baking a cake is random, lol. Really surprised the face team won that six-man tag. Really nice promo by JeriShow there. Taker/Regal is another nice match, finish was obvious. Wonder if there's a future Punk/Kozlov alliance or if this was just a one-time thing. JeriShow over DX was what I figured, pretty big match considering it didn't main event and it had a finish. Main event was really good, but again, way way too big of a thing to do on Raw. Overall, it was a really good show, but I really didn't like Rock/Orton on Raw and the TNA references.

ML WWE 2009 - I find it horrible that you decided to plug TNA on WWE television. Vince would never, ever give TNA the opportunity to be plugged on his show liked that. My god, you did it TWICE! - not a fan of Rock actually wrestling either. I’m sure that would never happen, but it will be interesting to see what happens. - Kaval/Bourne is a great way to start the show in wrestling portion. Glad to see Kaval pick up the win as Bourne has some decent crowd support. - Alright women’s match. Not that big of a fan of that division. - Good win for Punk, although it wasn’t clean or anything, it’s a win nonetheless. - Not a fan of Sheamus, so I do not like him winning the six man battle royal. Also, I don’t like Bourne pulling double duty when I would think their could have been someone else to compete in the match. - Glad to see Dibiase involved in the Royal Rumble. I could see him winning it as he plenty of talent. - Decent match with Regal/Taker with Taker obviously going over the ECW champion. - Glad to see Jerishow actually beat DX. That was a pleaseant sight to see. - Not a fan of the Rock pinning Randy Orton. The only way this is a good move is if you have Rock return to the WWE. - Decent show.

The show could have been great, but lost all credibility when you had The Rock give TNA free advertisement live on-air. That would be the biggest mistake anyone could make going up against a rival company. Also, not to mention the fact that WWE will never, and has no need to, acknowledge TNA. Topping it all off by having The Rock wrestle in the main event = a big no no. If he was going to compete, it would have been hyped for weeks, months in advance, and it would NOT have taken place on RAW, for free. The whole show had a feel of desperation to it, like you were trying too hard, and in the end, came out in disappointing fashion.

ECW - January 5 Freedom Hall-KY - Louisville, KY After the pyros for the show hit we are welcomed by Todd Grisham and Josh Mathews, and we will be heading straight into the action of ECW.
Road to Rumble Last Shot Round 1 Match Yoshi Tatsu vs Tyler Reks
Reks out first, followed by Tatsu. The bell rings and the two men shake hands out of respect. The match starts off pretty fast with some trading control for a minute or so and Reks hits a flying clothesline. He applies a chinlock early on and keeps it in. Tatsu uses his athleticism to swing a kick up and hit him in the head. He fights back fast and rises up. He manages some control and hits a huge dropkick to knock Reks into the corner. He follows, but is hit with a jab straight to the forehead. Reks then hops onto the top turnbuckle and delivers a huge crossbody, however, Tatsu rolls him over and keeps his shoulders down. Surprisingly, Reks kicks out. They both rise and he keeps his control on the smaller Tatsu. They go back and forth for a minute, and Tatsu goes for a low kick, but Reks catches it. He goes for a clothesline and Tatsu ducks pulling his leg out in the process. He gets behind Reks and when he turns he delivers the kick to the back of the head and covers for the 3.
Winner of the match: Yoshi Tatsu (6:34) **
Tatsu celebrates his victory and helps Reks up. He shakes his hand. Into the ring though comes Drew Dalton. He runs at them and delivers a double clothesline. Dalton continues an assault for a minute until the former ECW Champion Christian makes his way down to the ring. He begins to trade blows with Dalton and hits a huge dropkick. This makes the big man slip out of the ring and walk away. Christian stands along the ropes staring him down.
Commercial Break
We return where backstage we see Tiffany in her office. She is on the phone talking about The Rock on Raw last night. In comes Eric Escobar and Vickie Guerrero. "The Rock is a scam!" Vickie yells, "He took up valuable time on Raw last night when my man Eric Escobar could be out there performing." Tiffany just looks at her, "Eric should be happy that I am willing to give him any time on air with an annoying pig like you, Vickie. So run along, cause you might want to focus on that match with Tommy Dreamer tonight." They walk out slowly and angry.
Road to Rumble Last Shot Round 1 Match Mike Knox vs The Hurricane (w/Goldust)
Hurricane and Goldust make their way to the ring together. They are followed up by Mike Knox, making his return to ECW after the trade last week. The bell rings and Hurricane extends his hand. Knox has none of it and immediatly big boots him in the face. He begins to stomp down hard and pulls Hurricane up. He shoves him into the corner and delivers some massive shots rapidly. He continues his rage until Hurricane pushes him back a little. He hops onto the middle turnbuckle and dives off only to be caught. Knox stalls him for a little while then spins him around, drops him onto his feet, and delivers the Knox Out. He covers him in this basically squash match.
Winner of the match: Mike Knox (2:52) *
Post-match, Knox stands over him as the referee tells him to back off. Goldust looks on in concern and Knox stares him down as he exits.
We then cut to a video promoting the debut of Bryan Danielson. He is training in an empty arena with an unknown person. He applies the Cattle Mutilation making the opponent scream for mercy. Danielson lets go. The video then cuts to him walking down a hall with the voiceover of him talking, "I have been through harder battles then any military man has ever been a part of... and ECW will be no different, I will walk into that battle and win. I am Bryan Danielson, the American Dragon." It says 'Bryan Danielson Debuts Next Week' and the video fades.
Commercial Break
If Escobar wins, he is in the Royal Rumble Match Tommy Dreamer vs Eric Escobar (w/Vickie Guerrero)
We return with Eric Escobar making his way to the ring. He is followed by Dreamer to a small pop. The bell rings and they lock up. Escobar takes control early on with an arm behind the back. Dreamer slips out of it and applies one of his own. Escobar drops to a knee and throws him over. He applies a tight chinlock. Dreamer tries to pry the arms off and gets to his feet with him and delivers elbows to the gut. Dreamer lifts him for the Dreamer Driver but can't manage the weight and Escobar drops to his feet. A huge big boot to the jaw and he knocks the ECW Original down. Escobar keeps control for a little over a minute and the crowd begins to chant 'Tommy' over and over again willing him on. He ducks a hard clothesline and takes Escobar down and delivers tons of punches. He rises and taunts to the crowd and begins to work on Escobar's mid section. He pulls him up and sets up for the Dreamer DDT but Escobar pushes him to the corner. Dreamer backs out and turns straight into the Pure Escobar. He is covered for the 3 count.
Winner of the match: Eric Escobar (5:20) **
Post-match, Escobar continues to beat down on Dreamer. He delivers shot after shot and yanks him up. He throws the hardcore Dreamer to the outside and searches under the ring. He pulls out a steel chair and waits for him to rise, he swings it only to have Dreamer duck. He delivers a low kick and takes the chair. He clocks Escobar over the head with it! Dreamer smirks with satisfaction and taunts to the crowd.
We cut to backstage where Abraham Washington is walking down to a hall, the Abraham Washington Show is next.
Commercial Break
The Edge return promo video from the night before plays.
We return after that on the ramp where The Abraham Washington Show is going to take place. Washington sits down and welcomes us to the show. "Now, I know all of you would love to see somebody like Hurricane... Goldust... Ezekiel Jackson or some freak like that be my guest here tonight." The crowd popped a bit for each name, "But that isn't going to happen. My guests tonight are probably the toughest men in the wrestling business today, Vladimir Kozlov and your ECW Champion, William Regal." They come out, and Abraham welcomes them. Some chatting early on, and Kozlov stays standing as Regal sits. Washington asks Regal first off about Bryan Danielson which Regal responds to, "First off I have never seen this man compete, however, I like his attitude." Washington then asks him about losing to Undertaker last night, and Regal denies losing to him. He lastly asks what about facing Ezekiel Jackson and Vladimir Kozlov at Royal Rumble. "You know something, sunshine... Kozlov knows that his time will come one day but right now he needs to stick with me to be on the top once it's all said and done. So at the Royal Rumble he will assure that I remain the King of ECW. As for Ezekiel Jackson, I don't care one bit what that joke of a competitor does because he will not walk out with my ECW Title." Jackson comes out to the ramp. Kozlov gets in his face and Jackson talks into his own mic, "Moscow Mauler... I don't want to have to maul you again like I did 2 weeks ago, so you should get out of my way." They stare down a bit and Regal stands up, "Ezekiel, don't you think you are taking this a bit to far? Why don't you go back to your locker room and mind your own busi-" Jackson cuts him off, "Why don't you shut your mouth before I bust it!" He drops the mic and backs up from Kozlov, who is ready to fight as well. Washington cuts them off and yells 'And that's about it!' and walks to the back. Jackson stares at Kozlov, who is being held back by Regal.
Commercial Break
Ladder Match for the Managerial Services of Rosa Mendes Zack Ryder vs Curt Hawkins
Hawkins is out first, followed by Ryder who brings Rosa with him. The contract of her is hanging above the ring and the bell rings. They circle, and Ryder slips out. He takes a ladder quickly only to be attacked by Hawkins from behind. They trade some blows, and Ryder pushes him down hard. He takes the ladder into the ring. He gets in after and sets it up. He begins to climb it, and Hawkins follows. He climbs up right behind him and yanks him down by the tights. He mounts Ryder and delivers a bunch of strikes for a minute straight, and pulls him up to throw him into the steel post. Hawkins begins to climb the ladder himself, and Ryder hops onto the other side. He scurries up fast and they begin to trade punches back and forth. Ryder pushes Hawkins down quickly, and he lands on his feet and hits off the ropes. He comes back fast and pushes the ladder over, making Ryder hang up on the ropes and fall to the mat. Hawkins pulls the ladder up again and begins to stomp his opponent. He pulls Ryder up to his knees and gets hit with a low blow. He jumps back up and clotheslines Hawkins to the mat. He takes his time catching his breathe, rises to his feet, and climbs up the ladder slowly. Hawkins is getting up on the other side when he is halfway up. Ryder begins to race to the top, and Hawkins makes it up as he's reaching. He delivers some punches and as Ryder goes for one he yanks him to the mat and they lay out.
Commercial Break
We return and both men are exhausted. However, Ryder is forcing himself to deliver some uppercuts in the corner. Hawkins delivers a strike back and begins to gain back some momentum, he gets faster with each punch. A dropkick and he sends Ryder to the outside. He gets up slowly, taking his time, and sets the ladder back up. He begins to climb. He makes it halfway until Ryder gets back in with a chair and hits him in the leg. On the 2nd swing however, he avoids it and jumps down with a cross body. Both men rise around the same time, and Hawkins delivers a Lifting DDT. The crowd begins to get behind him chanting "Hawkins" repeatedly. He gets to his knees and manages his way towards the ladder. He pulls himself up as Ryder begins to stir. Once he reaches to the top, Ryder is almost there as well. They trade shots on top. The camera switches towards the ramp where Primo is running down! He has a new look with shorter hair, a full beard, and wearing short tights. He picks up a ladder on the outside and gets in the ring with it. He swings it up and hits Hawkins in the gut. Ryder claps and says "Woo Woo Woo! You Know It!" and reaches up for the contract. But Primo hits him as well. He gets rid of his ladder and climbs up the one that's standing and he takes the contract! The commentators assume it'll be a no contest as Primo drops down.
Winner of the match: No Contest (14:19) ***
Primo gets out of the ring and grabs Rosa by the arm. He points to her contract and pulls her up the ramp. Ryder and Hawkins both begin to rise on their knees in the ring and look up the ramp in confusion to end ECW.

Just a heads up, if you consistently want a solid amount of replies, you might need to cool down on how often you post shows. Intriguing main event, although I think Ryder will win. Like the idea of a match for a last shot into the Rumble, makes the match seem even more important. Knox over Cane is fine, I like the Hurricane/Goldust combo. Danielson coming in is cool. Figured Escobar would win. Liked the idea of putting the guys in the title match on the AWS. Interesting ending to the ladder match. It makes Primo look important, but that sends Ryder & Hawkins somewhat down in my opinion. Interesting show to say the last, although it was def longer than a one-hour show normally would be.

-> Chavo Guerrero and Batista both want to destroy each other, and they will get that chance in an "I Quit" Match. Not only does Batista want to demolish Chavo, but he wants his Royal Rumble Match spot, so Chavo will have it on the line.
-> Also, CM Punk has promised an announcement that could make a WWE superstar richer.
-> And Rob Van Dam will be teaming with his former tag team partners Kane and Booker T to take on The Hart Dynasty and Dolph Ziggler.

okay then. Sorry for the delay on the reply here. Been busy really.
Right then first off I dont really like the graphics. Strolling down the page the Rock graphic you used was very pixelated and this ECW one has Ryder in a weird position but hey, if the shows good who really cares
Tatsu > Ryder is fine for me. Drew Dalton appearing after the match is interesting hristian making the save is good. Tiffany and Vickie segment was fine... Knox > Hurricane again is fine for me. Danielson debuting soon is cool, I like him debuting on ECW aswell. Escobar defeating Dreamer is a bit of a surprise for me. Interseting to see him in the rumble but can't see him doing anything of note in it. Abraham Washington show certainly built up the triple threat at the rumble which was cool and well written. Interesting main event Primo? Weird ending him taking Rosa... wonder what will come of that next week on ECW.
Anyway your Rumble card looks fine as was the show but Punk as champ at this stage I dont dig. I pick Jericho or Edge to win Rumble More likely Edge.

Smackdown - January 8 Freedom Hall-KY - Louisville, KY
The pyros hit the arena as we are welcomed by Jim Ross and Matt Striker. Out comes World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, and he is carrying a briefcase along with him. He allows the crowd to boo him, and looks at them in disgust. He takes a mic. "You people... you don't understand. I have been trying to make each and every one of your self-destructive of the body lives better over the coarse of these months, but you just don't care, do you? You only care that I am the World Champion and not The Undertaker and you're just upset about it!" He looks at the briefcase, "But I got bigger business to address here tonight. A lot of WWE Superstars will be more then willing to do something to make a little extra money... so my offer to anybody on the WWE Roster who wants to make that extra money, you do one thing: Take out The Undertaker." The crowd boos as Punk opens up the briefcase revealing it to be full of money. He lays it on the mat for everybody to see, "Right here I have approximately $50,000. Any WWE superstar that wants to earn it, has to take out the Dead Man. I don't mean beat him in a match or bring him to the ground and run away... I mean put him on the shelf! The last night anybody can seize this opportunity is at the Royal Rumble." Punk smiles with satisfaction, closes the briefcase, picks it up, and begins to walk off. Paul Heyman comes out however. "CM Punk, don't think you are just going to put a bounty out on somebody tonight... You will be in action. And that will be against R-Truth and it is right now!" Truth begins his entrance throughout the crowd as we go to commercial.

They come back on, and Taker is in the ring holding Punk by the throat. Truth looks on, as Punk points to the briefcase looking at Truth. He shakes his head, and exits the ring as Punk is picked up and dropped with the chokeslam. He picks up the Briefcase and looks at it. He begins to walk off with it, but The Hardys come into the ring. They begin to double team The Dead Man, but he grabs them both by the throat. He lifts them high and drops them with the double chokeslam. He leaves the briefcase in the ring as he exits.
Commercial Break
We return from commercial, and we see Paul Heyman in his office. In come The Rotundos. Bo speaks, “Paul. I don’t think we have actually spoken to you in person. I am Bo and this is Duke.” Duke has a stupid grin on his face as Paul shakes Bo’s hand, “Ah… you are the sons of I.R.S.?” They say yes. “I paid my taxes so tell him to stop with the threats! He hits off the ropes and returns but is hit with the dropkick. Some nice spots back and forth and Croft gets to the top turnbuckle, and he hits a clothesline on Carlito. Both men make tags after a while and Morrison hits some punches to Masters. He keeps control for about 2 minutes, and hits a huge spinning kick. He then begins to go for the Moonlight Drive, but well beginning to flip, Masters drops him sitting down and applies the Masterlock. He picks him up and whips him around viciously, and in comes Croft. Carlito saves it though and takes Croft to the outside. The referee says Morrison is done.
Winners of the match: Chris Masters and Carlito (6:37) **
Post-match, Masters keeps the hold in. Down to the ring comes Charlie Haas from ECW! Masters throws Morrison through the ropes. Haas begins to strike Carlito and Masters, and then out comes his partner Shelton Benjamin. He allows Masters to get Haas from behind, and lets them lay him out. They exit the ring after, and Benjamin just shakes his head.
Commercial Break
We return with an Edge return at Royal Rumble promo. The crowd pops.
Out comes Jerishow. The crowd is roaring with boos. Jericho gets on the mic first, looking bored with the crowd, “It’s the same old thing every week from you people… we are your Unified Tag Team Champions, and when we come out here you just boo us. You don’t even listen to the words coming out of our mouths, you just boo us.” They boo even more, “You people make me sick! We come out here and perform for you and win our matches and all you do is give us no respect. You think we want to be out here right now in front of all you parasites talking about what you think? No. What we really want to talk about… is what happened on Raw this past Monday. We defeated D-Generation X and retained these Unified Tag Team Titles. And just to prove to you we are the best… one of us will walk out as the winner of the Royal Rumble Match, guaranteed.” Show takes the mic, “And if there is anybody who thinks they can step up and beat one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions,” He slaps Jericho on the back, “Take your chances, right here and right now.” Out comes The Rotundos and into the ring is Duke.
Duke Rotundo w/Bo Rotundo vs Chris Jericho w/Big Show
The bell rings and the match starts off slow. Jericho begins to work the big mans legs early on and gets him in the corner. He puts his leg on the ropes and stomps it rapidly. Jericho pulls him out to the center and tries to lift him for a suplex, but can’t pull him up. Duke lifts him up high and drops him down with a back body drop. He hits off the ropes and delivers a big splash. He attempts a pin, but Jericho kicks out. They both rise and trade some blows, and Jericho takes advantage after about a minute. He runs and attempts the Codebreaker, but Duke holds onto him and delivers a Powerbomb! Jericho rolls out of the ring from instinct as we go to commercial break.

He hits off the ropes and when he returns for the big splash, Jericho rolls out of the way. As Duke is getting to his knee, Jericho rolls him up and holds the tights and gets the 3 count.
Winner of the match: Chris Jericho (9:01) **1/2
After the match Jericho slipped out of the ring and scurried off with the tag gold as Bo talked to his brother to calm him down.
We go backstage where we have Josh Mathews, and he introduces his guest, Dolph Ziggler. He asks him what his plans are in the new year, “My plans, Josh? My plans are simple as baking a cake. I will be the Intercontinental Champion all of 2010, and even longer then that to. And at the Royal Rumble I will easily prove it when I defend my title in a 5-pack open invitational match to any former Intercontinental Champion.” He smirks, and walks off as his match is next.
Commercial Break
Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and The Hart Dynasty w/Natalya vs Rob Van Dam, Kane, and Booker T
The heels come out first on the return, and after RVD, Kane, and Booker are in the commentators highlight how all 3 of them could enter that open invitational match. The bell rings and RVD starts off with DH Smith. They go at it quite fast at first, but slow down after Smith delivers a huge big boot. Some hard offense from Smith for the next few minutes, and RVD begins to will himself on well locked in a sleeper hold. He swings a kick back twice, hitting him in the knee. He jumps and delivers a huge spin kick to the head. He rolls to his corner and tags in Booker. He gets in as Smith is rising and delivers some nice shots, and whips him to the ropes. On the comeback he hits a nicely executed kick to the chest. A pin attempt and a kick out. Booker takes his time, and when picking him up gets hit with a Spinebuster. Smith drags him to his corner and tags in Kidd. They double stomp him and Kidd goes for a pin, but Booker kicks out. Kidd takes control for about 2 minutes with lots of aerial moves, even hitting his Springboard Frontflip Neckbreaker. Booker willed himself on though, and hit him with a huge Spinebuster. Both men, dazed, got to their corner. Kidd tagged in Ziggler, as Booker tagged back in RVD. They went at it high paced, and RVD hit an arm drag, and delivered a huge split legged moonsault off the top rope. He got a 2 count however, and pulled Ziggler back up. He hit some offense for a minute but Ziggler delivered a rake to the eyes, and RVD backed away. Ziggler ran at him, but he rolled under the arm to his corner and tagged in Kane! Winners of the match: Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and The Hart Dynasty (10:24) ***
Post-match, Ziggler slips out of the ring before Kane can do anything. The big red monster is furious.

She begins to get aggressive with lots of kicks, and she mounts ontop of her for some punches. She yanks Layla up by the hair and throws her into the corner. Some more shots and Layla slaps her across the face. She begins to yell at her, and Beth doesn't take it lightly and hit her with a clothesline. She yanked Layla back up and delivered the Glam Slam to get the pin.
Winner of the match: Beth Phoenix (1:19) *
After the match, Beth rises looking down at Layla and McCool gets into the ring behind her. She turns Beth around and tries to hit her with the Women's Title, but Beth ducks it and delivers a Glam Slam to her as well. She stands up, and raises the Women's Championship.
We see Batista making his way down to the ring next.
Commercial Break

Upon our return, Batista makes his way down to the ring slowly. He is followed up by Chavo, who in honor of Eddie comes out in a low rider. He gets in the ring and the bell rings. The two stare at each other at first, then Chavo steps up to the Animal, who clotheslines him out of nowhere. Batista stomps down on him multiple times and pulls him to his feet only to toss him out of the ring. He gets out and begins to beat down on him again. He yanks Chavo up to his feet, and throws him into the barricade. Some more strikes straight to the head, and he grabs Chavo by the throat and yells at him, "You need to mind your own business!" referring to Rey and himself's feud. He runs to the steel post and throws Chavo face first into it. The referee asks Chavo if he wants to quit, but Batista doesn't let him answer and yanks Chavo back up and pushes him into the ring. He grabs a chair from under the apron and gets in. As Chavo rises, Batista swings the chair only for Chavo to duck and hit a low blow. He grabs the chair and smacks Batista in the back. He contiously does this, and then takes one last shot to the head. Chavo continues this beat down, and Batista rolls out of the ring. He begins to walk up the ramp, and Chavo follows after him. He yanks Chavo up by the neck and runs up the ramp and throws Chavo against the low rider. Some more shots. Batista backs up and comes running, but Chavo moves out of the way and The Animal hits his shoulder into the front of the car. He straightens up and Chavo comes running, and he clotheslines Batista. Like the idea of people going after Taker for Punk. Good opening contest, aftermath was fine, although it made the Hardyz look like jobbers. Glad Masters/Carlito won, especially with Masters getting the fall. Also glad Jericho won as I don't know who his opponent was. Bold statement by Ziggler, doubt he'll actually back it up. Nice six-man tag, the team on the right reminded me of 2003. Beth winning was obvious. SIck main event and ending. Good show.

Some are suggesting that WWE go back to TV-14, due to an amount of storylines they have come up with but don't fit in with the PG Rating. The WWE board will be looking into this, and if done it will be TV-14 post-WrestleMania.
It is being reported that all the matches for Royal Rumble has been announced as WWE did as they planned. To have 2 Raw matches, 2 Smackdown matches, 1 ECW match, and the Royal Rumble Match.

- Good opening promo by Punk, until he brought the bounty into it. I don't think thats in keeping with Punk's character. - Heyman as Gm is good. - Punk getting the win is great. Pushes him as champ. - Good to see Taker appear post match. The Hardys are heels I presume? Why is Jeff back? He's in the dock for drugs. - Nice segment between the Rotundo's and Heyman. - Good to see Carlito and Chris Masters pick up a win. Keep them tagging. - Confused why Haas would run out. - Edge return will be awesome. - Good that Jericho beat Rotundo. He's a much stronger performer, so it only makes sense that he won. - 5-Pack Challenge sounds great. - The faces putting over the heels is good.. RVD and Booker are back? Odd. I expect they and Kane will be in the 5-pack. - Brits feuding? Nice. - Layla is a heel isn't she? I presume she turned Face? Nice that Phoenix wins though. Aftermath is good. Phoenix is face! - Batista/Chavo feud is good, but Chavo still being beaten is bad. Expect Batista as a front runner in the Rumble now.
Good Show. Some stuff is confusing though.
