Ok, so Mattel says they'll release 1,000 die-cast belts numbered, for the first 1,000 figures of each wrestler. Well, from what we have seen from ToyFair, it looks like the belts will not be actual WWE's belts. What do you think of this? The pics have the wrestler's name engraved with the number of belt it is. I'd say it looks better to have a real belt with the name in the nameplate and the serial number next to the belt or something (not ON the belt). What do you think?

The proper WWE belts would have been a hell of a lot better, 500 could have been the WWE Title and the other 500 could have been the WHC or similar.

The point of the belt is meant to be a welcome to mattel gift, so its bascially a 'Mattel championship' and not a wwe championship.
Using actul wwe belt design would have been cool but can see why they wanted to make a belt for themselfs.

actual wwe belts would have been cool but this is kind of a promotion thing. its not really meant to last a long time so i dont mind the way it looks. it displays the message mattel wants it to and thats enough.

It's neat, but they should have shown up JAKKS and had the WWE title, since JAKKs has the old WWE, World, and ECW.
I would hope they would switch to real titles later if they want to do a 1 in 500 sort of deal later.

They are fine for what they are, it would be cool to find one. I actually hope Mattel doesn't copy Jakks belt promotion. Instead make the WWE die-cast belts available to everyone instead of just the lucky or those willing to pay a high price for them.

I don't really care for them, and think they make the figures look worse carded. But I'd like to find one.
As far as belts go, the Jakks belts should still be alright to use.

This is about celebrating mattel, giving you a little something special or unique to celebrate it which also needs special writing. And the concept of a 'custom' belt matches the product of wrestling figures. I hear people complaining about them but im sure, if anyone saw one in store, theyd snap it up and not have an issue with it. I bet international people probably dont get a go at collecting them.

It's a novelty and admittedly lame for MOC collectors, but they don't bother me because they will simply be removed once I open the figure. I wouldn't mind them if they were more properly scaled, but that plate is soooooo big.

Exactly, people need to get over the "it's not a wwe belt" argument and understand that this is something commerative. I for one like it, but I doubt we'll see them in the UK.

That would definetly put Mattel ahead of Jakks in terms of caring about the fans.

It's something different. I think everyone would prefer the actual belts, but we already have good JAKKS versions, so maybe Mattel feels there isn't an immediate need for new versions.

They should of used real wwe titles instead of these over sized made up titles that look horrible.

I'm sure Mattel will make regular belts too. I agree with some people about the whole "Mattel Welcoming", I think these belts are just to christen the new era of WWE figs.

I personally think they are pretty cool. I'd use them in my fed if it weren't for the name permanently on them haha.

Mattel is garbage, Jakks was kinda just getting better. How so They just ruined the last classic line-ups, the new figs coming out will most likely be missing detail like the last few sets They are like giving us a couple decent things than a whole lot of crap
