the way i see it, and i've been collecting figures for a long time, is it's time for a new era. i have a pretty huge collection of ra style figs that ranges from 70's superstars to the present. i have a lot of holes to fill, but they covered a lot of stars. i consider cheesy guys like rico and la rasistance to be as classic as doink and adam bomb, just different eras. so to have all those stars in the same style is awesome, but now we have a chance to build the roster of the new era with a new and improved style of figure. one thing i've always hated is rey standing nose to nose with kane and undertaker etc. so, i,m excited to have scale between the wrestlers. bravo mattel. the detail is amazing. the parts choice is pretty good so far. in stead of complaining, let's give mattel some COSTRUCTIVE critcism like "maybe the jericho torso would work better for austin in stead of that austin sucks!! looks nothing like him" and we will probably get better results. i say long live mattel (their dc line is awesome) and good riddance to jakks(except for ufc and tna). but for now, MAKE MINE MATTEL!!!!!!!!!!

Well I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I just want me JAKKs figures look OK next to the Mattel ones even if the Mattel were better. Mattel won't be making Rico, Maven, Eugene and such so I want to keep them.
I am very glad Mattel will worry about scale though. And I think more cloth shirts, and from what I can see ONLY cloth shirts and other extras from Elite along with just basic singles we won't see shelf warming shirt molds that are out of date. I am looking forward to Mattel's Cryme Tyme, Shelton, Kozlov (red? I hope), and others listed already. But really, just announce RYDER!!!

I think the Austin figure is flawless. The torso is perfect, Austin was never ripped at all. Sure he was in shape, but it's not like he was jacked or anything.

True, that was a problem with jakks pretty much every torso mold they used had a six-pack that alot dont/didn't have. And the mold they had that wasn't ripped didn't really suit many people

I agree 100%. Sure it sucks that the figures will look different, but Mattel has out done them selfs. I plan on keeping my Jakks Classic display right where it is and mostly focusing on updating my current line up. Sure I loved Jakks but, Mattel seems to be doing this line justice. And with Jakks it drives me crazy that my Evan Bourne in standing over Cena on my shelf. Plus we are finally getting new molds so not everyone will look exactly the same.
