Is there any difference between the Mattel rings and the SARs from Jakks? They look pretty damn the same to me, down to the turnbuckles and the mats.

They do look really similar yeah and tom said they are essentially “spring rings” in his article. Only difference seems to be they include launchers and a breakthrough ring mat.
