So what was the point of making two lines...one with articulation and one without decent articulation. We basically got RA and DA lines. Really Mattel? is that what you think we wanted? we wanted RA size figures with DA artiulation. You gave us the same thing Jakks gave us. Why not put it in one figure and cap it at 11.99? I imagine the less detailed line is going to be cheaper for kids. The nicer one is for collectors I don't get them complaints, really. The figures look amazing. The bodies look realistic, the scale is better, and the selection is great. Considering that within a year they'll have almost the full roster made is impressive. The only fault i see is in the detailing around the muscles... But most of that looks like effects they put on the pictures and won't look like that in the final product. Regardless, I love them and will certainly get the elite and entrance lines. I don't care for the ones that do moves, only because they all do one of three. There should be more different ones. Still doesnt answer the question. Why not save some money and time and put it all in one figure then make the price a halfway point. Just a prob i have with it. Kinda a disservice to collectors. they basically are saying well, if you cant afford nice figures then you can have the crappy ones.

Yes, but that`s still better then "too bad if you can`t afford the figures at all"

Not ALL collectors want Deluxe/Elite style or RA's & Da's both wouldn't have sold so well. I collect RA's so I will probably stick to the basic line. And no one said the basic line was going to have less quality, just less articulation. What is wrong with options? I only pose my figures then put them in a curio so articulation isn't a necessity to me. I'm sure I'm not the only one either. McFarlane & Neca both are very successful and they are not known for their articulation. But they sure look cool on a shelf!

And, given their track record with "super" atriculation, Mattel is superior to JAKKS. Of all the lines I collect and/or collected in the past (DCU, Marvel Legends, GI JOE, etc.) JAKKS has by far the worst example of extra articulation.

I am truly hoping that all the idiots that think these look bad truly do stop collecting. I don't want to see any of you scalping these figures when I am trying to find them for me. No wonder Jakks didn't listen to the collecting community, they have no idea what looks good. These are so far beyond anything Jakks has ever made that it's laughable. And those of you who are saying why not make it one line. Because not everyone wants to pay the elite prices, and many of us will be more than satisfied with the Basic line for display. I'll buy both, because that $14.99 price point is great for the amount of detail put into it. I've paid that much for much less detailed DC Direct figures and were thrilled to have them.

McFarlane & Neca both are very successful and they are not known for their articulation. But they sure look cool on a shelf! Ok, some of you are totally missing the point. Why make a product with limited articulation and one with alot of articulation. Why not combine them. Will MOC collectors care that the figs are articulated? they shouldnt. ANd the price thing...so you bump the 9.99 up a couple of bucks. At least your not paying 5 extra bucks for it. And there's nothing wrong with options, but what is the point of options? to save some money? Are they really doing that by making two lines. If one style is made is that gonna stop people from buying because its too articulated or its a couple bucks more? If they are decent figs, you'll buy them. Does it matter that Jericho has a bendy waste? To MOC collectors i would think it wouldnt...to those that pose them, I would think they wouldnt. Perhaps im wrong, but again i dont see the point of two lines when one is sufficient. I mean lets say you wanna do a figure four with Mattels basic line..well good luck with that. And again if your a MOC collectors, who cares what style its in. The only reason jakks had two lines is becasue the wised up and added some decent articulation. Had they started out with DA's people woulda been just fine with it and I bet not made a big deal out of it. Furhtermore, if Mattels goal was to keep the RA styles the same then they shoulda at least got the sizes the same too. And Mcfarlane ad Neca are more sculpts and are made for the purpose of putting on the shelf. Stick an RA figures beside a Spawn figure and You'll see the difference. But, Jakks had them too, its called Unmatched Fury. The point of RA's was to give people an action figure, which unfortunately had limited action. And I'm not sure exactly how a statement questioning the creative direction of a company translated to anything about the quality. Both lines are quality sculpted figures, just one is more functional then the other. I think alot of people are quick to defend this line becasue it somehow justifies them purchasing the product, saying anything negative about it might mean that you have to actually stop collecting, which to some would mean you'd have to find something else to do with your time/money, which safe to say could be unimaginable, lol. I mean good lord, Marvel was able to put a well sculpted, well articulated( yet horribly stiff : figure with accessories and clothes together for under 9.99, in most cases, so what the heck is wrong with mattel? Again Jakks had two lines becasue it was what they had to do. Mattel has two lines for...what again?

Dunno what to make of them really. The first Series and the Entrance Gear Series looks unreal. That King of Kings HHH and Wrestlemania 22 Rey Mysterio are awesome. The Rings look terrible though. They have a cheap look to them IMO.
