I have close to 200 different LJN custom pics saved from when I used to make them. I was always praised for most of my work because of how authentic they looked. STOMWIJF even owns some of them!

As a person who had high hopes for the Jakks Chase LJN figures but ended up very disappointed, these custom LJN's make me very happy.
I would also be interested in seeing Midnight's work. If anyone else knows where to find LJN customs, please post here or PM me.
Thank you.

That is a smooth looking figure. Definitely too glossy, but that is not a bad thing. I've never heard of the wax that you've mentioned. I think it would be great if someone posted "how to" videos of custom LJN's. I think the process would be fascinating because I can't figure out how you guys do it. Great art though.

the bushwhackers custom ljns are great, and probably close to the planned ones in 89.

I don't understand why everyone is praising these custom LJN figures from midnight so much! The paint jobs are "clean" on most of them and the ideas are great but the execution of the ideas is poor. The figures that are just repainted and the ones with just head swaps look good (except the neck areas where the heads were exchanged) but the reposed figures bodies look horrible, I just don't understand if someone is going thru all the trouble of making these figures with "authentic" poses then why just halfa@@ the body work? Why is every figure deformed (most largely) in the areas where the body part exchanges took place? Why not shave down the excess areas? Looks like they were just thrown together and then clay was built up over the sliced areas no matter how much clay it took until there was even area which throws the proportions all out of whack....I'm hoping that the wrestling attire Jesse Ventura was midnights 1st attempt at a full upper body sculpt because that thing is hideous....Plus the face painting looks kinda cartoonish because it's all 1 solid color... I do love the Blackjack Mulligan head that thing is a dead ringer..
On the other hand the Abdullah made by Rozz is a prime example of how a custom LJN should be made, All the body parts are proportioned to abdullah scale and even and his face painting shows detail the way it should......
Overall: If ljn or jakks would release a figure identical to midnights then every person here would be pissing & moaning about how disproportioned/deformed the body parts are but since it's not made by ljn or jakks everyone is praising them to the 9th power. No hate against midnight personally atleast he gave a good effort in attempting to make people we never seen in LJN form but the final product is not what everyone is making it out to be here.........
If someone wants a quality LJN custom then you need to get in touch with Rozz, that is what a ljn custom should look like just compare the work.......

The ones pictured are not Midnite's. They are from another customizer. I disagree with you that the figures are out of proportion. Where? The Genius? Nope. The Savage? Nope. None of them are out of proportion and nowhere near what you say they are. The Ventura? Compared to the reference picture that is next to the figure on the Myspace page, looks pretty accurate. The Billy Graham in the pink suit is exceptional too. As for the ROZZ Abdullah, it's an exceptional figure as well, but there is no differential in color in his face. Those are shadows in the mouth lines. That face is all one color as well. Personal preferences between us I guess. We can agree to disagree. On the myspace page, it says there are 2 variations of the Ventura one. I think the short haired version looks more like the reference picture as far as hair, but the first version looks more like the face. The page says 2 people ordered it differently.

I agree. Those customs by Midnight look great. Batista's face is a dead ringer! I love the silver/black face paint on Ax from Demolition. That face paint looks much better than what LJN released. I also like the ECW era Terry Funk. The Missing Link looks really cool as well. Great idea by Midnight to use a Billy Jack Haynes LJN to make the Link.
