I need your advice guys. What I was thinking of doing is a combination of a text fed/pic fed/roleplaying fed. I was gonna have shows and PPVs, design graphics through photoshop using actors/wrestlers to represent each wrestler. I would also use lower name wrestlers like Kenny Dykstra or Snitsky....guys who dont work WWE.
Each show would be written out like a script basically. Each show would have graphics to show matchups, hype ppvs, things like that.....but not actually have wrestling figures doing the posing.
People would sign up for this fed like UGW and could PM me an application that would have their vital stats and a pic of who they want to represent their created character. Like in UGW we have Colt Jagger, Uncle Bingo, J-Dash, O'Deeves, etc.
Writing promos, or roleplaying would be optional. If you chose to do it, you would receive a better push. The more active you are in the fed, the bigger and better the storylines you would get. The lesser active you are.....more jobber status you would have.
So I just wanted to kind of garner an idea of interest. A buddy of mine and I are thinking of running it together. We have significant experience in writing shows, developing stories and booking matches. What do you guys think?

If its not actually featuring figures in pictures, it doesn't belong here. Maybe Text Fed? However the idea sounds pretty good, and I would be up for participating.

i might do it, but i need to think of my finisher and sig. moves. I could use Johny Nitro or John Morrison as my character, I could be 6'8'' (I'm tall...) and maybe 280 pounds. I hail from New Haven, Connecticut (not my real town, but I am around there (just for safety reasons)). *update* finishers: - TKO
- RKO (for bigger people I can't pick up...)
signature moves: - 5-Star Frog Splash
- german suplex
- big boot
- sidewalk slam
- and a bunch of other moves similar to Randy Orton

Sounds a bit like an E-Fed or whatever "Fantasywrestling" is called in english. I participated in an E-Fed for about 5 years, very successful. But at some point I lost ideas for my character and just burnt out. I mean, against strong opponents who were good at writing too, I spent up to 5 hours daily (with some breaks) for my next posting. I really liked the time, but no more for me, thanks. But it definitely sounds like an interesting idea.

Well thats my opinion. I don't think it goes here, ask DJ or Easy. They'll tell you if it does. :/

Yes, I believe this falls more along the lines of an E-fed since it roleplaying and text fed since it'll be alot of explaining of the matches. While your argument towards "pic" fedding not necessarily being about the figures holds some merit, traditionally, it always has been about the figures. Furhtermore, under the main title it has: Show off and discuss the latest happenings of your PICTURE Figure Federations! . So that's the premise you're working with. I'm not sure how well it would be received here given that, however, i think you could certainly "recruit" a lot of individuals from here that would support it in the E-fed board Good Luck with this.

You cannot start another fed in the roleplaying board. There is only 1 fed there and its the only one allowed. I am not looking to have anyone roleplay, but people can feel free to cut promos like UGW had going for awhile between O'Deeves and I. Perhaps the text board makes more sense. Do the people here also visit the text board?

It's a nice idea, but as said previously, this would be more suited in the Text Fed area. If it won't feature Wrestling Figures posing then it doesn't belong on this board. I get what you mean, but not here. I'm sure there is plenty of people from here that read the Text Fed boards. Not that I am one of them, but I'll bet there are a few. Best of luck with this anyway.
