Girlfriend's family are all Benfica fans, so won't hear the last of this... can only hope we turn it around at Estádio da Luz but seems unlikely with the crop of crap that was on that pitch tonight. It was hard to tell if Benfica were good or if Spurs were awful... Come on man...

Quality effort by us tonight. Shame we couldn't win on the night to break their streak, but fair play. Wish Chadli could have finished like that on Sunday.

I never thought about it until now, but you're right. Chelsea/Madrid has rarely happened, it'd be good to see it for once.
I think my ideal CL QF draw would be:
Chelsea v Real Madrid Manchester United v Dortmund Atletico Madrid v PSG Barcelona v Bayern Munich

Was hoping for an away day in Madrid or Dortmund, been to PSG so probably wont bother. PSG is a winnable Game though over 2 Legs. Fancy Atletico to do Barca though, especially with the second leg at the Calderon.

Barca luck prevails again.... An enthralling and entertaining game for the majority of it ruined by some refereeing idiocy. Still, Real (and more importantly Atletico) are still ahead in the league with Barca having a much difficult run in.
A damn shame Di Maria was on the losing side, by far the best player on that pitch tonight.

Di Maria was unreal. The fact they spent 92mil on Bale and he still makes the starting 11 says a lot about his ability despite a lot of peoples opinions on him.
Fantastic game ruined by the ref imo. Should have been 1 penalty and it wasn't any of the 3 given. Bale missing in the big games again though. Messi and Ronaldo barely impacted either yet still game of the year.

Barca have been banned from making signings in the next two transfer windows due to signing underage overseas players. Not good for them. They really need a couple of new centre backs and a goalkeeper to replace Valdes.

About time they got shafted on something, if the Neymar deal wasn't proof they are a dodgy club this will prove it.
Jose Pinto as #1 next season, pahahaha.

Thinking about it, it will probably get overturned like Chelsea's did a few seasons ago. Fifa have no balls.

Wasn't the Chelsea one down to the signing of Gael Kakuta?

Another one of those nights at the Bridge! How many times are Chelsea going to put me through that.

Yeah, Barca will get off with a nothing fine for them and maybe banned for the coming winter window that Spanish clubs barely use anyway.
And Chelsea, Real Madrid only clubs through to the semi's so far... are we finally gonna get the match?
