Atletico just aren't good enough.....yet. Good enough not to be losing 3-0 to Osasuna at half time. This is purely down to Barcaluck, just like next week when Atletico beat Real in the Madrid derby and Barca win 10-0 to go back to the top of the league....

So by luck you just mean Barca being the better team and the other teams not being able to take advantage when they slip up?

I just wonder how Man City are going to fare at the Nou Camp. There's no reason they can't go there and win 3-1.

As long as a Madrid club win La Liga I'm happy. Would rather Atleti as a you to the outrageous big 2 system in LL though. I genuinely believe last season's Bayern would beat 2011 Barca if they played, although it would obviously be tight. The Barca that lost to Bayern were worse than 2011 but not by 7 goals. Barca 2011 are a more 'pure' footballing side but Bayern 2013 are more well-rounded and have less weaknesses, and are more able to exploit Barca's obvious ones (lack of height, inability to deal with set pieces and defensive mistakes). Them, Real 2012 and United 2008 (I'd even say Chelsea 2008 are up there but they were unlucky that they came up against the slightly better Utd 2008 in their major competitions) make probably the highest number of 'great' teams to ever come in a 5 year period. Fantastic time to be a football fan.

Outrageous display by Real tonight. They could quite easily win the tournament.

My housemates wanted to watch Chelsea, but I said its my tv and we're watching Real. I think I made the right choice.

Genius by Ancelotti to move di Maria into a 3 man midfield. Working out so well. Hopefully this is their year. Seem to have actually improved since Jose left.
Stunning goal from Huntelaar though. Love him. Save from Casillas as well. Time he was made first choice again. Would kill me to see him playing for another club.

Real best team in the world right now. Just unreal tonight. It will definitely be between them and Bayern this year, no doubt. Ancelotti is working wonders with the three man midfield, and Modric is pulling all the strings. He must be the most underrated player in Europe this year. I'll probably lean towards Madrid winning it, they have too much fire power, I really wouldn't put it past them doing the Treble this year. As for the little Bayern '13 vs Barca '11 debate, I'm not so sure. I think Barca were also a well rounded unit back then, especially as their back four of Alves, Pique, Puyol and Abidal were at their athletic peaks. It's easy to forget as they let in so many goals these days, and Puyol and Pique have seen their best days. The difference would come down to Lionel Messi. Tell you what though, when Bayern add Lewandowski next Season, that will be frightening. Anyway, wished I had the Real Madrid game on now after seeing a few of those goals. We were poor, frustrates me that Jose is happy to take a 1-1 into the second leg. Yeah it's 'The Gates of Hell' and all that, but in all honesty it's nothing like the Al Sami Yen was back in the day, we should be beating that lot by 2 or 3-0.

Real best team in the world right now. Just unreal tonight. Still Bayern, no matter how much you lot bum off Madrid ; ) Bayern come very close. The only team that come close. But on this form, in the past 2 months, I can't look past Real. Their front 4 is far and away the best in the world. Even when Bayern get Lewandowski Real's will be a bit better.

There's a few teams that have a better starting XI on paper but in terms of actually being a team, Bayern are hands down the best. Real have been on a good run of form but that doesn't make a great team. If they win some trophies, then yeah I'll say they're the best.

Lewandowski or not, absolutely no team comes close to the front 3 Madrid have.
Also agree on Modric. Took him a while to settle but he's been unreal under Ancelotti in the slightly deeper role.
