the point of the competitions isn't to make stuff that sells on ebay, if it was my buddy skribble would be the champion. the point is to do something different, something that showcases your talent, pushes the limits of your abilities. it's a chance to make a show piece, to try new things or think outside of the box. if you want to whore stuff for ebay, do it, we all have including me. but that stuff really doesn't belong in a showcase. if you don't want to do your own skintones...don't. just try to find parts that match up better. i think you're missing the big picture, it seems that the main issue seems to be the innacuracy of the figure, not just the mismatched tones. i looked for some ref shots but i couldn't find the right ones, so i can't say myself if it is accurate or not. take critisizm in stride, thats how you improve. But if insulting our work makes you feel better, knock yourself out. It doesn't hurt my feelings. Can you not read ? The skin tones match up just fine, but the flash makes the painted neck seem a different color than the non-painted plastic arms. As for ebay, i was using that as a scale i don't whore anything on ebay - I only make figure for my own collection. As as for innacuracy, people saying that are just flat out idiots - I mean they knock it for not having braids when it clearly has the DA Booker T braided hair. They knock it for not being denim, something I wasn't going for (look at the BCA figure). They knock it for being too cartooney when in fact it's the face that Crush made alot during that time period (a snarl). As for not sculpting anything, well I did - the goatee is sculpted. As for your figure, don't get me started - all you did was cut long hair off a Strongbow and then proceed to put on a crappy skin tone. Like i said bro, make fun, talk ****, i don't care. i never said a word about your work myself, only referenced earlier opinions. My work isn't what has been put down or critisized by the judges. I'm offering you advice on getting better reactions, your childishly insulting peoples work. By doing that, you only belittle yourself in the eyes of your peers. Why bother?

He wore denim not a blue vest and blue pants. Your figure and the BCA figure are not accurate. I told you, you achieved what you set out to do. Unfortunately for you, what you set out to do was replicate a crappy figure. Congradulations, you successfully cloned a turd. The unfortunate thing about that is, whether it's a BCA turd or an RA turd, the fact remains that it is still a turd. Bio's figure is superior. Stop whining. They're just toys, jeez. This whole thing is very childish.

First chance I've had to sit at the computer since it was posted.
Great job to everybody who competed, Import and I are on for the next month's competition instead of this one. Neither of us had the parts or time to finish what we set out.
I'd have to say my favorites of this show are Sandy and Whydrafts's Muta's, Deen's Scorpion, and Jay and Famous J's Flairs. When I get some more time I'll try to post more detailed reviews.
Great job everybody!

so whats my record now ?? That I FINALLY won one match .... any one remember ?? I think Im 1-5 now lol you havent won your match yet.... The only reason i'm complaining is I think this board, and the people who post here, need to get their heads ouf of their butts and realize that only 1% of people like the pasty white skin tones, and just because my figure comes off clean looking because no skin tone doesn't mean it's not good - and far superior to people who do crappy skintones. And competing, I think i'm done after this unless a real set of judges who arn't biased to anything not sculpted or custom skin toned can be brough in. Just check ebay and see what sells well and what doesn't. Obviously there are judges who look past the fact that there is no skintone or Gate would not have won all of his matches. His customs pull off wins easily and most of them do not have skintones....

Wow, everything looks great. Tough to call most matches too.
Superwarrior vs Mrsaveus WINNER: Mrsaveus. Ortiz is so smooth, everything just looks fantastic. Delirious looks good also, but, he looks far too big to be Delirious, a cw torso and some smaller arms may have been enough to flip my vote.
Nova vs Nick Maniwa WINNER: Nick Maniwa. Both customs look great, but, Booker's sculpting looks a little rough in some places.
Biohazard vs Classic Collector WINNER: Biohazard. Again, two terrific customs, I almost went with the Crush. But, his head looks a little awkward to me, and the Golga definitely got some originality points since I don't remember if I've ever(or atleast, not in a long time) seen a Golga custom! Really good stuff from both of you though.
Titantrap vs NYDream989 WINNER: NYDream. Both figures look good. And, I like Titantrap head choice better, as I don't see much resemblance to Will Ferrell there. But, I think the sculpting came out very nicely, and everything on the figure looks very smooth. It was close though.
Deen vs WhyDraft2 WINNER: WhyDraft2. This one was nearly impossible to choose. Really, I'm still a little unsure. I just find myself being absolutely amazed by the sculpting and painting on the Muta. The Scorpian is great too, pretty flawless actually, but, the Muta just takes the cake here.
Sandman vs Gatecitysinner WINNER: Gatecitysinner. Both look great, the way the paint looks and everything just looks a little nice on GCS' Muta. And, the cloth is an excellent add-on.
Jay vs Famousj WINNER: Jay. There was actually one deciding factor here. The hair. While both customs are nothing short of amazing, the hair on Jay's Flair looks phoenominal. As well as the sculpting and painting being extremely smooth all around.
Gore vs Gatecitysinner WINNER: Gore. Wow, GCS pulled off two great customs here! However, GCS' Jarrett looks odd in the torso area. I can't put my finger on it, it's a great figure, just I donno, a little off. Gore's Jarrett looks great. The part choices are fantastic. Painting is flawless. And, the guitar looks great too. I will add, I like the era GCS chose to do, and it was a close match.

Sorry for complaining guys, honestly it wasn't my intentions. I just don't like when people attack things when they don't know what they are talking about. This is the last i'll speak on this and i'll address everything. First off the skin tone, yes some Chavo heads are tanned - but the Chavo head I used isn't, it's jakks plain white skin tone. The chest used is a RA Sandman chest so you know thats plain white skintone. Here is a picture to prove my point on the skin tone. Braids, yes the hair is braided in dreadlock fashion - it's DA Booker T hair. The MMA glove, it was a tough call because he used a padded glove - but obviously not as padded as the MMA glove. As for the color not being denim, that is correct. I wasn't going for that look, if i was it would have been pretty simple as i've done it before. Clerance Mason petitioned the WWF to let Crush back into the federation after his "prison" stay. When he came back he was wearing the color blue that I used, it was a prison jumpsuit blue look, not denim. He wore this look, but eventually changed to the dark denim look before going with all black gear when joining the DOA. I couldn't find any good reference pictures here, but if you are familiar with the BCA line you know that the first few sets were pretty much dead on accurate as far as attire wise, it wasn't until the Attitude Era was in full effect that they started getting cheap and reusing parts and messing up colors. The reference picture were shown to show a close up of the hair and goatee as that was the only thing I changed from the BCA figure. Him looking cartooney, hey thats what I was going for. Thats the face he was making back then during most of his interviews. I went to great lenghts to find a perfect facial feature that match this. Not molding anything, if you have seen a Chavo head before you know the goatee is complete molded.

Congrats to Dream, i'm truly glad my title run has come to an end. I'm glad that the title is going to someone who has improved so much over the past year. You've worked hard to get to this point so enjoy it. I had a great run and I had a lot of fun being champ. So Dream, the record to beat is one year, three months and 13 days. Maybe you can get a Titan-o-meter like Santino's Honk-a-meter...

NYDream asked me to vote on the matches that have yet to be decided. I dont have a whole lot of time, so I'll put in my two cents on the decided matches at a later time.
1st match, MrSaveus put out a very nice Tito Otriz custom here. Now my feelings on Tito aside, I like this custom. I think, while its not great, the head does it's job. It captures Tito's look slightly although its probably not the best choice. I like what was done with the shorts. The Cut and Paste method serves it's purpose here and with the RA lower legs, I think it works. Parts seem to be chosen wisely. The cruiser is good for the just over 200 pound Tito. The logos are pretty decent... not perfect, but they are clean enough. This figure kind of reminds me of the one M2K made. Its not of the same caliber, but solid nevertheless.
Superwarrior's Delirious again is a solid figure with some error. While I like the facial expression on the head for Delirious, the size and positioning on the neck kind of spoils the look for me. It's rather awkward. I like the use of the mask tassels. Nice touch there and a little attention to detail. They could be thicker, but they do the trick. The pants look a little rushed as far as the designs, but like mrsaveus' theyre not too bad. The thing that pulls this custom down to me is the part choices. The torso is too bulky for him, the arms are too big and the pants are a little on the tall side. I like the lankiness of the pants, but I think the Rey mold may have worked better.
I gotta go with Mrsaveus and his Tito Ortiz in this one.
2nd match Nova's old school Booker T is pretty good, although I feel like I've seen the same thing (or better in some cases) a dozen times. With something like this I think you have to raise the bar since similar has been done so many times. The gear you chose is an interesting choice. I would imagine you had a hard time finding reference pictures, so kudos for that. I wish oyu would have used the DA head rather than the ugly RA one, but the hairsculpt is nice. Im not a fan of the torso for this stage in his career, its just a little too bulky for my liking. Sculpting on the torso looks okay... Maybe be a little lumpy, but its hard to tell. My major gripe with this figure is the paintjob. It just doesnt have a smooth look. Both the skintone and the gear has a amateur feel to them in terms of paint quality. Keep working with your paints and oyu can only improve. Also, I think what hurts this a lot is the lack of detailed and different pictures. HAd you provided more photos we might have seen more favorable angles and areas on your figure.
Nick Maniwa I think surprised a lot of people with his Reckless Youth. Now a lot of people dont remember who Reckless is, but I have been following wrestling for some years and do remember him as one of the elite indy guys in his day. I think this figure represents Youth pretty well. I like the Conway head choice and the hairsculpt matches his weird curly hair pretty well from what I recall and the references provided. The shirt is fair enough. Lettering could definitely use some work, but like the Tito Ortiz I can understand how writing in that scale can be difficult, especially for a cruiserweight. I like what oyu did with the shorts, nice paintwork there. The eyes and paintjob on the head is a little wacky, but I like that you went to the extra trouble of trying to get it to look more ethnic like Reckless rather than leaving it as Conway with a curly hair.
I think the writing on both of these customs is similar, while both could use some work, neither are terrible. I give the slight edge to Nick Maniwa.

3rd match Biohazard's Golga is very nice. I recall gatecitysinner making a golga, but other than that, I cant recall seeing a custom of this character. The pact that you did it in Hasbro scale is fantastic. This figure (like Sandman's Muta) Has a rustic look. It's definitely not the most polished thing, but the detail with the sculpting on the shirt, mask and pants is fantastic. I think you achieved Golga's look very nicely. The shirt looks dirty and the pants are similar, something that I do remember about Golga. Another impressive feature is the shirt logo. With the slightly smaller Hasbros that must have been a pain, but you pulled it off. One thing I notice here is the skintone. While Im not always a fan of unnecessary skintone, I think the fact that oyu have him a pasty skintone is awesome. Kudos for that. Very nice figure here. One thing I would say is similar to what I said with Nova, more pictures, better pictures, more angles.
ClassicCollector's Crush This is a pretty good figure here. Its nice and clean. Has a look that I appreciate in a custom and thats the fact that it looks Jakks-produced. From what I have seen of ClassicCollector, he seems to keep his collection as mass-produced looking as possible. I can appreciate that since that usually how I model my customs. The Chavo head Im a bit iffy on. While I see similarity with Crush, Im not sure it does the trick for me. Booker hairpiece, sculpted goatee and tattoo on the head are very nice though. The parts are definitely chosen well. The paintjob, now I noticed has caused somewhat of a commotion, but I personally dont care for the shade of blue used. I feel it should deifnitely be darker even if it is not supposed to be demin. Kane boots are nice for him, but the knee joint looks slightly awkward. I would have liked to see some sculpted tranisiton between the jeans and boots. Also, the belt cuckle for whatever reason wasnt painted... I would paint it up regardless of what was accurate probably just because the blue belt buckle looks strange.
I give the edge to Biohazard in this match. A very nice custom.
Finally... Deens Scorpion. Wow... What a fantastic custom here. I originally thought this was one of those MArvel figures until I looked more closely and recognized the DA parts. If that isnt a coimpliment I dont know what is. Great sculpting work here and the attention to detail is fantastic. Brilliant details on the arms, the mask and the chest piece. Theres really not much more I can say. Its a near perfect custom. The paintjob is great. I love the metallic used and the shading on the legs is a nice touch to such a realistic looking figure.
WhyDraft2's Muta is another great figure. It looks like it fits more into the GateCitySinner vs. Sandman match than anything. A very solid piece. I love the fact that it is in Hasbro scale. Thats a very nice touch. Much like Deen's figure this custom is what I would consider near-perfect. The sculpting on it and the attention to detail in the paintjob leaves me without a single flaw to mention.
I think this match is really a matter of preference. There are definitely reasons to vote for both, but since I can only go one way I gotta go with Deen. His Scorpion figure is amazing and in my opinion one of the very best on this stacked card. Great work fellas, I just think Deen's figure is slightly superior.

I'd like to congratulate the new customizing World Champion. You've come a long way, and I wish you the best.
I'd also like to announce that I am taking a hiatus from active competition. I'll still be making figures from time to time. I actually have a couple side projects I'm working on with a couple mainstream wrestlers that will be taking up most of my time. I'm going to be launching a website before long with all of my previous work, and lots of cool stuff. I'll keep everyone updated on that front.

Win or lose, I've just kind of faced everyone I want to face at this point I think. Even with facing Trent, that's happened before. But believe me, I have plans. I have ideas to forward to the person running these things. I think there needs to be a "redrafting" of sorts. There are people who should be in different divisions than they are in. I see a fresh start in the future.

Well I guess I'll say congraduations to Bio for his win, I don't agree with the decision but none the less he's won fair & square and i'll accept that. As per statement I made with Dream through IM, if I lost to Bio i'd quit doing these custom competions. Good luck to everyone who does compete.

Deen should advance to the HW division.
Titantrap HOPEFULLY doesn't retire and moves up to the IC division.
but I hope deen does stay in the IC division. Because it is stacked right now. Deen, myself, whydraft, Gonzo, Texacide, M2K, Titantrap(hopefully), Bartman(maybe), PTTG(maybe) etc.
I would love to face deen in a rematch and whydraft in a hasbro battle..
I am hoping Irishrebel joins the competitions as he would be a nice addition to the HW division. Which is looking pretty weak right now(not as in the talent in it but how very few people are in the division)...Jay, FamousJ, Gate, and maybe Rozz(I don't know if he is still customizing)?

Match 1
Saveus - You've come a long way in the last year, you really have. The logos on this figure are well done and look about as good as I think I would have done. The head choice works quite well, I would have liked to see the forehead and hair slightly sculpted, but still ok. The parts choice is perfect, you're showing vast improvement with every figure you put out. Great job.
MWL - Great parts choice on this one. The painting looks well done and the addition of the tassles looks great. The head on this one just looks odd to me. It's tiny on the body. I don't know if the dude is actually like that, or if it's just the head you used. I would have also liked to have seen maybe a cruiser torso on this one instead of the ripped one.
My vote goes to Saveus, I think overall his figure looked cleaner and more well rounded. Great job to both of you.
IC Match
Deen - What can I say? You've completely outdone yourself and most on this board. The sculpting is immaculate. Painting is immaculate. When I look at this I really feel like I'm about to play MK. Fantastic job.
Whydraft - You have also outdone yourself on this one. Sculpting looks immaculate. The painting however, I see some chunkiness in places(at least it appears so). The Greg Valentine head worked quite well for Muta, he has that weird wide face. Fantastic job as well.
My vote on this one goes to Deen, I can't find a single complaint on this figure. Well done to both of you.
Again, great job to everybody who participated. Everybody stepped up on this one and impressed me.
Bio, you really down played yourself, your figure came out great.
Dream, congrats on winning the title, finally, haha. I hope you can keep it.
Titan, I hope to see you stay in the competitions and move up to the IC division.
Sandy, congrats on destroying Gate in your match. I knew you could do it.
Jay, Famous J, both of you had top notch figures, I hope to see yall face off for the title soon. Great job on all three matches in your competition.
Congrats once again to everybody that competed.
