Mr. Saveus vs. MWL- Damn this is a close one. Each custom is pretty clean. Saveus really stepped it up and put out a custom with very clean logos and a head that works quite well for Tito Ortiz. MWL provided a very nice custom of a guy I have never heard of. But everything looks nice. The head looks a little too small for the body for some reason but other than that it looks good.
Nick Maniwa vs. Nova- Novas Booker T looks pretty good. I like it. Nick Maniwas Reckless Youth looks nice but the eyes are kind of bugging me out. I like the addition of the crown. I got to give it to Nova though because it looks like a lot more work went into this one and the execution was pretty well done..
Biohazard vs. ClassicCollector- You were a bit hard on yourself Bio. I actually like the Golga a lot. I don't remember him looking that dirty though. The shirt looks a bit too dirty. It looks like you did a wash on the pants and it really helped make the detail standout. I'm not crazy about the skintone though. Classic this is a very clean custom but the fact that the skintone is different on the neck and the head really bugs me. I know you probably hate doing skintones but I think just painting the neck on this one would really helped it out. I also don't remember Crush wearing boots like that but I could be wrong. The hair looks too normal, if I remember correctly he had his hair braided or some sh** when he had the biker gimmick. The Tattoo looks nice. I give this one to Bio.
Nydream vs. Titantrap- dream you came out with a very clean looking custom with a lot of detail that would go without notice if you didn't post the protos. I like the work that went into this one. The head shows some resemblance but is still too pretty boy looking to be Will Ferrell. Titantrap I thought you had a nice custom..but now that I saw the ref pics I think it is amazing. It looks like a damn real scan head of the guy. Very nice. Adding the accessories really set it off.
Deen vs. whydraft- Very close one. Probably the second closest match on the card right behind Jay vs. Famousj. Deen the Scorpion looks amazing. Just looking at the proto shots makes me admire how much detail you put into this custom. It is unbelievable. Whydraft I truly admire how much detail you put into your Muta...and on top of that IT IS A F***ING HASBRO. That must have been hard. The dragon on it is my favorite part. I don't know if it is just the pictures or what but the pants look a little rough. I love the mask too. amazing job. A very hard match to call but I would give it to deen.
Jay vs. FamousJ- Honestly both guys should be applauded for just entertaining us throughout all three rounds with some of the best customs to hit the board in years. The Randy the Ram round went to Jay IMO..the Macho Man round was so damn close and I keep going back and forth on it. This one is another one where I am going back and forth. FamousJ you once again provided a factory paintjob. I actually like how the blood is very subtle throughout the body especially the chest area. The head looks great but I feel like there should have been more blood on his forehead so it doesn't blend in as much as it does on the body since the forehead would still be an open wound gushing out blood. Fantastic custom though. Jay, it just looks phenomenal. The hair is perfect and has that perfect Flair look. I also took notice to how you made the blood flow down his face..especially around the cheekbones. Amazing. I think the chest probably has a little too much blood...but everything else is perfect. Great custom from head to toe.
Gore vs. Gate- I think this is a great custom, Gore. It has a bit too much sealer but I think you really captured Jarretts head. The volume in the hair is nice and very realistic. What torso is that? It looks great. The attire is one of the attires I hate from Jarrett but I won't be biased because of that. You painted it very well but the two J's on the front crotch could use some work as one has some angles and the other seems to have a more round shape to it. Kneepads look good and the boots look good too. You could probably clean up the silver lines on them but everything else looks great. I wish you didn't use so much sealer though because that one factor really distracts from all the detail in this one. Gate I knew you would make this one. You are probably the king of making wrestlers that everyone has made 1,000 times but you go a different route with the wrestler by customizing them in an attire that has never been done before. This is my personal favorite of Jarretts attires. The skintone looks great and really captures Jeffs look before he turned to his "slapnutz" gimmick. The hands were a great addition and just set it off. The attire is so damn clean. Great lines and very symmetrical. The head I hate though. I honestly feel like it looks like HHH. But I do like the hair. Great job from both. I have to give it to Gate though. Good job though Gore.

Yea, I'm not sure what the deal is with the sealer. It's the same stuff I always use. I just got a new camera which might have something to do with it. Who knows. Not much I can do about it now.

yeah that one thing I am willing to bet is going to be something that a lot of people who view it will be like wow that has a lot of sealer and just ignore all the detail in your custom. Because I did that, but when I looked at all the pictures I saw all the work that went into it. Very solid custom..

I just used the same sealer on a hero I'm working on, and it isn't nearly that glossy. I used a metallic-like paint in my skintone mix to try to give it a more realistic feel, and I think it just accents the overall skintone. The hair and attire aren't overly glossy. The main thing I need to do is stop starting my figures 3 days before the deadline. I've done that the last few times. Who knows, this might be my last match anyways.

depending on how long and how many of the judges come and vote it is either three or 4 votes for the win. depending on if I can get 5 or 7 judges to judge it.... So far since CMAtarizzo atleast posted his reasoning his votes will stand. and Foxeth was the first judge to judge on the card. Im hoping the other judges will get the time to judge today or tomorrow. We will see!

Superwarrior v. MrSaveus
Superwarrior- everything looks pretty nice and clean. It's a good playable custom. That being said, it could defintely use some more modding on the torso to make it more realistic. It is good for what it is though. Everything seems to be painted well.
MrSaveus- Again, good for what it is. It could also use a little modding, but that torso works pretty well for Tito as is. I can see the resemblance in the face, but the saw line and brow could use some modding. For as tough as lettering is, I think you did pretty well, but I would havel iekd to see more detail in the flames.
My pick goes to Superwarrior. It was extremely close. Honestly, I flipped a coin. That's how close it was. A literal toss-up.
Nick Maniwa v. Nova
Nick Maniwa- The heads both look good and I really dig the idea of using two different ones to reflect his different looks. The painting is good all around especially on the jeans. Denim is a tough color/texture to recreat, but you did it well and made it look realistically faded. He does look a little walleyed, but you said you fixed that so no biggie.
Nova- Overall, I really like the custom. I think the flames look awesome, but I don't think they are really accurate to the attire. Also, he is missing his arm things (I don't know what to call 'em. Sleeves maybe). There are a few places of rough sculpting like on the singlet straps, but they are minor for the most part. I believe the torso is too bulky for Booker T. The head looks good and i really liek the hair sculpt. My only complaint there is that you should have painted the mouth a different color and maybe the lips as well.
I'm going to have to go with Nick Maniwa on this one.
Biohazard v. Classiccollector
Biohazard- I really like it. You really captured, the dirtiness of the character with this figure. The shirt is painted wonderfully and the wash on the pants helps bring out the detail in the wrinkles well. The only thing I see that really bugs me is the eyes and mouth. It seems like they could have been done more cleanly. Other than that, great job.
Classiccollector- Very clean custom, but i know you could have pulled it off better. The head works to an extent, but seems like almost a characature of Crush. The one thing that really brings the custom down is the attire. The plain blue, while it is cleanly painted, just does not work for capturing the effect of denim. On a custom where denim is a big portion of the figure, this really brings down the figures overall quality.
I'm going to go with Biohazard on this.
Titantrap v. NYdream
Titantrap- Wow, you really nailed the likeness. I'm not a fan of the show, but what a great figure. My only complaint is the hair could be a little darker and maybe have some grey drybrushed throughout it. Overall, great!
NYdream- You just keep getting better and better! I can see the likeness in the head, but it is not as striking as Titantrap's. I would havel iekd to see a little more detail in the attire, but it works overall. Good detail with the skates!
This is a very, very tough call, but I will have to go with Titantrap just by a hair. While it's fairly simple, the head is so spot on, it really makes the figure.
Deen v. Whydraft2
Deen- Holy crap! What a beautiful figure. The sculpting is phenominal and you maintained the articulation. Good call using the rubber bands to. Way to work smarter not harder. The detail throughout is just amazing. I'm a huge Mortal Kombat fan, and this, I believe, tops any of the MK figures out there.
Whydraft2- Wow, great sculpting and painting. the wrinkles look natural, and the detail you captured in the mask and the dragon are just phenominal. The removable mask is a great touch as well.
Wow, good thing I have my coin handy. Another toss-up. Deen wins. Both customs are pretty much flawless. Great job to both of you.
Sandman v. GCS
Sandy- WOW! I remember when you showed me the work in progress pictures, I just hoped the paintjob would be as a good as the sculpting, and boy did you ever come through. The sculpting is great. The dragon and the mask are both awesome. The mask is a little big, but the fact that it is removable makes up for that. Great realism. I absolutely love it.
GCS- Another custom that represents what we have all come to know from GCS: A beautifully smoothly painted figure that still retains the looks of a Jakks figure. I know doing a lot of sculpting is really not your thing, but i think you did well. I commend you for stepping out of your comfort zone and giving it a shot. The dragon looks wonderful, but the mask is really the downfall of the figure. You got the basic idea right, but it just lacks the details it needs to really capture the look. The clothes could be baggier as well, but that is minor.
Sandman wins this one. Way to step up, buddy. GCS, you had a good showing, but Sandy was better today. I hope you are man enough to admit that.
Jay v. Famousj
Jay- What an absolutely beautiful figure. The hair sculpt is phenominal and really captures the sweaty, blood, drenched look. The modding on the torso is great. Only thing is, the pecs seem a little too bulky. I think they should be a little flatter to emphasize the sagging. This seems to be a younger Flair though, so it's not a huge deal.
Famousj- Exactly what we have come to expect from you. Amazing, amazing figure. The hair is great and captures the slicked back thinning hair of an older Ric Flair. The torso modding is great for older flair to with the sagging man boobs and tiny nipples. Great attention to detail on that! The red highlights on the skin and the thumbtacks are sweet and I think you better captured his disproportionately skinny arms. only complain, and this goes for both you and Jay is that I think the quads are too big. Other than that, flawless.
I'm going to have to go with Famousj by the slightest of margins. It looks like he took Ric Flair and shrunk him down and articulated him. Amazing work by both guys.
Overall I think this is probably the best competition I have seen so far. The amount of great customs is just mind blowing. Everyone is stepping up their game, and it is awesome to see. Keep up the good work everything, and keep working hard to improve. Congrats to everyone involved.

Take a look at the other pics, look at the BCA figure of Crush - thats what I went off of, I tried to match that aside from I perfered the goatee instead of beard. Wasn't trying to match denim, I choose the Chavo head to match the same "snarl" look as the BCA figure - so if it's a "characature" blaim the BCA figure. The hair looks too normal, if I remember correctly he had his hair braided or some sh** when he had the biker gimmick. The Tattoo looks nice. I give this one to Bio. Should have known you'd vote against me, so no suprise there lol. As for the skintone not matching, it does match. It the Sandman torso with the normal white skintoned Chavo head (And if you don't believe me compair the head to the arms, same color, now look at any RA Sandman figure=same color). But because the neck is painted by Jakks and the head being plastic, not painted it comes out looking a little different with the flashl As for the hair not looking braided, well it's the DA Booker T hair which is braided lol. Those are the closest thing boot wise that he wore, look at the BCA compairison, I went off that with all aspects of the figure aside from the facial hair. And I wasn't going off his "biker" gimmic, it's based off his "prisioner" gimmic when he was in the Nation of Domination, he didn't get the "biker" gimmic until after he left the NOD. despite what you may think I have nothing against you... I think Bio had the better custom. It was close but whatever, think what you want.

Hey guys, I have not been on these boards in a very long time since at least October? I went back to college and with work factored in, I just have been swamped. Sorry to anyone who was looking forward to my match with Bart, Hopefully we can do it again. Anyway heres my votes.
Superwarrior vs Saveus Two very good looking customs, however when it comes down to the end, I gotta go with Superwarrior. The pants and the design look great. The mask looks very good too. The Ortiz looks good but im not a big fan of the head and the hair. It just looks to much like Angle to me. However the shorts do look very good and the writing with the flames looks good.
Nova vs Nick Maniwa Im going with Nova's Booker T. The details on the tights and the tanktop could be a little neater and maybe more color? It looks very washy like it needs more coats. But I like the singlet on him, it looks pretty good. The Reckless Youth, wouldnt have been terrible if the eyes were better. They really take away from it. Its a basic figure, but the head I can do without.
Classiccollector vs Biohazard Wow this one is very tough. I really like the Golga, the pants look sculpted well and the color looks pretty close. The cartman design was pulled off very nice and I even like how you have the hair going out of the mask. I also love the Crush. Its so simple but its soooo effective. It looks awesome next to that Farooq. The head is done very well. Im simply going with Biohazards Golga simply because it looks as if more work and time went into it. Just for the future though what made this so difficult is the fact that you really cant judge 2 different scales in my opinion.
Nydream vs Titantrap Another tough tough vote. I think in the end I gotta go with Nydreams Chaz. The shirt sculpting looks good and the head and the hair actually works. Its amazing how good you have gotten dream. Titan, idk how I feel about this. It looks too basic in my mind. I wish you guys could hook up again with a wrestler stipulation, I dont think these actors really show the talents you two have.
Deen vs Whydraft I am very very very impressed with this match. I never realized how good you two were until today. Wow the sculpting is just incredible by both of these pieces. However I gotta go with Whydraft's Muta. This thing is beautiful, If I had cash and was still into wrestling and had my hasbros on display and my muta's out, Id buy this from you! The sculpting is ridiculous! How the hell did you pull off sculpting that dragon. Also amazing use of the head! Who knew greg valentine would make such a great, great muta? The painting is gorgeous.Deen your custom is incredible no denying it, just dont know if im a fan of those arms. The sculpting is incredible though and the painting is solid. I definately want to see a rematch here!
Sandman vs Gate Sandy this is by far the most gorgeous thing, I have ever seen from you. This thing is tight. The Sculpting is really good and the wrinkles were done so good. Painting is smooth, I just wish you could have maybe sealed it? Or make it look a little glossy? The head is great and the headpiece/mask is awesome. Gate I really like this too, except for me its too Jakksy. I think this is a type of custom that should have went all the way with no playablility. But hey thats just me, it still looks awesome and together all your customs look awesome. The paint job is flawless too. I wish I could put the paint and color on Sandys muta, maybe its just your cam sandy? In the end though im sticking with Sandy's Muta
Jay vs Famous J
Very good match from two great customizers. Im going with Jays Flair. It looks more real to me and I like everything about it. Famous J, I dont like how that torso is bigger then the waist, it looks way too unpreportionable. I also dont like the blood on Famous J's, it seems that Jay pulled it off much better.
Gore vs Gate Well this was a close one, however I gotta say Gates JJ is better. Gore I dont really like the head at all, he kinda reminds me of the bum in Superbad. I also think theres a little too much sealer on him, but the tights are super. Gate, I cant really complain with anything here. The designs are flawless, idk if its paint or decal but it works for me. Love it. The skin tone looks great, and the head works for me. Jeff is a tough guy to get a good head on.
Great show, id like to see a couple rematches or a couple of mixed up matchups like Jay vs Gate, Sandy vs Deen. I think everyones peaking in the customs world. I hope to come back in the summer with some new stuff, I miss you guys. Be good everyone

i voted for your crush figure, but mate you need to lose that attitude, somone gave an opinion on your custom, what he said was fair enough. You on the other hand have for some reason grown a rather large head, with ego, and claimed that nearly 'everyone' would rather have yours than theirs.
Whats the point of posting customs on a forum (let alone a competition) if you freak out over peoples comments.

Alright classiccollector your coming off as a hypocrit now(I SPELLED IT WRONG I KNOW) because yesterday you talked about how gore was complaining because someone voted aginst him then you go and do the same exact thing. Seriously....

despite what you may think I have nothing against you... I think Bio had the better custom. It was close but whatever, think what you want. So basically every "flaw" you found on my figure made no sense if you looked at more than one of the pictures I had posted, as well as had a lil bit of common sense - but I guess there is none there for you. And for all the haters about must have a custom skintone, I stick with the "i'd rather have a generic skin tone that looks good instead of a pasty white chalky looking skin tone (like you, bio, Dream & Titan displayed)." I guarantee 99.9% of wrestling figure fans would choose my figure over your or Bios, and people seem to love my work when posted on the main board but diss all the crappy skin tones ones, wonder why ? dude, why don't you take it like a man, stop crying when someone doesn't vote for you. who cares? you'll never last in these competitions if you don't grow a thick skin. does it really make any difference in the grand scheme of things? is complaining about votes against you gonna make them change there mind? insulting others work doesn't help either. i don't know why, but you seem to want to try and pick some fight with me. sorry to dissapoint, but i'm a grown man and i'm not going to be goaded into a fight over toys. So what, two judges crapon your work, whoop te do. Get over it, man up and let it go.

Crap! I totally missed the Gore vs. GCS match.
Gore: Looks really good. Love the paint job and hair sculpt. Looks like you thought outside the box as far as part choice goes. All the parts work exceptionally. If I had to nitpick I would say the paint on the hair could be better. It looks like you did a dark over light drybrush where I think you would be better served doing a light over dark. Also, the peach sign hand looks a little bit unnnatural.
GCS: Pulling double duty, huh? Very impressive! The paintjob is one of the cleanest I have seen. The lines are so well down and so straight. Usually there will be a little shakiness here and there, but you managed to avoid that. The hands look nice as well. Great job. Only complaint would be that the singles could use a few more wrinkles.
I'm giving this one to GCS.
Classiccollector: I understand you wanted to match your figure to the previous one, but in my eyes, the old one looks silly wearing flat blue and the head is cartoonish on that one as well. I don't understand why you would want to make a point for point update of an inaccurate figure to begin with. It's good for what it is. You definitely achieved the goal you set out to do but sorry man, my vote isn't going to change.

the point of the competitions isn't to make stuff that sells on ebay, if it was my buddy skribble would be the champion. the point is to do something different, something that showcases your talent, pushes the limits of your abilities. it's a chance to make a show piece, to try new things or think outside of the box. if you want to whore stuff for ebay, do it, we all have including me. but that stuff really doesn't belong in a showcase. if you don't want to do your own skintones...don't. just try to find parts that match up better. i think you're missing the big picture, it seems that the main issue seems to be the innacuracy of the figure, not just the mismatched tones. i looked for some ref shots but i couldn't find the right ones, so i can't say myself if it is accurate or not. take critisizm in stride, thats how you improve. But if insulting our work makes you feel better, knock yourself out. It doesn't hurt my feelings.
