Anyone else thinking this far ahead, that you are waiting for the Mattel version of a wrestler? Jakk's Cryme Tyme figs are kinda disappointing, so I'm waiting to see Mattel's.

I would like to see what they look like, but I doubt I will buy anything from them

Nope, not collecting the Mattel line, so I'm doing the opposite and making sure I grab everyone I want from Jakks now.

I don't understand the loyalty to Jakks on this board. I keep seeing, "I'll get them if they're as good as Jakks." I'm sorry but Jakks figures suck. Mattel is gonna have to try pretty hard to make them worse. In my opinion.

I mean the DA's are a bit better but RA's are pretty sad...mobility wise. I just dont want to imagine figs with those rvd style leg stretches

But now a companie that has much better toys out there come along and everyone thinks they'll be worse. I'm not going to pass my judgement untill I see protos for mattel.

I hope they show something at San Diego Comicon. And I really hope they don't get the four horsemen, they're cool and all but all their stuff looks the same. They should get some of the guys that worked on the TNA figures. Being that Toybiz no longer exists those guys could probably use the work.

Dang, the wait is tough. I really want Jakks to stay on, put aside their faults and mishaps, because after all, I have heard really bad stories about how Mattel make their figs, I even heard that the quality control is worse than on Jakks figs and that would really worry me. I do not collect anything made by Mattel so I will wait for protos and maybe buy 2 of them to bring a final verdict on if I will collect or not; BTW, I will wait for a Mattel version of Orton, sleave tattoos please

I wouldn't be surprised if they show off a bunch of stuff at San Diego comicon. I'm really curious as to how these will look. I'm hoping for awesome.

Depending on the price, I might just get them all - at least until they start branching out into all the various series'.
I'm wondering what the release schedule will be like, whether it'll be a lot of figures with new waves every month that includes a lot of repaints, or if it'll be something more original but less frequent.

I'm also not seeing Mike Knox get a new Jakks figure, and I'd get the ECW one but it is his old look and he looks really....happy. So I'm also hoping for a good Mike Knox aswell.

If Mattel makes a Classic line I'm in...if not then I'll just buy a Triple H and that'll probably be it as I don't follow modern wrestling anymore.

Just got these yesterday. Im quite pleased with them. JTG's pants aren't that accurate since he likes to pull 1 pants leg up but i'm fine with that. If u gonna wait for Mattel's version, i'm not being mean but i won't be surprised if Cryme Tyme will be released by then. Just like Dunce and Domino.

BROOKLYN BROOKLYN
Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about though. Once we see how they look I'll definitely probably be saving space and not bothering with a Jakks figure to get a Mattell figure instead...

I don't understand the loyalty either, especially considering how bad their figures always turn out and it's not like Mattel makes bad figures. It's pretty confusing.
