At Wrestlemania 6 Rowdy Roddy Piper painted himself half black for his match with Bad News Brown. At the time I didn't really get it and now I think it was kind of stupid. What were your thoughts?

As much as I'm a long time Piper mark, this was almost as bad as his WM2 match. On a funny note, when he went to shower after this match, Gorilla Monsoon took the soap that was supposed to remove the make up. Piper said he looked the same & went to the airport in California with a huge Mickey Mouse stuffed animal. No one questioned him or bothered him.

I dont think people know about the whole build up. Bad News Brown always came off very stereotypical with as a black man that was treated unfairly and had hard times because the color of his skin. Piper painting himself half and half was his way of saying "I dont represent white or blacks, I represent both" Really it was a strong statement that he made. I think it makes up for a lot of things he did that were racially borderline in the 80s like calling Mr T a monkey and throwing bananas at him

I thought it made him look like a half-moon cookie.

It was a powerful statement and was well done. But it wouldn't work today. Today it would be "That's racists. You can't say the word black on television before 10PM that's just wro... OMG MARK OUT MARK OUT I'M MARKING OUT IT'S KELLY ING KELLY"

its a tricky one, im not sure of what the intention really was, id hope it was for the right reasons, G-MONEY is right with what he has said. It could be a case of ' i represent black and white people', but the MR.T thing was over the line, meaning, was he trying to redeem himself, or was something else intended.
Again, shame it was a crap match, but i did like Brown, as well as piper

that was amazing. "so we know two things about ya - you're a jerk, and you're stupid."
