I want to go back and watch some of the old RAWS from earlier years, as I started watching in 98. I feel as though I have missed out, but am not sure on what exactly. I was wondering if i could gather opinions on the follwing years of RAW,
Raw 94 Raw 95 Raw 96 RAW 97
What were the quality of matches like? (particularly in the earlier years of 94 and 95)
What were the entertaining goings on during these years of RAW?
Thanks to anyone who can help.

From 1993 to 1995, it was mainly full of squash matches, maybe a midcard match here or there. Main eventers usually just cut promos or something, but that ended when the In Your House pay-per-views were added in May 1995.
From 1995-1996, there was an odd squash match, but the rest was upper-carder facing lower-carder, maybe an upper-car main event.
1996-1997 it became how it is nowadays.

I don't know if this interests you, but on WWE.com they have that Online Video Subscription and they have old episodes of Raw up. I think they have the first 60 shows up, but I am not really sure. I haven't used it in awhile.

Man, you missed quite possibly the best year and the first year (IMO) of Attitude, 1997.

1997 was such an awesome year from start to finish. I actually like 1997 more than the attitude era stuff from '98-'00

1997 is probably the only one of those worth tracking down and watching. 1997 was a phenomenal year and when they started using Raw more and more to build up storylines, and have actual matches instead of constant squash matches. That's when Raw became vital to watch.

I haven't used it in awhile. Isn't that apart of WWE 24/7? They show the shows in order and right now they are at December of 97 so Raw's before that is a no. Which kinda bites if you want to see something before then but didn't sign up when they first started doing this. On rare occasion they'll throw in a show from before like when they had a month dedicated to the "kings of wrestling" they had a Raw up from 1994. Nothing really to say about 94 or 95 to be honest. I think 96 had some decent stories going on with Bret vs Shawn and Taker vs Mankind and stuff like that. But I can't say there were any matches on Raw that stand. But 1997 was certainly great with the whole Bret vs Austin thing to kick off the year then the USA vs Canada stuff.

i managed to get hold of the sets your talking about. i cant say how as i errrr, cant remember!
Anyway, 90's wwf is what i am all about, the whole decade was incredible IMO, the amount of difference from year to year. I liked the 80's, i like early 00' but every single year of the 90's will never be beaten, purely because it was when i watched the most. Early 90's - Hogans, Warriors etc etc, late 93' - 95' - crazy characters that have no relevence to life what so ever (my fav)... and 96-99 - main event focused attitude awesomeness. Its all good and i hope you get a chance to check out the years you requested.
The progression of RAW over the years is incredible
90's WWF will forever be the best

I prefer 1999 for RAW in the Attitude Era, sure, Vince Russo booking a large part of it isn't great, but still.

Thanks for all the input so far. Is that avaliable to UK customers? To be honest, I don't know. I tried looking for some details to see if it is or not, but could not find that information. I can not imagine why it would not be avaliable to the UK though.

I just had to jump in this thread as 94' to 97' where the exact years i was the biggest into wrestling..im not even close now to how much i was into it then. Ive been searching through old tapes trying to find old episodes and pay per views from that era.
