far more entertaining than i expected. going in i was looking at this to be a throw away event... 3 really quality matches in guerrero/flair, malenko/benoit and mysterio/dragon changed that on the undercard. then bobby heenan got smashed out of his face, and started accidently rooting for the nwo in the outsiders/sting-luger match, which made that match even more entertaining. his apologizing for it, then going back to rooting for the nwo, was cracking me up immensely. and then bobby continued to make the event even greater, with his drunken commentary on hogan in the main event.
"i knew he was a complete piece of scum all along" - heenan on hogan.

Halloween Havoc 1989- Ric Flair/Sting vs. Great Muta/Terry Funk w/ Bruno Sammartino as special guest referee
--Pretty entertaining match for what it was. It was a weird concept but I enjoyed the bout. Just curious, why did they have Sammartino as special guest ref?

Don't know if its considered classic yet, but just watched Punk vs Aries for the ROH title Death Before Dishonor III. First ROH match Ive actually watched. Started off slow but damn it picked up fast. These two beat the crap of each other. The fireman's carry on the ring apron by Aries was sick. I dug the ended with Punk basically Hulking up and reversing the 450 into the Andaconda Vice. Ive already seen the post match promo Punk cuts numerous times, but it never gets old. Definitely going to check out more of both mens work in ROH.

Hulk Hogan vs. Stan Hansen
Always entertains as it was on a Hulk video I had as a kid, loved that match as it was so different to normal WWF then.
Anyone know where I can get this as well as the match Hogan had with Savage (including the entrances) in france with English commentary?

Watching WM 14 Austin Vs. HBK
I respect Shawn for going out there and doing what he did, taking the bumps he took with his back the way it was.
With that being said, this match is pretty horrible. I hate to even say that because I each man's work as a rule of thumb, but this is ugly.

the Gimmick Battle Royal from WrestleMania 17.
Such a hilarious and fun match to watch. Brought back memories of when I saw this live 10 years ago and not really knowing some of the guys at the time. It was great to see all of the classic guys going at it.

Just watched The ironman match from Mania 12.....still one of the very few 1 hour or so matched I can watch start to finish, great job by both guys there.

Also watched Lesnar vs Goldberg at Mania XX What a stinkfest that was that match could have been awesome if it was left the way it was originally booked.it was meant to be an over the top power brawl like(the excellent) Steiner vs Goldberg at Fall Brawl 2000 but instead of giving the fans what we wanted to see Vinnie and his in idiot daughter decided to humiliate both men. |

Awesome match, one of my favourites to watch. Heel Taker was just a great breath of fresh air and was fun, plu RVD was doing great in the hardcore divison, it made this match a fun hard-hitting, classic hardcore match.
