Alright, lets go with Smackdown. A big show coming here tonight. The Miz opening things up is interesting and him being King of the Ring is something I have dug. I had him be pushed through Money in the Bank [before WWE did, I'm better than them]. I don't know if he will win at Summerslam though. I don't even know exactly what will happen at Summerslam. Decent opening match up here with Jack Swagger beating Rey Mysterio, the United States Champion needs it with Seth Rollins Tyler Black waiting for him. Decent tag team match with The Straight Edge Society over Tatsu and Yang. The Jung Dragons? I don't remember that name but whatever. Basically a squash for the SES, which is fine. Randy Orton in the first hour main event, ah. Charlie Haas? That seems weird. Maybe it is just because we haven't seen Haas in a while. Orton winning was rather obvious though. Shelton Benjamin and Orton feuding shall be interesting. Now, of course, the Haas thing makes sense. I feel silly stupid. Cody Rhodes with the win over R-Truth, expected here. He is bound to become a champion of some sort soon. Up next, a solid number one contenders match for the Wmen's Championship as AJ Lee beats Serena. I'm cool with that, as Gail Kim vs AJ Lee as it is mentor vs student. I expect AJ to win at Summerslam. Finally, the main event and wow. I'm somewhat shocked to see Christian become the WWE Champion but wow! Clearly sets the stage for Christian vs The Miz at Summerslam in another match between the two, where I could see Miz take the belt rather quickly, as well as CM Punk vs Kurt Angle. The show seemed very slow to get built up but the end made up for it, Kev.

Smack Down became a news worthy with the title change at the end (which I predicted) but before the Main Event the show was fine SES were showcased. Orton continued his rivalry with a victory over Haas which is a match I would have enjoyed. Rhodes is another on the rise and Black/Swagger continued well.
None of the above was written to over shadow the Main Event which is smart booking and it allows the title change to make more of an impact. Setting up the Main Event, Miz cut a nice promo and you teased us by having Angle join the GM's. Christian then beat Punk in a fun match to finally become champ.
I understand why you did the change, it gives us Angle/Punk at SummerSlam plus you've decided their rivalry don't need the title which is a fair point. Christian/Miz have a good story going but at the minute this doesn't feel like a promotion for Christian but a demotion for the title so you may have to work hard to make Christian feel like a worthy champ after all the big loses he's suffered this year. Overall though a well thought out title change - thumbs up

August 2nd, 2010 | AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas | Attendance: 16, 581
- Following the weekly signature and intro, pyro shoots off in San Antonio as the commentary unit of Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome the fans to another sold out edition of Monday Night Raw. Tonight, we will see just who the better man is when Kofi Kingston battles Alberto Del Rio in a 2 out of 3 falls match, plus Chris Jericho and John Cena will be signing a contract for their big encounter at SummerSlam! First things first thought, after getting brutally attacked last week, Edge is hosting the Cutting Edge!
- Edge comes out to a big ovation from the crowd in San Antonio although his arm is still in a sling. He gets in the ring and grabs a microphone before addressing the WWE Universe. “Last week I was attacked by a giant ginger because he wanted to make an impact here in the WWE. Never mind that the guy has taken out future Hall of Famers like Batista and The Undertaker, but he decided that I would be next on his hit list.” Edge says that he’s been around for a long time and he’s been attacked by some of the best Superstars in WWE history so what Sheamus did is no big surprise. He says that he understands Sheamus’ motivation but says that if he wanted some, all he had to do was ask. He calls the “Celtic Warrior” out and Sheamus obliges, making his way out to the stage. Sheamus has a microphone and tells Edge that he doesn’t just “ask” when he wants to make an impact. “I’ve been watching the WWE for years, fella, so I know that you’ve been attacked before and last week probably wasn’t the last time. But I’m not like the guys you’ve faced before. I took out Batista and I beat The Undertaker at Extreme Rules. Unfortunately for you, fella, a guy with seven World Titles is my next target.” Edge gives a chuckle and says that he is glad to hear that. He says that he has not been cleared to wrestle, but will be ready in just under two weeks at SummerSlam and John “Bradshaw” Layfield has agreed to put the two of them in a match on that night. The crowd roars in approval as Sheamus has a smirk on his face at the top of the ramp. Edge ends the segment with some final words. “Sheamus, you might not be like anyone I’ve ever faced before but I promise you that you’ve never faced someone like me. I am the Ultimate Opportunist and I will do any and everything to beat you at SummerSlam.”
- Cutting to the backstage area, two limousines are shown pulling up to the arena. The Best in World exit them in suits and look like a million bucks. They have a big night ahead of them as Alberto Del Rio competes in the main event and Chris Jericho has a huge contract signing.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, a recap is shown of the Cutting Edge where Edge announced that he is set to face Sheamus in a first time ever match at SummerSlam!
- The Airbourne Angels def. The Hart Trilogy w/ Natalya Neidhart >> The Dudebusters have been on top of the tag team division for a few months now but these are two teams that are huge threats to them. The Hart Trilogy are former two time Tag Team Champions and the Airbourne Angels are on the rise. That rise continued tonight when they defeated one of the top teams in recent memory after Justin Angel hit Harry Smith with the 450 Splash.
- The San Antonio crowd pops for the Airbourne Angels as they celebrate their victory before shaking hands in a good show of sportsmanship with the Hart Trilogy. The Dudebusters are shown watching on a monitor in the back as they may not have ridden themselves of the Airbourne Angels yet.
- John “Bradshaw” Layfield is shown in his office when the Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler enters. Dolph says that he heard there is a number one contender’s match for his title tonight. Layfield responds that there is one involving Mr. Kennedy, Elijah Burke, Ted Dibiase Jr and Matt Hardy. Dolph says that he’s cool with this because he’s been looking for some actual competition. Before he leaves JBL stops him and says that he has a non-title match tonight against some tough competition in Jeff Hardy! The crowd cheers loudly as Dolph doesn’t look too pleased.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Backstage, Kofi Kingston is shown warming up for tonight’s match with Alberto Del Rio when Jeff Hardy comes up to him to an ovation from the crowd. Jeff wishes him good luck tonight because he would love nothing more than to see Del Rio get what’s coming to him. Kofi thanks him and Jeff says that he has an idea before they walk off and discuss this idea.
- Ted Dibiase Jr def. Elijah Burke, Matt Hardy and Mr. Kennedy to become the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship >> Four of the best workers on the roster went at it in a very fun Fatal Four Way match tonight with high stakes on the line. Elijah Burke and Mr. Kennedy continued their rivalry by focusing on each other and fighting to the outside. That allowed Ted Dibiase Jr and Matt Hardy to have a bit of a retread of their match last week which again ended with a Dream Street.
- The crowd pops as Ted Dibiase Jr has secured himself a future Intercontinental Title shot. Dibiase wore the Intercontinental Title last year and could wear it again very soon.
- Returning, Ashley Valance is standing by with the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship, John Cena. The WWE Universe gives a mixed reaction as Cena appears on screen and Ashley asks for his thoughts on the contract signing later tonight. “Ashley, this is not my first rodeo, I’ve been a part of a lot of contract signings in my day so I know what to expect tonight. Chris Jericho and I are going to the ring, we’re going to sit across from each other at a big table, we’re gonna smack talk and sign the papers. And then we’re going to fight.” The crowd cheers at this as Cena continues by saying that a fight is just what he’s looking for when it comes to the Best in the World.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, Michael Cole mentions that in just a few weeks Raw will be celebrating its 900th episode spectacular live from Boston, Massachusetts on August 30th! All three brands will be on hand for this 3 hour broadcast and it will include some guest stars from Raw’s past!
- Non-Title Match: Jeff Hardy def. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler >> The crowd was treated to a phenomenal first hour main event as Dolph Ziggler showed that he can hang with the top stars of the WWE. Jeff Hardy is a former World Heavyweight and WWE Champion, as well as the 2010 Royal Rumble winner and Ziggler picked up a few near falls. He also managed to get a shoulder up after being hit with the Twist of Fate, which shocked the WWE Universe. Dolph’s valiant effort ended when Jeff connected with the Swanton Bomb.
- Jeff Hardy gets to his feet and the crowd gives him a loud ovation. The announcers put over how close Dolph Ziggler came to shocking the world as Jeff grabs a microphone. “I’m sure you all saw me talking to Kofi Kingston a little while ago and I told him that I had an idea. Well, the Best in the World have been thorns in my side since arriving here on Raw and they obviously have caused Kofi some grief. So my idea was for myself and Kofi to team up and face two members of the Best in the World. We took the plan to JBL and he decided that at SummerSlam, myself and Kofi Kingston will face Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger!” The crowd pops for this huge announcement.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning to the backstage area, Chris Jericho and the Best in the World are not pleased with the announcement of the tag team match for SummerSlam. Jack Swagger seems calm though as he says that Alberto Del Rio will beat Kofi Kingston tonight and they’ll get the job done at SummerSlam. Jericho likes the confidence of the United States Champion and he pats him on the back.
- Cutting back to the arena, LayCool is shown in the ring and they have microphones. Michelle McCool says that tonight she will face Tiffany, an idiot Diva who thinks that teaming up with Piggy James will get her somewhere. In unison LayCool says “it won’t.” Before they can continue to berate Mickie James and Tiffany, Tiffany’s theme cuts them off.
- Non-Title Match: Divas Champion Michelle McCool w/ Layla def. Tiffany >> Michelle McCool has really stepped her game as of late but so has Tiffany. This was a solid Divas contest, but Layla tripped up Tiffany as she was gaining steam, allowing McCool to nail her with a huge big boot and seal the win.
- Layla enters the ring and celebrates with Michelle McCool. McCool has Layla pick up Tiffany as it looks like she’s going to continue the assault, but Mickie James runs down to the ring. LayCool flees as she enters though and they back up the ramp making “oink” sounds as Mickie.
- A graphic is shown for the contract signing that is coming up later tonight before cutting to Kofi Kingston walking towards the arena as the 2 out of 3 falls match is next!
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo airs for Smackdown this Friday night. Christian finally realized his dream of becoming the WWE Champion after he defeated CM Punk last Friday. Now, he gears up for a SummerSlam title defense against the 2010 King of the Ring, The Miz. Plus, CM Punk and Kurt Angle will be both be in the building and there is no telling what will happen.
- 2 Out of 3 Falls: Kofi Kingston def. Alberto Del Rio w/ Gail Kim 2-1 >> Much like their match at The Bash, Alberto Del Rio and Kofi Kingston got a lot of time tonight. Alberto Del Rio forced Kofi Kingston to submit about seven minutes in with the Cross Armbreaker and Kofi’s back was against the wall. About five minutes later, he scored a pinfall with a victory roll to tie things up. The final few minutes involved Del Rio focusing on Kofi’s arm but a surprising Trouble in Paradise from out of nowhere gave Kofi some retribution.
- The WWE Universe pops loudly as Kofi Kingston has finally gained a measure of revenge on Alberto Del Rio for costing him his Money in the Bank cash in.
- The Best in the World’s new theme music hits as they come down to the ring and Kofi Kingston quickly exits to the outside. They get in the ring as they prepare for the contract signing.
- ===Commercial Break===
- During the break, Jeff Hardy joined Kofi Kingston at ringside for this contract signing.
- John ‘Bradshaw” Layfield is in the ring with the Best in the World and he says that he is excited to present the WWE Universe with a big time World Heavyweight Title match SummerSlam between two of the very best in the history of the WWE. With that being said, he brings out John Cena, who gets his usual mixed reaction. Cena sprints to the ring and sits down at the table. He grabs a microphone, “I told Ashley Valance earlier what was going to happen here so I believe it’s time for the trash talking.” Chris Jericho has a smug look on his face as he speaks into his microphone. “John, I’m not out here to trash talk with you. I’m out here to sign this contract that will allow me to beat you at SummerSlam and show the entire world once again why I’m the best in the world at what I do.” Jericho takes the pen and signs the contract as Cena looks impressed. “I’m actually surprised and proud of you. For once you’ve kept your mouth shut.” The crowd pops at this statement as Cena continues by saying that Jericho got one thing wrong. He is not going to retain the World Title at SummerSlam. John Cena promises to become the World Heavyweight Champion for the second time in his career and if Jericho remembers, it was him that Cena won the title from the first time. Jericho is not happy about this as Cena signs the contract. Cena then moves the table out of the way and says that it seems like it is about time for the fighting portion of this contract signing. Jericho says that he doesn’t do things the way Cena wants and he’s above getting into a petty fight before their match. Jericho and the Best in the World go to leave, but Jericho turns back and levels Cena. The Best in the World begin to stomp on him. Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston slide into the ring as the crowd goes insane for this big brawl. However, their happiness is cut short as the numbers advantage that the Best in the World has is too much for the heroes. Del Rio once again puts Kingston in the Cross Armbreaker, while Jack Swagger has Jeff Hardy in the Ankle Lock and Jericho locks Cena in the Walls of Jericho. All three men are writhing in pain until Jericho breaks the hold and tells his partners to do the same. Tonight, the Best in the World stand tall and truly look dominant.

8/3/2010 Edition- Previous reports of Claudio Castagnoli getting called up at the same time as Mistico are false. Mistico is expected to get called up by October under the name "Sin Cara", which loosely translates to "Without Face"
- Since losing at The Bash, the Big Show hasn't been seen. He is contemplating retirement but if he doesn't, he should return sometime next month, most likely to Raw.
- The WWE is looking to build up their mid-card on Raw. It is felt that Sin Cara will assist there, but Dolph Ziggler is running low on challengers for his Intercontinental Title. Expect some call ups or trades coming to shake things up.
- Obviously, Kurt Angle is working a program with CM Punk in his return. This is expected to last a few months before moving onto something else. Rumors have it that Angle's return contract included a guaranteed run with the WWE Championship, but nothing is confirmed.

August 3rd, 2010 | Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, Texas | Attendance: 7, 265
- After the weekly intro video plays, the excited fans of Laredo, Texas are shown as Joey Styles and Byron Saxton introduce tonight's show. Last week, Bryan Danielson and John Morrison met for the first time but it was cut short by Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson. Tonight, in a preview of SummerSlam, Danielson teams with Morrison to face Barrett and Jackson!
- Alex Riley def. Zack Ryder w/ Courtney >> Since turning face recently, Zack Ryder has been riding a wave of momentum. Not only has he been picking up wins, but the fans are really starting to pull for him. Unfortunately for him, Alex Riley had a trick up his sleeve as he utilized a handful of tights to snatch this one away from the Long Island broski.
- The crowd boos as Alex Riley exits the ring quickly and celebrates his win. Courtney enters the ring and checks on Zack Ryder, but for some reason, can't seem to look away from Riley for too long.
- A graphic is shown for the next match where Kaval will take on Chris Masters!
- Returning, Drew McIntyre is shown walking into Theodore Long's office. He is not happy about Ezekiel Jackson teaming with Wade Barrett tonight. “The Best in the World only partner up with Superstars of our high standard.” Teddy Long tells Drew not to be jealous, which gets a laugh from the crowd. He tells Drew that he made the match because it was in the best interest of ECW, but he can be in action next week if he'd like. Drew responds with “Fine, but who will my victim be?” Long tells him that it will be a former ECW Superstar visiting for one night, Kofi Kingston! The crowd roars as McIntyre looks highly upset.
- Kaval def. Chris Masters >> Since wrapping up his beef with Paul Burchill, Kaval has been trying to move up through the ranks in ECW. He ran into a roadblock last week when he was forced to tap out to the Masterlock. He looked to gain some revenge and even the score between himself and Masters tonight and he did just that. He nailed the Warrior's Way off the top to pick up the win.
- Kaval threw his arms up in the air as he gains steam in his quest to reach the top of ECW. Chris Masters attacks him from behind though and locks him in the Masterlock! Kaval attempts to break it, but can't and officials have to run down to try and stop Masters.
- Backstage, John Morrison is shown stretching and going through his impressive parkour style workouts as he prepares for the main event.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning to ECW, a recap is shown of last week when Ezekiel Jackson and Drew McIntyre teamed up to face two guys getting tryouts with ECW, Johnny Curtis and Derrick Bateman. The youngsters gave it their all and came close but were unsuccessful in beating the “Best in the World.”
- The Dudebusters surprisingly come out here on ECW with their Tag Team Titles. The three of them get into the ring to a chorus of boos and Curt Hawkins grabs a microphone. He says that they watch ECW and last week they saw two guys try to get into the tag team division, only to lose. Caylen Croft speaks next and says that they are the dominant tag team in the WWE, so if anybody wants to impress in the tag team division, it should be against them. He calls out Bateman and Curtis, who, after a short time, answer the challenge.
- The Dudebusters w/ Trent Baretta def. Derrick Bateman & Johnny Curtis >> Just like last week, the new duo of Derrick Bateman and Johnny Curtis impressed the WWE Universe. They hung tough the with the Tag Team Champions, a team that just retained their belts in a grueling Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. They even got two near falls, but in the end Bateman fell victim to the Dudebuster.
- The WWE Tag Team Champions exit up the ramp while the young team looks disappointed in the ring. Johnny Curtis looks highly upset and he begins to shout at Derrick Bateman. He shouts something about Bateman getting pinned two weeks in a row and Bateman tries to calm him down. Things seem to simmer down until Curtis levels Bateman with a kick to the gut. He then hits him with a vicious Northern lights suplex into the turnbuckle. The crowd boos him as he climbs to the top and nails a diving leg drop as it looks like the new team is already over.
- Theodore Long is shown watching on a monitor and he doesn't look happy with the talent that he's evaluating. Abraham Washington enters and wants to know when he'll be able to host another edition of his Talk Show. Long says that he doesn't have the time to deal with this right now and Washington is not happy about the way he is being treated. He says something about hosting his show no matter what next week before storming out.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo for Friday Night Smackdown airs, recapping Christian's historical WWE Championship win before announcing that he will be hosting an episode of the Peep Show this week!
- Ezekiel Jackson & Wade Barrett def. ECW Champion Bryan Danielson & John Morrison >> A great main event to ECW this week as this was given a lot of time. This is the most likely reason behind a lack of in ring promos or the Abraham Washington Show as this went about seventeen minutes. Both John Morrison and Bryan Danielson got to make hot tags at different points in the contest. The team of Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson was just too dominant for the faces and the Wasteland put down Morrison.
- The crowd boos as Wade Barrett goes to celebrate the win but Ezekiel Jackson turns him around and nails him with the Book of Ezekiel. Bryan Danielson however, leaps off the top rope and dropkicks Jackson to the mat before kicking up to the crowd's roar. The ECW Champion stands tall heading into his biggest title defense.

I've missed some, haven't I? I'll get back into the swing of things with ECW. A good opening bout between Alex Riley and Zack Ryder. Glad that Riley got the win, and an interesting note about Courtney afterwards. Maybe Riley is getting a cheerleader. No one has ever done that before. Seriously, no one has ever done that before. Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston should be a great match to advance the rivalry between Best in the World and various superstars. Kaval with the victory was expected. Liked Masters' attack following the match. Would be cool for Kaval to break the Master Lock at some point. Obvious win for The Dudebusters. Wow, interesting development between Johnny Curtis and Derrick Bateman. Being a fan of both, I hope that this feud can elevate the both of them. Lastly, huge tag team main event with the four championship participants at SummerSlam. Barrett and Big Zeke going over is fine since I see Bryan Danielson retaining at SummerSlam. A great show.

Nice to see A-Ri getting a win and pairing of Riley/Courtney seems pretty cool. Kaval evening the score between himself and Masters at 1-1 is cool but there doesn't seem to be much in this feud. Judging by the post-match attack this one is clearly far from over so I hope you don't jump right into the rubber match next week as Kaval/Masters could have a decent feud. I like how you haven't given Bateman and Curtis a huge push off the bat. It seems like you're slowly building them up for an eventual surprise win and I like that since it's different. Welp, nevermind what I said since they're finished already. Yes! Loved the Abraham Washington Show! Huge main event for the show. For some reason I've always liked when a 4 way feud is turned into a tag match. I like how even although Bryan lost, he was still left standing tall to close the show. Good stuff, Kev!

As I missed Raw some quick thoughts on both Raw & ECW.
I'm not Kofi Kingston's biggest fan and I've struggled in others diaries to get behind a Kofi push it didn't seem believeable but you have finally managed to make me care about Kofi. Kofi has never been more "over" with me. Great job
Jeff Hardy feels too big of a star to be in the tag match at SummerSlam as much as I'm enjoying Kofi and BITW, Hardy feels like a step higher and I doubt it will be long before he's chasing the title.
Sheamus is another star on the rise and his match with Edge could go either way.
Really enjoy ECW it's like your version of NXT. A chance for the younger guys to shine.
Riley got a nice enhancement win over Ryder and looks like they'll be an addition to his character soon enough.
Glad Low Ki got his win back
Nice twist of Curtis attacking Bateman, Curtis has a lot of potential.
Main Event a great way to set up the ECW title match. Expect Bryan to win but eventually lose the title to Barrett who is heating up. Don't know why you ever went away from this diary I've you've created something very special.
When you get a chance check out TNA56

Decent start to ECW with Alex Riley getting an over win against Zack Ryder, using the tights that rat bastard! Courtney, you skank, how dare you even consider leaving the broski for the homoski! Kaval beating Chris Masters was fine, although Masters locking in the Masterlock certainly sets up for something between the two. I do hope to see Masters come out on top of this, in all honesty. Undervalued guy and I haven't really ever cared much for Kaval/Low-Ki. Good visit for The Dudebusters while giving Curtis and Bateman a little bit of showtime against the champions... wait, what the hell? Johnny Fandango turning on Derrick Bateman just like that!? What the hell, Fandango Johnny Curtis? WHAT THE HELL? Ezekiel Jackson and Wade Barrett getting the win I was pleased with, seeing as how the only guy in the match I can't see walking out with the belt at Summerslam is John Morrison. Good to have him be the one defeated and for Bryan Danielson to stand tall at the end of the night. A solid edition of ECW.

Hey again! Time to play catch-up once more. It seems like a pattern now. But anyway, here we go.
Friday Night SmackDown Once again, the show opens with the Miz. The 2010 King of the Ring is really hot right now so it's a good way to start this edition of SmackDown, making his intentions clear that he plans on walking out of SummerSlam with the WWE Championship. But who will be the champion? CM Punk or Christian? We'll find out later tonight. But first, United States Champion Jack Swagger continues his momentum with a victory over Rey Mysterio in a rehash of their feud on ECW last year. This works because having a victory over an established veteran like Mysterio makes him look stronger for his eventual confrontation with Tyler Black. I could see that match going either way when it does happen. Nice interview with AJ Lee building her up for her match later on against Serena Mancini for the opportunity to face Women's Champion Gail Kim. Pretty obvious victory for the Straight Edge Society over the Jung Dragons. Sorry to Yoshi Tatsu and Jimmy Yang, but those guys are pretty much the job team of the tag team division. It also makes the SES looking strong with Punk defending his title against Christian. Kinda figured Randy Orton would be victorious over Charlie Haas, although I wouldn't have been surprised if something happened to have caused an upset. But Shelton Benjamin will appear on the show next week to address Orton. So I guess this feud will be going on a little longer, which is cool. Good segments focusing on Christian and Punk getting psyched up for the main event. It really makes this match seem special. "The Prince of Pro Wrestling" Cody Rhodes continues to show why he's a star on the rise with a not-so-surprising victory over R-Truth. If Black defeats Swagger to regain the United States Championship, I could see Rhodes challenging Black next. Kurt Angle shows up in the back with Stephanie McMahon and Vickie Guerrero to watch the main event. Although he said he's not going to involve himself in the match, I still expect an Angle appearance in some form. Predictable victory for Lee against Mancini. It makes the teacher vs. student match official. Looking forward to see how that turns out. Looks like the Miz is out to scout his SummerSlam opponent. Finally, the main event we've all been waiting for. In Jim Ross fashion: BY GOD! BY GOD! CHRISTIAN HAS DONE IT! HE'S THE NEW WWE CHAMPION! HIS JOURNEY TO BECOME CHAMPION HAS COME TO AN END! Great way to end the show with Christian finally winning the title he's chased after since returning at the Royal Rumble. But now Christian has the Miz to deal with at SummerSlam. With the way you've been pushing Miz, I wouldn't be surprised if he wins the title at SummerSlam. I would like to see Christian have a nice long reign though. But we'll just have to wait and see with that. Meanwhile, it frees up Punk now to deal with Angle in what should be an awesome feud. Great show like always!
Monday Night RAW Interesting way to open the show with Edge addressing his recent issues with Sheamus. A match between the show is made official at SummerSlam. I could see this feud with Edge doing wonders for Sheamus, who already has built up momentum with victories over Batista and the Undertaker earlier this year. Great way to kick off the show action-wise with the Airbourne Angels getting the win over the Hart Trilogy. I'm guessing the Angels are going to be challenging for the Dudebusters' Unified WWE Tag Team Championship. Love how you're booking the tag team division. It's great stuff. Fun fatal four-way involving Ted Dibiase Jr., Elijah Burke, Mr. Kennedy and Matt Hardy to name the number one contender for Dolph Ziggler's Intercontinental Championship. Considering the confrontation Dibiase and Ziggler had the previous week, it seemed pretty obvious the junior Dibiase would be getting the next shot against Ziggler. Typical Cena interview previewing the contract signing with World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho for their match at SummerSlam. I just realized that it would be the second time Cena and Jericho will face each other for the championship at SummerSlam, with the previous encounter in 2005. Fun fact right there. Oooh, the 900th episode of RAW coming up! Sounds like a great show in the making. Great match between Ziggler and Jeff Hardy to end the first hour. It really makes Ziggler look good to hang with a former WWE/World Heavyweight Champion, event though he lost. But the real story is the post-match events, with Hardy and Kofi Kingston challenging the Best in the World, in this case Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger, to a tag team match at SummerSlam. I wondered what Hardy would be doing on RAW when he came over. Now I know what. It also helps Kingston's stock rise by aligning himself with Hardy in this match. Good match featuring the divas involved in the Diva's Championship chase. Good call to have Diva's Champion Michelle McCool win over Tiffany to continue the storyline. LayCool is sure coming off as a pair of evil bitches in this feud. But it will make it much sweeter when either Mickie James or Tiffany dethrone McCool for the title. Time for the main event with Kingston and Del Rio continuing their heated feud that came about from Kingston's failed attempt to cash in his Money-in-the-Bank briefcase to become the World Heavyweight Champion. Typical booking to have them tied one a piece with Kingston getting the deciding fall to win the match. It could've gone either way as I definitely see this being a feud in which both guys can come out looking good. Awesome match. But the final segment is the contract signing between Jericho and Cena. It's awesome to see Cena recall the history they have together as well as Cena pretty much going along with the typical contract signing formula with a huge brawl afterwards. But this one also involves Hardy, Kingston, Swagger and Del Rio. But the heels stand tall this time around, which helps them look strong over three of the most popular RAW faces going into SummerSlam. Great show.
ECW on Sci-Fi Great way to open the show with the young guns of ECW in Alex Riley and Zack Ryder. I like seeing Riley getting the victory, but I also like what happened with Courtney looking at Riley following the match. Gee, I wonder what's going to happen here. Looking forward to see this feud develop. Interesting backstage segment with Drew McIntyre getting upset over his fellow Best in the World teammate Ezekiel Jackson partnering with Wade Barrett. But McIntyre will have his hands full next week when Kofi Kingston makes an appearance on ECW to further his feud with Best in the World. Should be a great match to further the story along. Nice to see Kaval get some revenge against Chris Masters from the previous week, but now it looks like a feud will be developing between them. That's good because I like both guys and it gives them something to do. Awesome to see the Unified WWE Tag Team Champion Dudebusters make an appearance on ECW, especially since the brand doesn't have a strong tag team roster unless you count McIntyre and Jackson. They call out the young tag team of Johnny Curtis and Derrick Bateman for a match. Once again, Curtis and Bateman fall short, but what happened after the match really caught me off-guard with Curtis beating the hell out of Bateman for losing the match. I guess that tag team is done with. You didn't waste any time with those guys. Interesting to see where they go from here now. Finally, the main event featuring Jackson and Barrett taking on the popular team of ECW Champion Bryan Danielson and John Morrison. If anyone has a chance to dethrone Danielson, it's Barrett. The proof of that is in him pinning Morrison to claim the victory for his team. But Barrett gets laid out by Jackson, who in turn is laid out by Danielson. The ECW Champion stands tall to end the show as he prepares for his biggest title defense at SummerSlam. It's going to be a great match. Another great show!

August 6th , 2010 | Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, Texas | Attendance: 7, 265- After the intro video and pyro display, cameras scan over the arena while Matt Striker and Todd Grisham introduce tonight's big episode of Friday Night Smackdown! Tonight, Christian hosts a Championship celebration edition of the Peep Show and we will hear from Shelton Benjamin for the first time since being punted in the skull two weeks ago.
- “This Fire Burns” is heard throughout the arena as CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society walk down to the ring and they do not look happy. Last week not only did CM Punk lose his coveted WWE Championship but Serena Mancini lost a number one contender's match for the Women's Championship. They get in the ring and CM Punk snatches the microphone from Justin Roberts. Punk begins with a statement that gets a pop from the crowd. “Tonight, I'm cashing in my rematch clause and facing Christian for my WWE Title.” He continues by saying that Christian as WWE Champion is a joke and he is sorry that the WWE Universe has him to lead them. “I should still be your leader. I am the kind of person that can guide you all in the right direction. You all need a straight edge savior. Not someone who's greatest claim is that he's charismatic.” CM Punk says that not only will be regain the WWE Title tonight, but Drew Gallows and Joseph Matthews will become the number one contender's for the WWE Tag Team Titles. He turns his attention to Kurt Angle now and just the mention of his name gets the crowd cheering. “Kurt, you had no business coming out last week and putting your hands on Joseph and Drew. You had no business coming out after I beat five Superstars at The Bash and getting in my face. You had no business returning to the WWE. You are not strong like we are. You are a weak, weak man and I promise you that I will prove this to the WWE Universe. I hear that you're going to be at the arena tonight and I'll be waiting for your arrival. Kurt...it's clobbering time.” Punk's theme hits again as he and Straight Edge Society exit the ring.
- ===Commercial Break===
- The Miz def. JTG >> JTG hasn't done much since former partner Shad Gaspard was released and tonight he was fed to the red-hot 2010 King of the Ring. The Miz performed a majority of the offense here and finished it with the Skull Crushing Finale.
- The Miz gets to his feet and grabs a microphone. He says that once again, he could be facing CM Punk for the WWE Title and he doesn't appreciate that the focus, at least for tonight, is on Punk. “I am the WWE's most must-see Superstar of all time. I won the 2010 King of the Ring, I beat the guy who is the current WWE Champion at The Bash, but I'm not getting the respect that I deserve. I will be out here on commentary for the main event tonight to see who exactly my opponent will be, but it doesn't matter. On August 15th, I will be the WWE Champion because I'm the Miz and I'm...Awesome.”
- Backstage, Ashley Valance is standing by with the United States Champion Jack Swagger, who is with Women's Champion Gail Kim and William Regal. Ashley asks Swagger for his thoughts on Tyler Black being the number one contender for his title. Swagger replies by saying that he beat Tyler Black for the title back in April and he'll retain it against him whenever he does get his shot. “However Ashley, you should be asking me about my match at SummerSlam. Myself and Mexico's greatest Alberto Del Rio will show Kofi Kingston and Jeff Hardy that we truly are the best in the world at what we do.”
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, a short video package is shown of the history between AJ Lee and her former mentor, Gail Kim. It all comes to a head at SummerSlam when they meet for the Women's Championship.
- Non-Title Match: Women's Champion Gail Kim w/ William Regal def. Kelly Kelly >> A solid Divas match tonight as Kelly Kelly has improved a lot in the ring. The Women's Champion and Best in the World member Gail Kim proved to be too much for her though and Kelly was down for the count after the Eat Defeat.
- William Regal enters the ring and hands Gail Kim the Women's Title, which she raises high in the air. Her celebration is cut short by the theme of the number one contender, AJ Lee. She walks out to the stage to cheers from the fans and she has a microphone in hand. “Gail, as you know better than anybody, I've wanted to be a WWE Diva since I was a young girl. I sat high in the nosebleeds during WrestleMania XX and I knew that one day I'd be competing for the Women's Title. I made it to the WWE and you took me under your wing and I was so grateful because you are an amazing competitor and you were a great mentor. But then I earned my first title shot by beating you and you got jealous. You ruined my dream of being Women's Champion at Extreme Rules and believe me Gail, at SummerSlam, I will make my dream come true.”
- A graphic is shown for the main event where CM Punk gets his rematch against Christian for the WWE Championship.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, Christian is shown arriving at the arena when Ashley Valance walks up to him to inform him of his rematch with CM Punk tonight. Christian says that he's fine with it as he knew the rematch was coming but he's still going to have the Peep Show tonight.
- Randy Orton def. Rey Mysterio >> A very good first hour main event between two of the WWE's best veterans. These two had a rivalry earlier this year that really sent Randy Orton off of the deep end that he's at now. Rey Mysterio picked up numerous near falls but Orton was as resilient as ever. After connecting with the 619, Mysterio signaled for his springboard splash but Orton moved out of the way. Once Rey got up, he was met with an RKO to end it.
- Randy Orton gets to his feet as the crowd boos, but they change to cheers when Shelton Benjamin appears on screen. The Gold Standard gets Randy's attention and says that he's at home in South Carolina recovering from being punted in the skull two weeks ago. “The whole reason this thing between us started Randy was because you kicked Charlie Haas in the head. Then, last week, you have the audacity to try it again. This issue with us needs to end Randy. You beat me at King of the Ring and I beat you two weeks ago on Smackdown. We need to break this tie so Stephanie McMahon has informed me of a match that she made for SummerSlam. You and I, one more time, in a Street Fight!” The crowd cheers and Randy Orton gets a sadistic look on his face. Shelton ends with “I see that look on your face and I know that you love matches with no rules, but it is you who needs to be worried on August 15th because I'm coming to end the Viper.” Benjamin's theme plays as the crowd is pumped.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo is shown for Raw this Monday. Before their huge tag team match at SummerSlam, Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston will team up on Raw. They will take on World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and Ezekiel Jackson! Plus, John Cena will step into the ring with Alberto Del Rio!
- Cutting back to the arena, the ring is set up for the Peep Show as the crowd anxiously awaits the arrival of the new WWE Champion. “Just Close Your Eyes” hits as Christian walks out to the stage to a huge ovation! He soaks in the reaction and walks down to the ring, clearly on the verge of tears. Fireworks shoot off as Christian's celebration is in full effect. Christian goes to speak but is unable to as the crowd continues to chant his name. He finally gets to speak and thanks the WWE Universe for their support during his run to the title. “The Peeps have never given up on me, even when things looked bleakest.” Christian says that he's not out here to take up too much time because he knows that the fans want to get right back to the action they love on Smackdown but he wants to promise that he will be a fighting Champion. “Just because it took me a long time to win this, doesn't mean I'm going to duck challengers. Whether it's CM Punk tonight, The Miz at SummerSlam or anybody else down the line, I will prove that I deserve this title.” Christian's theme plays again as the WWE Champion got to have his moment in the middle of the ring and he heads out.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, a recap is shown of Christian's WWE Championship celebration and the adoration that the crowd showed him.
- The theme of the United States Champion hits as Jack Swagger walks down to the ring without William Regal and Gail Kim surprisingly. He goes to ringside and gets on commentary.
- Cody Rhodes def. Tyler Black >> So far, this is the match of the night as two guys with very bright futures on Friday nights went at it. They were given a good amount of time and made the most of it. Tyler Black is known for being an outstanding high flier, but Cody Rhodes surprised many by matching him with high flying moves of his own. Black climbed to the top, setting up for the Phoenix Splash, but Jack Swagger stood up at the announce table and Black got distracted. This allowed Rhodes to hit a springboard kick, followed by a muscle buster to seal the win.
- The crowd boos as Cody Rhodes has defeated the number one contender to the United States Championship. As Cody exits with a smug look, Jack Swagger rolls into the ring and picks up Tyler Black. He shouts that he will never be Champion again and drops him with a Gutwrench Powerbomb. Jack Swagger once again gets the best of Tyler Black.
- A graphic is shown again for tonight's main event where Christian defends his newly won WWE Title against former Champion CM Punk.
- Kurt Angle is shown arriving at the arena as the crowd pops loudly. One has to wonder what will happen between him and CM Punk tonight.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Ashley Valance walks up to Kurt Angle and asks for his thoughts on CM Punk's comments earlier tonight. Kurt says that he wants CM Punk to know that when he came back, he intended to be the WWE Champion and, at the time, CM Punk was the champion. He still wants to be Champion, and will be looking for a shot at Christian, but right now, his focus is on CM Punk.
- The Straight Edge Society w/ Serena Mancini def. Brian Kendrick & Paul London and The Jung Dragons w/ Jamie Noble >> A bout between the three top tag teams on Smackdown not named the Dudebusters and it was a solid one. The match featured action right from the beginning, and, after a relatively even match, Drew Gallows hit Yoshi Tatsu with the Gallows Pole to win it.
- The audience boos as Drew Gallows and Joseph Matthews celebrate their win alongside Serena Mancini. You have to get the feeling that the Straight Edge Society are coming for the Tag Team Titles soon. CM Punk begins to make his way to the ring to join his stablemates as the WWE Championship match is next!
- ===Commercial Break===
- WWE Championship: Christian [c] def. CM Punk w/ The Straight Edge Society >> Just like last week, the Smackdown viewers were treated to a great match between these two, but it was different. CM Punk was the more aggressive guy this week as his back was against the wall. Christian played a more defensive game and it suited him well. Punk got a few near falls, but Christian was still his resilient self. Punk eventually got Christian up for the Go 2 Sleep, but Christian wriggled free and hit the Unprettier. He covered but Drew Gallows pulled the referee out of the ring. The official was upset and tossed the SES from ringside. Christian watched this happen as the crowd roared, allowing CM Punk to roll him up only for Christian to roll through and end up rolling up Punk for the win!
- CM Punk is stunned as the crowd cheers loudly for Christian successfully retaining the WWE Championship. Captain Charisma rolls outside and retrieves his belt and CM Punk is no livid in the ring. Kurt Angle's theme kicks in as the crowd's pop grows louder. He comes to the stage with a microphone. “Congratulations Christian, that was one hell of a match, but if you don't mind, I have something to say to CM Punk. I was just in the back with Stephanie McMahon and, since you aren't the WWE Champion, you will not be facing The Miz at SummerSlam, which means you'll be free. Free to go one on one with me.” The crowd gets even louder as a blockbuster match has been added to SummerSlam. The cameras catch Christian as he looks on, when The Miz sneaks in from the crowd and plants him with the Skull Crushing Finale! The King of the Ring picks up the WWE Title and holds it high in the air as the show closes.

great stuff coming from your diary, I haven't commented on your stuff, but it's nice to see Christian as the WWE Champion, hopefully he can retain the championship over The Miz at Summerslam, it would be nice to see Miz as WWE Champion cause he was getting much fanfare at the time of this year. Angle vs Punk at Summerslam is going to be epic, no doubt about it. As for all the matches. Cena vs Jericho at Summerslam should be a good one as well, even Sheamus vs Edge, I see Sheamus taking the win here since he's taken out both The Undertaker and Batista. But it would be nice to see The Undertaker return and continue his feud with Sheamus. I Wish there was a Sheamus/Taker feud, but ohhh well. Can't wait for Summerslam
Note: Summerslam 1994 is up now,

- Good to see you pull the trigger and use Christian as a top champ in 2010. He was so ready! - Excited to see the return of Angle - I hope you flesh out his Punk feud and it a gritty story and use Kurt's real life issues - Miz another who was red-hot in 2010, good to see him get a push despite missing the MITB to Kofi. - AJ as a contender in 2010?! Interesting. I like the story behind the match as well. - Orton is hot, Rey is not. Correct decision there, builds Orton's momentum - Shelton still being around and relevant is great. He's a great superstar to put against a bigger star, and little soundbites like you gave him are the way to use him on the mic where he is weak - Decent enough promo from Christian, good bit of self-promotion but worry he'll be lost amongst the starpower on the brand if he doesn't get a moment like this every week - Black/Rhodes would be a stellar bout for TV. Post-match is basic build that makes both look good, I like it - Triangle tag team match, you're spoiling us! Surely the SES get a shot at the titles soon after this? Would like to see it - Gallows was underrated imo, push him - Great TV title match main event - the even finish keeps both looking good. Miz looks strong in the aftermath as well
Solid show, but what else should we expect from you?!

Smack Down snuck up on me...
Punk/Angle is building well. Punk getting a rematch is risky.
Your SummerSlam card is very strong, has lot of potential.
Orton and Benjamin has a good story behind it but at the minute Benjamin maybe need restablishing. Rhodes is on the rise and Black/Swagger continues. SES become number 1 contenders. This all filled up the middle of the show well.
Christian retains the title but via roll up which makes it seem quite lucky. Christian is not as over as Punk and Angle. I would possibly use Angle interrupting Christian as a reason for them to feud down the line. Strong Smack Down.
Can't wait for SummerSlam!

August 9th, 2010 | ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California | Attendance: 14, 317
- The opening video package plays, followed by the weekly Raw intro video. Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome the WWE Universe to tonight's big episode of Monday Night Raw and they remind everyone that SummerSlam is just six days away. Tonight, Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston will team up for the first time before they do so at SummerSlam as they take on Chris Jericho and Ezekiel Jackson of the Best in the World. Also, for the first time ever, Alberto Del Rio will face John Cena!
- Chris Jericho's theme hits as the crowd boos the arrival of the Best in the World. They make their way down to the ring, all in suits, and Jericho grabs a microphone once they enter the ring. He begins to speak about this Sunday, where he says that he unfairly has to once again beat John Cena. “I proved that John Cena wasn't in my league when I beat him at Backlash and when I beat him at King of the Ring. If that's not bad enough, I find out that I'll be in a tag team match tonight.” He puts over Ezekiel Jackson, calling him an imposing partner, but says that he should be allowed to rest heading into SummerSlam. “So in fairness, I demanded that John Cena also have to compete tonight and he'll be going against the very best that Mexico has to offer, Alberto Del Rio.” Del Rio takes the microphone and begins to talk. “When I arrived in the WWE this past May, I ran a former WWE Champion out of the company and instantly proved that I am Mexico's greatest export. People keep saying that I ruined Kofi Kingston's shining moment when I stopped him from cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase. You people don't get it. I was doing that for you. The World Heavyweight Champion that we all deserve is someone like Chris Jericho. Kofi Kingston as World Heavyweight Champion would have been a travesty.”
- John Cena's music plays as the crowd cheers and he steps out to the stage. He says that Alberto Del Rio is wrong for what he just said about Kofi Kingston. He doesn't think that Kofi as World Heavyweight Champion would've been a travesty but because of Del Rio, we'll never know. John says that he loves the idea of a guy like Kofi breaking the glass ceiling and earning a title shot but Del Rio took that from him. “That's something that has bugged me since it happened the night after King of the Ring. You took away a special moment from a talented superstar like Kofi Kingston.” John brings out Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston to the stage with him. He says that the three of them have all had their issues with the Best in the World, for different reasons. “We're already tired of you guys and tonight and at SummerSlam, we're going to do everything we can to take you out. However, there is a special event coming up shortly after SummerSlam called Raw 900. We challenge the Best in the World to a five on five tag team match!” The crowd cheers but Jericho interjects, calling Cena an idiot because there's only three of them. Jeff Hardy speaks now, saying that if they accept, he's sure they can find partners who hate the Best in the World as much as they do. Jericho thinks about it and accepts, saying that the they will continue to show that they are the Best in the World. John Cena ends it by saying that Jericho might not even be the Champion of the World come August 30th.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A recap is shown of the opening segment. The Best in the World bragged about their success until John Cena, Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston interrupted them and challenged them to a huge five on five elimination match at the historic Raw 900 event!
- In the back, the Best in the World is shown in their locker room discussing the Raw 900 challenge. Drew McIntyre says that they have nothing to worry about. They banded together because literally, nobody in the world is better than them. They will prove it tonight, at SummerSlam, at Raw 900 and every night from here on out. Chris Jericho seems to appreciate Drew stepping up here.
- Sheamus def. Joe Hennig >> With Kofi Kingston appearing on ECW tomorrow to face Drew McIntyre, ECW sent Joe Hennig to appear on Raw for one night. Hennig probably isn't too pleased though as he ran into the red hot Sheamus. The former Television Champion put up a surprisingly good fight, but fell victim to the Celtic Cross.
- The audience boos as the “Celtic Warrior” wins another one and picks up steam heading into his big clash with the “Rated R Superstar” at SummerSlam. Edge is off tonight to finish resting up his injury, but Sheamus continues to dominate.
- In the back, John “Bradshaw” Layfield is shown in his office when LayCool enters. Michelle McCool complains about having to defend her title against Mickie James recently and says that neither Piggy James nor the awful smelling Tiffany should be anywhere near the Divas Championship. Layfield says that it's unfortunate that she feels that way because tonight, LayCool will be teaming up against James and Tiffany. LayCool get disgusted looks on their faces and exit after saying “whatever” together.
- A graphic is shown for tonight's main event pitting John Cena against the Mexican Aristocrat, Alberto Del Rio!
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, a video package plays showing highlights of Batista. After about thirty seconds, the words “The Animal Returns” appear on the screen, followed by “Raw 900”.
- In the back, Dolph Ziggler is talking with Melina and he's bragging about himself and telling her about his Intercontinental Title. Carlito walks by and seems annoyed by Dolph, who notices this. He tells Carlito that if he has something to say, he should say it. Carlito says, “You know what? I do have something to say. The way you walk around here and brag about how good you are and stealing the show...I don't like it. And you know what? That's not cool.” The crowd pops for this as Carlito hasn't used that phrase in a long time. Dolph tells him to get used to it and Carlito challenges him to a match tonight. Dolph accepts to impress Melina.
- Evan Bourne w/ Justin Angel def. Curt Hawkins w/ The Dudebusters >> The AirBourne Angels continue to be a thorn in the side of the WWE Tag Team Champions, as they have come close to winning the belts twice already. After beating the former Champions, the Hart Trilogy last week, the Angels are back in contention. Tonight, Evan Bourne helped their cause by beating one third of the current Champions, with the AirBourne.
- The Dudebusters rush into the ring, so Evan Bourne quickly scrambles out of the ring and up the ramp with Justin Angel. The WWE Universe's favorite high flying tag team continues to push towards another WWE Tag Team Title shot and the Dudebusters should be worried.
- Backstage, Chris Jericho and Ezekiel Jackson are shown walking towards the arena because they face Kofi Kingston and Jeff Hardy, next!
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo for tomorrow's ECW is shown. One of Raw's hottest Superstars, Kofi Kingston, returns to the place where he made his debut as he faces Drew McIntyre!
- Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston def. World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and Ezekiel Jackson w/ Gail Kim >> Kofi Kingston and Jeff Hardy showed fantastic chemistry in their first ever tag team match, while Ezekiel Jackson and Chris Jericho proved to be a tough heel team. They cut the ring in half on Kingston but he eventually made the hot tag and Hardy came in, blowing the roof off of the arena. He was on fire and set up Jericho for the Swanton Bomb, but Jackson knocked him off the top. Kingston pulled Jackson off the apron and hit him with Trouble in Paradise. Jericho noticed that Jeff was down and attempted to put him in the Walls of Jericho, but Jeff pulled him into a small package for the win.
- The WWE Universe explodes as Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston not only pick up a win, but Jeff pins the World Heavyweight Champion! They head up the ramp while Ezekiel Jackson, Gail Kim and Chris Jericho are fuming in the ring. Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger are sure to be a little worried that Kofi and Jeff win one before SummerSlam.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo airs for Friday Night Smackdown. After retaining his WWE Championship last week, Christian was attacked by number one contender, The Miz. On the final Smackdown before SummerSlam, Christian teams with a returning Shelton Benjamin to face The Miz and Randy Orton!
- Returning, Ashley Valance is standing by with Ted Dibiase Jr. She asks him for his thoughts on being the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship. Ted says that he's never been more ready for something like this. He won the Intercontinental Title once before, but he's never prepared himself like he has been recently. He says that Dolph’s reign will end when he gets his shot.
- LayCool def. Mickie James and Tiffany >> Your typical Divas tag team match here as LayCool continue to shine as heels and Tiffany continues to show vast improvement. Mickie James was her usual great self and, despite being close to winning, Layla rolled up Tiffany with a handful of tights to steal the win.
- Layla rolls out of the ring, meeting up with Michelle McCool, who has already grabbed her Divas Championship. They call Tiffany and Mickie James losers as the faces look on from the ring as this is far from over.
- Backstage, John Cena is shown preparing for the main event when Kofi Kingston walks up to him. Kofi says that he's faced Alberto Del Rio more than anyone else in the WWE so far, so he would like to let Cena in on some information. Cena appreciates it and they sit down to discuss this when the lights go out in the room. Suddenly, the sound of an attack is heard and multiple voices can be heard. The lights come back on and Ezekiel Jackson, Drew McIntyre and Jack Swagger had taken out Cena and Kofi in the back. What does this mean for the main event?
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning to Raw, a recap is shown of the attack just now and one has to wonder if John Cena will be able to compete against Alberto Del Rio tonight.
- Non-Title Match: Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler def. Carlito >> Carlito got a big pop as he came out with his trademark apple again and worked the match as a face. He used some of his old athletic moves and came close to beating the Intercontinental Champion on several occasions. In the middle of the match, Ted Dibiase Jr. was shown watching on a monitor. The finish came when Carlito missed a springboard moonsault and Dolph nailed him with the Zig Zag once he got up.
- Dolph Ziggler gets booed by the WWE Universe as he leaves with his Intercontinental Title, but he clutches it close to his chest as Carlito came close to besting him tonight. Carlito stood up and got a standing ovation from the fans for his efforts in a match that stole the show tonight.
- Cutting to the back once more, John Cena is being looked at by doctors when JBL arrives. He wants to know if Cena will be able to compete and Cena responds by saying that he's never backed down before and tonight will be no different.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo is shown for Raw 900, airing live on August 30th from Boston, Massachusetts!
- John Cena def. Alberto Del Rio via disqualification >> A very solid main event to close out Raw tonight. Surprisingly, Alberto Del Rio came to the ring by himself. He focused on John Cena's arm as he was clearly setting up for the Cross Armbreaker. He finally managed to get it locked on, but John Cena is not one known for tapping out. He powers out of the move and slams Del Rio to the mat. Cena signals for the Attitude Adjustment but Chris Jericho runs out to the ring with a steel chair and levels Cena in the back causing the disqualification.
- Chris Jericho continues to wail on John Cena's arm and back with the chair until Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston run down. They are quickly followed by the rest of the Best in the World though. Jeff Hardy dropkicks Jericho out of the ring, while Kofi picks up the chair and levels Jack Swagger once he enters the ring. This makes Alberto Del Rio stop in his tracks and Jericho tells his guys to stay back for now. Swagger rolls out of the ring and Jericho tells his guys to save it for Sunday. Kofi and Jeff check on Cena, but the Best in the World is saving the fight for this Sunday.

8/10/2010 Edition- The WWE is planning on making Raw 900 into a huge episode of Raw. Not only will it be three hours and feature all of the brands but a big five on five main event has already been announced. Expect another big tag team match, a Tag Team Title match, a mid card title and maybe even a female title match.
- As announced on Raw last night, Batista will be returning at Raw 900. He is still not medically cleared to wrestle, but expect to him to confront Sheamus regardless.
- The Scramble Match will be returning at the Breaking Point Pay-Per-View. All three titles will be defended in that match type and expect the Best in the World to be represented in each match.
- Officials are very high on Cody Rhodes. They feel that his singles run has been very impressive and expect him to get involved in a United States Title program somewhere down the line.
