Because I am a good sport, I am doing this. Although you hate my diary and worship Ryan's like he is God. #EmbraceTheHate. Congratulations on 100 pages, Kevin, as I have been waiting to be the one to get you to the century mark.
Your diary was the first thing I read when I came onto wfigs and now I am just a short while away from joining you in the 100 page club. It is grand company to soon be a part of.

Congratulations on getting to 100 pages it's a mental achievement.
A lot of time, effort and love has gone into this. To be fair others may get to 100 pages but to do it at such a high quality like you and AJ has almost done may not be done again.

I'm not exactly completely caught up on your feuds, but I just skimmed through the last few pages, so I'm willing to give this a shot
Let me just say, the Inception poster idea is awesome. Realistic too by going with a movie that was very popular during that time. I love the stable you have going for Jericho and I could see it working in that day and age of WWE easily, surprising that it actually never happened. The SummerSlam card looks very good. Orton/Benjamin and Angle/Punk are two matches that could steal the show on any card, so I'm excited to see where those go. I wish I could give more input, but I haven't really been following. You have a full time reader after SummerSlam.

Jesus, Kev. 100 pages. What an achievement. Congratulations, if any diary deserves the honor, it's this one.
Onto RAW, a great promo from Best in the World to kick things off. A lot of emphasis on Kofi Kingston's potential as World Heavyweight Champion. I sort of believe that him winning the title is the endgame for this storyline. Like the matches set for tonight, as well as the Five-on-Five tag match at RAW 900. Not the most exciting of opening contests. It served its purpose, though, further building Sheamus for his match against Edge at SummerSlam. Good to see that Batista will be returning at RAW 900. I would assume that he will be going into a program with Sheamus upon returning, but I would like to see you take on Heeltista. Good win for Evan Bourne to give the Airbourne Angels a bit of steam. Despite their rising popularity, I still see the Straight Edge Society being the ones to take the WWE Tag Team Championships from The Dudebusters. Huge first hour main event with a surprising result. Jeff Hardy pinning Chris Jericho is big and makes me believe that he will be getting the title opportunity after SummerSlam if Y2J remains the champion. Ted DiBiase versus Dolph Ziggler sounds like it could be a fun Intercontinental Championship program. Looking forward to it. LayCool <3 Always good to see them get a victory. McCool will probably be dropping the Divas Championship soon to Mickie James, though. At least that's how I see things unfolding. Expected victory for Dolph Ziggler here. I can't see Carlito doing anything noteworthy going forward. As I said before, Ziggler's upcoming rivalry with Ted DiBiase should be great. Lastly, a good main event between John Cena and Alberto Del Rio. The disqualification finish was expected to keep both guys safe. Liked the aftermath with everyone saving the fight for SummerSlam. A good RAW overall. Looking forward to the coming shows leading into SummerSlam.

August 10th, 2010 | HP Pavilion in San Jose, California | Attendance: 17,526
- “Don't Question My Heart” by Saliva plays over the opening video package before Joey Styles and Byron Saxton welcome the WWE Universe tonight's edition of ECW. Arguably Raw's hottest Superstar, Kofi Kingston will be visiting tonight to face Drew McIntyre of the “Best in the World”!
- Despite Theodore Long telling Abraham Washington that there is no time for the Abraham Washington Show, the ring is set up for it as Aksana introduces the man himself. Washington steps through the curtain to a chorus of boos but he's very happy as always. He gets in the ring and says that no matter what Teddy Long thinks, he knows that the fans come to ECW so they can see the Abraham Washington Show. This statement is met with boos from the crowd that Abraham ignores. He tells them to change that tone because his guest tonight is someone that they love. He says that his guest is none other than the ECW Champion, Bryan Danielson! The crowd pops as Danielson arrives on the scene and enters the ring. Before Washington can even ask him a question, Danielson stops him. “Last time I was on your show, you asked asinine questions and tried to embarrass me. I'm not here for that tonight. I'm here to tell the entire world that no matter how insurmountable the odds at SummerSlam may seem, he plans on walking out of Los Angeles with the ECW Title. He's fought his whole life to be successful at this level and the ECW Title signifies that, so there's no way that he's letting go of the title anytime soon. “ Washington says that's all fine and well because Danielson is not his only guest tonight. He introduces Wade Barrett who gets booed the entire way down to the ring. Barrett gets right in Danielson's face. “ You may be all about keeping the title that you worked your whole life for, but I'm here to tell you that you will not stop the Barrett Barrage. Joe Hennig couldn't stop me. Teddy Long couldn't stop me. Hell, not even John Cena could stop me.” Barrett continues to go on about his accomplishments and the fact that his hostile takeover of ECW won't be complete until he wears the belt.
- John Morrison's theme cuts Wade off as the “Shaman of Sexy” comes out and joins them in the ring. Washington shouts that he didn't invite Morrison out here, but Morrison tells him to shut up. He admits that in a match with a guy who is red hot like Wade Barrett, a monster of a man like Ezekiel Jackson and the ECW Champion himself; he comes off as the forgotten man. “People don't seem to be giving me a chance but they seem to forget that I'm a former ECW Champion. I beat CM Punk back in 2007 to win that title and kick of the Tuesday Night Delight era. Yes, I moved to other shows through the drafts but I'm back and I am looking to be at the top of Tuesday nights again.” Wade Barrett tells Morrison to shut up because it's not 2007 anymore. He says that in 2010, nobody is better than Wade Barrett. Danielson interjects and holds up the ECW Title saying that the belt makes him better than both of them in 2010. Ezekiel Jackson's music hits as the former ECW Champion walks down to the ring. Once he gets in though, he doesn't speak. He just levels Danielson and a big brawl breaks out between the four men. Danielson and Jackson fight to the outside while Morrison and Barrett stay in the ring. Barrett charges at Morrison, who ducks and sends him over the top and into the fray with the other two. Morrison bounces off the ropes and leaps to the outside, taking out all three of his SummerSlam opponents! Officials come down to break things up as Morrison gets back in the ring and celebrates with the hot crowd.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, ECW's resident superhero, the Hurricane is in the ring for our opening contest.
- The Hurricane def. Zack Ryder w/ Courtney >> The two popular superstars shook hands at the start of the match and put on a pretty good contest. Zack Ryder was the guy who ended the Hurricane's Television Title reign at the start of this year Midway through the match, Alex Riley walked down to ringside and had his eyes locked on Courtney. She didn't seem too pleased with this, which distracted Ryder. Riley backed off, but it was too late for Ryder to salvage the match as he fell to the Eye of the Hurricane.
- The Hurricane celebrates his win with his signature poses as Courtney enters the ring and checks on her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Alex Riley laughs at the top of the ramp.
- In the back, Ashley Valance is standing by with Paul Burchill and his sister, Katie Lea. She says that Paul requested this time and wants to know why. He says that recently, he had some issues with Kaval but it's time to move on. He wanted this time to let everyone know that he is not just going to go away after losing to Kaval. He's coming back for the top guys in ECW.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, a recap is shown of The Dudebusters beating Johnny Curtis and Derrick Bateman last week despite a strong effort. It then shows Curtis shocking many when he attacked his partner after the match.
- Johnny Curtis def. Val Venis >> Johnny Curtis' new attitude did not endear him to the fans of San Jose. He disrespected a veteran in Val Venis with slaps to the back of the head and a rake of the eyes. He did impress in the ring and seemed more comfortable as a heel as he put down Venis with a top rope leg drop.
- The audience boos as Johnny Curtis gets his arm raised in victory. He asks for a microphone and is handed one. “Since last week, everyone has been asking me about what I did to poor little Derrick Bateman. You see, Theodore Long offered us an opportunity to make an impact on ECW. However, after two matches I realized that Bateman is a weak little man and he would hold me back. I didn't waste any time and I handled that problem. Now, the men of the WWE Universe will see how good I am and the ladies will see how good I look.” He gets more heat as the announcers mention that Derrick Bateman is not here tonight but will be back next week.
- A graphic is shown for the main event pitting Drew McIntyre against Kofi Kingston!
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, Theodore Long is shown in his office when Abraham Washington enters. Long tells him that he had no right to put on the Abraham Washington Show without his permission. Washington responds by saying that he did what's best for ECW. The people wanted to see his show and it delivered tonight. Long hates to admit it but it was an exciting way to start ECW. He tells him that he can host another edition next week, but now the pressure is on to deliver big episodes.
- Chris Masters def. Primo >> Since splitting with his cousin Carlito a few months back on ECW, Primo has been able to find some success. Unfortunately tonight would not be successful as he ran into a guy with a lot of momentum in Chris Masters. Masters bested Kaval last week and was able to make Primo submit to the Masterlock tonight.
- Chris Masters begins to celebrate his victory but Kaval arrives on the scene to the crowd's liking. He runs into the ring and nails Masters with a huge knee to the face. Kaval climbs to the top and goes for the Warrior's Way but Masters rolls out of the ring and retreats. Kaval dares him to get back into the ring but Masters saves the fight for another day.
- In the back, Courtney is shown walking the halls when Alex Riley comes up to her. He tries to flirt and Courtney says that she's not interested. Riley mentions how she couldn't keep her eyes off of him last week. She claims that it was only because she's never been so repulsed by someone in her life. She storms off but Riley says “yea, she digs me” before he exits.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo for Friday Night Smackdown is shown. The number one contender for the WWE Championship, The Miz teams with the “Viper” Randy Orton to square off against the WWE Champion Christian and a returning Shelton Benjamin! Plus, just two days before their match at SummerSlam, Kurt Angle and CM Punk come face to face!
- Kofi Kingston def. Drew McIntyre via disqualification >> The fans tonight were treated to an excellent main event. Both of these guys clearly have a bright future ahead of them and it showed tonight. Drew McIntyre was suspiciously alone tonight which allowed Kofi Kingston to focus solely on him. McIntyre managed to hit the Future Shock near the end but was too hurt to cover instantly and Kofi was able to get his foot on the bottom rope. Shortly after, Kingston connected with Trouble in Paradise but before he could cover, Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio ran out and attacked him.
- The referee continues to call for the bell as Joey Styles shouts that Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger were not invited to ECW like Kofi Kingston was. The three of them take turns beating down on Kofi with the Future Shock, Gutwrench Powerbomb and then the Cross Armbreaker. With no Jeff Hardy in the building, Kofi Kingston is all alone. The three members of the “Best in the World” stand over the fallen Kofi Kingston to close ECW.

Good start to ECW with the Abraham Washington Show breaking down with all of the ECW Championship match competitors. Was expected with all of them coming out. Decent opening contest that could possibly have been better had it been a cheap heel victory rather than for a face than The Hurricane. Progresses Alex Riley chasing his girl, though, which was the whole purpose. Good victory for Johnny Curtis over Val Venis. Obviously he was going to win coming off of his heel turn and it being The Big Valbowski. Good victory for Chris Masters here and Kaval attacking him will certainly lead up to another match between the two... Yeah, she digs A-Ry. She wants the A-Ry's A-Rod. Finally, a good main event that set up the tag match at Summerslam well with Kofi Kingston being screwed against the Best in the World members. An overall solid edition of ECW.

Your doing an awesome job getting Kofi Kingston over!!
I see Kofi as a lower card talent, modern day Koko B. Ware. Never saw anything in him but here in your diary it's true when you say he's the hottest star in the WWE today. Like someone else said this has to lead to Kofi winning the title at some point.
ECW was a decent show not as strong on the whole as some recent shows but it had a hot Main Event to make up for that. Opening segment was not my cup of tea not my style but would have worked for people who like the everyone talks segments. Think Bryan retains at the PPV, nice final attempt to try and make Morrison look like a threat.
Heel friendly in the middle of the show with Riley, Masters, Curtis and Burchill getting shine.
Think Kofi should have picked up the win but the aftermath was great and while it builds heat on BITW it also enhances Kofi. Can't give you enough credit for getting Kofi over with me.

Good opening promo. This show is stacked and you started off strong with a promo featuring lots of main event talent. Like that you're making a big deal of an anniversary episode, too. Good win for Sheamus as he builds momentum. Surprised he was overlooked for the stable, but not complaining. Like LayCool's seg with JBL.. Good to see Batista making a comeback. Surely Dudebusters have had their run? Feels like they've been champs forever. Woah massive win for Hardy and Kingston!! The finish keeps everyone strong but massive momentum built here. I like LayCool winning, Michelle is champ and need to look strong. Good attack that makes the main event interesting. Carlito is an excellent worker who could play both roles, good to see him getting a shot. Weird to see JBL concerned about Cena. Decent way to close the show with Del Rio losing out via DQ. He's been booked well since his debut an tonight was no different. Good post match antics that leaves the playing field relatively level on the go home show. Good show, well booked, keep it up! Can I just say as well what a good job you are doing with Kofi? Despite losing the cash in he still looks like a real player, well done. (Sorry it's not to ECW, figured RAW was more deserving haha)

Great edition of the Abraham Washington Show to kick things off on ECW. The four participants in the ECW Championship match at SummerSlam getting promo time was the right way to go to serve as the final piece of build for the match. John Morrison getting the upper hand was fine because, as you put it, he is the forgotten man in the match. The Hurricane versus Zack Ryder made for a solid opening contest. Alex Riley's inclusion was fine to continue the feud that he and Ryder have going. Would love to see Courtney end up as Riley's manager. I mean, you would be copying my Riley and Alexa Bliss pairing, but still. I 'd like to see it. Ashley Valance <3 So hot, want to touch the hiney. I can't see Paul Burchill doing much now, despite his strong presence at the beginning of this diary. Good victory for Johnny Curtis to further establish himself. I'm really excited for his upcoming feud with Derrick Bateman. Poor Primo. Getting squashed by Chris Masters and whatnot. Liked Kaval's post-match involvement. More Riley and Courtney stuff, good. Lastly, a great main event between Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre. The DQ finish was acceptable as it promoted the tag team match for SummerSlam. Great ECW overall.

First off, congratulations on making it to 100 pages. It's quite a feat. You've put a lot of time, effort, thought and love into making this one memorable diary.
With that out of the way, onto the catch-up.
Friday Night SmackDown Obvious way to start off the show with CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society. Despite the Best in the World's fixture on all three brands, the SES carry itself as SmackDown's top heel faction. They make it clear that they are going to bounce back from the setbacks encountered last week, namely Punk regaining the WWE Championship from Christian. We'll just have to wait until later and see what happens. The Miz over JTG is a no-brainer. The former Cryme Tyme member hasn't done much since coming to SmackDown. It may be time to cut him loose. Anyway, Miz builds up momentum going into his WWE Championship match at SummerSlam. You've done an impressive job building up the Miz since he arrived on SmackDown. So-so interview with United States Champion Jack Swagger. I say that because he just talks about the Best in the World's tag team match against Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston and his continuing feud with Tyler Black. Just basic stuff there. Figured Gail Kim would win over Kelly Kelly. She needs to look strong as she prepares to defend her Women's Championship against AJ Lee. Speaking of Lee, great promo by her following the match. That's going to be a match to look forward to. WWE Champion Christian pulling double-duty tonight with a title defense and the Peep Show. Score! Randy Orton defeating Rey Mysterio is fine. Mysterio doesn't have anything really going for him at the moment. While Randy will have his hands full with Shelton Benjamin in a Street Fight at SummerSlam. I'm guessing this will be the big blow-off match to their rivalry. Much like you've done with Miz, you've done an incredible job of building Benjamin up as a main event guy. I could definitely see him coming out on top over Orton. Excellent match with Black and Cody Rhodes. With Swagger making an appearance, I figured he'd get involved somehow. Rhodes continues rising up the ladder with a victory over a former United States Champion. The beatdown by Swagger onto Black after the match really adds fuel to this rivalry. Like I said, this one could go either way. Kurt Angle makes his intentions clear that he plans on being WWE Champion once again. But first, he wants to take care of Punk. The SES get the victory over Londrick and the Jung Dragons to make their intentions for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championships clear. You have the Airbourne Angels on RAW and the SES on SmackDown being built up as possible contenders for the Dudebusters. Perhaps a triple threat match at a future pay-per-view? In the main event, Christian retains the WWE Championship, thus making his match against the Miz at SummerSlam official. Speaking of the Miz, he lays out Christian at the end of the show and appears dominant. That's good as it makes it appear he has a chance to dethrone Christian. Meanwhile, Angle tells Punk that they'll be facing each other at SummerSlam. It was going to happen, but it's now official. Great episode of SmackDown. You've announced two possible show-stealing matches at SummerSlam.
Monday Night RAW Good way to open the show with the Best in the World making an appearance. On the last episode of RAW before SummerSlam, we get a main event featuring John Cena taking on Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio has done a lot in a short while since coming to the WWE. He's already retired Montel Vontavious Porter, who is a former WWE Champion, and cost Kofi Kingston his chance of becoming World Heavyweight Champion. Cena makes an appearance and, along with Kingston and Jeff Hardy, challenge Best in the World to a five-on-five tag team match at RAW 900. Cena, Hardy and Kingston will have to find two more partners to make it an even playing field though. In the opening match of the night, we have Sheamus winning over ECW star Joe Hennig. With RAW star Kingston appearing on this week's ECW on Sci-Fi, I guess it makes sense to have one of ECW's brightest stars on RAW. But it has Sheamus looking strong going into his match with Edge at SummerSlam. Backstage, we get news that the LayCool/Tiffany/Mickie James saga revolving around the Diva's Championship will see action tonight in the form of a tag team match. Batista to return at RAW 900? Groovy! It will be interesting on how he gets back into the swing of things on RAW. We get another preview for a match with a confrontation between Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and Carlito. A Carlito face turn? To borrow a phrase from Carlito, that's cool! Like I said on my SmackDown review, it looks like the Straight Edge Society is gaining momentum on the blue brand for a shot at the Dudebusters' Unified WWE Tag Team Championships. Meanwhile, the Airbourne Angels are doing the same on RAW. That is made clear with Evan Bourne getting the win over Curt Hawkins. A little preview of SummerSlam with Hardy and Kingston taking on World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and Ezekiel Jackson. Nice to have Hardy and Kingston getting the win in this one. Good interview with Ted Dibiase Jr. talking about wanting to end Ziggler's Intercontinental Championship reign. Good result with LayCool winning in their match against Tiffany and James. It certainly builds up the heels in this case and makes the fans just want to see them get what's coming to them. Oh no! An attack on Cena and Kingston in the back by Best in the World. It's getting serious. Great match with Carlito and Ziggler. Good result with Ziggler getting the victory. Loved the post match love Carlito got from the fans. I'm really into the idea of Carlito being a face again. He's a character that can pull it off either way. Good job on that. Finally, the main event. Cena is toughing it out like he usually does to take on Del Rio. Great way to end the show as Jericho comes out to attack Cena, leading to a disqualification. Kingston, Hardy and the rest of Best in the World come out. But this time, Cena, Hardy and Kingston stand tall having fended the heels off. Certainly makes the matches involving these competitors that much more important. Great edition of RAW.
ECW on Sci-Fi We open the show with the Abraham Washington Show with special guests ECW Champion Bryan Danielson and Wade Barrett. Former ECW Champions John Morrison and Ezekiel Jackson crash the show and a big brawl breaks out. Love how you made Morrison stand out in this segment, especially with him laying out his three SummerSlam opponents. Up until this segment, Morrison almost seemed like an afterthought. Great job making him stand out again. Good opening match with the Hurricane and Zack Ryder. A nice throwback to their rivalry over the now defunct Television Championship, although they are both faces this time around. Good result as Alex Riley makes an appearance and throws Ryder off his game, allowing the Hurricane to get the win. Interesting interview with Paul Burchill and Katie Lea. Now that his feud with Kaval is over with, I wonder where he goes from here. Figured Johnny Curtis would win over Val Venis. Curtis is certainly being built up to be a big deal on ECW. Looking forward to seeing him shine. Looks like we'll be getting more Abraham Washington next week. Whoo! Chris Masters over Primo was the right call as Masters has more going for him right now. Nice to see Kaval make an appearance and attack Masters. It's a great way to bounce back after being laid out by Masters the past couple of weeks. Nice segment featuring Riley and Courtney. A little foreshadowing here perhaps. Lastly, we have the main event. RAW's Kofi Kingston makes an appearance against Drew McIntyre. A great match to end ECW, especially with Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio making an appearance and causing a disqualification. With no Jeff Hardy, Kingston doesn't stand a chance. It makes Best in the World look strong going into SummerSlam. Great ECW!
Once again, great job on making it to 100 pages in this diary. Looking forward to what you do next. Keep up the great work.

Welcome to the 100 Page Club, Kevstaa. Congratulations on making 100 dude. The work you've put on has been very thoughtful, I was looking at a lot of stuff when I first didn't log in here, and I saw all of the storylines you've planted with Kane returning in the mask, feuding with The Undertaker and winning the WWE Championship, I also loved a lot of things from RAW. ECW and SMACKDOWN from 2008 through 2010. This has been very awesome my man.

August 13th, 2010 | HP Pavilion in San Jose, California | Attendance: 17,526- The Smackdown opening video and pyro kick off the show before the camera pans around the arena. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker introduce the show as the final Smackdown before what is sure to be a huge SummerSlam. The WWE Champion Christian teams with the “Gold Standard” Shelton Benjamin to face The Miz and Randy Orton in a preview of SummerSlam!
- The theme of Olympic Gold Medalist and former multi-time WWE Champion, Kurt Angle hits as he makes his way to the ring to a big pop from the WWE Universe. As he walks to the ring a recap is shown of Kurt Angle informing CM Punk of their upcoming match at SummerSlam last week. Angle gets in the ring and grabs a microphone. He starts off by saying that he has never been ready than he is for SummerSlam. He knows that he's been away for a while but CM Punk will find out firsthand that he really is the greatest wrestler in the world. “Punk, you have the nerve to go out and constantly say that you are better than everyone because you're Straight Edge, and I commend you for being Straight Edge. But, it doesn't make you better than me. I came back with one goal and that was to win the WWE Championship so I targeted you. You lost the Championship to Christian, but you seem to still have a problem with me so I have no qualms with solving that problem for you this Sunday.” The crowd cheers as Kurt Angle seems more than ready for SummerSlam. He says that it is time to get down to business as he calls CM Punk out to the ring.
- CM Punk obliges as the Straight Edge Savior walks to the ring and he's surprisingly alone. He gets in the ring, grabs a microphone and gets right in Kurt's face. “You know Kurt, this is the first time that we've been face to face since you returned. Look, I get it. You come back and you want to be the WWE Champion like everyone else so you come after me. I commend you for that actually. Trying to take what you want. Bravo. The problem is, Kurt, you bit off more than you can chew. I told you before that you've done nothing to earn a shot at the title and while I may have lost it, it's only a matter of time before it's back where it belongs. Before I win back my title, I'm gonna kick your ass at SummerSlam. I don't care what you did at the Olympics in 1996, I don't care how successful your first year in the WWE was and I don't care about any of your precious career accolades. None of it matters when you step into the ring with someone who is straight edge. And let's be honest Kurt, you're far from straight edge aren't you?” Instead of answering, Kurt Angle pulls CM Punk into a belly to belly suplex as the crowd erupts. Punk quickly escapes the ring while holding his back as he seems to have touched a nerve with Kurt Angle. Angle is fired up in the ring as Punk avoids getting back in the ring.
- ===Commercial Break===
- As we return, a recap is shown of the opening segment followed by a graphic announcing that CM Punk will be in action tonight against Rey Mysterio!
- Cody Rhodes def. Yoshi Tatsu w/ Jimmy Yang and Jamie Noble >> Yoshi Tatsu has been part of a tag team recently, but found success in singles action near the start of his career. He ran into Cody Rhodes though, who has been on a tear as of late. Cody picked up another win with the Disaster Kick.
- The crowd boos as Cody Rhodes continues his hot streak. Matt Striker reminds the folks at home that Cody pinned the number one contender for the United States Title, Tyler Black, last week and that has to put him in the conversation for a future title shot.
- In the back, the WWE World Tag Team Champions, the Dudebusters are shown. They're hanging out in their locker room when Stephanie McMahon enters. They stop clowning around as Stephanie informs them that they the next few weeks are going to be important for them. When Curt Hawkins asks why, she replies “Next week, right here on Smackdown, the two top contenders for your titles will meet as the Straight Edge Society will take on Raw's AirBourne Angels. The winner of that match will earn a WWE World Tag Team Title shot at Raw 900.” The Dudebusters are not happy with this news.
- A graphic is shown to promote tonight's main event where Christian will team with Shelton Benjamin to take on Randy Orton and The Miz!
- ===Commercial Break===
- Josh Matthews is standing by with the number one contender for the WWE Championship, The Miz. He asks for The Miz's thoughts going into the biggest match of his career this Sunday at SummerSlam. The Miz responds by saying that normally, he would butterflies in his stomach because the WWE Championship is all that he's wanted his entire life. But, knowing that Christian is the WWE Champion takes all of the suspense out of it because he knows for a fact that he can beat him. He's done it twice, he'll do it tonight and he'll do it this Sunday. Because he's the Miz and he's awesome.
- Drew Gallows w/ The Straight Edge Society def. Paul London w/ Brian Kendrick >> Drew Gallows looked to be very motivated to have a good match and it might have something to do with the announcement of a chance to earn a WWE World Tag Team Title shot next week. Paul London put up a valiant effort but the Gallows Pole earned Drew the 1-2-3.
- Drew Gallows gets to his feet as Joseph Matthews and Serena Mancini join him in the ring to celebrate. With their theme playing, CM Punk walks out to the ring to join them.
- Rey Mysterio is shown walking towards the arena because he meets CM Punk, next!
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo airs for Monday Night Raw. Was John Cena able to dethrone Chris Jericho as World Heavyweight Champion? Did Edge get revenge on Sheamus? Were the “Best in the World” too much for Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston? Find out on the SummerSlam fallout edition of Raw!
- CM Punk w/ The Straight Edge Society def. Rey Mysterio >> Two of the very best in ring workers on the roster today went at it to close the first hour and they delivered. Rey Mysterio and CM Punk showed that they have good chemistry and had the crowd in the palm of their hands. Mysterio called for the 619 but Punk caught him in the middle of the move and hoisted him onto his shoulders before dropping him with the Go to Sleep and getting the victory.
- The WWE Universe boos loudly as CM Punk defeats Rey Mysterio. The Straight Edge Society join him in the ring as CM Punk is heading into his showdown with Kurt Angle by bouncing back from losing the WWE Championship.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, the Best in the World's theme hits as Jack Swagger, Gail Kim, William Regal and Raw's Alberto Del Rio walk down to the ring. They allow the negative crowd reaction to shower over them before speaking. Alberto Del Rio speaks first saying that the only group of people that disgust him more than the fans on Monday Night Raw are the fans of Friday Night Smackdown. This draws him even more boos than they originally received. He starts talking about his accomplishments in the WWE since he arrived only a few short months ago which include retiring a former WWE Champion, stopping Kofi Kingston from cashing in his Money in the Bank and beating Kofi at The Bash. He guarantees that he and Swagger will walk out of Los Angeles this Sunday following a victory. Swagger speaks next saying that since his debut in the WWE nearly two years ago, he has been called a wrestling prodigy and while that was very true, he is no longer a prodigy. He is now officially fulfilling that billing. He has arrived and everyone that is not a part of the Best in the World should get down on their knees and bow to the United States Champion. “I promise all of you, that as the best in the United States, I will remain the United States Champion for a very long time.”
- They are cut off by the theme of the number one contender for that United States Championship, Tyler Black, who walks on to the stage with AJ Lee. Tyler speaks as the crowd's cheers quiet down. “Jack, Jack, Jack...shut up.” The crowd pops again as Swagger is not happy in the ring. Black says that he's not one to waste time talking so he wants to inform Swagger that Stephanie McMahon has granted him his United States Title match next week on Smackdown. The crowd gives a mixed reaction but that turns to cheers when they hear this. “Jack, we're out here to challenge you for tonight as well. You and Gail Kim against myself and the next Women's Champion, AJ Lee in a mixed tag match right now.” William Regal interjects, saying that Swagger will not be competing tonight as he is getting mentally prepared for his big match at SummerSlam, but he'll be happy to team with Gail instead. Black and AJ agree and begin walking to the ring.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Women's Champion Gail Kim and William Regal w/ Alberto Del Rio & Jack Swagger def. AJ Lee and Tyler Black >> One of the better mixed tag team matches in recent memory as the crowd was really into the interactions of the divas. Their match this Sunday is highly anticipated. The interactions between William Regal and Tyler Black were very good as well as both men are among the best in the company. The finish came when Kim hit AJ with Eat Defeat after she got tripped by Alberto Del Rio.
- Boos rain down on the ring as the Best in the World celebrate their win. Todd Grisham calls Alberto Del Rio despicable for having the audacity to trip a woman. Tyler Black checks on AJ Lee as the Best in the World continue to showboat.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Ashley Valance is standing by with “The Gold Standard” Shelton Benjamin. He asks Shelton about his health entering tonight's main event and the Street Fight at SummerSlam. Shelton says that he feels good despite Randy Orton trying to end his career with the punt. He will be 100% going into the match this Sunday and Randy Orton needs to understand that he too can be dangerous man.
- A promo airs for SummerSlam, which is live this Sunday from Los Angeles, California!
- Randy Orton walks down to the ring and enters before the announcers tell everyone that the main event is up next.
- ===Commercial Break===
- WWE Champion Christian and Shelton Benjamin def. Randy Orton and The Miz via disqualification >> A great main event to close Smackdown that got a lot of time. Shelton Benjamin, despite starting the match hot, played the face in peril roll as the heels cut the ring in half and really worked him over. Randy Orton and The Miz surprisingly worked well until Shelton was able to make the hot tag to the WWE Champion. Christian came in on fire and had the crowd in the palm of his hand. He got a near fall with a sunset flip on Orton and began to signal for the Unprettier. However, The Miz snuck in from behind and hit him with a low bell, forcing the referee to call for the bell.
- Shelton Benjamin enters the ring and charges at Miz but Randy Orton cuts him off and they brawl to the outside. If this is any indication of how their SummerSlam match will be, it's going to be a straight up fight. The Miz lets them fight outside as he waits for Christian to get back to his feet before planting him with the Skull Crushing Finale! He picks up the WWE Championship and holds it high over head. This could be the image that we see Sunday night!

Here we go with Smackdown on August 13th, 2010 from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California with an attendance of 17,526. Yes, that was all necessary! A good opening promo between CM Punk and Kurt Angle with Angle obviously taking exception to what Punk has to say to insult him. Easy victory for Cody Rhodes to kick things off in the action-jackson department here and I'm looking forward to the inevitable match between him and Tyler Black. SES versus AirBourne Angels to determine the number one contenders, eh? Makes me think it'll be the latter. Decent contest with Drew Gallows beating Paul London, nothing big here other than putting over the SES. Obvious victory in the first hour main event match with CM Punk defeating Rey Mysterio in what would have been good. A solid promo between The Best in the World, Jack Swagger backing out of the match in favor of Regal was a nice touch. Makes Swagger look like the coward he is, darn it! Gail Kim and Regal getting the victory in the mixed tag match actually surprised me a little bit, but it really makes me believe that AJ could win the belt on Sunday. Although, I hope Kim retains and keeps the Best in the World strong until Survivor Series at least. Finally, a good main event with a disqualification finish that leads to some chaos. I do see Christian overcoming The Miz at Summerslam, however. A good edition of Smackdown, Kev, and I'm looking forward to Summerslam.

August 15th, 2010 | Staples Center in Los Angeles, California | Attendance: 14,178 Dark Match: The AirBourne Angels def. The Usos
After the WWE signature video, a video package plays starting with Chris Jericho's title victory at King of the Ring and formation of the Best in the World. It then shows John Cena, Kofi Kingston and Jeff Hardy standing up to the powerful stable, leading to two of tonight's biggest matches. Next, we see Christian's struggles throughout the year to win the big one until he finally bested CM Punk a few weeks back on Smackdown to become WWE Champion. It shows how he has yet to beat his opponent tonight, The Miz. The last thing highlighted in the video is the rivalry between former WWE Champion CM Punk and the recently returned Kurt Angle.
The three announce teams welcome us to the show as the format of separate announce teams has returned. They promote tonight's huge card and say that this could be the biggest SummerSlam in history. The fate of the Best in the World, the in-ring return of Kurt Angle and the biggest test for the new WWE Champion and so much more tonight in Los Angeles!
Edge vs. Sheamus
Since breaking away from his uncle at the tail end of last year, Sheamus has been on an absolute rampage through the WWE. His goal is to make an impact and he did just that when he separated Edge's shoulder. Edge has revenge in his eyes as the bell sounds and they lock up. Sheamus easily overpowers Edge and sends him to the mat. Edges realizes that he must reconsider strategy and when they lock up again, he quickly goes behind Sheamus and trips him up. Edge applies a headlock but Sheamus sends him off the ropes and shoulder blocks him down. Sheamus knees Edge in the stomach and puts him in the corner, where he fires away with some vicious chops. He applies a wrist lock and lifts Edge high in the air as it's clear that Sheamus will be targeting Edge's injured shoulder. He tosses Edge outside and rams him into the guardrail and post. Sheamus continues to focus on the arm as he smashes it against the post before rolling him back inside. Sheamus picks up his opponent and tosses him shoulder first into the corner. As Edge bounces out, Sheamus takes a swing but he ducks and hits a half nelson bulldog. Sheamus exits the ring and he's clearly frustrated that Edge was still able to best him. He slides back into the ring and Edge charges at him with a big boot that knocks the “Celtic Warrior” outside yet again. Sheamus is furious that Edge continues to outsmart him. He gets in and they lock up again but Sheamus rakes him in the eyes to take control. He hits a fallaway slam for a near fall before tossing Edge over and onto the apron. Sheamus stands Edge on the apron and delivers ten of the most vicious clubs to Edge's now beet red chest. Sheamus signals for the end as he picks up the Rated R Superstar for the Celtic Cross, but Edge wriggles free and nails the Edge-O-Matic for two. Edge locks in the Edgecator submission and the crowd desperately wants to see Sheamus tap out. He uses his strength to reach the ropes though. As Sheamus gets to his feet, Edge hits the Edgecution! He covers but the “Celtic Warrior” somehow manages to kick out just before three. Edge and everyone watching is absolutely stunned. The “Rated R Superstar” backs into the corner, crouches and starts to pull his hair as he's going for the Spear. Sheamus gets up and Edge charges, but Sheamus moves and Edge runs his injured shoulder into the post! He turns around into a vicious Brogue Kick that gives Sheamus yet another huge victory. Sheamus defeats Edge in 9:32The crowd is surprised once again by the success of the “Celtic Warrior” as he defeats another future WWE Hall of Famer. The Undertaker, Batista and now Edge have all fallen to Sheamus as he exits the ring and raises his arm high in the air. Michael Cole asks the question on everyone's mind...”who or what can stop Sheamus?” Cutting to the parking lot, a limousine arrives and out steps the entire “Best in the World”, decked out to the nines in suits. Not all of them will be in action tonight, but they're all here. Josh Matthews comes up to them and informs Ezekiel Jackson that his ECW Championship match is up next. Jackson shouts that he's not ready and Matthews shrugs, so Jackson throws him against a gate in the parking lot and heads off in front of the rest of his team. Chris Jericho says this is just another example of the WWE trying to keep them down. A short video package plays, highlighting Bryan Danielson winning the ECW Championship from Ezekiel Jackson in shocking fashion on the July 6th edition of ECW. It then shows how many close calls John Morrison has had with the ECW Title, some of Jackson's dominance and highlights of ECW's hottest and possibly most dangerous Superstar, Wade Barrett. ECW Championship: Bryan Danielson [c] vs. Ezekiel Jackson vs. Wade Barrett vs. John Morrison
Ezekiel Jackson managed to get changed into his ring gear just in time for the match and it was clear that he was ready when he attacked Bryan Danielson during his entrance. Wade Barrett begins to pound away on John Morrison in the ring. Jackson and Danielson work their way to ringside with Jackson clubbing him in the back and tossing him into the steel steps. Morrison hits an enziguri onto Barrett and then dives onto Jackson on the outside. He slides back in the ring and charges at Barrett, only to be caught in the Winds of Change. Barrett covers but Danielson enters and stops the pin. Danielson kicks Barrett in the legs three times, causing the English Superstar to drop to his knee. He goes for a final big kick to the head, but Barrett ducks and Danielson is taken down by Jackson. Barrett gets to his feet and goes face to face with Jackson as the crowd begins to roar at the sight of these two brutes squaring off. They trade right hands until Jackson backs Barrett into the corner. Barrett ducks a shot and puts Jackson in the corner, firing away with rights and lefts. Barrett perches Jackson on the top and looks to be going for a superplex, but Morrison kicks him in the back and jumps to the top where he hits a top rope hurricanrana onto Jackson! He covers but Jackson gets his shoulder up. Barrett and Danielson are going at it again when Barrett tosses him outside. He follows behind the Champion and clears off the ECW announce table. He picks up Danielson and looks like he's going for Wasteland through the table but Danielson elbows his way out of it. He stands on the table and kicks Barrett on the side of the head. Inside, Morrison misses the Starship Pain and Jackson plants him with the Book of Ezekiel. He covers but Danielson breaks it up in the nick of time. Jackson is not happy as he runs at Danielson, who pulls the top rope down and he falls to the outside. Danielson bounces off the ropes and hits a suicide dive on Jackson, which sends him into Barrett. Barrett and Jackson instantly brawl again as Danielson gets back in the ring. Morrison goes to hit the Moonlight Drive, but Danielson counters and somehow gets him down into the Cattle Mutilation! On the outside, Barrett doesn't know this is going on as he hits Jackson with the Wasteland through the table. He turns toward the ring to see Morrison tap out and Danielson retains the belt! Bryan Danielson defeats Ezekiel Jackson, John Morrison and Wade Barrett to retain the ECW Championship in 9:21
The crowd cheers as Bryan Danielson has done the unthinkable and retained the ECW Championship! The odds were not in his favor but he has done it. Danielson is handed the belt as Wade Barrett looks on furiously from the outside. It's become very clear that the paths of Bryan Danielson and Wade Barrett will have to cross sooner than later. A promo airs for next month's Pay-Per-View extravaganza, Breaking Point! The promo focuses on Kurt Angle and the show airs September 19th, 2010 from Chicago, Illinois! Ashley Valance is standing by with the WWE Champion, Christian. The crowd pops as he appears on screen and Ashley asks for his thoughts on his first Pay-Per-View title defense and it being against a man that he has never beaten. Christian says that he's never been more ready to defend his belt on a Pay-Per-View. “As for The Miz, you're right. I've yet to beat him and he's been on quite the roll as of late. But I'm coming off of the biggest win of my career and, after waiting over a decade to make it to the top, I don't plan on letting this belt go anytime soon. I'm Captain Charisma, I'm the WWE Champion and I'm going to beat The Miz tonight. Because that's how I roll.” Street Fight: Randy Orton vs. Shelton Benjamin
If looks could kill, then Randy Orton would die as Shelton Benjamin stares a hole through him on his way to the ring. Once he slides in, Orton stomps away at him with the referee ringing the bell. He sends Shelton off the ropes and goes for a clothesline but the “Gold Standard” ducks and hits a huge German suplex that forces Orton to regroup on the outside. Shelton runs off the ropes and goes for a beautiful splash, but Orton moves and Benjamin hits the floor hard. Orton stomps on Shelton again, this time, on various parts of his body. He goes under the ring and brings out a kendo stick to a crowd pop. He waits for Shelton to slowly get to his feet and strikes him in the stomach with it. He follows that with a shot to the back and chokes Shelton. Shelton starts to fade until he's able to use his athleticism to run up the guardrail and push off hard, sending Orton back first into the apron, breaking the choke. Shelton is up first and he whips Orton into the post before picking up the kendo stick. The crowd roars as he wails away on Orton, causing the Viper to scramble away and back into the ring. Shelton goes to follow but Orton nails him on the apron and plants him with his signature DDT. He goes for the cover but Benjamin is able to kick out. Orton rolls outside and takes a steel chair from ringside. He hops onto the apron but Shelton leaps up and kicks the chair into his face! Orton falls to the outside and Shelton goes after and whips him into the guardrail. They brawl up the ramp where Shelton connects with Paydirt! However, this is not falls count anywhere so he drags Orton down the ramp. Shelton rolls him into the ring and covers but Orton is able to get his shoulder up. Shelton lays the chair on the mat and begins to stalk Orton for another Paydirt. He goes for it but Orton pushes him off and hits an RKO! He pins but Shelton manages to get his foot on the bottom rope before the count of three. Orton is furious as he brings the steel steps into the ring. Matt Striker points out the crazed look in Orton's eyes. He picks up Shelton for another RKO but Shelton hits a huge Exploder onto the steel chair. He's too hurt to make the cover though as both men are laid out. He slowly crawls over but Orton wisely rolls out of reach and out of the ring. Shelton gets up but is tripped by Orton from the outside. Orton crawls inside and drops a knee on Shelton. He looks at the steel chair and and gets a sick look on his face. He places the chair on Shelton's face and goes for another knee drop but Shelton manages to throw the chair up at Randy's face. Shelton is up and nails a big boot before moving to the apron. He has the crowd roaring as he waits for Randy to get to his feet. He springboards to Orton, but is caught with a huge RKO on the steel steps! Randy covers and gets the win. Randy Orton defeats Shelton Benjamin in 12:44Despite the fans not being happy that Randy Orton will be leaving Los Angeles as a winner, there is a mixed reaction for his win. Most likely it's due to the appreciation for the brutal match that they have just witnessed. Orton can't be satisfied with this though as he starts to stalk Shelton Benjamin for yet another punt kick. Officials bombard the ring and stand in front of Shelton and order Randy out of the ring. He throws two of them aside and goes for the Punt but Shelton dodges it and uses Randy's momentum to throw him over and outside. Shelton is still clearly woozy but he has some fight left. Randy poses before backing up the ramp. An advertisement airs for the historic Raw 900 episode on August 30th, 2010! Already announced is a huge five on five match pitting the Best in the World against John Cena, Kofi Kingston, Jeff Hardy and two mystery partners! Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger w/ William Regal vs. Kofi Kingston and Jeff HardyAs Jeff Hardy is coming down to the ring, Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio beat down on Kofi Kingston inside. Jeff rushes the ring when he notices and a pier six brawl breaks out as the bell rings. Kofi manages to get Swagger in the corner. He drops to all fours as Jeff leaps off of him to connect with Poetry in Motion. Jeff drops to all fours by Del Rio in the opposite corner and Kofi hits Poetry in the Motion. The heels roll outside as the crowd is buzzing for Hardy and Kingston. While Swagger and Del Rio regroup, Kofi and Jeff nod at each other and run off the ropes before leaping onto all three members of the Best in the World. Once they get back in the ring, the match calms down and turns into an actual tag contest. Del Rio and Kingston start things out and they've developed a very good chemistry over the past month or so. Del Rio focuses on the arm as he normally does. He and Swagger begin to tag in and out frequently and focusing on Kofi's arm. Swagger hits the Swagger splash in the corner before putting Kofi in a wrist lock. Kofi breaks it and hits a new move that Michael Cole says is called SOS. He slowly crawls to his side of the ring when William Regal hops on the apron, distracting the referee. Kofi makes the tag and the building erupts but the official forces Jeff to leave as he didn't see the tag. Del Rio gets tagged in and slaps on the Cross Armbreaker! Kofi is in clear pain as Regal locks hands with Del Rio to add unfair pressure. The crowd pops as Tyler Black runs down and levels Regal. He throws him into the post and fights him to the back. Jack Swagger is furious on the apron and Kofi manages to get his foot on the rope, breaking the hold. Del Rio tags in Swagger, who now grabs Kofi for the Gutwrench Powerbomb. Kofi sweeps Swagger's legs and rolls him up but only gets a near fall. They get up at the same time, Kofi ducks a clothesline, springboards off the middle rope and dropkicks Swagger. He finally makes the tag to Jeff Hardy as the roof blows off of the arena. Hardy ducks a punch from Swagger and hits a sitout jawbreaker. Del Rio enters and is instantly hit with an enziguri. He falls into the corner in a seated position, allowing Jeff to hit the hardyac arrest dropkick. The crowd is jacked as Jeff goes for the Twist of Fate on Swagger but gets shoved away into Del Rio, who Jeff hits another dropkick on, sending him outside. He turns to Swagger, who drops him with a shoulder breaker. Swagger picks Jeff up, who quickly counters into a Twist of Fate. He covers but Del Rio breaks up the pin. Del Rio sends Jeff off the ropes and Kingston blind tags in. Del Rio hits Jeff with a big tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and he covers, but the referee tells him that Jeff isn't leg. Del Rio gets up and is nailed with a big Trouble in Paradise. Del Rio stumbles back and outside of the ring. Swagger grabs Kofi from behind for a German suplex, but Kofi counters and gets behind Swagger. Swagger lifts him leg and hits a low blow that the referee misses. He turns and plants Kingston with the Gutwrench Powerbomb for the three. Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger defeat Kofi Kingston and Jeff Hardy in 13:19
The WWE Universe boos but a lot of them are surprised to see the Best in the World win this match. Jerry “The King” Lawler says that despite how great the Best in the World is, Kofi Kingston being extremely hot and Jeff Hardy being at the top of his game made a lot of people feel that they would walk out as the winners. Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger exit up the ramp while Jeff checks on Kofi. Backstage, Josh Matthews is standing by with the Straight Edge Savior, CM Punk. The Straight Edge Society stands with him as Josh asks for his thoughts heading into a match with Kurt Angle. Punk says that in a lot of people's minds, a match between CM Punk and Kurt Angle would be considered a dream match. “The fact is, I'm not the WWE Champion, so this is not a dream for CM Punk. It's a nightmare. I don't like nightmares. Kurt Angle will learn that I don't like them tonight as I beat the hell out of him. I am straight edge and Kurt Angle is not and that makes me better than him. I will prove that to you, the idiots in the crowd and everyone at home.” A video package is shown, starting with the Royal Rumble. It shows Christian make his shocking return to the WWE and target his brother. It shows him failing to win the Championship at No Way Out, WrestleMania and Extreme Rules before cutting to the King of the Ring. He makes it to the finals and is upset by The Miz and a backslide. King Miz The Awesome, as he calls himself then defeated Christian again at The Bash last month. Christian would win a battle royal to a earn a WWE Championship match in which he finally won the big one. However, Miz is the number one contender and Christian has never beaten him. WWE Championship: Christian [c] vs. The Miz
As the bell rings, the competitors meet in the middle of the ring and Miz is seen talking a lot of smack. Christian allows him to mouth off until he strikes him with a big right hand. They trade shots until Miz backs Christian into the corner and fires away with chops. Christian switches places and hits stiffer chops before sending Miz into the opposite corner. Christian runs in but Miz moves, runs to the opposite corner, turns back and hits the Awesome clothesline. He taunts the crowd while Christian lays on the mat. Miz sends him off the ropes and hot shots him on the top rope for two. Miz goes for a big boot, but Christian ducks and busts out the reverse DDT early on. He covers but Miz gets his shoulder up. Christian climbs to the top as Miz gets up and sunset flips over. Miz kicks out and he and Christian roll around getting multiple near falls each. They get up from this at the same time and Miz snaps off a powerslam. He goes to the corner and begins to expose the turnbuckle, but Christian is back up to stop him and hooks him for the Unprettier. Miz reverses it and brings Christian down into a backbreaker, immediately followed by a DDT. He covers but Christian kicks out. Miz decides to wear down Christian and puts on a headlock. Christian fades, but rallies behind the crowd and sends Miz into the corner. He places Miz on the top and slaps him across the face. A superplex follows and both men are down. When they get up, Miz chop blocks Christian down, bounces off the ropes and hits the Reality Check. He covers and is stunned when Christian kicks out. Miz argues with the referee and turns to Christian only to be pulled into a small package for two. As they get up the Miz kicks him in the stomach and actually goes for the Unprettier. Christian blocks it and connects with the Skull Crushing Finale! He places an arm over Miz but the King of the Ring is able to survive! Christian climbs to the top and goes for the Frog Splash but Miz moves and he face plants. Miz rolls him into a pin but also only gets two. Miz signals for the Skull Crushing Finale and attempts it but Christian blocks it and slaps Miz across the stomach before dropping him with another reverse DDT. Christian climbs up top again and Miz gets to his feet. Christian hits a diving European uppercut and he begins to call for the Unprettier once he gets to his feet. He hooks Miz for it, but Miz reverses it into the backslide that won him the King of the Ring. Christian is able to kick out though and both men get to their feet together. Miz swings, Christian ducks and finally connects with the Unprettier! He covers and finally beats the Miz. Christian defeats The Miz to retain the WWE Championship in 13:02
Christian is handed the WWE Championship and he celebrates with the fans. A few weeks ago he got the monkey off of his when it came to winning the big one and tonight he gets the monkey off of his back when it comes to The Miz. Cutting backstage, The Best in the World is shown in their locker room. Chris Jericho is talking as he says that they have split their matches tonight. They have two more to go and he wants to win both. He wants to keep the Women's Championship with them and he doesn't plan on losing to John Cena. He proved months ago that he can beat John Cena and he will do it again because he, and they as a unit, are the best in the world. We are taken to a video package focusing on the history between Gail Kim and AJ Lee. We see AJ Lee get chosen by Gail Kim to be mentored until AJ defeated her in a number one contender’s match. AJ came close to winning the belt, but Gail interfered and cost her the match. Gail would win the belt at The Bash and AJ earned a title shot heading into tonight. Women's Championship: Gail Kim [c] vs. AJ Lee
“Ever since Extreme Rules, all that AJ Lee has wanted is to get revenge on her former mentor and tonight, she can get the sweetest revenge possible.” These are the words spoken by Todd Grisham as the match begins. AJ Lee runs at Gail Kim and tackles her to the mat before pounding the Champion's head into the mat several times. The referee pulls them apart but AJ goes right back at Gail. They are separated once again, but AJ charges again only to be met with a big elbow to the jaw. Gail hits a dragon screw and begins to work AJ's leg. After working the leg for a short while, she drags AJ to the corner and steps outside. She wraps AJ's legs around the post and puts her in a figure four around the post! Shades of Bret Hart! She is forced to break the hold though and rolls back inside. She covers and gets two, so she puts AJ in a variation of the Boston crab. AJ is in agony but refuses to submit and she's able to roll forward and break the hold, sending Gail into the corner. AJ limps over and uses her good leg to kick Gail in the corner and hit a monkey flip, but it's clear that took something out of her. She goes for the Shining Wizard, but can't get a good jump for it on her leg. This allows Gail to kick AJ in the face and climb to the top. She leaps off with a missile dropkick that connects and locks in a dragon sleeper. Gail continues to show her submission ability but AJ shows more resiliency as she manages to wriggle out of it and hit back to back neckbreakers. She covers but Kim kicks out. She runs off the ropes and hits a flying head scissors before calling for the Shining Wizard. AJ realizes that it will probably fail again due to her leg, so while she hits the ropes, she instead wraps up Gail Kim in an Octopus Stretch! The crowd pops as Kim has no place to go and is forced to give up! AJ Lee defeats Gail Kim to win the Women's Championship in 4:56
Tears are clearly visible in AJ Lee's eyes as the referee gives her the Women's Championship. This is what AJ Lee has dreamed about since she was a kid and since she sat in the nosebleeds at WrestleMania XX. She raises the title high in the air as her journey is now complete. Not only does she beat her former mentor, but she does it with a submission, which Gail tried to do to her numerous times throughout the match. A video package plays focusing on the SummerSlam Axxess special, which, like the WrestleMania one, allowed fans to meet and greet the Superstars and Divas of the WWE. Returning to the arena, Matt Striker and Todd Grisham stay on the call as they take the viewers to a video showing Kurt Angle's historic return to the WWE at The Bash last month. He took out CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society. Two weeks later on Smackdown, CM Punk would lose the WWE Championship to Christian and his war of words continued with Kurt until the following week where Kurt announced that Stephanie McMahon made their match for tonight. “This Fire Burns” plays as CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society walk down to the ring to a chorus of boos. They get in the ring and await Kurt Angle, but Stephanie McMahon's theme hits. She comes to the stage with a microphone in her hand. “Punk, when I signed this match, I did it with Smackdown's best interest in my mind. The Smackdown fans and the WWE Universe as a whole wants to see you face Kurt Angle one on one. That being said, the rest of the Straight Edge Society will have to leave as I'm barring them from ringside.” The crowd pops but the Straight Edge Society is livid. CM Punk vs. Kurt Angle
It was very obvious that there was a big fight feel in the air for this first time ever match. Not only was there the anticipation of this being a dream match for some, but it is Kurt Angle's first time in a WWE ring since 2006. They lock up and immediately go to the ground for some mat based work. CM Punk shows that he is no slouch when it comes to pure wrestling ability, as he takes down Angle several times, but Angle always turns it around and out wrestles Punk. On the final reversal, Angle peppers Punk with slaps to the back of the head and Punk leaves the ring in a fit. The referee tells him to get back in, but Punk responds by telling him to shut up. Punk re-enters and they lock up again, this time with Punk kicking Angle in the gut. The Straight Edge Superstar sends Angle off the ropes and hit a big roundhouse kick. He shifts his focus to Angle's neck, which he's had problems with throughout his career. Punk runs off the ropes and hits a swinging neckbreaker before sending Angle into the corner. He latches on a submission there but has to break the hold before five. Angle crumples to the mat, so Punk climbs to the top. He goes for an elbow drop, but Angle moves out of the way. Punk is up and walks right into a belly to belly suplex that receives a big pop from the crowd. He's up again and takes a swing, Angle ducks and hits a German suplex that he bridges but Punk gets a shoulder up. Angle doesn't release the hold though, and nails two more Germans but Punk still kicks out. Angle goes for the Ankle Lock but Punk scatters to the ropes and latches on for dear life. Angle grabs him by the leg and pulls him off the rope, but Punk hits an enziguri. He goes for another kick but Angle ducks and shoves him into the corner. Angle charges, Punk moves, runs to the opposite corner and back before striking Angle with a huge step up knee to the face. He follows with a bulldog and signals for the Go to Sleep. As Angle gets to his feet, Punk hoists him up for it and nails it, but as Angle hits the mat, he wisely rolls out of the ring. CM Punk is furious as he goes outside and throws Angle into the steel steps before putting him back in the ring. Punk is salivating as he steps on the apron and waits for Angle to get to his feet. When he does, Punk goes for a springboard clothesline, but Angle dropkicks him in mid-air! Angle hits a European uppercut when both men get to their feet, but Punk fires back and they are trading shots as the crowd trades “yay” and “boo” for each hit. Angle wins out by ducking one from Punk and connecting with the Angle Slam! He covers but Punk is able to kick out in the nick of time. Angle grabs Punk's ankle and puts on the Ankle Lock! Punk is writhing in pain and is too far to reach the ropes. He manages to roll forward and send Angle into the corner, similar to what AJ Lee did earlier. Angle charges at Punk instantly, but Punk gets him up for the Go to Sleep! Angle wriggles free and manages to put an Ankle Lock back on CM Punk! Punk is once again stuck with the ropes not being near. He gets near the ropes and it's just out of reach. Angle falls to the mat and locks on the hold as Punk grabs the ropes. The referee counts for Angle to release it, but Punk's grip slips from the ropes and he taps out! Kurt Angle defeats CM Punk in 20:39
The WWE Universe explodes as Kurt Angle wins his return match. Matt Striker points out that even though CM Punk submitted, his other hand was under the bottom rope, so technically it shouldn't have counted. Todd Grisham admits that it is controversial but the referee has the final decision. As Angle heads to the back, Punk is clearly seen pleading his case to the referee. In the back, John Cena is shown sitting down and staring off straight as the focus is clear on his face. He gets hyped up and exits his locker room because his huge World Heavyweight Title match is next! Returning, one final video package airs starting with clips of the intense rivalry that Chris Jericho and John Cena had earlier this year. Jericho put his career on the line and beat him before Cena evened the score in a brutal dog collar match. They were both involved in a Triple Threat WWE Title match at King of the Ring, where Jericho won the title due to the formation of the Best in the World. It then shows how their rivalry has intensified since then. World Heavyweight Championship: Chris Jericho [c] w/ Drew McIntyre vs. John Cena
Five years ago, these two met for the WWE Championship in the main event of the 2005 SummerSlam. Tonight, things come full circle as they go face to face as the bell rings. Chris Jericho immediately slaps John Cena across the face, showing a severe lack of respect. Cena responds with a huge right hand that sends Jericho to the mat. Cena quickly grabs his leg and goes for the STFU, but Jericho kicks him off. He gets to his feet as Cena bounces back off the ropes and is met with a big shoulder block. Cena hits the ropes again and another shoulder block. He ducks a punch, hits a spin out slam and it looks like an early Five Knuckle Shuffle. He connects with it and covers for two. Cena waits for Jericho to get to his feet and hits a big one handed bulldog as the challenger is on fire. Cena climbs to the top and leaps for his leg drop bulldog, but Jericho catches him by the legs and puts on the Walls of Jericho! Cena once again shows how powerful he is as he makes it to the ropes. Jericho stomps on Cena before picking him up to his feet and hitting a Northern lights suplex for a near fall. Jericho drags Cena to the ropes and steps outside. He pulls Cena down on the bottom rope, choking him in the process. He breaks before the count of five and climbs back in the ring. Jericho hits a double underhook backbreaker and shouts at Cena that it's over. He goes for the Walls of Jericho again, but Cena turns hard and sends Jericho crashing to the mat. They get up together and Cena busts out a hurricanrana to everyone's surprise. He gets Jericho onto his shoulders for the Attitude Adjustment but Jericho elbows his way out of it and hits a German suplex for two. Jericho goes for the Codebreaker but Cena grabs the top rope, sending Jericho to the mat on his own. Cena picks up Jericho from the mat by his legs and plants him with a stiff powerbomb. Cena is clearly pulling out all of the stops tonight. Drew McIntyre hops on the apron and Cena levels him back down. He goes to Jericho and hits a fisherman suplex before climbing back up for the leg drop bulldog. Jericho pulls the referee and distracts him as McIntyre shoves Cena off the top and to the outside. The referee sees Cena down and begins to count. Jericho anxiously watches, hoping to leave with a countout victory. Cena manages to barely slide into the ring at the count of nine, getting a huge reaction from the fans. Jericho wastes no time, hitting the Lionsault but Cena somehow gets his shoulder up. Jericho puts on the Walls once again and Cena is struggling to reach the ropes this time. He manages to reach his hand back and somehow counter this into the STFU! Jericho looks close to tapping when McIntyre gets back on the apron. The referee gets distracted by this and he misses Jericho tapping out. Cena breaks the hold and brings McIntyre in the hard way. Cena picks him up and hits an Attitude Adjustment to the outside! The crowd is pumped as Cena turns back to Jericho, right into the Codebreaker! Jericho covers and gets the three! Chris Jericho defeats John Cena to retain the World Heavyweight Championship in 16:44Chris Jericho soaks in the hatred from the fans as he pulls out a win over John Cena tonight. Drew McIntyre definitely had a hand in it as Jericho helps him up and basically drags him to his feet. He holds the World Heavyweight Title above his head while the cameras catch John Cena and his disappointed look in the ring. © World Wrestling Entertainment 2010

Allright. It's Summerslam Time. So let's get to it.
Sheamus/Edge: It's the first match of the night. Sheamus has been on a lot of momentum, he took The Undertaker out of action and he took Batista out of action. Can he take Edge out of action. Edge put up a pretty decent fight against this rookie, but Sheamus proved he was still dominant over Edge.
ECW Title Fatal-4 Way: A great Fatal-4 Way Match with Barrett. Jackson. Morrison and Bryan, but in the end it's Danielson that retains the ECW Championship.
Orton/Benjamin: what better way to have this Street Fight Match between The Viper and Shelton Benjamin. Shelton definitely fought hard in this match but he couldn't beat The Legend Killer.
Del Rio/Swagger vs Kingston/Hardy: Honestly I was shocked that Del Rio and Swagger defeated Kofi and a veteran like Jeff Hardy. Hardy just came to RAW and he's already defeated by Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger.
Christian/Miz: An awesome first PPV Title Defense for Christian. But he's got The Miz as his challenger, can Miz win the WWE Championship, unfortunately, nope. Christian retains the title in a good quality match against The Miz, i really don't see Miz as WWE Champion very soon. Maybe give Miz a chance like in October or November.
AJ/Gail: Finally AJ stops the reign of Gail Kim. AJ is finally the Divas Champion.
Angle/Punk: Angle's first PPV Match since Vengeance 2006 against the former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. Such a great match between these two. Punk bans the Straight Edge Society from this match, but despite all that. Angle defeats the Best in the World with the anklelock. Tap Punk Tap.
Jericho/Cena: Finally the biggest main event between Chris Jericho and John Cena, but in the end, it's Jericho that successfully retains the World Heavyweight Championship with intereference from his buddies.
Can't wait for the Next PPV. Nice great show with Summerslam and congratulations on reaching a 100 pages. You and AJ are kicking some serious ass because you are the legends.

Sheamus beating Edge, that is another future WWE Hall of Famer Sheamus has beaten and look at the names he has already beaten, he's beaten The Undertaker he's beaten Batista and now Edge and Sheamus has certainly proven at least to me that he is deserving of being World Heavyweight Champion and considering the names he's beaten and taken out, how can you not agree? Sheamus in my opinion deserves to be #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship and if anyone can end Chris Jericho's reign as World Heavyweight Champion it is the Celtic Warrior Sheamus
Danielson retaining his ECW Championship against Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, and Morrison, I would definitely say that Danielson is coming into his own as ECW Champion overcoming not 1, not 2 but 3 other men just to retain his title where the odds were stacked against him from the get go he found a way to win and now that he has it makes me wonder who will be up next to challenge Danielson for that ECW Championship? The Best in the World, well their stable is 0 for 1 tonight right now
Randy Orton beating Shelton Benjamin in a Street Fight, this match was probably as brutal and as physical as they come considering just how these 2 men hate one another and want to destroy each other, The Viper comes out on top against the Gold Standard beating him in this match this can't even be considered a match it was a war and Orton definitely won the war but I was hoping he was going to punt Shelton Benjamin right in the skull but who knows maybe he will get another chance to do so
Best in the World members Del Rio and Swagger beating Kofi and Jeff Hardy, yes this didn't come as a shock to me considering just how good Swagger and Del Rio have been as of late but also look at who they are learning under, look at who is mentoring them? Now BITW are 1-1 tonight
WWE Champion Christian retaining his WWE Championship against Money in the Bank briefcase holder The Miz, I was expecting Miz to blindside Christian right after the match and attack him to the point where Christian would be vulnerable and Miz could cash in but I still think that Miz can cash in to become WWE Champion and I think he will, it is only a matter of time
AJ becomes the new WWE Women's Champion beating Best In The World member Gail Kim, Best in the World are officially 1-2 tonight and now that their stable has lost the WWE Women's Championship I wonder if this means Gail Kim will be kicked out of the stable for losing her title? But AJ now that she is finally champion I wonder if she will become a fighting champion?
Kurt Angle in his first WWE PPV since Vengeance 2006 beats former WWE/World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, yes this match definitely by far was Match of the Night for me and for Punk to ban Gallows, Serena and Mercury from ringside and doing it on his own I admire that I respect that but in the end he loses to Angle, making Punk tap out to the Ankle Lock, Punk will never hear the end of this, how much you wanna bet that they will chant "YOU TAPPED OUT"?
And in the main event Jericho retains the World Heavyweight Championship beating John Cena all be it that he had help because his cronies his Best in the World teammates were helping him out and in the end it paid off for him but even you have to admit that Cena got screwed and that he is entitled to a rematch, a rematch where none of Jericho's cronies can get involved
Chris Jericho cannot win a match on his own without his cronies helping him, that should just prove what kind of a champion he really is

Alright, lets get going with Summerslam! A good opening contest with Sheamus defeating Edge in the right choice. The Celtic Warrior has been on a rampage here in the WWE and you've been building him up well. Up next, a good fatal four way for the ECW Championship and I am glad to see Bryan Danielson retain. I hope he and Barrett continue their feud and it appears that will be what happens. Man, it feels weird seeing Shelton Benjamin do anything. You did build him up well, however, so seeing him against Randy Orton obviously makes sense but I am kind of glad that Orton won the match. Great spot to finish the match for sure, though, and Benjamin still looks good in defeat especially taking a spot like that. A little surprised, if I'm honest, to see Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger win their match here. Although, it was probably for the best to see Kofi Kingston be the one to get pinned over Jeff Hardy seeing as how Jeff just came over to Raw. Which is the main reason why I thought they would have won. But, it is the Best in the World stable and it keeps on building them up. Makes me think that Jericho will win for sure later on. A decent WWE Championship match between Christian and The Miz and I didn't expect Miz to win the belt. Not yet, anyway, because Christian just won the belt obviously. I could see Miz winning it next month though. Hey, AJ Lee wins the Women's Championship! A little surprised with Gail Kim being a part of Best in the World but I am certainly fine with the call. A great match to follow up between CM Punk and Kurt Angle and Angle winning was the right call just being back here in the WWE. Him making Punk submit was definitely convincing, but I fully expect Punk to get his revenge. Finally, a rather predictable main event with Chris Jericho winning in a screwy finish over John Cena. Expected with The Best in the World, obviously, and I like how McIntyre got owned but still cost Cena. A good pay-per-view overall, although I felt the bigger matches were more predictable. Still, a good event and I am looking forward to more.

Good choice for the opener with Sheamus and Edge going at it and you are definitely putting Sheamus over huge. Don't let him get stale! The Best in The World stable is cool, and Big Zeke as the muscle gives him something to do. A good title defense for Bryan Danielson and I love the idea of him being the face of new ECW. The brutal American Dragon just kicking heads in and messing everyone else up in ECW, that writes itself for a few good months. ECW as the proving ground over NXT makes it more about the wrestling and less about comedic challenges, which is always welcomed. Barrett/Bryan can be a crazy good Extreme Rules match. I don't know what's been going on in the feud with Orton and Benjamin, but you wrote that match to be brutal and viscous and it told a story. This match put over Benjamin a little bit as he managed to get out of one RKO, but the closing spot (which was very realistic btw) proved to be too much. The post match action puts the feud over and they will definitely go again. With another gimmick match maybe? Del Rio and Swagger is a good choice for the tag team to represent Best In The World, they had good chemistry together during their short feud. Kingston and Hardy is a weird pairing, but ig vives Kofi something to do without him being Shelton Benjamin lite. Good CM Punk promo here, but you should have had him bring up Angle leaving WWE in the first place with the drug problems. Go full shoot! Not sure if I'm buying into Christian/Miz as the WWE Championship match, but the way you explained it in the recap video makes it a more personal feud than I thought. Big win for Christian here in his championship reign, hope he gets a good run with it. An entertaining run, preferably. This feud between Gail Kim and AJ Lee would have done wonders for Womens Wrestling in real life, so executing it here with a Teacher/Student vibe is great, especially over the championship. A good finish to a good match that didn't reveal too much, guessing that's because this feud will definitely continue. Especially after that finish. Punk/Angle could go for months. And last, but definitely not least the whole build of the Best In The World stable gets tested against John Cena, and Jericho picks up the win. A questionable win, but a win nonetheless. You had to keep the belt on Jericho and you probably will for a while, which makes sense due to the build around him now. A great show from start to finish that definitely progressed a lot of your storylines with ease. Looking forward to what else comes.
