ECW: Nice way to open the show with the former tag team champions and ECW Battle Royal sounds good, love battle royals. Danielson winning is fine but Ziggler needs a singles push. Kennedy beating Ryder is fine, faces are winning the show atm. I hope the Dudebusters qualify. Extreme Rules Match! Dreamer wins and thats 3-0 to the faces tonight. Great main event with the heels finally picking up a win, glad Swagger won too he needed it. Good ECW.
SD!: Glad it's 3-3 now, Morrison winning this thing would be different and actually good but Black'll have it, I know it. Glad the finale is at the Rumble. Kofi vs. Benjamin sounds great. April Lee needs some push tbh, your just letting her lose lately. Jericho vs. Edge is big for SmackDown! surprised it's low on the card. Nice promo between rivals Jeff and Orton. Sheamus winning is huge against show, good booking. Actually, despite what I said in the ECW reply Tatsu and Goldust qualifying is good because Goldust shouldn't miss the rumble, ever. World Championship Match to end the show and for the third week in four weeks Kingston is in the main event, love it. Glad Benjamin retained. Good show but weird segment ordering to some extent.

-Black tieing the series and forcing a Game 7 is great. Looking forward to Rumble. -Edge's promo was good and really looking forward to Benjamin and Kofi. -Jericho beating Edge is nice. I wonder if Edge will take this year's Rumble. -Sheamus beating Show will go down as a shocker. But two bicycle kicks makes sense. -Tatsu and Goldust beating um, Dudebusters is alright. -Benjamin vs. Kofi looked solid. Benjamin winning was the right call. -Good SmackDown.

Tonight’s episode of Raw opens with a short video package showing the events of last week’s Raw, where John “Bradshaw” Layfield was announced at the new General Manager. It also showed Batista defeat Ted Dibiase Jr. and John Cena to retain his WWE Title shot at Royal Rumble.Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole welcome everyone to our broadcast tonight. They talk about John “Bradshaw” Layfield being in attendance tonight as well as our mixed tag main event, where WWE Champion Triple H will team with Serena Mancini to take on Batista and Women’s Champion Mickie James. Plus, we will see multiple Royal Rumble preview contests.General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield comes down to the ring to open the program for the second straight week. He gets inside and is handed a microphone. JBL talks about the impact he made on Raw last week. He says that at first Batista thought it was unfair that his title shot was put up for grabs, but Batista showed that he was deserving of the shot when he defended it successfully. JBL promises to only have Raw’s best interests in mind. He says that one particular man has really stood out in his mind since his retirement and that is Ted Dibiase Jr. This brings out Dibiase, who is in a suit, and gets right in the ring with JBL. Ted thanks JBL for the kind words and claims to be the future of the Raw brand. He said that both he & JBL know the value of money better than anybody and they can both clearly see that he is a priceless commodity. They are cut off by Joe Hennig & Cody Rhodes, who come out to the stage. Rhodes says that he & Hennig are a little put off that Ted is out here proclaiming himself to be priceless, when all three of them are supposed to be. He says that it looks like Ted is willing to sell out his teammates in order to get in good with the new GM. Ted promises that it isn’t like that at all, but JBL cuts him off. He says that Rhodes and Hennig seem mad that he is most impressed by the Legacy leaders and not his cronies. He then says that if they really want to prove themselves they can do it in their Royal Rumble preview match, which will be a Triple Threat match involving all three members of Legacy! Hennig & Rhodes seem pleased with this, but Ted doesn’t look very happy. Commercial Break. JBL’s office is shown when we return and Ted Dibiase is in there asking about the Triple Threat match tonight. JBL says that if Legacy’s bond is as strong as they make it out to be, then tonight will just be a competitive contest and nothing personal. He also adds in that a win over his former partners will prove how superior he is, which is something that could mean a great deal to Ted’s future. Ted seems to at least like the sound of that.Singles Match Elijah Burke vs. MVP The first of our three matches involving Royal Rumble participants turned out to be fantastic. These are two of the best in ring workers on the Raw brand and they put on a great show. It went back and forth for the most part, although Burke used a thumb to the eye to take control at the end. He followed that up with a hard Irish whip into the corner and the Elijah Express for the upset win. Winner: Elijah Burke (9:26) ***¼ Burke left up the ramp celebrating his surprise win to the crowd’s dismay. MVP was left in the ring, looking upset as he has lost momentum heading into the Rumble.Commercial Break.
World Tag Team Championship The British Alliance (c) w/ Layla London & Katie Lea Burchill vs. Cryme Tyme After splitting two separate singles matches over the past two weeks, Cryme Tyme gets their title shot tonight. They were in control and seemed poised to win their second World Tag Team Titles, but Layla got on the apron for a distraction. While the referee was trying to get her off the apron, Burchill entered and nailed JTG with a vicious clothesline from behind. Shad ran after him and chased him to the outside, but that allowed Regal to make JTG tap to the Regal Stretch. Winners and Still World Tag Team Champions: The British Alliance (8:07) **¾ Angela Fong is now shown standing by with John Cena. She asks him about his Royal Rumble preview bout tonight with the Intercontinental Champion Kaval. Cena says that while he’s never faced Kaval before, he’s been impressed with what he’s seen. If a guy like Kane sees you as a protégé, you must be pretty good. But Kaval has never faced someone with the will to win like Cena and he promises to bring that will to the Royal Rumble this Sunday.Commercial Break. Joe Hennig and Cody Rhodes are now shown getting prepared for their Triple Threat match, which is next. Ted Dibiase Jr. enters and the tension could quickly be felt in the room. He apologizes to them for what happened earlier tonight. He says that while being in good graces with the General Manager is great, he wasn’t going to get there and not help them out as well. He says that he’s their leader for a reason and one of them is because he isn’t selfish. He says they should go out there and have a great match and just let the best man win. Rhodes and Hennig don’t seem fully convinced but seem to go along with it.
Josh Matthews is standing by with Women’s Champion Mickie James. He asks her about being involved in the main event tonight and teaming with Batista. James says that it’s an honor to be in the main event because the Women’s Champion has only been in the main event a handful of times before tonight and she is part of that exclusive club now. She then says that she can’t think of a better partner than Batista because he wants his hands on Triple H just as bad as she wants to get to Serena Mancini.
A Royal Rumble advertisement is now shown, focusing on the WWE Title match and the Raw Superstars competing in the Rumble match itself.Commercial Break.
Triple Threat Match Cody Rhodes vs. Joe Hennig vs. Ted Dibiase Jr. The crowd wasn’t sure who to cheer for in this one, but that didn’t stop this from being a very good match. Hennig and Rhodes showed that they have future star potential as well as they went toe to toe with Ted. For the most part, they both took turns on Ted, but eventually went after each other. The finish came when Rhodes nailed Hennig with the Cross Rhodes, but before he could get the cover though, Ted clotheslined him. He then lifted Rhodes and hit the Dream Street for the win. Winner: Ted Dibiase Jr. (10:58) ***½
Commercial Break.
Singles Match Drew McIntyre vs. Evan Bourne McIntyre made an impactful in ring debut last week, when he defeated Bourne to earn a spot in the Royal Rumble. Tonight we witnessed a rematch of that and it was once again filled with good action. This time, when McIntyre went for the Scot Drop, Bourne pushed him off into the corner. He then nailed him with a spinning heel kick, which he followed with the Shooting Star Press for the win. Winner: Evan Bourne (7:16) **¾ Bourne has evened up the score with Drew McIntyre tonight and we’re sure this isn’t the last of this rivalry that we’ll be seeing.
In the back, Paul Bearer is shown with Kaval in a dark room. He’s telling Kaval that tonight is his night to show the world what he’s made of. He can beat John Cena, just like Kane did earlier this year, and get some huge momentum going into the Royal Rumble. Kaval nods at the advice as we cut away.Commercial Break. John “Bradshaw” Layfield is shown in his office, when a knock is heard. In steps Sean Morley, who quickly begins sucking up to Layfield. Layfield says that he’s not Eric Bischoff and that he’ll have none of that. If Morley wants to keep his job here on Raw, he better start winning matches. Morley leaves looking very upset.Non-Title Match Intercontinental Champion Kaval vs. John Cena This was the final of our three Royal Rumble preview contests, and it was once again a very good contest. This was different for Cena, who usually makes the heroic comeback in his matches. In this one, he was in control. Kaval used a timely kick to the skull to change that. He was in control for the most part after that and he climbed up for the Warrior’s Way. Cena moved out of the way though, and Kaval landed hard on his legs. Cena quickly hoisted him up and ended it with the FU. Winner: John Cena (9:13) ***
Commercial Break.
Mixed Tag Team Match Batista & Women’s Champion Mickie James vs. Serena Mancini & WWE Champion Triple H As Mickie James stated earlier, women being involved in the main event of Raw is a rare occasion, so this was nice to see. The interactions between both sets of genders were very good. Batista was hell bent on destroying Triple H, and James wanted the same with Mancini. The finish of the match came when Batista had Triple H hooked for the Batista Bomb. HHH wriggled free and nailed him with a low blow causing the DQ. Winners via Disqualification: Batista & Women’s Champion Mickie James (10:07) **¾ Triple H continued to assault Batista after the match. James tried to pull HHH off of him, but Mancini drilled her with a Spear. Triple H lifted Batista and downed him with a Pedigree. Serena was already up the ramp by then and Triple H raised his title high in the air.© WWE 2010

-First off, cool graphic and all but the Batista photo looks sorta old and blurry a bit but still that's not the show so let's focus on that. -Great opener. Like Hennig and Rhodes getting mad at DiBiase which is much like the old Legacy. Hoping to see Legacy fight at WrestleMania. -Burke beating MVP is good. Glad M.V.P got a great run before going back to his upper mid-card status. -British Alliance beating Cryme Tyme was the right call. Want BA to get a very long reign as champs. -Ted winning was predicted. So happy for that. It hypes him as captain. And shows he's the top dog. -Bourne beating McIntyre is fine. It's the better decision IMO but not by a landslide or much. -Love John Cena getting wins over these future potential stars but I really wanna see him get back into main event status. -Good main event. Like the DQ finish leaving both men strong. The post-match was good. Like HHH taking momentum as now I can see Batista destroy him a bit at RR. Thinking HHH will retain though. -Good RAW

WWE RAW: Monday 25th January 2010...Ah yes, another six days until the Royal Rumble. What a long route between pay-per-views from Armageddon some six weeks ago. Solid promo to start up with John Bradshaw Layfield in the ring discussing his decision last week on RAW. Ted Dibiase interrupting JBL was nice, as it instantly shows that he has cohones to interrupt the RAW Geenral Manager. The Legacy soon arriving is intriguing, but Cody Rhodes really should be built higher than Joe Hennig. A good set up for a triple threat Royal Rumble qualifying match. I can definitely see Dibiase winning. Elijah Burke winning the opening contest is fine, and not too bad of a start to the wrestling portion of the show. Burke beating MVP definitely elevated Burke's status, however. I am looking forward to see what goes down with Burke and Montel Vontavious Porter headed into the Royal Rumble. A match with these two at maybe No Way Out or Elimination Chamber would do Burke so good; even if MVP were to win. A good World Tag Team Championships defense by the British Alliance; very obvious that William Regal and Paul Burchill would defeat Cryme Tyme to retain, to be honest. Especially as Regal and Burchill's reign has been so short. Solid first hour main event, but very obvious that Ted Dibiase would advance. Shame about what you are doing with Cody Rhodes though, honestly. Hopefully he is built up in 2010. Evan Bourne overcoming Drew McIntyre; a great match, glad you haven't gone for the undefeated streak idea, but hoping that McIntyre's feud with Bourne isn't done yet. John Cena beating Kaval was likely, but great opportunity for the WWE Intercontinental Champion. Lastly, a weak main event if I'm honest, but I analyzed how Serena Mancini's character is like a female Triple H. Triple H getting himself disqualified against Batista and Mickie James adds to weakness, and whilst the post-match attack was nice; this ending to RAW is lame. Maybe a mixed tag main event would work in 2001 or 2004; but not anymore, honestly. It was a decent episode, aside from the main event.

Raw, a god opening by JBL, and the Legacy match should be good. Always good to see Elijah Burke with a victory, but I hope MVP doesn't just job out. He's a former WWE Champion, and he hasn't really done anything since losing the belt. I was hoping for Cryme Tyme to take the World Tag Team Championships here, tbh. Ted DiBiase was the right choice for the Triple Threat match, I think he has the brightest future. I was surprised to see Evan Bourne win here, but very pleased he did. A good victory for John Cena, not so good for Kaval though. A Mixed Tag Main Event is unique and works very well. A DQ ending wasn't expected, but it made sense looking at it again. The faces with the victory is good, and then to balance it out, the heels get the upper hand going into the Rumble. I hope to see Triple H retain the WWE Championship and Serena take the Womens Championship. Good Raw.

ECW opens with a video package showing how Carlito and Jack Swagger defeated Primo and Rey Mysterio last week because they assaulted Rey before the match. It then shows Swagger nail Rey with the Gutwrench Powerbomb after the match.Fireworks blast off signaling the start of our broadcast, followed by Todd Grisham and Byron Saxton welcoming us to the show. They remind us that tonight we will see the ten ECW Superstars who qualified for the Royal Rumble compete in an over the top Battle Royal, plus Rey Mysterio will take on Carlito and Jack Swagger faces Primo in non-title action! We are joined by Perfectly Awesome, who makes their way to the ring alongside the lovely Alicia Fox. They get in the ring and Miz grabs a microphone. He states that last week we witnessed a travesty when Dolph Ziggler lost to Bryan Danielson. Miz says that they weren’t bluffing when they promised to eliminate Danielson during the Rumble, but to really hammer their point home one of them will toss him out during tonight’s Battle Royal. Those expecting Danielson to come out to the stage were mistaken as Mr. Kennedy joined us instead. He tells Perfectly Awesome that nobody cares about what they have to say. They should just take their loss last week like men and stop whining. Kennedy appreciates big talkers like Perfectly Awesome, but only when they can back it up the way he does. Ever since he was the first ECW Superstar to qualify for the Royal Rumble, he’s been telling everybody that he’s going to win the whole thing and he will back up that claim this Sunday. Suddenly, he’s attacked from behind by Matt Hardy. Hardy beats down on Kennedy, sending him halfway down the ramp. Tommy Dreamer runs out to put a stop to this, but Perfectly Awesome interjects and takes him down. Bryan Danielson comes down as well to even the score. Zack Ryder joined the fray as well, followed by Yoshi Tatsu and Goldust. The ECW locker room is emptying and it’s leading to a huge brawl here. A lot of security attempts to break this up as we go to commercial. Commercial Break. The announcers put over the chaos we just witnessed and say that we’ll see even more of that in tonight’s battle royal main event. We are shown some replays of it going down before the cameras go to the back.
Kevin Thorn is shown in the back, in a dark room with Hade Vansen and Paradox. He says that waiting back here while everybody fought was the smart thing to do, because he’ll be well rested to win tonight’s battle royal. Then he’ll go on to win the Royal Rumble itself and take over WWE, the same way he took over ECW.Non-Title Match ECW Champion Jack Swagger vs. Primo Despite taking a two on one beating last week, Primo was riding high after his victory over his brother two weeks ago. He took that momentum into this match and used it to his advantage. Swagger tried to toy with the younger Colon and he was taking him too lightly. That allowed Primo to hit some of his signature high flying moves and pick up several near falls. In the end though, Swagger put him down with the Gutwrench Powerbomb. Winner: ECW Champion Jack Swagger (8:27) **¾
Commercial Break. We return to see and advertisement for this Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view and this ad focuses on the ECW stars in the match, as well as the Jack Swagger vs. Rey Mysterio ECW Title match.
Josh Matthews is standing by with Bryan Danielson. He asks him what he thinks of Perfectly Awesome’s promise to eliminate him both tonight and at the Royal Rumble. Danielson says that he doesn’t worry about anything they say because nothing will stop him from realizing his dream of winning the main event at WrestleMania and prove to the entire world that he is the best wrestler in the world.
Carlito is now shown walking towards the arena. His match with Rey Mysterio is coming up next!Commercial Break.
Singles Match Carlito vs. Rey Mysterio Carlito seems really rejuvenated by his new singles push. This was the best match he’s put on in a long time as he really seemed focused. Despite being a heel, he traded some high flying moves with Rey, though he mixed in some dirty tactics of course. He set up for the Back Stabber at one point, but Rey quickly dropped to the floor, not allowing it. Carlito was frustrated by this and went to pick up Rey, but was met with a small package to end it. Winner: Rey Mysterio (11:03) ***¼ Carlito was furious in the ring at the way he lost this match. Rey celebrated up the ramp as both he & Swagger have gained momentum heading into their big ECW Title showdown.Commercial Break.
Royal Rumble Preview Battle Royal Bryan Danielson vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Goldust vs. Kevin Thorn vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. Matt Hardy vs. The Miz vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Yoshi Tatsu vs. Television Champion Zack Ryder As with all Battle Royals, this started too cluttered to really get into any of the action. The first elimination came when Perfectly Awesome teamed up to toss out Tatsu. Goldust attempted to extract revenge by going after them and it worked for a short while, but he was tossed out by Miz. On the other side of the ring, Danielson had just tossed out Ryder, when Perfectly Awesome crept up behind him and flipped him over and out. They taunted him, until they were met by Dreamer and Kennedy, who hit them with stereo DDTs before launching them outside as well. The final four were all former ECW Champions. Dreamer and Kennedy stood opposite Thorn and Hardy and the four men brawled. Kennedy dropped Hardy with the Mic Check, but before he could throw him out, Thorn snuck up behind him to launch him out. Thorn traded fists with Dreamer and they went it at for a very short while. Dreamer had Thorn halfway out of the ring and he was trying to push him over the rest of the way. Hardy got back up at this point, came up behind Dreamer and sent both him and Thorn to the outside. Winner: Matt Hardy (12:37) *** Matt Hardy celebrated his win in the middle of the ring and taunted Dreamer and Kennedy as they headed up the ramp. Thorn was on the outside looking in furiously. Matt Hardy has just made a huge statement heading into the Rumble.© WWE 2010

ECW on SyFy: Tuesday 26th January 2010...Decent opening promo with Dolph Ziggler and The Miz, a good start to ECW with five days to spare before the Royal Rumble; finally on pay-per-view come Sunday. A few top stars from the brand got involved too, which I found very entertaining and it will be more surprising about whom will win the main event battle royal. Primo had a good shot against the ECW Champion, Jack Swagger with Swagger winning. That decision was for the best if you ask me. Rey Mysterio beating Carlito was put in an odd position on the card if you ask me, but good win for Mysterio against Carlito. Lastly, solid main event battle royal with Matt Hardy winning. I can't see either of these men winning the Royal Rumble, but a good run-up show headed into the Rumble. I liked Swagger and Mysterio's involvements with the former Primo and Carlito as well.

ECW, love the sound of the Carlito/Mysterio and Swagger/Primo matches, I really like this Carlito push. A great way to open up the final ECW before the Royal Rumble, and the BAttle Royal should be good. I know I repeat this every show, but I definitely see Mr. Kennedy winning it all this Sunday. Obvious victory for Jack Swagger over Primo, wouldn't have gone any other way. And again, an obvious victory for Rey Mysterio, going into the ECW Championship match. Matt Hardy winning the Battle Royal surprised and pleased me. He won't win the Rumble, but winning this definitely makes him a contender. On the ECW side of things, you're doing great. I hope Jack Swagger retains the ECW Championship and Kennedy wins the Rumble. Good show.

- Good way to open up ECW with Miz/Ziggler/Kennedy. - Swagger defeating Primo was the right decision and pretty obvious. - Another right and obvious decision to have Mysterio go over Carlito. - Surprised to see Hardy win the battle royal, but it's awesome to see.
Good ECW, looking forward to RR.

-Perfectly Awesome and Mr. Kennedy kicking off ECW is nice. -Swagger is going great on ECW. Glad Primo put up a good fight but I knew Swagger would win. -Mysterio vs. Carlito sounds awesome. Glad Mysterio won. -Hardy winning was my great! He was my favorite to win and now I hope this cements a nice push for him into ECW Title status. Hope he's the one who takes the ECW Title from Swagger but not for a very, very long time now. -Good ECW.

ECW was a great show, Kev. The opening segment done its job to set up the battle royal later in the night. I love the mash-up you've got going for Perfectly Awesome's theme. Not shocked to see Swagger beat Primo, as he has to look good heading into the Royal Rumble show. Carlito vs. Rey Mysterio is a fantastic contest, really great match. Rey winning seemed right, purely because of his title match with Swagger at the Royal Rumble. I'm totally undecided on who is going to win their encounter. Wouldn't mind seeing Rey win. Matt Hardy winning the battle royal came as a shock to me. I can't see him winning the Rumble, though. I'm gonna go with Edge or Jericho to win the Rumble.

RAW: JBL using Batista to put himself over is clever. I like JBL making peoples minds up for them, a triple threat sounds great. Glad Burke won, he needs the IC Title or something. Happy to see the BA retain, glad their defending. Ted DiBise winning the Triple Threat is good, would've made him look weak with any other result. Glad Bourne won, a little revenge. Happy Cena defeated the IC Champion, who desperatley needs to defend that title. Not sure on a mixed tag main event, maybe it just doesn't appeal to me. A dq finish is cool, just I wasn't sure on the main event. Good show overall however.
ECW: Can't wait for the Rumble and the Battle Royal, loved the whole attack. The ECW Champion opening up is different and it worked, to get him over. Glad Rey won, else he'd look weak after Swagger beat Primo. Glad Hardy won, he kinda needed it and I'm happy the Battle Royal main event, the Royal Rumble line-up for ECW looks strong and I really can't wait.

Smackdown’s opening video package shows Shelton Benjamin retain the World Heavyweight Title against Kofi Kingston in his open challenge. Then it showed Benjamin and Punk staring each other down to close the show.Jim Ross and Matt Striker welcome us to another exciting edition of Friday Night Smackdown right after the opening pyrotechnics shoot off. Ross promotes our huge main event between CM Punk and Edge, while Striker reminds us that we’ll see another Shelton Benjamin open challenge as well as a Royal Rumble preview tag team match.Randy Orton joins us to open tonight’s broadcast. He’s in jeans and his new WWEShop.com t-shirt. Orton gets in the ring and begins to talk about last week, when his promo was cut off by Jeff Hardy via satellite. Orton claims that Jeff wasn’t man enough to meet him face to face last week. He does remember Jeff saying that he’ll return at the Royal Rumble this Sunday, and Randy promises to greet him well. He’ll greet him by launching him over the top rope and ending his WrestleMania dreams. He said that a few weeks back he nearly punted Jeff’s head off and he will officially do just that this Sunday for sure. He promises the WWE Universe that he will end their precious hero, Jeff Hardy in two night’s time and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Commercial Break. Stephanie McMahon and Vickie Guerrero are shown in their office when a knock is heard. The Big Show enters and simply tells the General Managers that he’s going to be the one tonight to accept Shelton Benjamin’s open challenge. Stephanie tells him that’s fine because he is the first person to approach her about it. Show says he may not need the Royal Rumble to be involved in the main event at WrestleMania, because he’ll be Champions going into that night.Tag Team Match Kofi Kingston & Tyler Black vs. United States Champion John Morrison & Sheamus The true star of this match turned out to be Sheamus as he used his physical advantage to take charge. He overpowered both Black and Kingston, and when he had Kingston down, Morrison blind tagged himself in. Sheamus disliked that but went to the apron anyway. Morrison quickly nailed the Starship Pain on Kingston for the win. Winners: United States Champion John Morrison & Sheamus (10:56) **¾ John Morrison began to celebrate after the match but was met with a huge Bicycle Kick from Sheamus. Tyler Black ran in and got the same treatment. He raised his arms in the air and celebrated his dominance.Commercial Break. Josh Matthews is standing by backstage alongside the Dudebusters, who will be facing Paul London and Brian Kendrick in a non-title match tonight. If they win, they’ll earn a title shot. He asks them how they feel entering tonight’s match when they lost in their Royal Rumble qualifier last week. Baretta shrugs off last week’s loss, saying that it was a fluke and Tatsu and Goldust got lucky. Croft says that tonight, The Dudebusters will move one step closer to the WWE Tag Team Titles, which will be awesome. They fist bump before we cut away.Non-Title Match April Lee w/ Gail Kim vs. Divas Champion Maryse Once again, Lee shows that Kim’s mentorship is turning her into a rising star in the Divas division. She went toe to toe with the Champion and nearly pinned her on two occasions, but the Champ turned out to be too much for her. Maryse put the rookie Diva away with the French Kiss. Winner: Divas Champion Maryse (4:47) **
Commercial Break. A Royal Rumble promo is shown, this one focusing on the World Heavyweight Title match between Shelton Benjamin and CM Punk and the Smackdown superstars involved in the Rumble match itself.
Angela Fong is now shown with Michelle McCool. She says that McCool requested this interview time. McCool snatches the microphone and says that she sees a big problem with the Divas division on Smackdown. She claims to be the best and most dominant Diva on the brand, yet she doesn’t hold the Divas Championship. Instead it is held by a woman who won it in a bra & panties match. She says that things aren’t fair on Smackdown, but since we already know that she’s the best Friday nights have to offer, maybe a move to Monday nights will showcase her better.Shelton Benjamin makes his way to the ring now, with the World Title around his waist. He gets in the ring and says that he heard earlier tonight that the Big Show accepted his open challenge for tonight. Benjamin says that he didn’t like that at first, but remembered that he defeated Big Show in his own type of match back at SummerSlam. Benjamin says that he’s going to enter the Royal Rumble with the World Title firmly around his waist. Commercial Break.
World Heavyweight Championship Shelton Benjamin (c) vs. Big Show These two had some solid bouts over the summer and this was no different. Show was his usual self as he dominated the early stages of the match with his strength. Shelton then targeted Show’s legs, which helped him take some control. In the end though, Show managed to nail Shelton with the Knockout Punch. As he punched him, Sheamus was running in from the crowd. He got in the ring and nailed Big Show with a Bicycle Kick to the back of the head, causing the disqualification. Winner via Disqualification: Big Show (9:52) **¾Show went down rather fast from the kick and Sheamus stayed in the ring raising his arms high. He really has made an impact heading into the Royal Rumble and has to be one of the favorites to win it all.Commercial Break. Josh Matthews is standing by with Chris Jericho when we return. He asks Jericho about not having a match tonight, which doesn’t give him a chance to gain momentum going into the Royal Rumble. Jericho says that unlike Sheamus and the other guys in the Rumble, he doesn’t need momentum. He says that he is the best in the world at what he does and he’ll prove it once again this Sunday.Non-Title Tag Team Match The Dudebusters vs. WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick This was a solid back and forth tag team contest for a while, until the Dudebusters cut the ring in half. They focused on Kendrick and hit him with a few double team moves. Instead of getting to make the hot tag, the Dudebusters made sure that didn’t happen as they finished off Kendrick with the Dudebuster [powerbomb/neck breaker combo]. Winners: The Dudebusters (8:51) **¾ Even with the win, the Dudebusters attacked the Champions after the match. They were stomping on both London and Kendrick to the crowd’s dismay. The New Hart Foundation, who we haven’t seen in a few weeks, ran down and stopped this assault. They took out The Dudebusters and hit Croft with the Hart Attack. They then helped up the Champions, and left everybody surprised by their good deed.Commercial Break. The New Hart Foundation and the WWE Tag Team Champions are shown backstage. London and Kendrick thank them for their help, but say that they still do not trust them. TJ Wilson says he understands that, but says they’ve changed. He says that losing the WWE Tag Team Titles humbled them and they left to go see the man who trained them all, Bret Hart. The crowd popped huge at his name and the two tag teams shook hands.Singles Match CM Punk vs. Edge Back at No Mercy and Cyber Sunday, these two met in two classic bouts and tonight was great as well. They got a lot of time and they used it well. Both guys got to hit their signature moves, but Punk was in control near the end. He hit his knee strike/bulldog combo in the corner for a near fall. He then attempted to lock in the Anaconda Vise, but Edge quickly reached the ropes. They got up at the same time and Edge hooked him for the Edgecution, only for Punk to reverse it into a Northern lights suplex for another near fall. Punk picked him up for the GTS, but Edge raked his eyes and pushed him into the corner. He went for the Spear, but Punk moved and Edge hit the corner. Punk lifted him and hit the GTS for the win. Winner: CM Punk (12:14) ***¼ Before Punk could even celebrate, Shelton Benjamin ran down, snuck in the ring and drilled him with Paydirt. Benjamin gets the last laugh heading into their big showdown this Sunday.© WWE 2010

SmackDown!: Decent opening promo, I'dve liked something, bigger though. It did it's job however. Glad Morrison got the pinfall, Sheamus' post-match attacks were good, gets him over. I'd love for the Dudebusters to be contenders. I like April Lee, Maryse winning is fine though. Big Show vs. Benjamin sounds good. Sheamus is dominating today, I like the DQ finish which keeps both opponents strong. Glad the Dudbusters went over there, creates new contenders. Hart Foundation face turn? I like. Punk beating Edge is cool, gives him momentum as does it for Benjamin with his attack. Good show, can't wait for the Rumble.

SmackethDown, good opening promo by Orton, I am so pumped for the Rumble. Big Show is a 'tall order' for Shelton Benjamin tonight, but I see a DQ finish coming from somewhere. Good victory for John Morrison and Sheamus, I have a feeling Tyler Black is going to take the United States Championship at the Rumble. Good victory for Maryse, but I'm glad you put over April Lee. As expected, the DQ finish gives Show the victory, but Benjamin keeps the gold. A Sheamus/Show feud is interesting, mind you. I am pleased to see The Dudebusters get a victory here, I would love to see them take the Tag Titles eventually. A Hart Dynasty face turn? Nice. CM Punk over Edge makes sense with Punk facing Benjamin in two nights at the Royal Rumble. I'm pleased to see Benjamin get the last laugh with a Paydirt. Your Royal Rumble really has me pumped, Kev, I can't wait for you to post it. Post it now! Haha.

Your Royal Rumble really has me pumped, Kev, I can't wait for you to post it. Post it now! Haha. So true. -Solid opener for Orton. Orton saying he'll crush his WM dreams is sweet. -Sheamus and Morrison winning was good. The post match on Sheamus's dominance was good too. -Love that Maryse beat Lee despite a valiant effort. -Show winning via DQ is good as it keeps both men strong. -Kendrick and London losing to the Dudebusters is decent as it sets up potential contenders. -Punk beating Edge is alright. But I'd love to see Edge beat Punk atleast once though. But it gives momentum so it's alright. -Good SmackDown

- Decent opening promo from Orton. Expecting Jeff to eliminate him at RR. - Show vs Benjamin in a rematch from their feud last year shall be good. - Nice to see Sheamus and Morrison picking up the win on their opponents. - Maryse beating Lee is good, as it gives Maryse some momentum. - Show winning by DQ, thanks to Sheamus, is good. Sheamus/Show would be interesting. - The Dudebusters picking up a non-title win on the champs shall give them a better chance now. - Punk defeating Edge in the main event was the right call, and Shelton's blindside was good.
Good Smackdown.
