Very solid ECW. I enjoyed the read. Nice to see Danielson there, as well as a good match between Carlito and Primo. Liked the last segment, thought it was well written. Liking what you're doing with Swagger. I'm interested to see him migrate to a bigger show in the future.

January 15th, 2010 Kohl Center [University of Wisconsin-Madison] in Madison, Wisconsin Attendance: 14,142
This week’s Smackdown opening video package shows highlights of last week’s tag team main event. It closes by showing Randy Orton deliver RKOs to both Jeff Hardy and CM Punk. He finished the assault off by nailing Jeff with a vicious punt.Fireworks explode as we are welcomed to Smackdown by our announce team of Jim Ross and Matt Striker. They promote tonight’s main event between Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston as well as World Champion Shelton Benjamin’s open challenge. Plus, we will have an update on Jeff Hardy’s condition!“This Fire Burns” hits as CM Punk makes his way down to ringside. He gets in the ring and begins to talk about Armageddon. He says that Shelton Benjamin is a smart man. He cashed in his Money in the Bank at the right time, which is something Punk knows a lot about. He respects what Shelton did because he earned the right to do so at WrestleMania. But what he doesn’t respect is Shelton himself. He carries himself like he’s better than the rest of the roster and thinks that because he’s World Champion, everything should now be handed to him on a silver platter. Punk claims that at the Royal Rumble, Shelton’s going to have to earn his victory and he’ll make sure it’s not easy. Before Punk can continue, he is cut off by “The Celtic Warrior”, Sheamus. Sheamus walks down and gets in the ring. He says that he’s already tired of hearing Punk speak. He claims to be a man of action, just like he was two weeks ago when he retired his Uncle Finlay and last week when he defeated Kofi Kingston. He tells Punk that he wants to make a huge impact before the Rumble and to do so; he’s going to destroy Punk right now. Singles Match CM Punk vs. Sheamus A referee ran down as Sheamus was on his way and an impromptu match began. Sheamus seemed hell bent on just hurting Punk as he attacked him once the bell rang. Sheamus hit Punk with numerous power moves and wore down the former World Champion. Eventually, Sheamus taunted the crowd one too many times, which allowed Punk to connect with some martial arts style slaps and kicks. He hit some trademark moves after that and called for the GTS. He hoisted Sheamus up, but he broke free. Sheamus went for the Bicycle Kick but Punk ducked it and hit the GTS anyway for the win. Winner: CM Punk (10:09) ***¼
Commercial Break. An advertisement for the returning Undertaker is shown, reminding us that the return happens on January 31st at the Royal Rumble!
Josh Matthews is now seen standing by with Randy Orton. He asks Orton why he punted Jeff Hardy in the head last week. Orton keeps a very straight face and says that there’s a very simple reason. He did it because he can. He did it because he wanted to. He did it because nobody can stop him when he wants to do something. Orton finishes the interview by saying he hopes Hardy is seriously injured and maybe so hurt that he’ll have to retire.Divas Match Kelly Kelly vs. Michelle McCool McCool once again displayed her new heel attitude as she just abused Kelly. Kelly did get some offense in, but the story was McCool. She dominated throughout and picked up the victory after making Kelly tap out to the MADT heel hook [make a diva tap]. Winner: Michelle McCool (4:33) *¾ We now see Gail Kim in the back with AJ Lee. Kim calls her April Lee indicating a name change for the new Diva. Kim says that she sees Lee as the future of the Divas in WWE and she wants to help her along the way. Lee says that she would love that and they begin to talk strategy it seems.Commercial Break. Shelton Benjamin comes down to the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd. He gets in the ring and on the microphone. He announces that his open challenge to anyone in the locker room for a shot at the World Heavyweight Title begins now. So he calls out whomever the stupid Superstar who thinks they have a chance. The theme of the Technicians hits as Charlie Haas makes his way out to the stage ready for action, while Jamie Noble is behind in street clothes. Shelton looks shocked to see his former partner accept the challenge.World Heavyweight Championship Shelton Benjamin (c) vs. Charlie Haas w/ Jamie Noble Before the match, Shelton surprisingly shook hands with Haas. Being former partners, these two have great chemistry together. They battled on the mat for a short while, with Haas getting the better of that exchange. Shelton took control back by nailing some of his power moves like the Shell Bomb and T-Bone for near falls. Haas retaliated with a T-Bone throw and a beautiful German suplex for near falls as well. At one point, Haas came very close to a three count with a small package. Haas surprisingly climbed to the top, but Shelton leaped to the top to meet him there. He quickly connected with a top rope arm drag. He stalked Haas until he got up and connected with the Paydirt for the win. Winner and Still World Heavyweight Champion: Shelton Benjamin (10:49) ***½ After the match, Benjamin got on the microphone and announced that he will have another open challenge next week on Smackdown to once again prove that he’s the best Champion in WWE history.Commercial Break. Chris Jericho makes his way down to the ring, dressed in a suit. He gets on the microphone and begins to talk. He says that people have been calling him a coward ever since he walked out of his match with the Big Show last week. Jericho promises the WWE Universe that that is not the case. He says that he was just being smart. If he would’ve stayed in the ring with the seven foot giant any longer he could’ve risked injury before the Royal Rumble, which he guarantees to win. He is cut off by Edge who comes down and gets in the ring. Edge asks if he heard right, because there’s no way Jericho can guarantee a Royal Rumble victory knowing that the Rated R Superstar is in the match. He won last year and will repeat, no matter what. Big Show’s theme hits as he comes out to the stage. Show addresses Jericho’s cowardice first, saying that knows he got counted out because of fear. Then he addresses the Royal Rumble match itself. Show reminds Edge that he rightfully won the match back in 2000 and ten years later, he’s still the best choice to win again. He admits that the end of his career is near, but headlining WrestleMania one more time is the way he plans on going out. Jericho laughs at this and says there is no way he’ll eliminate either himself or Edge. Before Show can speak again he is attacked from behind by Sheamus. Once Show gets up, Sheamus connects with a Bicycle Kick on him. He picks up the microphone and just says that he’s going to win the Rumble, because he doesn’t have to talk about it, he goes out and proves it. At this point, Jericho turns to Edge and is met with a Spear. Edge and Sheamus stare each other down as we cut away. Commercial Break. Jim Ross and Matt Striker announce that next week on Smackdown, we will witness two big singles matches. Sheamus will go one on one with the Big Show, while Chris Jericho will take on Edge!Match Five in Best of Seven Series United States Champion John Morrison vs. Tyler Black This was the worst match of the series, but it wasn’t bad by any definition. Both guys were desperate to pull out a win and take a 3-2 lead, so they both tried various pinning combinations. Morrison nailed Black with a low blow near the end and followed it up with a super kick. He then climbed to the top and nailed the Starship Pain to gain victory. Winner: United States Champion John Morrison (9:25) **¾ The announcers now update us on the injury of Jeff Hardy after he got punted by Randy Orton last week. They say that he suffered a concussion and will be out of action until the Royal Rumble. He promises the WWE Universe that he will be in the Royal Rumble and plans on headlining WrestleMania XXVI. The crowd cheers as they hear this.Commercial Break.
Six Person Inter-Gender Tag Team Match WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick & Gail Kim vs. The Dudebusters & Divas Champion Maryse This was your usual six person match, with the females interacting with each other only. The teams squaring off turned out to be good stuff as a feud between these four should be great. The match didn’t last too long but after a power bomb/neck breaker combo, Baretta pinned London for the win. Winners: The Dudebusters & Divas Champion Maryse (7:28) **½
Commercial Break.
Singles Match Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton Once again, Kingston was given a chance to compete with a top heel on Smackdown and he shined. The crowd got behind Kofi was Orton beat him down in the early stages on the match. Orton latched in a rear chin lock and Kofi rallied out of it behind the crowd’s cheers. He sent Orton off the ropes and nailed a back body drop. He followed it up with the Boom Drop for a near fall. He went to pick up Orton after a monkey flip later in the match, but Orton went for the RKO. Kofi quickly pushed him off and nailed Trouble in Paradise from out of nowhere for the upset victory. Winner: Kofi Kingston (13:44) ***¼ Kingston celebrated along with the crowd as Orton was laid out in the ring. Kofi left up the ramp and pointed at the Royal Rumble sign on the stage, signaling that he was going to win it all that night.© WWE 2010

SmackDown, I love this opening segment, simply because it is the beginning of a bright future for Sheamus. I was hoping for Sheamus to pick up the victory here, but looking at it, it was obvious that CM Punk would win. I am just pleased you are giving Sheamus something to do, and I hope it lasts. Michelle McCool over Kelly Kelly was obvious, tbh. I see you're debuting April Lee as well, haha. Wow, Charlie Haas accepting the challenge adn getting a World Heavyweight Championship match, lmao, Haas doesn't stand a chance. Extremely obvious victory for Shelton Benjamin, I really hope he lasts through these challenges of his, eventually losing to a Upper Carder who needs the push. Great segment with Jericho, Edge, Big Show and Sheamus. But if I'm honest, I'm still standing by Mr. Kennedy from ECW going on to win the Rumble, just got a gut feeling. John Morrison beating Tyler Black is good, I hope Morrison retains the title in the end, and it's looking good for him now. Always good to see The Dudebusters pick up the victory, I'd love to see them as the WWE Tag Team Champions. Kofi Kingston with a victory over Randy Orton is fantastic, I really hope Kingston gets a mega-push. Great SmackDown.

WWE SmackDown: Friday 15th January 2010...Decent promo to start up SmackDown tonight with CM Punk cutting a promo regarding the Road to WrestleMania XXVI. CM Punk and Sheamus to start things off on SmackDown tonight is good, and it was a good start to the program. Good win for Punk but slightly affected Sheamus' momentum if you honestly ask me. Next, Michelle McCool overcoming Kelly Kelly was predictable. I see Gail Kim and April Lee having a strange relationship in the future; maybe a heel turn could occur in months to come. McCool and Lee have an interesting situation too. Decent pre-match promo by Shelton Benjamin setting things up for an open challenge. I don't see too much logic though personally, as to defending the World Heavyweight Championship tonight knowing about his match at the Royal Rumble in two weeks. Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas meeting was a good first-hour main event; The Technicians have really slipped. Good match, but ever so predictable that Shelton would beat Haas. Chris Jericho being interrupted by Big Show was interesting; a good promo there setting up the Rumble further. Surprisingly pretty weak match between John Morrison and Tyler Black, but still a good match; very enjoyable and good win for John Morrison, now even going into the Royal Rumble where this WWE United States Championship feud hopefully reaches an end. I always like your combinations; good six-person tag team bout with Maryse teaming with The Dudebusters and Gail Kim with Paul London and Brian Kendrick; suppose we're reaching a new threat to the WWE Tag Team Championships. Lastly, good main event with Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton in the main event; good match, Kofi winning is fine. A great main event that elevated Kofi; and a decent show.

- Solid opening promo from Punk, Sheamus interrupted and leading to a match is good. - Very pleased to see Punk win, only because it wouldn't be right for Sheamus to win here. - Solid, short, interview from Orton and good for McCool getting the victory as she's better then K2. - Love that Haas took the challenge against Benjamin, but it is very obvious he wouldn't win. - Good promo between Jericho, Edge, Show, Sheamus basically stating they'll be the rumble winner. - Morrison taking a series lead of 3-2 is good. But expecting the full seven matches up to RR. - Kim and Londrick vs Maryse and Dudebusters is pretty good pairing. Glad the heels won. - Great main event to have with Kingston and Orton. Great Kofi won as it elevates him.
Good show as usual.

January 18th, 2010 Thompson-Boiling Arena [University of Tennessee] in Knoxville, Tennessee Attendance: 20,920
Raw kicks off with a video package starting with Ted Dibiase Jr.’s announcement that he bought out the contract of Eric Bischoff and tonight we will see a new General Manager. Then it shows MVP and Batista defeat Triple H and Kane in tag team action.Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole welcome us to another edition of Monday Night Raw, and announce that we’re going to be headlined by a Triple Threat match featuring Batista, John Cena and Ted Dibiase Jr. They are cut off by a familiar theme.John “Bradshaw” Layfield surprises everyone as a limo pulls up and he gets out. He walks down to the ring in a suit and gets on a microphone. He announces to everybody here in Tennessee that they are looking at the new General Manager of Raw. The crowd boos heavily at this announcement. He ignores this and says that his first act as GM was to make tonight’s triple threat main event. Besides just being a huge main event, a stipulation will be added to the match. The winner of that match will face Triple H at the Royal Rumble, so if Dibiase or Cena win, Batista will take their spot in the Rumble instead. This brings out Batista, who gets right in the ring and in JBL’s face. He demands to know why JBL has decided to put his title shot that he earned at Armageddon on the line. JBL claims that it’s all about making an impact on his first night as GM. Batista says that JBL is doing this because of past issues between the two of them. JBL says that he isn’t a petty person like that and he’d do this no matter who the number one contender was. Batista says he knows that’s not the case, and Ted Dibiase Jr. comes out to interject. He stays at the top of the ramp and at first, congratulates JBL on becoming GM. He states that when he bought out Bischoff’s contract, JBL was the kind of man he wanted as the replacement. He says that tonight he’ll earn a shot at the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble and go on to headline WrestleMania XXVI as Champion and not challenger. Batista turns to JBL and says that since he can’t do anything to change the main event, he’s just going to win it and do the same again at the Royal Rumble. Commercial Break. JBL is shown in his office, enjoying his new position on Raw. He kicks his feet up on the desk and leans back with a smile. MVP bursts in and is upset that JBL is back on Raw. He thought he was done with JBL last summer. JBL says he’ll always be around in some capacity, but asks what MVP wants. MVP wants to know why he isn’t going to be involved in the main event for a shot at the WWE Title. JBL tells him that he’s already booked tonight. MVP asks who he’s facing and JBL tells him that he’ll be meeting Kane in a no disqualification match! MVP likes the sound of that and leaves.Singles Match [Royal Rumble Qualifier] Drew McIntyre vs. Evan Bourne McIntyre impressed in his first match so far as he took Bourne to the limit. He wore down the high flyer with some rest holds and worked over Bourne’s neck. Bourne made a comeback after hitting an enziguri and a hurricanrana. He climbed to the top and set up for the Shooting Star Press, but McIntyre got up and shook the ropes to knock him off. He then connected with what is called the Scot Drop [snap double arm DDT] for the surprisingly clean win. Winner: Drew McIntyre (9:16) *** McIntyre has pretty much shocked the world as he’s now qualified for the Royal Rumble in just his first match.Commercial Break.
Singles Match World Tag Team Champion Paul Burchill w/ The British Alliance vs. Shad w/ JTG This was slightly better than last week’s encounter between Regal and JTG, as Shad was impressive in the ring. He used his brute strength to take the advantage in this contest, but Burchill was powerful enough to overcome it. In the end, Burchill picked up the win with a Curb Stomp. Winner: World Tag Team Champion Paul Burchill (6:34) **½ After the match, JBL’s face appeared on the titantron. He announced that since the two teams split their singles contests we will see a tiebreaker next week. But this tiebreaker will be a World Tag Team Title match next week! The crowd likes the sound of that, but the British Alliance look disappointed.Commercial Break. A short video package is shown highlighting the short feud between MVP and Kane, which goes back to a double count out they had in their first encounter the night after Armageddon. No Disqualification Kane w/ Paul Bearer vs. MVP This feud turned out to be short lived as this was basically used as their final encounter. After some early back and forth stuff, the action spilled to the outside. While there, Kane choked MVP with some ringside cables. He then cleared off the announce table and set up for a chokeslam through it. MVP kicked his way out of it and nailed the Drive By on the outside. Pins weren’t allowed outside, so MVP struggled to roll him back inside. Kaval ran down to interfere and he connected with a stiff running kick to the head. Kane attempted to cover MVP but he just managed to kick out at two. Kane went and got a steel chair, but MVP kicked him before he could use it. He then nailed Kane with it three times and hit Kaval once when he got on the apron. MVP then hit the Drive By one more time for the win. Winner: MVP (12:47) ***¼
Commercial Break. Josh Matthews is shown standing by with Serena Mancini. He asks Serena about the possibility of Beth Phoenix softening up Mickie James tonight before their Royal Rumble match. Serena says that it doesn’t matter what Beth does tonight because she knows she’s going to beat James no matter what at the Rumble. She then promises to run over the entire Women’s division in the WWE.Tag Team Match Legacy vs. Tyler Reks & Johnny Curtis Reks and Curtis surprised a lot of people here as this wasn’t a squash at all. The crowd actually got behind them as they Curtis rallied to get the hot tag to Reks. He came in on fire and nailed both of his opponents with some nice moves. The finish came after Hennig nailed Reks with a suplex. Rhodes wanted the tag and the two of them got into an argument. That allowed Reks time to get up and he nailed Hennig, sending him into Rhodes and knocking him off the apron. He then hit a bulldog and the Big Kahuna [springboard moonsault] for the upset win. Winners: Tyler Reks & Johnny Curtis (7:03) **¾ JBL is once again shown in his office when Elijah Burke enters. Burke wants to know why he isn’t on tonight’s show, just one week after taking John Cena to the limit. JBL says that he decided to give Burke the night off, but he’ll be in action next week. There will be four singles matches next week, involving stars who will be participating in the Royal Rumble and Burke will be in one of them, taking on MVP! Burke likes the idea and leaves with a smile.Commercial Break. Ted Dibiase Jr. is shown trying to keep the peace between Cody Rhodes and Joe Hennig as they argue over the loss they were just dealt. Rhodes says something about Hennig holding him back and then walks off as Dibiase stays with Hennig to help calm him down.Non-Title Match Beth Phoenix vs. Women’s Champion Mickie James Whenever these two meet it’s usually a very good match and tonight was no exception. Beth dominated the early stages with some power moves and locked James in a bear hug at one point. The crowd helped James rally out of it and eventually, she put away her old rival with the Mick Kick. Winner: Women’s Champion Mickie James (6:05) **½
Commercial Break.
Triple Threat Match [Winner Gets WWE Title Shot at Royal Rumble] Batista vs. John Cena vs. Ted Dibiase Jr. WWE Champion Triple H was on commentary during this main event bout. Both Batista and Cena wanted to get their hands on Dibiase and they took turns beating on him in the early goings. Cena launched him to the outside with a huge clothesline. That left Cena and Batista to battle in the ring, which the crowd ate up. Both men had several near falls, until Cena dropped him with the FU. He went for the cover, but Dibiase got in and broke up the count. He did battle with Cena for a few when he hit the Dream Street from out of nowhere. He got up and taunted but was met with a spine buster from Batista, followed by the Batista Bomb for the win. Winner: Batista (11:41) *** Once Batista won, he got up and pointed right at Triple H. Triple H raised his title high and said Batista will never have this. He says that Batista got lucky and took the Title from him once, but it won’t happen again. Batista goes to the outside to get in his face, but Triple H quickly hops over the rail and retreats through the crowd.© WWE 2010

I replied but my computer froze so I couldn't press reply and I lost the full reply. To summarise RAW and SmackDown were great, I love JBL as GM and the decision's he made. I liked Sheamus interrupting Punk alot, Morrison retaking the lead and Kofi winning in the main event of SmackDown! great show, sorry you didn't get a full reply this time.

WWE RAW: Monday 18th January 2010...Alright, six days away from Royal Rumble aren't we? Oh wait, no, thirteen days. The road to Rumble seems more aggressive than the Road to WrestleMania, honestly. John Bradshaw Layfield's promo was a solid start to the program, and him as the new General Manager of RAW is good. Nice for Batista and Ted DIbiase to come out; intrigued for this big triple threat main event also. No John Cena involvement in this promo was odd though. Hmm, MVP and Kane later on sounds good to me in No Disqualification. Drew McIntyre if you ask me is a little too soon to be entered into the Royal Rumble match as this was his debut match, am I right? And he has momentum now, but he definitely won't be winning the Rumble. And that will kill his credibility. Also, I can see Evan Bourne in the Rumble match anyway. Paul Burchill defeating Shad Gaspard is fine; not too bad a match I suppose. Interested in the JBL announcement; he is making an impact with all of these announcements tonight. MVP defeating Kane was a solid first-hour main event and the final time these two will fight hopefully. What the, Tyler Reks and Johnny Curtis with a chance of getting over? Surprised majorly by their win against Joe Hennig and Brett Dibiase. Wasn't expecting it at all and I am surprise what will happen with them now. I expect a World Tag Team Championships shot or push, then disintergrating back into nothingness. Mickie James and Beth Phoenix seems like a pay-per-view quality match honestly; but good win for the WWE Womens Champion. Serena Mancini? Where is she tonight. Lastly, great contenders triple threat; Batista retaining his shot at Triple H's WWE Champiosnhip seemed expected though. A good show on the way to Rumble.

Like JBL as GM. Surprised at Reks/Curtis winning, but I guess it was OK since it was basically due to Legacy dissention. Really looking forward to the Rumble. For some reason Id like to see Taker win it and face HHH.

-Solid to have JBL as new GM of RAW. -McIntyre winning his first match is solid as well. -Burchill beating Shad is fine. I predict Cryme Tyme splitting in the future. -M.V.P winning this match is decent. Preferred to Kane to get the last laugh but they'd have a nice match at WM. ;D -Not a fan of Reks and Curtis so not happy to see them beat Legacy here. But an upset here and there is nice. -Batista winning was the right call here. Hope to see the Cena/DiBiase feud continue maybe into Mania'.

1/19/10 Edition-The decision to bring John "Bradshaw" Layfield in as Raw General Manager was made a while ago. Creative felt that Bischoff's run was lackluster and he just didn't seem to have the same passion for the business that he once had. -Ted Dibiase Jr. is set to become the face of the Raw brand in 2010. There are no current plans to move him in the draft and he's expected to get a major push since he's doing so well in his main event opportunities now. -WrestleMania XXVI's Money in the Bank will be the first to include ten WWE Superstars. This was just decided last night as the current 'Mania card had left some stars off, but they were now added to the Money in the Bank plans. -Vince McMahon is rather worried as a few of his top stars are planning to retire in 2010. Finlay already has retired, while Kane, Big Show and Batista are all planning on going out this year.

This week’s ECW opened with a short video package showing Primo beating Carlito as well as the highlights from the contract signing between Rey Mysterio and Jack Swagger.Todd Grisham and Byron Saxton welcome everyone to tonight’s edition of ECW which is sure to be exciting. Tonight’s main event is a tag team match pitting ECW Champion Jack Swagger and Carlito against Rey Mysterio and Primo. We’ll also see an Extreme Rules match as well as Zack Ryder taking on Mr. Kennedy!Theodore Long came down to the ring to open the show. He got on the microphone and began to talk about how proud he’s been of ECW lately. He feels that it is the best of the three brands at the moment and he believes that it is because of the array of talent he’s put together. He is cut off by Perfectly Awesome, who comes down to the ring alongside Alicia Fox. They get in the ring and Dolph Ziggler gets on the microphone. He tells Teddy that he is mistaken. The only real reason that ECW has been perfectly awesome lately is simply because of Perfectly Awesome. He says that he and The Miz are not only the best part of ECW, but they were the best part of Raw. Teddy says that he disagrees because the entire ECW roster is great, not just them two. He says the real reason he came out here tonight was to announce that next week, all of the ECW superstars who qualified for the Royal Rumble will compete in an over the top rope battle royal. But now that Ziggler is out here, Long will put him up against one of the guys who makes ECW so great, Bryan Danielson! Singles Match Bryan Danielson vs. Dolph Ziggler w/ Alicia Fox & The Miz These two stole the show tonight as they put on a great match. Danielson used his mat wrestling ability to work over Dolph’s back. Dolph ended up taking control after a huge German suplex. He attempted to nail the Zig Zag but Danielson held onto the top rope causing him to crash and burn. He waited for Dolph to get up and hit a beautiful bridging Tiger suplex. Ziggler kicked out at two, but Danielson refused to let go and locked in the Cattle Mutilation, which forced Dolph to tap out. Winner: Bryan Danielson (10:21) ***½ The Miz tried to run in and nail Danielson, but he quickly snuck out of the ring and left up the ramp with his arm held high in victory.Commercial Break. Angela Fong is shown backstage, standing by with ECW’s resident “Black Cloud”, Matt Hardy. She asks him about next week’s over the top rope battle royal which he will be involved in. Matt says that he will easily win the battle royal next week, just like he’s going to win the Royal Rumble. He promises to win the main event of WrestleMania and prove once and for all that he’s true star of the WWE.Non-Title Match Mr. Kennedy vs. Television Champion Zack Ryder w/ Courtney This stemmed from their altercation last week, where Kennedy drilled Ryder with the Mic Check. Ryder was surprisingly in control early on. He used some of his signature moves to do so, including his leg lariat. Kennedy used the crowd to help him regain some control and he eventually put away the TV Champion with the Mic Check. Winner: Mr. Kennedy (8:26) **¾ After the match, Kennedy had the microphone drop from the ceiling and he announced himself as the winner of the match, just like he’s going to be in next week’s battle royal.Commercial Break. Teddy Long is in his office, speaking with the tag team of Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu. He tells them that they will be involved in the final Royal Rumble qualifying match this Friday night on Smackdown. They will face The Dudebusters in that match.
Josh Matthews is standing by with Tommy Dreamer. He asks Tommy why he demanded an Extreme Rules match against Kevin Thorn tonight. Dreamer says that he got screwed out of a win against Thorn last week because of the Brood and the best way to rid himself of them is to take them out in his favorite style of match.
An advertisement is shown for the Royal Rumble, which is less than two weeks away. It highlights the ECW Title match between Jack Swagger and Rey Mysterio, and then shows clips of the ECW stars in the Rumble itself.Commercial Break.
Extreme Rules Match Kevin Thorn w/ The Brood vs. Tommy Dreamer Dreamer made sure this was as brutal as it could be. He entered the ring with a garbage can, kendo stick and steel chair. Both he and Thorn used each of those to their advantage at different points during the match. Dreamer nailed a white Russian leg sweep and went for the cover, but Paradox got on the apron. Dreamer was ready this time as once Hade Vansen tried to sneak in behind him; Dreamer met him with a kendo stick. He nailed Paradox with it as well to the crowd’s liking. Thorn began to get up and Dreamer dropped him with the DDT to pick up the victory. Winner: Tommy Dreamer (9:00) **¾ Jack Swagger is now seen walking towards the arena with the ECW Title around his waist. He meets up with Carlito, who is tossing his apple up and down and they begin to walk together.Commercial Break. Perfectly Awesome is now seen backstage and Dolph Ziggler is furious about his loss to Bryan Danielson earlier. He looks right into the camera and promises that either he or The Miz will eliminate him from the Royal Rumble.
The cameras now cut away to show Rey Mysterio knocked out in the back. Trainers and Primo are there checking on him as we go to commercial.Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Carlito & ECW Champion Jack Swagger vs. Primo & Rey Mysterio Primo was left to fight alone here and despite a hot start in which he used his high flying to his advantage, the heels ended up dominating him. They worked him over with several frequent tags and even a few double team moves. Swagger had Primo where he wanted him but began to taunt instead. At this point, Mysterio began to slowly make his way down the ramp, holding his ribs. Swagger saw this and quickly ended the match with a Gutwrench Powerbomb on Primo. Winners: Carlito & ECW Champion Jack Swagger (8:11) **½ Carlito met Rey once he reached ringside and he tossed him into the steel steps. He then rolled him in the ring and Swagger drilled him with a Gutwrench PowerBomb, before standing over his lifeless body with a smile.© WWE 2010

ECW: January 19th, 2010 from the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, South Carolina – Teddy Long coming out to just say that the ECW roster is great seems like something he would do. I like Perfectly Awesome coming out and cutting a promo as it helps them continue to get over; however, it would have been nice to see the Miz get some time on the microphone as well. I wish there was more of a reason for an over the top rope battle royal next week as it just seems so random. Teddy booking Dolph in action against Bryan Danielson is good. I was pretty surprised that Alicia Fox and the Miz did not cause a disqualification and I feel that would have made more sense. I like Matt Hardy’s confidence, but I think we all know who isn’t going anywhere special. Mr. Kennedy defeating Zack Ryder in a nontitle match is logical as Kennedy is the bigger star of the duo. Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu will hopefully be defeated by the superior team of the Dudebusters. I like Tommy Dreamer’s promo about his Extreme Rules match against Kevin Throne later on tonight as you give the match more meaning. Tommy Dreamer managing to get the best of the Brood tonight is good. Carlito and Jack Swagger defeating Rey Mysterio and Primo is good as it continues both feuds simultaneously.

-Solid open. Like the match being called here to kick it off. -Solid also to see Danielson beat Ziggler. I'd love to see Danielson capture the TV Title. -Kennedy beat Ryder is a nice move. Kennedy's in between now. The ECW Title and TV Title. Interesting. -Dreamer beating Thorn is fine. Wanted Thorn to win but still a good result. -Swagger and Carlito beating Mysterio and Primo is a great call. Hope to see Carlito and Primo have pushes respectively in the future.

ECW on SyFy: Tuesday 19th January 2010...Alright, let's see what happens on this promising edition of ECW. Good promo to start off with Theodore Long being interrupted by Dolph Ziggler and The Miz. I'm looking forward to the ECW battle royal next week; good preparation for the Royal Rumble being the Sunday afterwards. Bryan Danielson and Dolph Ziggler I can imagine putting on a good match; decent acceptable win for Danielson, but I hope that Miz and Ziggler's push isn't over. Mr Kennedy defeating Zack Ryder is fine; not a bad match but surely this will put Kennedy in contention to the WWE Television Championship. Hmm, now, with Extreme Rules I fele this should have been put in a much more appropriate spot on the card than here. Good win for Tommy Dreamer, the best thing to possibly do to climax this feud with the Brood, to be honest. Kevin Thorn will fight to see another day. Lastly, good win for Carlito and Jack Swagger against Primo and Rey Mysterio. A decent episode, more program advancing getting even closer to the Royal Rumble.

January 22nd, 2010 Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, South Carolina Attendance: 13,707
Smackdown opens with a video package showing Kofi Kingston’s huge upset win over Randy Orton last week, as well as Shelton Benjamin’s open World Title challenge and the altercations between Sheamus, Big Show, Chris Jericho and Edge. The opening pyrotechnics explode and Jim Ross and Matt Striker welcome us to tonight’s edition of Smackdown. They hype up tonight’s big card, which includes Edge going one on one with Chris Jericho, the Big Show taking on Sheamus as well as another open challenge from World Heavyweight Champion Shelton Benjamin!Match Six in Best of Seven Series United States Champion John Morrison vs. Tyler Black Unlike last week’s hiccup, these two were back on track tonight and put on a great show. Black kicked off the contest by attempting his power moves, which was a different strategy for him. He managed to nail the Buckle Bomb early, but just got a near fall. Near the end, Morrison managed to hit his springboard kick and Black fell right into place for the Starship Pain. He nailed it and went for the cover, but Black got his foot on the ropes. Morrison was furious and argued with the referee. When he turned back towards Black, he was met with a super kick and God’s Last Gift to finish it. Winner: Tyler Black (9:23) ***¼ Stephanie McMahon’s theme hits as our Co-General Manager comes out to the stage, just as Tyler Black is halfway up the ramp. Stephanie says that she’s so excited to see this Series go all the way to Match Seven. So, in honor of that, Match Seven is going to take place on a huge stage because it will happen in just over a week at the Royal Rumble! The crowd loves the sound of that.Commercial Break. Edge makes his way out to the ring now to a mixed reaction. He gets in and brings up last week’s issues with Chris Jericho, Sheamus and the Big Show. He says that it was pointless for those guys to come out and stake their claim as the winners of the 2010 Royal Rumble. He also calls it pointless for Zack Ryder, Mr. Kennedy, Legacy and anybody else from any other brand to say they’re going to win it because on January 31st, we’re going to witness a repeat of last year. Edge promises to walk out of Atlanta with a guaranteed World or WWE Title shot and he will make good on his shot this year. He claims that last year was a fluke. He is cut off by World Heavyweight Champion Shelton Benjamin, who comes out to boos. Benjamin gets in the ring and tells Edge that the real pointless thing would be winning the Rumble only to attempt to go for the World Title at WrestleMania. Benjamin says that he’s going to have his title for a long time coming and nobody will change that. Not whoever answers his open challenge tonight, not CM Punk at the Rumble and not whoever wins the Royal Rumble. CM Punk comes out to the stage with a smirk on his face. He tells Shelton that he’d love to be the one to answer the open challenge tonight, but he’s patient enough to wait for the Royal Rumble. But, he’s found a great person to face Benjamin tonight, because once he wins, Punk will enjoy facing him instead at the Rumble. This man is one of Punk’s closest friends, Kofi Kingston! The crowd erupts at this announcement and Benjamin is furious as we cut away. Commercial Break. Josh Matthews is standing by with the “Celtic Warrior” Sheamus. He asks him about facing somebody much larger than him for the first time. Sheamus claims that while the Big Show is larger than him, nobody’s meaner. He says that no one is going to stand in the way of his destiny to win the Rumble and then the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Not even the 500 pound Big Show and he’ll prove that tonight.Divas Tag Team Match April Lee & Kelly Kelly w/ Gail Kim vs. Divas Champion Maryse & Michelle McCool This was kept as your basic Divas tag match. It wasn’t too long and the heels did most of the work. McCool and Maryse kept Lee in as they worked her over. She managed to make the tag to Kelly, who came in hot. She cooled off though after she missed the K2, and Maryse pinned her with the French TKO. Winners: Divas Champion Maryse & Michelle McCool (5:31) ** The WWE Tag Team Champions, Paul London and Brian Kendrick are shown in the back. The Dudebusters come right up to them and tell them that they’re coming for the belts. London and Kendrick have no problem with that, so Croft says to give them a title shot next week. London says that they need to earn it, so they’ll get a non-title match next week and if they win that, they’ll get a future title shot. The Dudebusters bump fists and walk away happy.Commercial Break. In the back, Vickie Guerrero is telling Stephanie that they should find a way to get Smackdown the number thirty entrant into the Rumble. Stephanie says it’s a good idea and Vickie suggests giving it to Edge. Stephanie quickly shoots down the idea, saying that if Edge is going to be number thirty, he has to be lucky enough to draw it on the 31st.Singles Match Chris Jericho vs. Edge As usual, these two put on a very good match, although the crowd was rather split with both guys being heels. They went back and forth throughout the contest, and Jericho seemed more aggressive, probably because he wanted revenge for Edge Spearing him last week. In the end, Edge went for the Spear, but Jericho dodged it and he crashed into the turnbuckle. Jericho quickly rolled him up and gained the victory. Winner: Chris Jericho (10:03) ***
Commercial Break. We are now joined by Randy Orton, who isn’t scheduled to be in action tonight. He’s in street clothes and he gets in the ring. He starts his promo by saying that people have wanted to know why he punted Jeff Hardy in the skull two weeks ago. They keep asking “why, Randy why?” The answer is simple. Jeff Hardy put him on the shelf for four long months and what goes around, comes around. Lucky for Jeff, that he didn’t catch the full on punt because he’d be out longer than a few weeks. Unluckily for Jeff, he will return at the Rumble and step into the ring with the Viper once again. Suddenly, we hear Jeff Hardy’s voice telling Randy to shut up. Jeff appears on the titantron, live via satellite from his home in North Carolina. Jeff says that he understands Orton’s motives because an eye for an eye makes sense. But when Jeff shows up at the Royal Rumble, and gets face to face with Orton, he’s going to end him. This rivalry is getting personal and Orton just stepped into a world where Vipers don’t survive. Orton smirks at this and tells Jeff that he sounds real tough talking all the way from his home. Jeff says that in nine days, we’ll see who the real tough guy is, because he prays that they start the Rumble at numbers one & two, so he can be in the ring with him for as long as possible. Orton says he wishes for the same thing and Jeff promises to see him on the 31st. Commercial Break.
Singles Match Big Show vs. Sheamus This was your typical big man match in the WWE. It didn’t have the best in ring quality work done, but it was pretty entertaining. Sheamus tried everything he could to overpower Show but it just wasn’t happening. That allowed Show to hit some of his signature moves. Eventually, he hooked Sheamus for the Chokeslam, but Sheamus broke free and delivered a Bicycle Kick to the chest. Show didn’t fall until Sheamus hit it a second time and got the huge victory. Winner: Sheamus (7:41) **½ Angela Fong is standing by with Kofi Kingston, who will be getting a World Title shot in tonight’s main event. She asks him if he’s nervous heading into the biggest match of his career. Kofi says that he expected to be nervous the day his first one on one title match happened, but he’s not really nervous. He’s confident in himself because he’s been on a roll and has a feeling that roll will continue tonight.Commercial Break. The WWE Tag Team Champions, Paul London and Brian Kendrick are arriving at ringside to provide color commentary for the following contest.Tag Team Match [Royal Rumble Qualifier] The Dudebusters vs. Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu The Dudebusters seemed more interested in London and Kendrick than qualifying for the Royal Rumble. Every time Croft or Baretta hit a big move, they’d look over at the Champions and taunt or say something to them. That ended up costing them the entire match as Croft taunted the Champs, which allowed Tatsu to get up and hit him with a stiff kick to the head for the win. Winners: Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu (7:14) **¾ London and Kendrick got a good laugh out of this finish as the Dudebusters were left in shock in the ring. Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu are the final two superstars to qualify for Royal Rumble spots!Commercial Break.
World Heavyweight Championship Shelton Benjamin (c) vs. Kofi Kingston Benjamin has truly shown that he is a great choice for Champion as he once again put on a great match. He and Kingston went back and forth early on, with Kofi holding an advantage in the air, while Benjamin had the mat advantage. Benjamin began to work over Kofi’s neck and wear him down. Kofi fought back behind the crowd’s approval. He managed to hit his S.O.S for a near fall. He followed it with the Boom Drop and then began to call for Trouble in Paradise. He went for it, but Shelton ducked and hit Paydirt from out of nowhere for the win. Winner and Still World Heavyweight Champion: Shelton Benjamin (14:11) ***½ Shelton celebrated with the belt and as he did, CM Punk came out to the top of the ramp. Benjamin smirked at him and raised the title high in the air. Punk pointed to his wrist as if to say that Shelton’s time is almost up.© WWE 2010

WWE SmackDown: Friday 22nd January 2010...Alright, starting to climax and reach the end of the Best of Seven Series between Tyler Black and John Morrison; a great way to start with the WWE United States Champion losing to Black. I am now expecting this to all end with the Royal Rumble this next week in the finalé. Edge's promo was pretty good; and a nice setup with Shelton Benjamin and CM Punk involved. Looking good as we prepare for Royal Rumble's World Heavyweight Championship match. Maryse and Michelle McCool defeating April Lee and Kelly Kelly is good; we don't need another undefeated streak on a diva, and I like McCool and Maryse as a team; you could easily make them your version of Team LayCool; you can do so much with the obnoxious diva gimmicks. Amazing first hour main event with Chris Jericho and Edge, but should have definitely ended the show or even gone on after the promo earlier on. I am not a fan of how you order this sort of stuff on SmackDown. Another promo with Randy Orton to propell his feud with Jeff Hardy; a good segment. Sheamus overcoming Big Show was odd, and wouldn't have been too great a match, Sheamus needed the win though. Paul London and Brian Kendrick's feud with The Dudebusters is nice, but can't see Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta taking the WWE Tag Team Championships so soon into London and Kendrick's reign. Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu overcoming The Dudebusters didn't do anything for me; suppose it's best that they advance though. A nice surprise but not good for the contenders to the tag belts. Lastly, a solid main event with Shelton Benjamin and Kofi Kingston, though very obvious that Shelton would retain the World Heavyweight Championship. A good show, but more of the storylines going into the Rumble were promo orientated. The in-ring action wasn't up to standards, aside from first hour and main event. Your ordering is also still slightly off.

It's fantastic that this diary is still going, and full speed ahead. Solid way to kick off SmackDown, wouldn't be surprised to see Black take the U.S Championship from Morrison. Nice that the finalé will take place at the Royal Rumble. I still need to come to terms with the fact that Shelton Benjamin is a major player in this diary. I love Shelton, but because he was so mis-used in the WWE, it's hard for me to picture him as World Heavyweight Champion. However, you have pushed Benjamin very well since the start of this diary. Maryse getting the pinfall for her team is good stuff. You know I'm partial to a bit of Maryse, haha. Fantastic contest from Jericho and Edge, although I'm surprised to see it so early on in the night. Jericho vs. Benjamin in the future? Sheamus versus Big Show seems more of a match we would see on PPV, but it did help put Sheamus over as a bad ass. I've grown to like Sheamus as of late. Totally didn't expect to see Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu beat The Dudebusters. I may have not fully understood the stipulation, but this means The Dudebusters don't get their tag title shot, correct? Anyway, if they don't, I don't expect it to be long before they do get their shot against London and Kendrick. Solid win for Shelty Bee.

SmackDown, Tyler Black with a victory evens things up and a final match at the Royal Rumble should be great, and I suspect that Tyler Black will take the gold. A good segment with Edge, Shelton Benjamin and CM Punk. Average Diva match, good to see the heels win. Chris Jericho versus Edge is huge, but I am glad to see Jericho pick up the victory. A great promo by Randy Orton here. I am surprised but very happy to see Sheamus defeat the Big Show, I hope to see him pushed. I am pleased that Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu made it to the Royal Rumble, they need the spots to stay relevant. A victory for Shelton Benjamin was obvious here, but it gave Kingston a chance to shine. I hope to see Benjamin retain at the Rumble. Good show.
