Raw, great opening segment, really got Ted over. Glad to see The Legacy win this one, but I've never been a fan of Royal Rumble Qualifiers, I just feel it's not needed. I was surprised to see a No Contest result here, but hopefully that means a Triple Threat match. Obvious victory for Ted DiBiase, and rightfully so. I'm glad Serena was victorious in this one, I really hope to see her as Champion soon. I was hoping for YoshiDust to win here, but never mind. A Double Countout was the best way for this match to end, and I'm also glad it didn't close the show as Triple H needed a segment. Batista/Triple H feud? Sounds good to me! Great Raw!

ECW opens with the Armageddon fallout, showing Jack Swagger retain the ECW Championship against Mr. Kennedy.Todd Grisham and Byron Saxton, who have been getting pretty good reviews as an announce team; welcome the WWE Universe to tonight’s edition of ECW. They promote the return of the Elimination Chase, as well as the Royal Rumble qualifying match that we will witness.“Down On Your Knees” blasts over the speakers as the “All-American American” Jack Swagger makes his way down to the ring. He gets in and begins to brag about his victory at Armageddon. He told everybody that he would keep his belt and he did just that. He tells everybody to get used to the sight of him as Champion because a prodigy like himself doesn’t plan on having a short title reign. He says that they might as well close down ECW because there is no competition anywhere for Swagger. He then changes subjects to the Elimination Chase tonight. He says that he’s beaten Dreamer & Mysterio before, and he’s sure he can beat Matt Hardy as well. He’s so confident that he believes he can beat the surprise fourth superstar involved tonight. Swagger finishes the promo by telling everybody that we can all celebrate the era of Jack Swagger, as it will last a good, long time. Commercial Break.
Singles Match Yoshi Tatsu vs. Zack Ryder w/ CourtneyTelevision Champion The Hurricane was on commentary during the match, saying that these are two of the top contenders for his title. The match itself was pretty good, and featured some solid back and forth action. Last week, Ryder got the biggest win of his career in an Extreme Rules match against Tommy Dreamer, and the momentum continued here as he won with the Zack Attack. Winner: Zack Ryder (7:28) **¾After the match, Ryder went to the outside and picked up Hurricane’s TV Title. Hurricane asked him to hand it back and Ryder swung it at him. Hurricane ducked it though and leveled him with several right hands, until a final one sent Ryder to the floor. He got up and retreated up the ramp.Commercial Break. When we return, we see Theodore Long in his office. As usual, Perfectly Awesome enters, but they aren’t complaining tonight. They are bragging that this Monday on Raw, they should be a lock to win the Tag Team of the Year Slammy. Miz also says that they can sit back and watch the finals of the Tournament, knowing that they’re going to retain the belts no matter what. Dolph Ziggler says that they came to see Teddy because they want to know what Bryan Danielson has done to earn a rematch against The Miz. Teddy Long says that Danielson has been doing great since his debut and the one hiccup on his record was by the Miz, who didn’t do it fairly. So he’s giving Danielson a chance to even the score. He then says Ziggler and Alicia Fox are barred from ringside, which brings uproar from the Champs.Royal Rumble Qualifying Match Chavo Guerrero w/ Eric Escobar vs. Mr. KennedyDespite Kennedy being much higher in the card than Guerrero right now, this was a competitive bout. Chavo held his own, but Kennedy was in control for the most part. Chavo did manage to hit the first two of the Three Amigos, but Kennedy blocked the final one. He then hoisted him up and hit the Green Bay Plunge to win. Winner: Mr. Kennedy (6:08) **½After the match, Kennedy has the microphone drop down from the ceiling. He talks about his new goal, which is to win the Royal Rumble. He took the first step tonight, the next step is to win the Rumble and the final step is to win the main event of WrestleMania XXVI.Commercial Break.A commercial for the upcoming Slammy Awards Special this Monday night on Raw is shown.
Carlito and Primo are shown backstage in their locker room. Carlito is complaining that they are no longer the team they once were. He says that they once reigned as Tag Team Champions for half a year, but now they’re losing in the first round of a tag team tournament. Primo says that they are just in a funk and they’ll fix it. Carlito seems skeptical, but eventually agrees.Singles Match Bryan Danielson vs. World Tag Team Champion The MizMiz didn’t seem as confident as he did last time, most likely due to him not having his partner and manager at ringside. Danielson just plain dominated the time they spent on the mat, but Miz used a rake to eyes to take control for a short while. He got too cocky and began to taunt, which allowed Danielson to catch him with a tiger suplex. He bridged the suplex and Miz kicked out, but Danielson turned it right into the Cattle Mutilation and Miz tapped out. Winner: Bryan Danielson (8:09) **¾Rey Mysterio is now shown walking towards the arena because our main event is next!Commercial Break.
Elimination Chase Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Kevin ThornThe fourth entrant in this match turned out to be former ECW Champion Kevin Thorn, who we haven’t seen since he lost the belt a few months back. Anyway, this match was solid as everybody did their part. Rey and Matt focused on each other for the most part, which allowed Thorn to gain the pinfall by hitting Dreamer with the Original Sin. Winners: Kevin Thorn (9:57) ***Hardy and Rey stopped fighting when they heard the bell and Thorn slipped out of the ring. He walked up the ramp without even looking back. Matt used this opportunity to nail Rey with a Twist of Fate.© WWE 2009

ECW, great way to get Swagger over in the opening segment, I hope he retains his title at the Royal Rumble, whoever challenges him for it. Was hoping for Tatsu to win this, but Ryder winning is good as he can start a feud with The Hurricane. I like the interaction between the two after the match. Obvious victory for Mr. Kennedy, he definitely should be in the Royal Rumble. Irony yet again as Danielson takes on The Miz, but I'm glad to see Danielson defeat Miz, he needs to be over. Kevin Thorn returning is fantastic, I may actually change my mind about Swagger keeping the title if Thorn was to win the Elimination Chase. I am pleased to see Thorn win here as it was his return match, but a shame to see Tommy Dreamer go out first. I see Matt Hardy going next week, courtesy of Rey Mysterio. Good ECW!

- Good job on ECW, man, hopefully you carry that momentum on to your Smackdown episode where the new World Heavyweight Champion Shelton Benjamin will make his first appearance as World Champion and cut his first promo being The Gold Standard as World Heavyweight Champion. Hopefully we find out who his opponent will be for the 2010 Royal Rumble is, I mean there's Punk, the former World Champion who got cashed in on mere seconds after winning the title, Jericho the former World Champion before the whole Fatal Four Way match started, I mean there is Randy Orton who made his return and made a statement at Jeff Hardy's expense now my boy Orton definitely deserves a World Title match after what he did to that "sainted Jeff", then there's Jeff Hardy I think not, then there is Edge, then there is Kofi, so many people in line for a title shot at the 2010 Royal Rumble
- Morrison will be in the 2010 Royal Rumble Match most likely while defending his WWE United States Championship against Tyler Black in that Best of 7 Series all in the same night, same going for Tyler Black being a 2010 Royal Rumble Match participant
- Kaval will most likely be defending his WWE Intercontinental Championship at this PPV, against Elijah Burke, Evan Bourne, and Sean Morley in a Fatal 4-Way Match, or they probably will all be 2010 Royal Rumble Match Participants
- Perfectly Awesome vs. Legacy for the WWE Unified Tag Team Championship, I want Legacy to win the belts, since Miz & Ziggler have had them for too long, and that way Joe Hennig can show Dolph Ziggler that he is the real PERFECT in the WWE and not Ziggler, and Miz that way he can venture off doing other things
- Mickie vs Serena Rematch definitely calling that for the 2010 Royal Rumble
- Swagger vs. Thorn for the ECW Championship, hopefully Kevin Thorn wins the title, but we all know Swagger will retain

ECW on SyFy: Tuesday 15th December 2009...Pretty decent promo to kick off the show this week, with the ECW Champion, Jack Swagger in the ring bragging about defeating Mr Kennedy last Sunday at Armageddon. His cocky and arrogant role as ECW Champion continues, and the return of the Elimination Chase is a positive step to create some new potential threats to the ECW Championship. Zack Ryder and Yoshi Tatsu opening up the show is ideal, and a good win for Ryder over Tatsu; though I would like to see Yoshi gain some momentum in the upcoming few weeks. Ryder appears to be heading up for a feud with The Hurricane over the WWE Television Championship; and that I am all for. Mr Kennedy beating Chavo Guerrero was really predictable, to be honest; I can't see Kennedy win the Royal Rumble match itself, however. I do think that Bryan Danielson deserves a win over The Miz; but cleanly I am not so thrilled about really. Lastly, a good main event with the opening round of the Elimination Chase; Kevin Thorn making a comeback and being victorious is wise; and Tommy Dreamer being eliminated first is acceptable. Overall, it seemed like a decent show.

I love the Jack Swagger era, and I hope it continues for a long time because he can really be the next big thing. Zack Ryder picking up the win is good, because I feel he has a brighter career over Yoshi. I really hope Ryder can defeat Hurricane for the TV title. I like the segment with T-Long and Perfectly Awesome. Miz versus Danielson should be solid. Kennedy defeating Chavo seems good to me – no complaints there. I sense a possible Carlito heel turn. Danielson winning works, and I can see this leading to a good program. I was shocked to see Thorne return – interesting call. Hardy leveling Rey was also nice.

Smackdown 12/18/09 Preview-The World Heavyweight Title was involved in some crazy moments this past Sunday at Armageddon. First, defending Champion Chris Jericho lost the belt in a Fatal Four Way match involving himself, Kofi Kingston, Edge & CM Punk. Punk pinned Kofi to become the new Champion, but Shelton Benjamin cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and is now the World Heavyweight Champion. Shelton will be in attendance tonight and we're sure he's going to brag. The two former Champions, Punk and Jericho will do battle in tonight's main event, which is sure to have Championship match implications. -The road to the Royal Rumble has begun and five superstars have qualified for the big match already. Tonight, we will witness two more qualifiers. In one match, the WWE Tag Team Champions, The New Hart Foundation will take on former World Tag Team Champions The Technicians. In the other, a more personal battle will go down. Finlay and his nephew Sheamus have had some bad blood as of late and to add feul to the fire, their match tonight will be a qualifier. What will go down when a spot for a chance at the WrestleMania main event is on the line? -At Armageddon, United States Champion John Morrison won the first match in a best of seven series against Tyler Black. Tonight, match two will take place. Can Black tie the series at one? Or will Morrison take a commanding 2-0 lead? Plus, Paul London and Brian Kendrick have been on a roll lately, but so have The Dudebusters, who have promised to stop Londrick in their quest for the WWE Tag Team Titles. These two teams will meet in a big match tonight! Tune into MyNetwork TV tonight at 8:00PM for all of this and more on our jam packed broadcast!

ECW:
- Good opening promo from Swagger. Hope he gets a good run. - Very happy to see Ryder win this one, woo woo woo, you know it. - Kennedy getting in the Rumble is the right call. Don't expect him to win though. - Great to see Danielson get his revenge on Miz. Hope he does well. - Dreamer being out first is fine I suppose. Hope to see Rey vs Swagger at RR.
Good ECW.

Smackdown’s opening video package showed highlights of the first match in the Best of Seven Series between Tyler Black and John Morrison, the return of Randy Orton during the Shelton Benjamin/Jeff Hardy match, the World Title fatal four way match and lastly, Shelton Benjamin cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase.Jim Ross and Matt Striker, who have been getting rave reviews together, welcome us to another exciting edition of Friday night Smackdown. They hype up tonight’s main event between CM Punk and Chris Jericho, with the winner getting a spot in the Royal Rumble. One has to wonder though if one of them will try and use their rematch clause soon. They are cut off by the theme of Shelton Benjamin as the new World Heavyweight Champion makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos. He’s dressed in a suit for a change and has the World Title draped over his shoulder. Shelton starts the promo by saying that he has truly hit the mother lode. He said it back at WrestleMania XXV, when he won the Money in the Bank briefcase, that he would become World Champion. He proved all the naysayers and doubters wrong. He says that now that he’s Champion, there ain’t no stopping him. He is cut off by the theme of Chris Jericho. Jericho comes out and says that the events that took place at Armageddon were a complete travesty. He says that he lost the belt without getting pinned and then Shelton took all the glory from that by cashing in Money in the Bank. Jericho demands that Shelton just give him back his belt. Before Shelton can answer, CM Punk makes his way out. He tells Jericho that it’s stupid to tell Benjamin to give him back the belt considering Shelton beat him for it, not Jericho. Punk says that he knows he has a match with Jericho tonight, but he would like to use his rematch clause for next week. Jericho cuts him off and says that even though he demanded Shelton give him the belt, he already spoke to Vickie Guerrero and has been granted his rematch next week. Punk says that Stephanie McMahon has also told him that he can use his rematch clause in the upcoming weeks, so they should raise the stakes in tonight’s main event. The winner gets the title shot next week and the loser has to wait. Jericho agrees to this, but is quickly nailed with the World Title by Benjamin. He turns and hits Punk with it as well. Benjamin raised the belt over his head as we cut to commercial. Commercial Break.
Non-Title Match [Royal Rumble Qualifier] WWE Tag Team Champions The New Hart Foundation w/ Natalya Neidhart vs. The Technicians w/ Kelly KellyThe former World Tag Team Champions put up a good fight and made this more competitive than most people expected. The Foundation managed to cut the ring in half and work on the smaller Jamie Noble. Despite a hot tag to Charlie Haas, the Champs still got the victory after hitting the springboard Hart Attack on him. Winners: WWE Tag Team Champions The New Hart Foundation (7:11) ***In the back, Stephanie McMahon and Vickie Guerrero are arguing in their office about the World Title rematch clauses for Jericho and Punk. After arguing for a few, Vickie gives up and says that she should’ve just given Edge the Title shot like he deserved. Stephanie rolls her eyes and said she figured Vickie would say that.Commercial Break.Josh Matthews is standing by with the United States Champion, John Morrison. He asks Morrison about winning match one in the best of seven series last Sunday. Morrison says that if anybody expected different, then they are stupid. He plans on winning match two tonight and sweeping Tyler Black.Divas Match AJ Lee vs. Michelle McCoolLee was making her debut on the main roster here, but she was the Queen on FCW for four months recently. She did very well in her first match, but the story here was McCool. She really seems to have changed her ways and she was brutal here. Despite a good comeback effort, McCool nabbed victory with her Heel Hook submission. Winner: Michelle McCool (5:06) **
Commercial Break.
Match Two in Best of Seven Series United States Champion John Morrison vs. Tyler BlackMuch like their match at Armageddon, this was a great high flying encounter. The two up and coming stars went back and forth for about eight minutes until Morrison surprisingly locked in a Fujiwara armbar. Black was close to tapping but managed to reach the ropes. Morrison then climbed up for the Starship Pain, but Black moved. He picked up Morrison and hit the Paroxysm for the win. Winner: Tyler Black (10:19) ***
Commercial Break. We return to hear “Voices” hit the speaker system as Randy Orton slowly makes his way to the ring. We are reminded that he returned at Armageddon as the masked man who has been attacking Jeff Hardy recently. Orton gets on the microphone and says that since this past Sunday, everybody has been asking him why he attacked Jeff Hardy over the past few months. The answer is simple in his mind. He says that back at Unforgiven, in the World Heavyweight Title Scramble Match, both he & Hardy were involved. He feels like he it was his destiny to win back his belt that night, but that was ruined by Hardy. During the match, Hardy injured Orton’s neck and while he was rehabbing, hurting Hardy back was all he could think about. Orton says that he is now fully recovered and hell bent on destroying Jeff Hardy. At that moment, Hardy’s theme hits as he runs straight down to the ring. Once he enters though, Orton slithers out of the ring. Hardy calls him to get back inside but Orton says that his plans to hurt him will be on his terms, not Jeff’s. Orton backs up the ramp as the crowd boos heavily. Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Brian Kendrick & Paul London vs. The Dudebusters w/ Curt Hawkins This was a fast paced tag match and it truly was the coming out party for the Dudebusters. They showed the world that they are one of the best tag teams around. They used a few different double team moves and surprisingly picked up a clean win after hitting an atomic drop/running knee double team move. Winners: The Dudebusters (7:01) *** Angela Fong is backstage with Kofi Kingston. She asks Kofi about taking the pin in the biggest match of his career. Kofi smirks at this and says the question sounds rather insulting. Fong apologizes, but Kofi says it’s okay. He was proud of his performance in the match and fell to one of his best friends. He says you can’t win them all, and at that point Edge attacks him from behind. He then tosses Kofi into the television behind them. Edge says that it’s not over between them.Commercial Break.
Singles Match [Royal Rumble Qualifier] Finlay vs. Sheamus Finlay seemed to not even care about a spot in the Rumble, he was just hell bent on hurting Sheamus. Finlay charged at him and hit him with a flurry of right hands. He went to the outside and got his shillelagh and knocked Sheamus over the head with it, causing the disqualification. Winner via Disqualification: Sheamus (2:46) N/A Shelton Benjamin is shown walking towards the arena. He’s coming to watch our main event.Commercial Break.
Singles Match Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk As expected when two athletes of this caliber step in the ring, we witnessed a great match. They went back and forth for nearly ten minutes until Benjamin attempted to get involved. He got on the apron, but was met with a kick to the head by CM Punk. Jericho rolled him up right after, but Punk kicked out. Once they got up, Punk hoisted him up for the GTS, but Jericho wriggled free. He turned Punk around and nailed the Codebreaker for the win. Winner: Chris Jericho (11:14) ***½ Jericho celebrated his victory as Shelton Benjamin looked on. These two will meet in the main event of our Christmas day Smackdown!© WWE 2009

- Great opening promo between the 3. Nice stipulation added. - Very pleased to see The Hart Dynasty getting in the Rumble. - AJ Lee debuting is nice, disappoints me she lost though. - Ah, yes, Tyler Black gets #2. Hope you drag this into 6 or 7 matches. - Nice segment between Hardy/Orton. Hope they end up facing at Mania. - The Dudebusters winning surprises me, but I am fine with it cause I'm a fan. - Sheamus winning by DQ is odd, but Finlay just wants revenge so I suppose it's alright. - Great main event, and satisfied with Jericho getting the shot next week.
Good Smackdown as usual, Kev. And congrats on making it to over a year.

- Love the promo that Shelton Benjamin cut as the new World Heavyweight Champion, hopefully the Shelton Benjamin era has just begun, and that he stays champion for a long time
- Tyler Black winning that match, I am fine with that, because I want to see this Best Of 7 Series for the WWE United States Championship go all the way to 7 matches with John Morrison
- Dudebusters, hopefully they become a really popular tag team as you have shown them to be really innovative with their moves, and especially with their finisher
- Sheamus in the Rumble Match, that I can see, and hopefully Sheamus will be a dominant guy in the Rumble Match but I want Finlay to get his revenge on Sheamus and tear Sheamus apart limb from limb taking him out of the Rumble Match
- I love, love, love, love the fact that Shelton made a statement at both Jericho and Punk's expenses by laying them both out with the World Title belt and standing over them
- Shelton vs. Jericho heel vs. heel match for the World Title, who will the crowd cheer for more in that match, in my opinion I think Shelton would get cheered more than Jericho because Jericho is more hated than Shelton but I think Shelton is just as hated. Heel vs. heel matches I love, WWE needs to do it more often
- Hopefully Randy Orton, my boy, my favorite WWE superstar, my idol Randy Orton qualifies for the 2010 WWE Royal Rumble Match, and that Orton is in it because if he is, then Orton is one of the favorites to win it along with Taker, Kennedy, and I want Jeff in the Rumble Match as well, so that Orton can punt Jeff Hardy to Helllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll and punt his skull right off
- The New Hart Foundation (DH Smith & TJ Wilson) I can deal with them being in the 2010 Royal Rumble Match, seeing as how they could be a threat in there as well especially if they work together but since it is the Rumble and it is every man for himself, they will turn on each other
- Royal Rumble, 30 Men, 1 Ring, 1 Winner, who will be the one to seize the dream, who will be "The ONE" to main-event WrestleMania XXVI 26? Royal Rumble 2010, where in the Royal Rumble Match it is every man for himself, no friends, no allies, only enemies, tag team partners turning on tag team partners, brothers turning against brothers, friends turning on friends, doesn't matter, every man I am sure wants to be the man and wants to go on to WrestleMania and decide which champion they want to face whether that be the WWE Champion, the ECW Champion, or the World Heavyweight Champion

Raw 12/21/09 Preview-Tonight, as Raw comes to you live from Tampa, Florida, we present a special three hour extravaganza. Tonight the WWE crowns all 2009 Slammy Award winners including Match of the Year, Diva of the Year, Tag Team of the Year, Superstar of the Year and more. Tonight's main event is huge as on one side the World Heavyweight Champion Shelton Benjamin will team with the WWE Champion Triple H to take on Batista and CM Punk. These guys are strong candidates for Superstar of the Year, but which side will win out in this tag team battle? -Since putting Randy Orton on the shelf back at Unforgiven, life has been a living hell for Jeff Hardy. Orton dressed as a masked man and continually attacked him for several months. They won't meet tonight, but Hardy will be in action against somebody he's never faced before. Hardy will go one on one with the ECW Champion, the "All-American American" Jack Swagger. Swagger has dominated ECW since his debut over a year ago, but Hardy is representing Smackdown. Can Swagger step up in this huge non-title match? -At Armageddon, John Cena defeated Ted Dibiase Jr. in a match that Dibiase seemed obsessed with. He didn't take the loss lying down as he refused to shake Cena's hand after the match. Last week, he officially challenged Cena to a rematch tonight and it was granted. Can Dibiase get the monkey off his back and beat Cena tonight? Or will we see the same result once again? Tune into the USA Network tonight at 8:00PM for this huge broadcast!

SmackDown, great opener, and I like the Triple Threat stuff going on. I hope to see CM Punk win tonight, because I feel Benjamin needs a victory over him before Jericho. Very happy that the Hart Foundation get in the Royal Rumble, although I don't see either man winning. Glad to see McCool win here as a victory for Lee would have been too big. Tyler Black with a victory if good, but I hope Morrison comes out victorious overall. Great way to bring Orton back, might I say. He had a great feud with Jeff Hardy in 2007/8, this should be no different. Surprised but pleased to see The Dudebusters win here. I'm glad to hear that the Kingston/Edge thing is still running. I would have preferred both men in the Royal Rumble, but Sheamus is better than Finlay. Wasn't really bothered either way, although as I stated earlier, I would have ever so slightly preferred a Punk victory, but Jericho is just as good. Great SmackDown and I can't wait for the Royal Rumble already!

WWE SmackDown: Friday 18th December 2009...Wise decision by having Shelton Benjamin kick off SmacDown with the World Heavyweight Championship, but I am intrigued as to how long he will have the belt considering that Shelton is walking into a dangerous part of town for the WWE roster; where midcarders get demolished on the Road to WrestleMania. Chris Jericho interrupting him is fine, I'd like to see these two fight in a heel vs heel match this week or next, but at the Royal Rumble I sense a triple threat match. With CM Punk, of course. Decent win for the New Hart Foundation against The Technicians. Charlie Haas and Jamie Noble only really show up when they are needed to put somebody else over, to be honest. I would release Noble or at least put him on Road Agent duty. I would like a match on the Christmas Day edition of SmackDown where Paul London and Brian Kendrick win the WWE Tag Team Championships. It would be appropriate here, and a very touching and special occasion for SD headed into 2010. Mmm, AJ Lee. Pass on the name, to be honest. She really lacks appeal. Plus with her losing to Michelle McCool with nothing happening, there isn't that much potential on display. She needs really repackaging if she's gonna get into the SmackDown divas division. It didn't do much for the WWE Divas Championship scene either, really. Fine win for Tyler Black in match two of the Best of Seven Series for the WWE United States Championship; but I really hope John Morrison retains in this opportunity for more and more amazing matches. Randy Orton's promo was pretty good, very nice explanation of the situation with Jeff Hardy, I anticipate their match at Royal Rumble, possibly. Heck, you could even stretch it out to WrestleMania XXVI. Ah, The Dudebusters debuting. Good win for them, but against Paul London and Brian Kendrick? Cleanly? That is terrible booking if I'm honest, it's a boost for Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta, but for London and Kendrick it is a massive downhill step for the team that made the best comeback of the year this fall, just to fall down and not finish the job by regaining the WWE Tag Team Championships. Sheamus being demolished by Finlay eh? I see a rematch next week where Sheamus annihilates him. Lastly, a pretty shamefully short main event between Chris Jericho and CM Punk; who both main evented Survivor Series. Glad to see Jericho win; a great match planned for Christmas SmackDown. Overall a good show that maybe had some questionable booking decisions.

December 21st, 2009 Expo Hall [Florida State Fairgrounds] in Tampa, Florida Attendance: 11,750
Raw opens with clips of the nominees for tonight’s 2009 Slammy Award presentation. It focuses on the Superstar of the Year and Match of the Year awards.A three man announce team consisting of Jim Ross, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Todd Grisham welcome us to tonight’s huge edition of Monday night Raw. Tonight we award the top superstars in the company as well as bring you three hours of explosive action. In our mega main event, CM Punk will team with Batista to take on the WWE Champion Triple H & the World Heavyweight Champion Shelton Benjamin! Plus, we will see the ECW Champion take on Jeff Hardy as well as the rematch between Ted Dibiase Jr. & John Cena!Triple H’s theme hits as the WWE Champion makes his way to the ring. He gets in and begins to talk about the end of last week’s show when Batista drilled him with a spinebuster. He says that Batista only managed that because it was an obvious cheap shot and man to man, Batista stands no chance. That is why he & Shelton Benjamin will be so successful tonight. He then talks a little about Benjamin, reminding everybody that Benjamin has defeated him before, but calls it the greatest fluke of all time. This brings out Benjamin. He gets in the ring and tells Triple H that when they win tonight it will be because of him, not Triple H. He also says that one win might be a fluke, but he’s beaten Triple H on more than one occasion. Triple H doesn’t like this, but says that arguing amongst themselves is a bad idea before they have to team up. He says that they are the top Champions in the WWE and together they should be unstoppable. Jack Swagger’s theme hits and he comes to the ring. He is offended that they talk about being the top Champions and they leave him out. Triple H makes a joke about ECW being such a small pond that Swagger doesn’t matter. Swagger agrees that ECW is a small pond, but he is a huge fish in that pond. He says that if he wanted to, he could take both of their titles. Eric Bischoff cuts them off before this goes any further. He says that the other General Managers and himself have to make sure that this doesn’t get out of hand. They can’t have their Champions fighting out here. Bischoff states that while he’s partial to the WWE Champion, there’s only one way to prove if they all deserve to be the top guys and that is to go out there and win tonight. He changes tonight’s main event to a six man tag. On one side Swagger, Benjamin and Triple H will team up. On the other, CM Punk and Batista will find a third partner and team up as well. Jeff agrees and leaves.Match Three in Best of Seven Series United States Champion John Morrison vs. Tyler BlackJust like their previous two matches, these guys put on a very good show. This was their usual high flying, fast paced, back and forth battle. Morrison seemed in control after hitting his springboard kick for a near fall. He then climbed up and nailed the Starship Pain, but Black got his foot on the ropes. Morrison lifted him and set up for the Moonlight Drive but Black elbowed him in the stomach and caught him with God’s Last Gift for the victory. In the end, Kim got the victory for the Smackdown girls by hitting the Eat Defeat on Katie Lea. Winners: Gail Kim, Divas Champion Maryse & Natalya Neidhart (5:17) **After the match, Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu come to the stage to announce the winner of Diva of the Year. He says that in that competitive match, they both more than earned a spot and the rest of the GMs agree. MVP thanks them and heads out.Singles Match Bryan Danielson vs. Jeff HardyThe crowd is stunned to find out that Danielson is Hardy’s opponent. These two got a good amount of time and put on a great show. It was a nice battle of mat wrestling versus high flying ability. Danielson wore down Hardy with multiple submissions, but Jeff fought back by hitting the Whisper in the Wind. Eventually, Jeff climbed to the top for the Swanton Bomb, but Danielson moved out of the way. He picked Jeff up and nailed him with a bridging tiger suplex for a near fall. Danielson elbowed Jeff twice in the face, bounced off the ropes and went for a final roaring elbow, but Jeff ducked and connected with the Twist of Fate for the win. Winner: Jeff Hardy (11:15) ***½After the match, Hardy helped Danielson up and shook his hand in the middle of the ring. Danielson raised Jeff’s hand in victory, but from behind Randy Orton snuck in. Cena held the upper hand throughout the match this time though. He hit most of his signature moves until Ted caught him with a surprising big boot. He then nailed his big fist drops for a near fall. They kept him away from his partners and each hit some of their signature moves. Swagger hit his springboard splash, HHH nailed his spinebuster and Benjamin hit the Shell Bomb. None of these moves could put away Rey though, and he made the hot tag to the “Animal”. Batista came in and cleaned house, hitting spinebusters on all three of his opponents. He made the tag to Punk, who came in and finished the job by nailing Swagger with a Go to Sleep. Winners: Batista, CM Punk & Rey Mysterio (14:57) ***½The winning team celebrated their wins as the Champions all slowly retreated up the ramp.
