Guess there's no better time to start reading your diary than at a PPV. Like how there's a youthful feeling to the IC Title match up, and its good to see two high flyers in there.. Don't know much about Braddock, but he's obviously champ for a reason. Okay, Kaval as champ is a good move, like that, good opening contest man. Ahh, Now I've been following the ECW Title thing a bit, so this should be good. Damn good booking there in the ECW title match, loved it. Easily the best thing I have read so far since joining the sims community. Katie Lea as Women's champ is good. But then again so is Mickie. Glad you kept it nice and short, good work again. Jericho and Jeff is good, changes up the pace, and gives a more main event feel to the show. Again, some very nice, fluid writing, and I feel myself becoming absorbed more and more. Battle of the beasts I guess, Kane and Batista. Good stuff, booking it correctly, with it being a brawl rather than a wrestling match. Kane winning in a dirty finish IMO makes him seem weak, but I like how you use managers, something that is really lacking in today's WWE. Benjamin and Taker in a casket? Please let Shelton win this. This + the MitB would be perfect for him. Yes! He wins it! Good stuff man, made the right decision. Punk and Edge is good. Where was Kofi when he said he had his back earlier, he needed him but he wasn't there? Strange. Anyway, Interesting Match, expected Edge to win, but I was wrong, which isn't always a bad thing MVP's your WWE Champion? Like that a lot. Like how Triple H and MVP were able to continue the feud they had going, but Cena didn't seem like an extra or a distraction. MVP winning is good, I see HHH/ MVP now. Like this a lot man, great stuff, really gripping! Best match Imo was the ECW title one, which was booked perfectly. (:

Fantastic stuff to see Kaval as the Intercontinental Champion, Kev. I can't say that I'm a fan of Ryan Braddock. Kevin Thorn retaining is fine by me, but I was expecting Tyler Black to capture the belt. Nice to see Mickie James win the Womens Championship back from Katie Lea Burchill. I'm glad that you atleast gave Katie a run with the title. Jeff beating Jericho is fine by me. I'd love to see that feud continue into Survivor Series with Team Jeff vs. Team Jericho. That'd rock. Didn't expect Kane to beat Batista. Cool stuff, though. Shelton beating The Undertaker is huge, but like Dan said, I just can't see him as WWE or World Heavyweight Champion, even although I'd love for him to win it. I love that you're pushing Chris Masters. I actually really like that guy. Punk retaining is fine, just hope you don't go down the route of Vickie firing Masters from SmackDown, although that could be interesting. Masters on ECW as monster heel would be amazing. Come to think of it, Masters/Black could be pretty damn awesome. MVP beating Triple H and John Cena is great. I'm loving that MVP is the WWE Champion. Overall, No Mercy was fantastic, Kev. Can't wait for RAW, ECW and SmackDown, man.

NO MERCY: Monster is a great song choice dude. Kicking off with the IC Championship match is a brilliant way to kick off the Pay-Per-View. Hapyy to see Kaval pick up the gold, especially with the pin on Braddock who should'nt be on PPV. Though I am happy for Kaval I wonder what you will do next with Bourne. Please don't job him out because that's what I am expecting on RAW. I hope MVP retains, I like the waty since winning the title at SummerSlam, he hasn't been in One-on-One Championship Matches, because if he is he has a risk of losing it. The ECW Title Match was booked well as it makes it seem like Black wasn't slaughtered and that he would've beaten Thorn. Once again, I wonder what's next for Black. I'm glad Mickie won back the championship as you needed a face champion. Have a nice reign Mickie. Happy to see Jeff win as Jericho didn't need the victory. Surprised to see Kane win but atleast the victory wasn't clean, which would've been bad for Batista. Far from over? I'm geussing we pick the SS Stip. I lol'd at Stephanie threatening to fire Morley. Casket Match up next....this should be great. WOW. Benjamin defeats the Deadman in his own match. It would be a great time for Benjamin to cash in now with the huge victory. Class World Title Match with CM Punk retaining the World Heavyweight Championship. I'm geussing that we vote his opponent at Cyber Sunday. YES! MVP WINS, HE DID IT. A Great retain for the ballin' superstar. I was very happy to see that Kev. The pin of Triple H was right too but hat's next for Cena? hmmm... Great showing.
CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE.....

Raw 10/5/09 Preview-Less than 24 hours ago, WWE Champion MVP retained his Championship in a Triple Threat match against former Champions John Cena and Triple H. Both of those challengers already want another shot and will be vying for one at Cyber Sunday. But, a few weeks back another Superstar put his name in the hat for a Cyber Sunday title shot. That man is Ted Dibiase Jr. They all get a chance to prove themselves tonight at MVP teams with Cena to take on Triple H and Dibiase in our main event! -Kane and Batista's rivalry has been heating up over the past few months and it continued last night. Kane picked up a victory after nailing Batista with the urn. Both men will be in attendance tonight, and things are sure to explode again as Batista has promised revenge. First he must get by the red hot Elijah Burke as they go one on one tonight! -The rest of the Championship pictures on Raw changed drastically last night as Kaval became the new Intercontinental Champion and Mickie James became the new Women's Champion. Both of our new Champions will be spectators tonight as they watch two competitive matches in their respective division. Ryan Braddock will take on Evan Bourne, while Mickie James will watch Melina take on ECW's Paradox! -Jayson Paul and Shad Gaspard have been World Tag Team Champions over a month now and they need new number one contenders. They won the belts in a Fatal Four Way Tag Team match, so their new contenders will be crowned that way. Tonight, Legacy, The British Alliance, The Second City Saints and Tyler Reks & Johnny Curtis will all do battle with the winner getting a title shot next week on Raw! Tune into the USA Network tonight at 9:00PM for all of this and much more!

WWE NO MERCY- Great Opener, I really like who is in this match, some fresh faces. Even more happy that Kavel won, he really deserves that belt, even though Ryan's title reign was a bit short. Nice MVP promo, really makes me look forward to the main event. ECW match was at the perfect place in the card, glad to see Thorn retain, he needs a nice title reign. OK diva match, Mickie winning was ok I guess. Good Punk/Kofi promo, will involve himself in the title match? Jeff hardy/ Jericho is match of the night, so far. I like the ending with Jericho missing the bulldog and Jeff hitting his famous combo. Jeff needed that win or he would have been hurt. And the way Jericho loss it doesn't make him look weak, good booking. Batista vs. Kane was ok for these two. I would have put Batista over, because this feud shouldn't last long, put if this will have Kane get in to some title picture, I'm all for it. Ok for Kane to win be cheating. Ha Sean got b**ched slapped. Great casket match, it really helped Shelton's career. I could see Shelton winning with that briefcase shot. Great world title match, I see you are counting CM Punk's great title reign, Chris Masters interfering in a main event makes me laugh, hope it's not the last from Punk/Edge. I'm glad MVP won, he should keep the belt until DEC/JAN. I can see more HHH/MVP. Decent show, can't wait for the aftermath.

October 5th, 2009 Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. Attendance: 18,627
Raw opened with a video package, first showing the crowning of a new Intercontinental Champion and then a new Women’s Champion. It then shows Kane’s victory over Batista and culminates by showing MVP retain the WWE Championship.Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole introduce us to tonight’s No Mercy fallout edition of Monday Night Raw. They hype up tonight’s main event, featuring WWE Champion MVP teaming with John Cena to take on Triple H and Ted Dibiase Jr. Before they can continue, they are interrupted.“New Day” hits as Legacy makes their way down to the ring. Being the leader, Ted gets on the microphone first. He reminds us that he’s been a pretty vital part of Raw in 2009. He returned at WrestleMania and helped Randy Orton become World Heavyweight Champion. Then, after Orton was drafted away to Smackdown, he became the new leader of Legacy. Under his leadership, Cody Rhodes and Joe Henning became World Tag Team Champions; while he went on to win the Intercontinental Championship. Ted promises that Rhodes and Henning will wear Tag Team gold again, but he doesn’t want to shoot for the Intercontinental Title anymore. He mentioned challenging for the WWE Championship a few weeks back and now that No Mercy is over, it’s his time to get his shot. Triple H’s theme hits as he makes his way to the ring. He tells Ted that he’s wrong because his time is not now. It is still the Game’s time. He still has unfinished business with MVP and his little girlfriend and he wants the WWE Title that is rightfully his back. Eric Bischoff comes to the top of the ramp, with Sean Morley behind him. Bischoff states that it doesn’t matter what they think about the WWE Championship, it’s what he thinks. He says that he hasn’t clearly figured out a number one contender yet, so in tonight’s main event tag team match, Dibiase, Triple H and John Cena will all get their chances to show which one deserves the title shot the most. Commercial Break.Cody Rhodes and Joe Henning are in the ring when the show returns. The World Tag Team Champions, Jayson Paul and Shad Gaspard come out and get on commentary.Number One Contender’s Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match Legacy vs. The British Alliance w/ Katie Lea & Layla London vs. The Second City Saints vs. Tyler Reks and Johnny CurtisLike the other fatal four way tag team match that we saw about a month back, this was pretty much a cluster of action. We saw many quick tags and no team dominated any part of the match. Each guy got to hit their main signature move. Paul and Gaspard provided some very good commentary work. After nearly ten minutes of action, we reached the finish as a big brawl started, with the two legal men left in the middle of the ring. Those two were Ace Steel and Johnny Curtis. Steel picked up the victory after the Steel Spike. Winners: The Second City Saints (9:51) **½The World Tag Team Champions quickly rushed the ring and beat down on their opponents for next week. They stood over them with the belts raised high in the air.Commercial Break. We return to see Angela Fong in the back with John Cena. She asks Cena bout tonight’s main event being extremely important now that Eric Bischoff will be watching closely to see who deserves a WWE Title shot. Cena says that regardless of who’s watching, he planned on going out there and giving it his all and showing that he deserves a title shot. Women’s Match Melina vs. ParadoxParadox showed why the WWE was so eager to sign her as she put on a great showing here. She went back and forth with Melina and looked better in ring wise at some points. After hitting Unhallowed Grace [springboard moonsault], she thought she had it won, but Melina managed to kick out. Later in the match, she went for her Desecrator finisher, but Melina blocked it and nailed her with the Last Call to end it. Winner: Melina (6:00) **Women’s Champion Mickie James is shown with the belt on her shoulder, watching this match on a monitor in the back.Commercial Break.WWE Champion MVP is shown as he enters the General Manager’s office. He tells Bischoff that he wants his hands on Triple H, one on one. Bischoff tells him that Triple H has to show that he’s deserving of a title shot in tonight’s main event. MVP tells him that he wants HHH in a fight next week, the title doesn’t have to be on the line or anything, and he just wants full revenge. Bischoff tells him that he’ll think about it.Singles Match Batista vs. Elijah BurkeThese two had a pretty good match on Smackdown a few years back, but this one was better. Burke once again showed that he’s a superstar as he hung tough with The Animal. Batista used his power advantage throughout, but Burke kept fighting back. Burke managed to hit the Outer Limits Elbow Drop and his 4-Up uppercut, but Batista kicked out of both. The finish came when he went for the Elijah Express, only to have Batista move out of the way. He followed that up with the Batista Bomb to seal the deal. Winner: Batista (11:29) ***
Commercial Break. We return to see Melina icing her neck after her tough match earlier. Women’s Champion Mickie James comes up to her and congratulates her on winning. She tells her that she’ll be watching the upcoming diva matches on Raw and she’ll be giving out title shots to the most deserving women and Melina’s at the top of that list at the moment. Melina thanks her as James leaves.
Batista is shown walking towards his locker room, when he’s attacked from behind by Kane. Kane viciously assaults him with a steel pipe, eventually busting The Animal open. Kane continues the beating for a short while, before pouring gasoline on him and lighting a match. Referees and other wrestlers rush in to break this up before Batista is set on fire.Commercial Break.
Singles Match Evan Bourne vs. Ryan Braddock w/ Candice MichelleThese two met on last week’s Raw, but Braddock was still Intercontinental Champion at the time. Bourne had a better go around this time, as he held control. Even when Candice attempted to interfere, it didn’t faze him as he knocked her off the apron to the crowd’s approval. He then nailed Braddock with the Airborne for the victory. Winner: Evan Bourne (8:49) **½Bourne leaves up the ramp when Intercontinental Champion Kaval runs out and nails him with the belt. He yelled something about being better than Bourne and that everybody will know soon enough.Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match John Cena & WWE Champion MVP vs. Ted Dibiase Jr. & Triple HThis was your typical tag team main event. Both teams went back and forth early on, but Dibiase and HHH managed to beat down on the WWE Champion with quick tags and cutting the ring in half. MVP ended up nailing HHH with the Player’s Boot and that allowed him to make the hot tag to Cena. He went back and forth with HHH until a low blow behind the referee’s back, followed by a rollup with a handful of tights, wrapped up the win for the heels. Winners: Triple H & Ted Dibiase Jr. (10:55) ***Triple H left up the ramp as MVP and Cena stayed in the ring. Dibiase was on the outside as Eric Bischoff's theme hit. The General Manager came out and said that after watching tonight’s main event, he is still undecided on who the number one contender should be. So he’s chosen to allow the fans to select one. In three weeks, as Cyber Sunday, MVP will defend the WWE Championship against Triple H, John Cena or Ted Dibiase Jr. It’s all up to the fans to make the choice.© WWE 2009

Good opening segment as it made Legacy look important to open up th show. Fine win for the SCS, hope you can do something to make me care about the tag titles. No idea who Paradox is so I'm glad Melina won. Batista/Burke is solid, Batista winning was the obvious call. Nice win for Bourne. Nice tag match to end the show, funny seeing HHH/DiBiase on the same team. Figure it'll be MVP vs. Cena @ Cyber Sunday, couldn't see people voting otherwise.

The Legacy opener was great, Kev. I absolutely love tag team matches with more than one team, so that tag match was fantastic. Not surprised to see Curtis take the fall from Steel. Melina/MsChif is awesome stuff. I like how you've not used the MsChif name, but you've kept the Desecrator name as it helped me remember who she was. Batista/Burke is great, and obviously Batista was winning that one. Bourne/Kaval at Cyber Sunday? I sure as hell hope so! Nice main event. Gotta agree with Charisma on it being MVP/Cena at Cyber Sunday. Once again, Kemp produces a fantastic graphic, and one again you produce a great show.

RAW: Surprised to see Legacy kick things off. Nice decision, placing DiBiase in the main event. Nice having Triple H still there, him and MVP would put on a kick ass singles match. The British Alliance should've won the tag match, tbh. I prefer them to the Second City Saints who have already held tag gold in this diary. Please push The BA. Strange seeing an ECW Diva on RAW but I geuss she doesn't have much competition over there. Happy that Melina won as obviously your putting her back in the WWE Title race. As I said earlier, The Game vs MVP would be ace. Glad Batista won but don't job Burke out, I want that IC Title around his waist within the next year. Decent Diva segment, but I hope its not all nicey nicey. Batista almost set on fire!? I hope to see us chosing the stip at Cyber Sunday for their feud ending match. Glad Bourne won, demote Braddock, he sucks. Kaval vs Bourne is back? cool but I hope it doesn't last too long. Pretty kick ass Main Event there. Happy to see the heels as the victors but you made a typo by writing, Winners: Triple H. If we choose MVP's opposition then I'll vote via MSN. I like the 3 choices. Nice show, very enjoyable and realistic.

RAW- Good opening promo with Legacy, seems like you have something planned for Ted and i like that. Great opener, but it didn't seem as good from the one a month ago. The SCS winning is fine, post match beat down sets something up. Ok diva match Melina, winning good. Elijah Burke vs. Batista was good, I would really like to see you do something with Burke. but, I can see that the current IC division is full. Batista winning is obvious, because there in two different "Leagues". Makes sense now why Melina won after that promo. Kane attacking Batista was uncalled for, great way to continue the rivalry though. Like I said in the No Mercy review, don't continue this feud much longer. Evan winning was nice, as he should have one more match vs. Kavel. but, I would gave Ryan a win soon. Another attack. More great bulid up. So far this Raw has really made me want more. Good main event, I thought Ted would have gotten the win after the promo early. MVP vs. Cena/HHH/Ted could be good any way, because of this push you seem to be giving Ted now.
Nice show, So far Cyber Sunday will be good, I hope we can vote.

ECW 10/6/09 Preview-Two nights ago, ECW Champion Kevin Thorn retained his belt against Tyler Black at No Mercy. But, it took some underhanded tactics to do so. Thorn now needs a new number one contender and he'll get one tonight. In our main event, Tyler Black will go one on one with Mr. Kennedy in a battle of fan favorites. The winner of this main event will face Kevin Thorn for the ECW Championship next week on ECW! -ECW's resident super-hero, The Hurricane, has been doing his best to battle the evil doers on Tuesday nights. His top target has been Brood member Hade Vansen. Tonight, Hade will defend his Television Championship against The Hurricane. Will Vansen's reign of terror continue or will The Hurricane bring some justice to the belt? -At Unforgiven, Rey Mysterio defeated Jack Swagger in one on one action. A few weeks ago, Swagger evened the score after beating the master of the 619. Last week, Mysterio pinned Swagger in a six man tag. Tonight, they will meet again, but this time it will be extreme! That's right, Jack Swagger will take on Rey Mysterio in an Extreme Rules match! Tune into the Sci-Fi Network at 9:00 PM for all of this and much more!

- I like that DiBiase is the leader of Legacy, and that you have booked him really well to become a main event guy. - Good opening segment with DiBiase/HHH and Bischoff. - SCS going over works for me as I always have liked them. - MVP/HHH in a fight next week? Perhaps a parking lot brawl?! - Very happy to see Burke on RAW and that he made it competitive with Batista. - What the… Kane wanting to set Batista on fire? I smell a inferno match coming. - Good to see Bourne winning. - Good main event, and I like Cyber Sunday. I would think Cena would win the voting, though.

October 6th, 2009 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland Attendance: 12,289
ECW opens with a short video package. It showed Kevin Thorn retain the ECW Championship at No Mercy, despite underhanded tactics against Tyler Black.Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to another exciting edition of ECW, live here in Baltimore. They announce that tonight, a huge main event has been signed. Tyler Black will go one on one with Mr. Kennedy, with the winner going on to face Kevin Thorn for the ECW Championship next week!Matt Hardy’s theme hits as WWE’s resident “Black Cloud” makes his way to the ring. He gets in and immediately begins to complain that he’s not involved in tonight’s number one contender match. He says that he was the one who got two of the three pinfalls in the Elimination Chase the past few weeks. Despite Tyler Black beating him in a fluke last week, Black lost at No Mercy and that should automatically put him next in line for the ECW Title shot. He is cut off by the theme music of the ECW Original, Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer tells him that he needs to stop whining because there is no whining in ECW. He said that last month he got an ECW Title shot, because he earned it after winning a battle royal. There is no second in line, there is only the guy who’s first, so Matt should prove that he deserves the shot. Matt laughs this off and tells Dreamer to get in the ring and find out first hand why he deserves the shot. Singles Match Matt Hardy vs. Tommy DreamerHardy quickly attacked Dreamer before he could even get himself settled in. That allowed Hardy to control the majority of the contest. Of course, Dreamer made his heroic comeback late in the match, but had his DDT blocked. That allowed Hardy to quickly nail the Twist of the Fate for the win. Winner: Matt Hardy (7:08) **½Josh Matthews is backstage with Tyler Black. He asks Black about losing at No Mercy. Black said that it’s eating away at him and he vows to get back at Thorn and get back into ECW Title contention tonight.Commercial Break.Theodore Long is shown backstage in his office when a knock is heard on the door. In steps the team of Perfectly Awesome, along with their beautiful ladies. They ask Long about their future World Tag Team Title shot on Raw. They want to know why is it that if they’re guaranteed a shot, why was there a number one contender’s match last night. Long says that they can have the shot when they want and Eric Bischoff wasn’t sure that would be soon enough. They can have their shot after the Second City Saints. Perfectly Awesome say that sounds good, but they’ll decide on the date. Television Championship Hade Vansen (c) w/ The Brood vs. The Hurricane w/ Gavin Spears & TiffanyHurricane was smart to bring out his friends to help even out the odds on the outside. These two went back and forth for a while in a very good match until the interference began to happen. Gangrel tried to get on the apron, but Spears brought him down and they started brawling. Paradox and Tiffany brawled as well. With everybody kept busy, that allowed the in ring stuff to come to a clean end. Vansen went for his spike DDT, but Hurricane reversed it and nailed the Eye of the Hurricane to become the new Champion. Winner and NEW Television Champion: The Hurricane (7:07) ***The Hurricane celebrated up the ramp with his friends, as the Brood was left in shock in the ring. Kevin Thorn began to scold his minions as we cut to commercial.Commercial Break.Matt Striker and Todd Grisham welcome us back to ECW and bring us to a short video package showing highlights of the rivalry between Jack Swagger and Rey Mysterio recently.Extreme Rules Match Jack Swagger vs. Rey MysterioJust like their two previous singles matches, this was a great contest. It began with some back and forth stuff early on, until the weapons were introduced. Swagger got the first one as he grabbed a chair from ringside and leveled Rey. Next, he introduced a trash can which he used several times. Swagger was in total control until Rey dropkicked a chair into his face. He then cleared off the announce table. He turned right into a belly to belly on the outside from Swagger. Swagger got him on the table and then delivered the Gutwrench Powerbomb through it. Swagger rolled Rey into the ring and covered him for the three. Winner: Jack Swagger (10:59) ***¼
Commercial Break.
Number One Contender Match Mr. Kennedy vs. Tyler BlackAs expected, this was a tightly contested, back and forth match. Both men wanted the title shot badly and it showed. They each kicked out of the other’s signature moves, like Kennedy’s Green Bay Plunge and Black’s Paroxysm. They continued to go back and forth until Black hit the Buckle Bomb. He covered but Kennedy got his foot on the bottom rope. Black lifted him up for God’s Last Gift, but Kennedy blocked it, fought out of it and snapped off the Mic Check for the win. Winner: Mr. Kennedy (12:15) ***Kennedy had the microphone drop from the rafters and announced that he was the winner and that the next ECW Champion’s name will be MRRRRRR. KENNEDY….Kennedy. He then waited for Tyler Black to get up and shook his hand.© WWE 2009

Hardy did have a point in his promo. He sounded like a heel, too. Hardy/Dreamer was a solid opener. Really surprised that Hurricane won the TV Title, I actually thought that he had no chance. Swagger/Rey probably should have main evented. Great match, liked the ending. Sort of sounded like Smackdown vs. Raw lol. Kennedy winning was the obvious call as you couldn't do Thorn/Black again. Eventful ECW.

Love Black Cloud Hardy hope he wins over Dreamer, short write up glad Hardy won, cool that Black in the main event status, Hurricane new champ yey! he's way better than Vansen, so glad Swagger went over would be cool to see him with the belt soon, confusing to have Paradox and a move called Paroxysm why did you name her Paradox, would have liked Black to win but thats just me, glad it was such a competitive match and at the handshake at the end, good luck and keep this up.

WWE RAW: Monday 5th October 2009...Good way to kick off the show with Legacy coming out, but it was pretty surprising that Ted Dibiase led out Cody Rhodes and Joe Hennig despite them not being involved in anything major from No Mercy the night before. I love that Dibiase mentioned a WWE Championship shot in his future, but if Randy Orton were to be back for March, it'd be amazing if WrestleMania XXVI featured Dibiase against Orton. I know I've mentioned that a lot in the past, but it'd seem like the amazing story arc if they did go to WrestleMania after being partners for two years. I liked Triple H getting involved, should be a standout main event with Montel Vontavious Porter having to fight off Triple H, John Cena and Ted Dibiase. Interesting four-corner tag team bout to open up RAW in the ring, but I wish that Legacy had won that bout, as it just would have made Dibiase's promo more meaningful. Second City Saints are a good combination, but I just feel that if they won the World Tag Team Championships, I'd be slightly put off. As much as I like them, I can't see it. Hopefully Jayson Paul and Shad Gaspard keep going as champs. Tyler Reks and Johnny Curtis meanwhile continue to not impress me. Decent win for Melina against Paradox, ECW on RAW? Strange that you didn't really explain that. Mickie James seems to have competition. Nice effort by Elijah Burke against Batista, good that Burke had a lot of offene, too. I'd like to see him as WWE Intercontinental Champion soon. Evan Bourne beating Ryan Braddock was foreseeable. I do hope that Kaval and Evan don't feud into Survivor Series, though. I also hope that Braddock doesn't drop back down the card now he lost the title. Lastly, great main event with Ted Dibiase and Triple H beating MVP and John Cena. Saw the choices thing happening for Cyber Sunday occuring, was a good episode this week. That poster is good too, but it looks pretty plain to me.

Smackdown 10/9/09 Preview-This past Sunday, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk retained his Championship against Edge in a great back and forth match. With WWE's next pay-per-view extravaganza, Cyber Sunday, just under three weeks away, CM Punk needs a new number one contender. Stephanie McMahon has promised to announce a main event tonight to determine who gets the shot at CM Punk at Cyber Sunday. Who will it be? Chris Jericho? Jeff Hardy? Shelton Benjamin? Kofi Kingston? The Undertaker? Big Show? Umaga? -Speaking of CM Punk, he will be in some action of his own on Smackdown tonight. It won't just be any match though, it'll be Smackdown's first Champion vs. Champion match since this year's Royal Rumble WWE Title match. That's right, World Champion CM Punk will go one on one with United States Champion John Morrison. These two had a blistering rivalry on ECW a few years back, so we all know this will be a great contest. -Since being traded from Raw to Smackdown, The Technicians have had their eyes locked on the WWE Tag Team Championships. Ever since April, The New Hart Foundation have had a stranglehold on the straps and don't show any signs of letting up. The most recent tag title reign to last nearly as long as the Hart Foundation's current one, was John Morrison & The Miz's World Tag Title reign earlier this year. That dominant reign was ended by the Technicians. Can they end another historic reign, when they get their shot tonight? Tune into MyNetwork TV tonight at 8:00PM for all of this and a whole lot more!

10/9/09 Edition-Expect Big Show to retire soon. He's been discussing it for months now and it's only a matter of time before it happens. It will happen in early 2010, maybe at WrestleMania, but most likely before that. He won't be getting a big send off either. -Creative has just begun setting up the plans for the 2010 draft. Rumor has it that Tyler Black, Ted Dibiase Jr., Jack Swagger, Triple H, Gail Kim & Chris Jericho will be moved. This is all just speculation though. -There has been talk of splitting Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. Ryder has been gold with his internet gimmick, "The Woo Woo Woo Guy", while Hawkins has been rather stale. If they were to break up, Ryder would get the singles push. -The Eric Escobar push has been halted. His first few appearances on ECW didn't go quite as planned and the fans weren't reacting to him at all. He may stay up on the main roster, but nothing is sure at the moment.

Smackdown opens with a video package from No Mercy. It shows Jeff Hardy defeat Chris Jericho, Shelton Benjamin pull off the upset and beat Undertaker in a Casket match and ends with CM Punk retaining the World Heavyweight Championship against Edge. The opening fireworks go off and the announce team of Jim Ross and Tazz welcome us to another edition of Friday night Smackdown. They hype up that we will find out who CM Punk will defend the World Title against at Cyber Sunday tonight as well as a Champion vs. Champion match tonight.Edge’s theme hits as he makes his way to the ring and he doesn’t look happy. He talks about how CM Punk got lucky last night. He tells the world that it was all a fluke and that Punk could never do it again, no matter how lucky he gets. Edge demands to have his name thrown into the hat for a chance to face Punk at Cyber Sunday. Out comes Stephanie McMahon. She announces that she’s already chosen the two superstars who will go one on one tonight for a shot at the World Title. It will be Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin, two guys who actually won their matches at No Mercy. Vickie Guerrero makes her way to the stage now and reminds everybody that she still has pull around here. She says that Stephanie may have chosen Benjamin and Hardy, which is great, but Vickie gets a choice as well. Her decision is that tonight’s main event will be Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge in a Triple Threat match. Edge has a huge smile on his face as we go to commercial. Commercial Break. We return to see World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk in his locker room. Kofi Kingston enters and congratulates him on beating Edge at No Mercy. He then tells Punk that he’s going to help him out and give him some insight on John Morrison. Punk thanks him for that and they continue to talk.Tag Team Match Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder vs. Paul London & Brian KendrickLast week, London told Kendrick to keep his oversized jacket for a reason as tonight, both men came out sporting one. The crowd loved seeing these guys together again and they gave them what they wanted. London looked like he hasn’t missed a beat since he left. The teams went back and forth but in the end, Kendrick nailed Hawkins with Sliced Bread, which London followed with a standing shooting star press for the win. Winners: Paul London & Brian Kendrick (5:27) **½Angela Fong is backstage with the WWE Tag Team Champions, The New Hart Foundation. She asks them about defending the belts against the Technicians tonight. TJ Wilson speaks and says that The Technicians are going to find out why they’ve dominated Smackdown in 2009. Fong then asks about the return of London and Kendrick. Harry Smith says that London and Kendrick may have the longest reign as WWE Tag Team Champions in history, but the New Hart Foundation will surpass that, even if they try to step in their way. Commercial Break.
Divas Tag Team Match Divas Champion Gail Kim & Michelle McCool vs. Maryse and Natalya NeidhartThis was your basic Divas tag match. The heels worked over McCool, with Natalya doing most of the work. McCool eventually managed to make the tag to Kim, who came in and cleaned house. She tagged McCool back in after a short while and McCool pinned Maryse after nailing the Faith Breaker. Winners: Divas Champion Gail Kim & Michelle McCool (4:44) **After the match, while they celebrated, McCool tapped the Divas Title and told Kim that she was coming for it. Natalya and Maryse then jumped them from behind and all four women began to brawl in the ring. Officials come out to break it up and Stephanie McMahon and Vickie Guerrero appear on the titantron. They say that they notice the four women have had their issues lately and they will be settled at Cyber Sunday. Gail Kim will defend her Divas Championship against Maryse, Michelle McCool & Natalya Neidhart in a Fatal Four Way match. And the WWE Universe will decide the stipulation for the match!Commercial Break.
Non-Title Champion vs. Champion Match World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. United States Champion John MorrisonAs expected, this was a classic and was the match of the night. If you look at their past, Morrison holds the edge in their head to head matches. This got a lot of time and they went back and forth. Morrison hit his springboard kick, while Punk hit his springboard clothesline. Morrison hit the Starship Pain; Punk hit his trademark knee strike/bulldog combination. In the end though, Morrison attempted a pin with his feet on the ropes but the referee caught him. He argued with the referee, and then turned right around into a Go 2 Sleep. Winner: World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk (14:26) ****
Commercial Break.
Singles Match Big Show vs. Chris MastersThis was kept really short as just over a minute into the match, Umaga interfered. He and Masters continually beat down on Show causing the disqualification. Winner by Disqualification: Big Show (1:24) No RatingThey continued to beat on Big Show until the officials broke it up. The cameras cut to the back, where Stephanie McMahon is arguing with Vickie Guerrero over what just occurred. Stephanie says that she’s tired of having Vickie’s henchmen interfere in every Big Show match. She announces that next week, we will see a ten man tag main event. Edge, Umaga, Masters, Hawkins and Ryder against Show and four other superstars, that he hand selects. Vickie doesn’t seem to mad about this as she’s confident in her guys.Commercial Break.
WWE Tag Team Championship The New Hart Foundation (c) w/ Natalya Neidhart vs. The Technicians w/ Kelly KellyThis was a technically sound, mat wrestling clinic. These two teams put on a show and had the best tag team match on TV since the Hart Foundation beat the Colons in a Steel Cage. The match started with back and forth action, but the Foundation took over late. Haas got the hot tag and turned the tide, but it was too little too late. The Foundation was just too good and managed to put away Haas after the Springboard Hart Attack. Winners and Still WWE Tag Team Champions: The New Hart Foundation (10:10) ***¼Josh Matthews is shown in the back with “The Gold Standard” Shelton Benjamin. Before he can ask a question, Benjamin grabs the microphone and brags about putting the Undertaker out of action for good. He promises to win tonight and beat CM Punk at Cyber Sunday. He mentions that he might not even need his Money in the Bank because once he wins the belt at Cyber Sunday; he doesn’t plan on losing it.Commercial Break.
Number One Contender Triple Threat Match Edge vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton BenjaminJust as expected, this was an awesome main event. Three of the WWE’s most consistent stars in 2009 put on a great match. Edge and Benjamin worked together early on but they eventually turned against each other and battled. That allowed Jeff to connect with Whisper in the Winds right onto them. The match was back and forth the rest of the way. Jeff had the match won as Shelton nailed Edge with Paydirt but turned right into in a Twist of Fate. Chris Jericho then ran down and nailed Jeff with a steel chair. He lifted him and connected with the Codebreaker. The crowd booed as Jericho left the ring and Edge rolled over and placed his arm on Jeff’s body for the win. Winner: Edge (12:56) ***¾Edge took home the win but was in no shape to celebrate. Chris Jericho smiled towards the ring and raised his arms as the boos rained down on him.© WWE 2009
