ECW 9/29/09 Preview-For the past two weeks, we have witnessed the Elimination Chase for a shot at the ECW Championship at No Mercy. Rey Mysterio and Mr. Kennedy have both been eliminated and tonight we will see the finals. "The Black Cloud" Matt Hardy will take on former Brood member Tyler Black. Since Matt's attitude change at Unforgiven, he's been on a roll picking up both pinfalls in the first two weeks of the Chase, but Black came the closest of everybody to winning the ECW Title at the Scramble Match. Which one of these two will face Kevin Thorn at No Mercy? -The Brood has had their issues with The Hurricane and Mr. Kennedy as of late, while Jack Swagger and Rey Mysterio are involved in a heated rivalry as well. Tonight, they all go head to head in a huge six man tag. The Hurricane will team with Rey Mysterio and Mr. Kennedy to take on ECW Champion Kevin Thorn, Television Champion Hade Vansen and "The All-American American" Jack Swagger! -Last week, we saw the debut of "The Puerto Rican Nightmare" Eric Escobar as he defeated Jimmy Wang Yang. Tonight, Escobar will be in action again as he takes on former Television Champion, Gavin Spears. Can Spears be the upset kid he's been on ECW, or will Escobar improve to 2-0 in his young career? -Plus, we will hear from two of ECW's top tag teams, Finlay & Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler and The Miz, both of whom want Tag Team gold! Tune into the Sci-Fi Network tonight at 9:00PM for all of this and more!

WWE RAW: Monday 28th September 2009...Decent way to kick off this edition of RAW with the new intro to John Cena making his way out to the ring, but he really sounded like he was complaining and whining. Not too characteristic of him there. Triple H coming out is nice, and all of this commotion with Montel Vontavious Porter and the WWE Championship is good, but no physical contact between the three makes things limited don't you think? Not fond of the Second City Saints picking up a win over Legacy, but it does garner a win for Scotty Goldman and Ace Steel. It's just embarrassing to see Ted Dibiase squandering with this team. He should go solo. Mickie James beating Candice Michelle is good, I hope she stays out of the ring personally, however. Great opening hour main event, but part of me wishes that this was the main event. MVP hasn't been given the true satisfaction as WWE Champion yet, he's mainly wrestled in midcards on shows, and really needs a main event win on pay-per-view, a defense by MVP should happen at No Mercy, otherwise his reign will be exposed as being weak. Elijah Burke is good standing by with Triple H, though. Ryan Braddock hasn't shown too much to me, but okay win for him tonight. Evan Bourne has been WWE Intercontinental Champion before, so I have no real problem. Lastly, good main evrnt between John Cena and Kane, Cena winning is fine. A good show overall, No Mercy is pretty packed.

Tonight’s broadcast opens with a video package showing Matt Hardy get the two pins in the first two Elimination Chase matches and then hypes up tonight’s main event of Matt Hardy vs. Tyler Black.Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to ECW after the opening fireworks. They promote tonight’s main event, which will determine Kevin Thorn’s opponent for this Sunday’s No Mercy. Also tonight, we will see a huge six man tag and more.Surprisingly, we hear the theme of Dolph Ziggler as he and the Miz open up ECW this week. As always, they are joined by Alicia Fox and Miranda Rodriguez. They get in the ring and begin to talk about the recent rumors that one of them will be traded in the coming weeks. These rumors have led to some arguments between them so they went to Teddy Long for confirmation. Long told them that the GMs are always talking about making deals, but he can’t release the information of who’s being dealt until a deal is made. So, they decided to not talk about the possibility of a split and just to focus on their tag team right now. Ziggler says that no team in WWE history is more “perfectly awesome” than they are and they will prove it when they get a shot at Tag Team gold. Out come Finlay and his nephew Sheamus. They say that they are the top tag team on ECW and want to prove it when they get a shot at the Tag Team Titles. Theodore Long comes out after the two teams bicker back and forth and announces that tonight on ECW; they will meet with the winners receiving a World Tag Team Title shot on Raw in the near future. The two teams stare each other down as we head to commercial. Commercial Break.
Singles Match Eric Escobar vs. Gavin Spears w/ TiffanySpears has really fallen off since his Television Title reign, but he still managed to put on a decent match here. He hung tough and hit some of his signature moves in this one, but in the end, Escobar proved to be too much as he put him away with the Latino Temper. Winner: Eric Escobar (5:09) **½We go to the back where we see a new diva, who introduces herself as Angela. She interviews Tyler Black about his upcoming main event match with Matt Hardy. Black says that once he broke away from The Brood there were two things he wanted more than anything. One was to be the ECW Champion and the other was to punish Kevin Thorn. If he wins tonight, he will get to do both at No Mercy. Commercial Break. When the cameras return, Matt Hardy is being interviewed by Josh Matthews. He says that he’s a changed man and wrestling for himself and not the fans has made him better and he will prove it when he wins back the ECW Title at No Mercy.Six Man Tag Team Match The Hurricane, Mr. Kennedy & Rey Mysterio vs. Television Champion Hade Vansen, ECW Champion Kevin Thorn & Jack Swagger w/ Paradox and GangrelThis got a lot of time and they made the best of it as it was a great match. For about the first seven minutes, we saw frequent tags and got to see everybody in the ring against each other. Then after a while, the heels began to cut the ring in half and dominate the Hurricane. He eventually hit a flying cross body and made the tag to Kennedy. He came in firing and began to take over the match. After some more back and forth action though, he ended up outside brawling with the ECW Champion, while in the ring, Mysterio nailed Swagger with the 619 for the win and he’s now pinned Swagger twice, while Swagger’s pinned him once. Winners: The Hurricane, Mr. Kennedy & Rey Mysterio (13:56) ***¼
Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Perfectly Awesome w/ Alicia Fox & Miranda Rodriguez vs. Finlay & Sheamus w/ HornswoggleAs expected, this was also a decent contest. The Irishmen hit the cocky duo with everything they had, but Miz or Ziggler would break up the pin for the other one. They continued to go back and forth, until Sheamus had Ziggler set for his finisher. Alicia Fox got on the apron to distract the referee, which allowed Miz to sneak in and hit Sheamus with a low blow. Finlay chased him outside, while Ziggler nailed Sheamus with the Zig Zag for the win. Winners: Perfectly Awesome (7:01) **¾Tyler Black and Matt Hardy are shown walking to the arena on a split screen, their main event match is next!Commercial Break.
Elimination Chase Finals Matt Hardy vs. Tyler BlackThis was the best match of the Elimination Chase as these two just went at it. Black held serve early on as his high flying offense was too much for Matt. Eventually, after a back breaker, Matt took back control. A commercial break came in between the match and when it returned, Matt was still in firm control and managed to set up Tyler for the Twist of Fate, but Black pushed him into the corner. Matt came out the corner and Black connected with the Buckle Bomb. Matt got up to his knees and ducked Black’s super kick. He then hit the Twist of Fate from out of nowhere but Black kicked out. Matt got upset and picked up Black, but he hit God’s Last Gift out of nowhere for the victory. Winner: Tyler Black (12:47) ***½Black celebrated with the crowd and kept motioning that the ECW Title would be his this Sunday.© WWE 2009 [/center]

Nooo, not Gavin Spears losing! Fantastic six person tag team match. I'm loving how you're building the Rey/Swagger feud. Good stuff, Kev. Perfectly Awesome over Finlay and Sheamus is.. well, perfectly awesome. I just hope you ditch either Alicia Fox or Miranda Rodriguez soon as I don't like them having two valets. I'd rather you kept Miranda as the valet and had Alicia go to RAW or SmackDown since she's the better worker out of her and Miranda. Fantastic main event for ECW. I'm extremely shocked that Black went over Hardy, but then I remembered how much you've pushed Black in this diary. Good stuff, Kev!

Catch up time.
RAW: I'm sure Triple H will do something to make sure Kane wins later. Oh well Maybe not then, lol. Wow, surprised at The win for the SCS. Legacy aren't looking amazing right now, they need something to do. I like the British Allience I hope they win something down the road. Man, I loved that promo with Burke saying that its not a feud. Glad Mickie won, don't really like Michelle as a wrestler. I believe that Katie will retain at No Mercy but it was a nice attack tonight. Glad Burke put Truth away, proving his promo correct earlier. I like the way Triple H leveled Eve but MVP couldn't do a thing about it, clever booking. Montel Gonna Kill You. Good decision to have Braddock win before No Mercy. Glad Cena could finally beat Kane. I liked the post match titantron viewing, glad nothing happened.
Awesome show there Kev, time for ECW.
ECW: Black vs Hardy should be great, I see Tyler picking up the victory. Ziggler? cool but a weird way to open ECW on Sci Fi. I like the Perfectly Awesome bit. I would like Ziggler to be traded and pushed. I would like to see either team pick up tag team gold but more so The Irishmen as I would like a singles push for Miziggler. I really do hate Escobar, he has nothing going for him. Hopefully you can get Spears back on track. I'm begging you to put that ECW Title on Black. Matt Hardy shouldn't win as he's feuding with Kennedy. I would've had Thorn get the win but Mysterio is cool I geuss. Glad Pefectly Awesome won, geuss this means no trades soon but atleast they are getting pushed. VERY happy that Black could pick up the victory although i now see him losing to Thorn at No Mercy. Great show which I enjoyed more than RAW tbh, I didn't see all that fitting into an hour though.
Just another quick note, I really enjoy clicking the titantrons and listening to the music.

Smackdown 10/2/09 Preview-Last week on Smackdown, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and The Undertaker defeated Edge and Shelton Benjamin via disqualification after Benjamin nailed 'Taker in the head with the Money in the Bank briefcase. After the match though, both Benjamin and Edge fell victim to Punk and Undertaker. Tonight, we will add another red hot rivalry to this as Chris Jericho and Jeff Hardy join the fray. Hardy will team with Punk and The Undertaker to take on Edge, Jericho and Benjamin! -Also last week, Chris Masters went one on one with the Big Show. This match ended in controversy though as Vickie Guerrero's cronies attacked Show. As big as Show is, he was outnumbered heavily. He will be outnumbered once again tonight when he steps into the ring for handicap match action against Umaga and Chris Masters. Can the Big Show survive this challenge? -Three weeks ago at Unforgiven, Kofi Kingston lost the United States Championship that he held since July, to John Morrison. They were involved in a tag team match last week, but tonight, Kofi gets his rematch. John Morrison will defend his strap for the first time as he takes on Kofi Kingston in a heated rematch from Unforgiven! Can Kofi regain his gold or will Morrison claim victory again? Find out all of this and a whole lot more tonight at 8:00Pm on MyNetwork TV!

Hope Miz is traded instead of Ziggler. Like the trade rumors as it adds intrigue. Never seen Escobar or Spears. Good six-man tag although I'm not huge on Swagger doing the job. Loving Perfectly Awesome, glad Sheamus jobbed. Not surprised you'd have Black win.
No Mercy is looking good.

October 2nd, 2009 Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey Attendance: 19,040
This week’s edition of Friday Night Smackdown opens with a highlight reel of last week’s show ending with The Undertaker planting Shelton Benjamin with a chokeslam and CM Punk hitting Edge with a Go 2 Sleep.Jim Ross and Tazz welcome us to tonight’s show and they begin to promote the matches. First, they hype up the huge six man tag main event pitting Chris Jericho, Shelton Benjamin and Edge against World Champion CM Punk, The Undertaker and Jeff Hardy. Also tonight, we will see Big Show in a handicap match against Vickie Guerrero’s cronies, Umaga and Chris Masters and a United States Championship match.Unlike the previous two weeks, the show didn’t open with Punk or Edge, instead, Mr. Money in the Bank’s theme hit. Shelton Benjamin came down, with his golden briefcase in hand. He gets in the ring and says that this Sunday; we will all finally actually witness the end of the Undertaker’s storied career. Shelton says that ‘Taker has never faced a threat like him before and that he will place him and his career inside that casket and lock it away. He promises that he will show no mercy and then, after he handles The Undertaker, he has another idea that he might decide to act on. He holds up his briefcase. He says that he just may end the Undertaker’s career at No Mercy…and begin the biggest phase of his by cashing in Money in the Bank. He left to mostly boos, but really got his point across and it was possibly Shelton’s best promo ever. Commercial Break.
Singles Match WWE Tag Team Champion Harry Smith w/ TJ Wilson & Natalya Neidhart vs. Jamie Noble w/ Charlie Haas & Kelly KellyThis wasn’t anywhere near as good as last week’s Haas/Wilson match, but it was still decent. Noble knew that he needed this victory to at least give his team a chance at getting a WWE Tag Team Title match. Smith used his power advantage to dominate most of the match, but in the end, the smarts of Noble saved him as he used a quick small package to gain the victory. Winner: Jamie Noble (5:44) **½In the back, The Brian Kendrick is seen moping around once again. He bumps into Stephanie McMahon, who tells him that he needs to stop being so sad because it’s annoying and it’s making everyone around him depressed. She then tells him that he has a match up next, so he should go out there and try to win to boost his spirits.Commercial Break.
Singles Match The Brian Kendrick vs Zack Ryder w/ Curt HawkinsKendrick was once again very out of it and that allowed Ryder to have control of this match. After missing a leg lariat, Kendrick gained the upper hand for a short period of time though. He managed to hit a dropkick in the corner and then a German suplex. Kendrick seemed to be back in good form and called for The Kendrick but Curt Hawkins ran in and nailed him. Winner by Disqualification: The Brian Kendrick (5:02) **¼ The crowd booed the attack, as they seem to be sympathizing with Kendrick as of late. Suddenly, a familiar theme hits and Paul London runs down to the ring. He clears the ring of Hawkins and Ryder and then goes to help Kendrick up. Kendrick looks on in shock and then smiles and embraces London. The crowd ate up the segment as the reunited team posed on the ropes.Commercial Break.Josh Matthews is standing by with our United States Champion, John Morrison. He asks Morrison about his rematch with Kofi Kingston tonight. Morrison simply says that he’s beaten Kofi before and he’ll beat him just as easily again. He mentions that after tonight, he wants to be done with Kofi and will move on to the greater things that he’s destined for.Handicap Match Big Show vs. Chris Masters & UmagaNormally, a handicap match against the Big Show is bad for the team with the advantage, but Masters and Umaga are not regular sized superstars. They took it to Show from the get go and had him down and reeling from the start. Of course, Show made his valiant comeback. He began to wear down both of his opponents with some hard hitting shots. In the end, he had Masters set up for the Chokeslam, but Umaga nailed him in the back and drilled him with a Samoan Spike. Masters got Show to his knees and locked on the Masterlock and Show was already knocked out so the match was called. Winners: Chris Masters & Umaga (7:16) **¼In the back, Stephanie McMahon is shown with Vickie Guerrero. She says that she’s glad Vickie followed the rules and had no outside interference in that last match. Vickie says that Show just isn’t worth all the trouble of interference and walks away smirking at Stephanie.Commercial Break.
Divas Match Maryse vs. Michelle McCoolThis was your average divas match, and McCool controlled the majority of it. She hit most of her signature moves, but Maryse kicked out of each of them. Mid match, Divas Champion Gail Kim was shown watching backstage on a monitor. Shortly after that, Maryse put away McCool with the French TKO. Winner: Maryse (4:21) *¾In the back we see Paul London and The Brian Kendrick talking about London’s big return. Kendrick mentions that it was just what he needed and that he’s done being an egomaniac. He says that he’s changing his name back to Brian Kendrick and is going to get rid of his patented jacket. London stops him and tells him to at least keep the awesome jacket. They laugh and walk off.Commercial Break.
United States Championship John Morrison (c) vs. Kofi KingstonMuch like Unforgiven, these two put on a great match. Match of the night here as they stole the show. Kofi started hot, hitting the Champion with an offensive flurry. Morrison survived that and gained the upper hand after hitting his springboard kick off the second rope. Kofi evened it out after a monkey flip that Morrison oversold. It was back and forth after that, but Morrison ended it by wrapping up Kofi in a victory roll and grabbing the ropes for extra leverage. Winner and Still United States Champion: John Morrison (13:13) ***¼After the match, we see Chris Jericho walking towards the arena as the huge six man tag main event is up next!Commercial Break.
Six Man Tag Team Match Chris Jericho, Edge & Shelton Benjamin vs. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, Jeff Hardy & The UndertakerThere wasn’t as much time for this match as you’d expect but they still managed to put on a good show. We got a preview of No Mercy as everybody had their most interactions with their No Mercy opponents. The end came after some great back and forth action and Jericho was in the ring with Jeff. Jeff called for the Twist of Fate, but Jericho spun out of it and hit the Codebreaker from out of nowhere for the win. Winners: Chris Jericho, Edge & Shelton Benjamin (10:55) ***As one would expect, the show closed with an all out brawl between the four remaining superstars, while Jericho stood over Jeff Hardy posing. The crowd loved the ringside brawls and the last image we see is CM Punk and Edge trading fists.© WWE 2009

Hope it's a good show since it's in NJ lol. Ok match to open up, technical based for sure. Lol @ Kendrick talking to Stephanie about being depressed. I hope you eventually get Ryder away from Hawkins. Great to see Masters/Umaga winning, especially with Masters getting the final shot in. Thank you for letting Maryse win. Morrison/Kofi is a nice match to put on there. Always good seeing Jericho hit that out of nowhere. Good main event. Solid show, nothing out of the ordinary but everything had a point.

SmackDown, Shelton cashing in the MITB would be awesome, but which title would he go for? Most likely Punk's WHC, but I would love to see him make the jump to Raw and defeat MVP, or have MVP lose the title to someone else, but Benjamin immediately take it from them, sparking off another feud. Surprise but glad to see Noble go over here, glad to see him used well. Kendrick with a victory is good, by DQ is even better because it doesn't hurt Ryder. Londrick reunion? F' yeah! I was actually expecting Show to pull this one off, but it seems not. I hope you push Masters later on. Divas are meh, but glad Maryse picks up the victory. Funny segment with Londrick. Glad to see Morrison retain the United States Championship. Fantastic main Event here. Love the brawl to finish up. Great show, I look forward to No Mercy.

Jamie Noble over DH Smith is surprising. But it evens the playing field with The Technicians and The Hart Dynasty. I'd love to see you split Ryder/Hawkins up to give Ryder a solo push, but I guess Hawkins/Ryder are an extra team for you to use. Heck, even have them both go down the Woo woo woo route as a tag team. That'd be interesting to say the least. I'm one of the few people who likes Chris Masters, so him beating Big Show is big stuff, and awesome stuff. Push that guy! This show keeps getting better, Kev. Maryse over McCool = win. Hmm, not really sure on Londrick re-uniting, to be honest. Let's see how it pans out first. Epic main event and Jericho getting the pin makes it that bit more epic.

Awesome promo from the 'Gold Standard' I can see him cashing in at No Mercy tbh, he's had the breifcase for a while. Surprised to see Noble go over Smith but it continues there feud which will hopefully end with The Hart Foundation retaining. I hope this Kendrick thing ends tonight and you push him, its a good storyline tbh. Kendrick beating Hawkins makes sense espcially with the save from LONDON! woo. Londrick def. Ryderkins next week, I'm calling it. John Morrison is the single greatest thing god created, He will prove that tonight. Morrison shouldn't need ropes to win. lol. Awesome main event, which was a perfect end to a great show with the heels going over to steal momentum going into No Mercy. The show once again seemed short...wait? I missed the divas match AND the handicap match? DAMN. Not surprised that Masters and Umaga defeated Show in a handicap. Glad Maryse won, hope she can become champion again. Maybe, it wasn't so short. Awesome show.
Can't wait for No Mercy.

ECW on SyFy: Tuesday 29th September 2009...Good way to start off the show this week with Dolph Ziggler coming out with The Miz. I like that Ziggler and Miz are opening up the show this week, because it's freshening to see these two stars actually being used to a full capacity. I sense they could be the new WWE Tag Team Championships in about three months. Eric Escobar and Gavin Spears should have gone on second, really. I feel that since Miz and Ziggler opened the program, that they should have fought Finlay and Sheamus in the opening contest. Decent win for Escobar anyway, I'm not too fond of him, though, and can't see him going anywhere. Solid six-man tag team match to follow up, it's a really nice way to get everybody involved as the Brood and Jack Swagger took on The Hurricane, Mr Kennedy and Rey Mysterio. Hurricane, Mysterio and Kennedy winning is fine, no problem with that and I am glad that Mysterio got the win over Swagger for a change. Nice win for The Miz and Dolph Ziggler against Finlay and Sheamus, hopefully they end up somewhere good in the tag division, like I said before. I think it's fine that Tyler Black won the Elimination Chase competition against Matt Hardy, but it's way too soon for Black to be ECW Champion. Unfortunately, I could see it happening with this long story arc with the ECW Champion, Kevin Thorn. A decent show overall.
WWE SmackDown: Friday 2nd October 2009...Another fresh way to open up the show with Shelton Benjamin coming out and promoting his casket match on Sunday at No Mercy with The Undertaker. Looking forward to the six-man tag team match as well, should be pretty entertaining. Jamie Noble beating Harry Smith was surprising as Smith is so bigger than Noble. I do hope that the New Hart Foundation tower over the Technicians whenever they battle for the WWE Tag Team Championships, however. RAW's leftovers shouldn't be champs. The Brian Kendrick actually being given a match this way makes him seem a little whiny to me. Also not a fan of Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins only appearing whenever there's somebody else that needs a win. They need to be repackaged. Give them something to do, at least making them credible. Kendrick beating Ryder is okay, I guess. Hmm, as interesting as the return of Paul London and Brian Kendrick as a team may be good for the first few weeks, but there is an odd combo of teams on the SmackDown brand. Established teams, like London and Kendrick & Harry Smith and TJ Wilson. Uprising teams, such as Finlay and Sheamus & Dolph Ziggler and The Miz, and also Home teams, like the Technicians & Ryder and Hawkins. You should consider bumping London and Kendrick back to RAW in my opinion. SmackDown's tag division is easily overshadowing RAW's tag division, and that's not extremely good in my opinion. Interesting what you are doing with Big Show, with Umaga and Chris Masters feuding him, and defeating him here. Hopefully it goes somewhere and is not just a way to bury Show. Maryse beating Michelle McCool is fine, no real problem. Hehe, funny segment with London and Kendrick, but just bare what I said before in mind, please. A fresh Tag Team Draft would be a good idea for the New Year. John Morrison beating Kofi Kingston is good, as it shows Morrison as being a credible WWE United States Champion. Lastly, great six man tag team main event with Chris Jericho, Edge and Shelton Benjamin beating CM Punk, Jeff Hardy and The Undertaker. Great show overall, this week. No Mercy is packed.

10/3/09 Edition-Pairing Paul London back up with Brian Kendrick was the plan from the minute he was signed back. The feeling is that they can have the best tag team feud in years against The New Hart Foundation. -Rumor has it that WrestleMania XXVI could be bigger than XXV by a fair margin. While the World & WWE Title matches aren't expected to be grand, the show itself will feature plenty of big time matches, worthy of WrestleMania. -Big Show is planning to retire by the time 2010 hits. His current feud is most likely going to be used to get Chris Masters over as WWE has plans for him to be in the United States Championship picture sometime in 2010. -It seems that Perfectly Awesome won't be around for too long. As statetd previously, the WWE sees both The Miz and Dolph Ziggler as potential stars and they could both get singles pushes. In other tag team news, The Colons may be moved to ECW in the coming months, as WWE has not been happy with Primo. The move to ECW would mean a singles push for Carlito and a possible demotion for Primo.

I've said it once and I'll say it again Benjamin as MITB is awsome and him feuding with Taker makes it beyond awsome great booking, I hate Noble and Haas together just call them "Noble and Haas", London and Kendrick together again whoo, the feud with the Harts should be amazing give them a title run and a ladder match, not a fan of Masters, lol at the segment with Londrick, so glad Kofi and Morriosn put on such a good match, Y2J, Edge, Shelton= Dreamteam, nice main event glad the heels won, could you reply to ROH? good luck and keep this up

To open tonight’s Pay-Per-View, a video package is shown with the song “Monster” by Skillet playing in the background. It highlights tonight’s biggest matches, starting with the recent issues between Chris Jericho and Jeff Hardy, and then moving onto the long history of Kane and Batista. Next, it shows the rivalry involving The Undertaker and Shelton Benjamin and how it will culminate in a Casket Match tonight. Finally, the video ends after recapping the feuds over the World Heavyweight Championship and WWE Championship.
Our usual combination of three announce teams welcome us to No Mercy after a huge pyrotechnics display. The arena looks great as always and Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler take over as the Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship will kick off tonight’s festivities.Intercontinental Championship: Ryan Braddock (c) w/ Candice Michelle vs. Evan Bourne vs. KavalKaval made his way to the ring first to a chorus of boos. He’s drawn some great heat since his heel turn. Evan Bourne followed to a loud pop. Ryan Braddock got the most heat of the match though, as nobody seems to like him. The match started with the three of them going through a basic feeling out process. That turned into a battle on the mat, which Kaval won as he outperformed them there. That led to Bourne tossing Braddock to the outside and then going back and forth with Kaval. Much like their SummerSlam match, this was just great. It was fast paced as Bourne nailed an enziguri and hurricanrana, while Kaval hit a rolling wheel kick and then a double underhook suplex. Braddock got back into the ring and began to work with Kaval. They double teamed Bourne and really worked him over. Braddock hit a sidewalk slam and a gory special but when he went for the cover, Kaval broke it up. That, of course, led to them battling and Braddock got the advantage after hitting a chokeslam. He then locked on an ankle lock, a rarity for him, but it was broken up when Bourne hit his diving double knee drop off the top. He covered for a near fall. Bourne saw that Kaval was down so he climbed to the top. He attempted the Air Bourne, but Kaval got his knees up. He lifted Bourne and connected with his Fisherman Driver. Braddock went to nail him with the Lariat, but Kaval quickly ducked and hit a stiff head butt, dropping Braddock. He climbed to the top and delivered the Warrior’s Way to claim the gold. Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Kaval (12:41) ***“The Warrior” celebrated his first Championship in the WWE, much to the crowd’s dismay. Some people were cheering though, mostly because the title was no longer on Ryan Braddock.
The cameras cut to the back, where Josh Matthews was standing by with the WWE Champion MVP. He asked MVP about his feelings towards tonight’s Triple Threat main event. MVP says that he has no real personal problem with John Cena, but loves the competition with him. He becomes very serious and looks directly into the camera. He says that Triple H is a completely different story because he has taken out Eve on more than one occasion. MVP promises to make Triple H pay tonight, no matter what it takes.ECW Championship: Kevin Thorn (c) w/ The Brood vs. Tyler BlackTyler Black came out first to a very loud pop from the crowd, he really just seems to be growing in popularity by the show. Kevin Thorn followed, along with the rest of the Brood, to a chorus of boos. They got right in each other’s faces and traded fists once the bell rang. That let everybody know that this was going to be war. Black won the battle of fists and backed Thorn into the corner. Once there he fired away with rapid shots until the referee broke it up. When he went back after Thorn, he was met with a thumb to the eye. That allowed Thorn to take control, as he nailed Black with a big boot, shoulder breaker and locked in a sleeper hold. The crowd began to get loud as they attempted to rally Black back into control. He fought out of the sleeper after his arm dropped twice and he sent Thorn off the ropes and hit a big dropkick. Black ran at Thorn once he got up, but was met with a flapjack for a near fall. Thorn then hit a sitout spine buster for another very close near fall. He then called for the finish of the match, and hooked Black for the Original Sin. Black was ready though, and got his feet off the ropes and school boyed Thorn for two. Once they got up, Black was quick enough to hit a big boot, hurricanrana, STO and then the Paroxysm yet still could only get a near fall. Black then hit a standing moonsault and called for the end. He then drilled the ECW Champion with the Buckle Bomb. He hooked the leg but could only get another two count. Black waited for Thorn to get up and went for the superkick, but Thorn ducked, only to turn right into a Pele kick from Black. Black lifted him and hit God’s Last Gift, but Paradox got on the apron. Black had the cover held for about a five count. He released it and went to Paradox. Gangrel slid Thorn the cup he brings to the ring with him. Black turned back to Thorn, only to have what looked like blood spit into his face by Thorn. Paradox got off the apron, the referee turned back to the action, to see Thorn hit the Crucifix for the win. Winner and Still ECW Champion: Kevin Thorn (15:26) ***½The crowd booed heavily as Kevin Thorn retained the ECW Championship. He left up the ramp with Paradox, Gangrel and the Television Champion Hade Vansen. Tyler Black was just getting up in the ring and he was wiping his face of the red liquid.
In the back, all of the General Managers are shown in the office they share at Pay-Per-Views. They are discussing tonight’s events and Vickie Guerrero is very excited about the World Heavyweight Championship match tonight. Stephanie tells her not to be so happy, because CM Punk will not let Edge have anything easy. Eric Bischoff tells them both to simmer down and just get ready to watch another great match from the Raw brand.Women’s Championship: Katie Lea Burchill (c) w/ Layla London vs. Mickie JamesJust like at SummerSlam, the crowd was obviously behind Mickie, who came to the ring first. Katie was next and got a fair amount of boos. Once the bell rang, James ran right at the Champion and fired away. These two have endured a heated past few months and James was letting it all out here. She tossed Katie off the ropes and hit a Lou Thez press followed by even more right hands. She covered for a quick near fall. James then hit a snap mare, ran off the ropes and dropkicked Katie in the face. James attempted to deliver the Long Kiss Goodnight early, but Katie had it scouted and ducked it. She followed that with a gorgeous Northern lights suplex for a near fall. At this point, Katie held serve and began to hold the upper hand. She went on to hit a spinning backbreaker and a neck breaker variation but again only got two counts. She grew frustrated with this and went for the Hair Pull Backbreaker, but James elbowed her in the stomach and fought out of it. Before she could mount any real offense though, Katie tossed her into the corner. She ran in, but James hopped up and hit her trademark hurricanrana. Layla attempted to get on the apron, but James was ready and met her with a forearm shot to the face. Katie got up but was met with the Mick-DT, which sealed the win for James. Winner and NEW Women’s Champion: Mickie James (7:49) **¼Much to the crowd’s delight, a face managed to pick up a win tonight and with it comes a new Women’s Champion. James celebrated with the fans as Katie Lea and Layla London left up the ramp.
The cameras go to the back where World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk is shown watching an Edge match on the monitor, as he’s done the last few Pay-Per-Views. A knock is heard on the door this time though and in steps his former tag team partner, Kofi Kingston. They greet each other and talk about tonight’s World Title match. Kofi mentions how sneaky Edge can be and assures Punk that he has his back tonight. Punk thanks him and goes back to watching the match.
Our announcers take us to a commercial for the next Pay-Per-View event, Cyber Sunday, live October 25th, 2009 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The fans will get to vote on who gets to be in matches as well as the stipulations of certain matches.Chris Jericho vs. Jeff HardyJeff Hardy came to the ring first to the loudest pop of the night so far, sporting some very sweet face paint. Chris Jericho followed to the most heat of the night so far, so placing this match at this spot on the card was the right move. As expected, these two quite possibly stole the show and put on a clinic. They began with a collar and elbow tie up, which led to two wristlocks by Jericho. Those both turned into stand offs, where Jericho had the advantage. On the third attempt, Jericho was poised to win the stand off again, but Jeff used his speed to hit a dropkick for the advantage. Jericho went to the outside and regained his composure for a short while. Jeff went outside to get him and chased Jericho around the ring until Jericho got in the ring and stomped on him as he got in. Jericho pointed to his head to show off his cleverness. Jericho became his maniacal self at this point and started to work over Jeff’s back. He used a double under hook back breaker, sleeper slam and he even dusted off the double power bomb pin he used when he first got to WWE but just got near falls. He tossed Jeff into the corner, but Jeff hit Whisper in the Wind out of nowhere. That got the crowd pumped and it fueled Jeff’s comeback. He hit the Hardyac Arrest dropkick and then a sitout jaw breaker, which sent Jericho to the outside. Jeff went outside on the opposite side of the ring, jumped to the guardrail, ran across it and nailed Jericho with a flying clothesline. Jeff rolled him back into the ring and covered, but Jericho kicked out. Jeff signaled for the end and climbed to the top. He went for the Swanton Bomb, but Jericho got his knees up, right into Jeff’s back. Jericho quickly went for the legs and locked in the Walls of Jericho. Jeff looked extremely close to tapping out and the crowd was cheering him on. After nearly a minute, he managed to reach the ropes and break the hold. Jericho allowed him to get up and quickly went for the Codebreaker, but Jeff held onto the ropes, sending Jericho down on his own. Jeff quickly grabbed his legs and flipped over into a pin, but Jericho managed to just barely kick out. As they got up, Jeff went for the Twist of Fate but as he spun, Jericho pushed him off. Jericho ran at him and went for his one handed bulldog, but Jeff ducked, and Jericho crashed to the mat below. He got up, right into a Twist of Fate. Jeff didn’t even go for the cover as he climbed to the top and hit the Swanton Bomb for the victory. Winner: Jeff Hardy (17:02) ****The crowd went crazy as Jeff Hardy picked up a very hard fought victory in a match of the year candidate. We cut straight to the back after this, where new announcer Angela Fong is standing by with Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin cut a quick promo basically saying the same things he said to open Smackdown two nights ago.
Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler now take us to a short video package, about the history between Kane and Batista, dating back to the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View.Batista vs. Kane w/ Paul BearerThis was going to be an all out brawl and the crowd knew it from the start. Kane came out first and just like Jericho, got a whole lot of heat from the fans. Batista followed to a huge pop. Once the bell rang, “The Animal” charged at Kane but was met with a big boot. Kane looked down on Batsita and continued the assault, stomping away at him. He lifted him and delivered an uppercut to the throat, than placed Batista in the corner. There he choked him with his foot and then hit a clothesline. Kane then lifted Batista and drilled him with a running powerslam for a near fall. Then he lifted Batista again and connected with a sidewalk slam. Kane went for a leg drop, but Batista rolled out of the way. That allowed Batsita to take some control. He hit two running clotheslines and even his Spear, but Kane kicked out of the pin attempt. Batista placed him in the corner and rammed his shoulder into Kane’s stomach a few times. He then went to lift Kane for the Spinebuster, but Kane elbowed out of it and hit another big boot. Kane climbed to the top and hit the diving clothesline. He covered for a two count. Kane did the throat cut signal and it was going to be the end for Batista. He lifted him up and connected with the Chokeslam from Hell. Kane covered but Batista kicked out. Kane was pissed at this and set up Batista for the Tombstone. Batista revered it and had Kane in Tombstone position. Kane reversed it to get back into Tombstone position but they fell back far enough that they ran into the corner and both men fell. Batista got up first and once Kane came to him, he planted him with a Spinebuster. Batista began to shake the ropes and he grabbed Kane for the Batista Bomb. Paul Bearer rolled the urn into the ring, under Batista and Kane grabbed it. He got on the apron and distracted the referee. Batista lifted Kane for the Batista Bomb, but Kane nailed him with the urn. He tossed it out of the ring and covered for the three. Winner: Kane (13:09) **¾Kane and Paul Bearer left up the ramp, to the crowd’s dislike. Batista began to stir in the ring and stared up at the ramp with hate in his eyes. We could tell from that stare that this is far from over.
We’re again shown the General Manager’s office. Vickie Guerrero is smiling because she always enjoys seeing back things happen to Batista. Stephanie McMahon is telling Eric Bischoff that blatant cheating to end a match is not something she likes to see from her Smackdown guys and that Eric shouldn’t stand for it. Before he can retort, Sean Morley gets in her face and demands to know why she questions him. Stephanie flips out on him and reminds him that her last name is McMahon and just because he’s sucking up to Bischoff doesn’t mean she can’t fire him on the spot. Morley sits down calmly as Bischoff, standing behind him, smirks.Casket Match: The Undertaker vs. Shelton BenjaminThe druids came to the ring first, carrying the casket which always excites the audience. Shelton Benjamin’s theme played as he made his way to the ring to a lot of boos. The Undertaker followed to his usual amazing crowd response. Much like Edge did at SummerSlam 2008; Benjamin stood in the ring and did not look at all scared of the Undertaker. Benjamin just stared him down. Once the bell rang, Shelton tried a different approach than most people as he charged at ‘Taker. ‘Taker dropped his shoulder down and back body dropped Shelton over the top and onto the casket. Shelton was in obvious pain and ‘Taker pulled off an amazing feat at this point. He connected with his dive to the outside but nearly cleared the casket with it, as only the bottom of his legs hit it. Both men were down, with ‘Taker holding his legs. He got up first and tossed Shelton around outside for a bit before putting him back in the ring. He opened the casket and dragged Shelton to it. Shelton quickly countered though and tripped up ‘Taker, sending him into the casket. He went to close it, but ‘Taker quickly got up and connected with a few right hands, sending Shelton back. As ‘Taker got back in the ring, Shelton met him with a dragon whip kick that sent him into the corner. Shelton ran in and delivered a stinger splash. He tried to roll ‘Taker into the casket, but he grabbed the ropes and stopped the momentum, and elbowed Benjamin off of him. He turned and caught Benjamin with a big boot. Now it was ‘Taker’s turn to put him in the casket but once he was in, Shelton quickly jumped out and crawled away in fear. He got back to the apron and ‘Taker went after him, only to be hit with a shoulder to the stomach. Shelton then springboarded off the ropes and went for the blockbuster, but ‘Taker moved and Shelton crashed hard. ‘Taker then connected with the Old School and signaled that the end is near. ‘Taker went for the Last Ride, which he beat Shelton with at Unforgiven, but as he hoisted him up, Shelton wriggled free. He managed to get released from ‘Taker’s grasp and turn it into an impressive Paydirt. Both men were down at this point. Shelton rolled to the outside and grabbed his briefcase. He got back in the ring with it and ‘Taker sat up. He got up and ducked Shelton’s shot from the briefcase and grabbed his throat. He held him by the throat and pushed him to the ropes where the casket was. ‘Taker pushed down on Shelton as he leaned on the ropes and he was very close to going over and in, but Benjamin reached up and nailed him with the briefcase in the skull. Shelton then dropped down and, with ‘Taker already leaning forward, sent him into the casket. Shelton quickly closed it for the win. Winner: Shelton Benjamin (17:27) ****Shelton left up the ramp celebrating his victory as the crowd booed. They also seemed surprised that he managed to leave No Mercy with a victory.
Next, we go to a video package showing the short, but interesting history between World Champion CM Punk and challenger, Edge.World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. EdgeSmackdown had three matches on tonight’s card and all three were potential show stealers. Edge made his to the ring first to his usual mixed reaction from the crowd. CM Punk followed to one of the biggest pops of the night, possibly behind only The Undertaker. They locked up once the bell rang and Edge shoved Punk down, overpowering him. They locked up again and Punk shoved him down this time. They went for it a third time and Punk locked him in a headlock. Edge tossed him off the ropes and knocked him down with a shoulder block. They continued to go back and forth like this for a short while, until Edge showed that he was in control. He hit a big boot, electric chair drop, Russian leg sweep and a reverse DDT. He tried two pin attempts but Punk kicked out of both. About ten minutes in, Edge was geared up for the Spear. As he went for it though, Punk dodged it and Edge went shoulder first into the turnbuckle. Punk rolled him up but got a near fall. It was now Punk’s time to shine as he hit a tilt-a-whirl back breaker, springboard lariat and his knee strike/bulldog combo. He sent Edge off the ropes, but Edge dropped down and exited the ring. Punk would not allow him the time to catch his breath though as he hit him with a suicide dive. They made it back into the ring but Edge tripped him up and locked in the Edgecator submission. Punk, with the crowd firmly behind him, fought his way towards the ropes. He inched closer with every reach until he finally grasped it and Edge had to break the hold. Punk was slow to get up though and Edge met him with a Spear. He covered but Punk just barely got the shoulder up before three. Edge began to pull his hair out in frustration and he set up for the Edgecution, but Punk reversed it into a Northern lights suplex. Punk quickly moved to Edge’s downed body and hooked in the Anaconda Vise. Edge struggled mightily but just couldn’t seem to reach the ropes. Out came Vickie Guerrero’s henchman, Chris Masters. He got on the apron and Punk released the hold. He leveled Masters with a right hand and turned back right into Edge. Edge kicked him in the stomach and went for the Edgecution again but Punk blocked it and hoisted him onto his shoulders. He dropped him down with the Go 2 Sleep to retain the belt. Winner and Still World Heavyweight Champion: CM Punk (18:57) ****CM Punk was handed his World Title and celebrated in the ring with it. Edge and Chris Masters left up the ramp, upset with themselves. The cameras went to the Raw announce team, who introduced us to a video package for the upcoming Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship.WWE Championship: MVP (c) vs. John Cena vs. Triple HJohn Cena came to the ring first to his usual chorus of cheers. The Game was next and got the most heat of anybody on the show tonight. The WWE Champion, MVP, was last and he got a major pop from the crowd. He was all business and went straight after HHH. The two of them brawled in the middle of the ring, while Cena stood back and watched. After a few minutes, Cena decided to join in and the war was on. It spilled to the outside, where HHH choked MVP with cable wires, Cena smashed HHH’s head onto the announce table and MVP hit a big boot sending Cena into the crowd. HHH and MVP got back in the ring, where HHH connected with his signature jumping knee strike. He then locked in a sleeper hold and MVP began to fade fast. The referee checked his arm to see if it drops three times, but before the third time, he kept it up. He fought out of it and sent HHH into the ropes and hit a snap overhead belly to belly suplex on his way back. MVP was fired up after this and then hit his “Ballin” elbow drop. He covered but it was broken up by John Cena. Now, MVP and Cena went at it like it was SummerSlam all over again. Cena hit him with a belly to belly suplex, a hip toss, and a fisherman suplex. MVP hit him with a knee smash and dragon screw. HHH intervened and it was the three men battling again. Cena would connect with the Five Knuckle Shuffle onto Triple H and then lock on the STFU. MVP broke it up though and then hit Cena with Playmaker. He covered, but HHH broke up the count. He began to trade fists with the Champion until he hooked him for the Pedigree. MVP back body dropped him over, but was met with an FU right after. Cena covered and we were set for a new Champion, but MVP just managed to get his foot on the bottom rope. As Cena got up, HHH clotheslined him to the outside. He then hooked MVP for the Pedigree again, but MVP pushed him back right into the turnbuckle. He stepped back and ran in with a huge big boot. As HHH fell to the ground, MVP connected with the Drive By for the win. Winner and Still WWE Champion: MVP (15:30) ***½MVP was handed the WWE Championship and he celebrated with it as John Cena looked on from outside the ring. He was frustrated but left up the ramp without another word spoken. HHH was knocked out in the middle of the ring and MVP was very pleased to have gotten some revenge on Triple H for attacking Eve Torres last week.© WWE 2009

Good opener, Kaval winning works I suppose. Match seemed more like a European Title match than the IC Title. But I'll wait to judge and see how Kaval's reign ends up. Figured Black had no shot of winning, he doesn't seem ready for the belt yet. I like the idea of Thorn as champion still. Mickie winning was the right call as Katie Lea isn't nearly a top diva in my opinion. Big change to go from this stuff to Jericho/Hardy; clearly the undercard seemed sectioned off from the top of the card. Good match, nice win for Hardy. Wonder where they'll go from here. Liked the finish to Batista/Kane as it doesn't really hurt anyone. Shelton beating Taker really helps Shelton, although it doesn't do favors for Taker. Maybe Shelton will cash in the MITB by the end of the night? Probably not though, but I'm suprised you've held off all this time. Punk/Edge was solid. Big win there for MVP over two top dogs. Solid PPV, like I said before, clearly a difference between the undercard and upper part of the card. Looking forward to the aftermath.

WWE No Mercy, so glad Kaval picked up the victory here, didn't liek Braddock as the Champion, tbh. Kaval definitely has the skills to go all the way, so this is a very good move. I see MVP retaining the title tonight. Pleased to see Kevin Thorn retain the title, I'm glad to see him have a credible reign. I was shocked to see Mickie James, would have liked to see Katie Lea retain. Very surprised to see Hardy over Jericho, but it's a good victory. A title shot coming Hardy's way? I love that Kane defeated Batista. I hope you continue to push Kane. Wow, shocked to see Shelton Benjamin defeat the Undertaker, but it is great for his career. I wonder if Benjamin will cash in... Would have preferred Edge to win this one and have another title reign. As predicted, MVP retains the title. I see Shelton Benjamin didn't cash in, I'm still anticipating the moment he does, should be great. No Mercy was a good show, great job.

WWE No Mercy: Sunday 4th October 2009...I think that you could have picked a bigger match to kick off the show in my opinion, really. Nonetheless, would have been a solid triple threat match to kick off the show, the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line, but it is extremely too soon for Kaval to win the title, in my opinion. I actually wouldn't have minded Ryan Braddock having a longer title reign, to be honest. Evan Bourne should feud with Kaval onwards though, in my mind. Kaval should turn heel first, however. Good decision to have Kevin Thorn retain the ECW Championship, as it is too soon for Tyler Black to win the title, in my mind. I understand you are pushing the newer and younger talent that the WWE has, but it is too soon for Black, and will be in my mind for another year. Mickie James winning back the WWE Womens Championship from Katie Lea Burchill is fine, not too bad of a match I suppose, I just hope that Mickie doesn't hold onto that belt for too long. She's had some good reigns, but her time is over. Amazing match between Chris Jericho and Jeff Hardy, which could have been the great way to open up the show, but nevermind. Jeff Hardy winning is fine, was a great match but I hope that the feud resumes, personally. Kane beating Batista is fine, wasn't the greatest match, which is pretty strange. These two seemingly have had better matches, I guess. Awesome win for Shelton Benjamin over The Undertaker, but I await 'Taker's annual revival to destroy Benjamin as usual. Hopefully you don't go for that, however. Gets Shelton over huge, though. I still cannot see him as a future WWE Champion or World Heavyweight Championship as much as I'd love to. Chris Masters getting involved in the World Heavyweight Championship bout didn't surprise me alot, good defense by CM Punk once again, overcoming Edge. Punk's reign is pretty amazing, though. He needs a heel turn eventually, though in my mind. Montel Vontavious Porter beating John Cena and Triple H is fine, great WWE Championship defense to close down the show, and it was a decent show overall.
