Love the opening segment as it was pretty crazy. Happy Batista went over as he is more main event material. I like Ted/Legacy getting air time. I wonder what you will do with Kaval. Good win for The Cabinet. Very happy JBL will continue. I like the ending to the divas match, realistic. I was really pulling for Ted and it was a great match. Obviously, Cena winning makes sense.

Nice opening segment with Cena saving MVP from the Cabinet. Quick Six Pack Challenge Match with Tista over Henry, surprised it was in 5 mins, but i guess the match was going at such a slow and sluggish pace, that the match must have seemed more like 15. Glad Batista got the win there. Nice Tag Match, glad Shad and Paul got the win. Nice to see JBL qualify, nice match with him and R-Truth. Womens Non-title was good. John Cena beating Dibiase Jr was good, i like that match up, may use it as a feud in my diary in the future wayyyyy down the road. Nice end with the 4 qualifiers brawling. should be a good Night of Champions. Looking forward to it.

Great opening segment. Nice to see you give MVP the opening segment, but he won KOTR so it made sense. Kaval will be a great edition to the roster. I, however, feel he'd be a better fit to ECW. Although I can see him feuding with Ted DiBiase for the Intercontinental Championship. Heel Cryme Tyme FTW! Nice to see them pick up a win. I know that WWE used Layla London before, but I hate that name. Cena was expected to win.

ECW 6/9/09 Preview-Two nights ago at the King of the Ring, ECW Champion Elijah Burke defeated Mr. Kennedy for the second straight time. Kennedy was obviously upset with himself after the loss. Kennedy wants to meet with Burke face to face tonight before their main event tag team match. That tag team match just happens to feature the ECW Champion teaming with the Television Champion for the first time ever as Burke & Jack Swagger team to face Mr. Kennedy and Gavin Spears! -Speaking of Jack Swagger, he made it all the way to the semi-finals of the King of the Ring tournament before falling to the eventual King, MVP. Last week Gavin Spears asked Teddy Long if he could get his Television Title shot at Night of Champions. Long said he'd have an answer by tonight. What will he decide? -Lastly, Kevin Thorn didn't seem to happy with Tyler Black taking the loss in the Extreme Rules Six man tag last week. Tonight, Black gets a chance to prove his worth when he goes one on one with Finlay. Can he make it up to his leader? Or will Black stay in the doghouse with Thorn? Find out all that and more on ECW on Sci-Fi at 9:00PM!

Decent opening promo to kick off WWE RAW this week, with the coronation of the King of the Ring tournament. Montel Vontavious Porter and John Bradshaw Layfield would be a good feud. John Cena also getting involved is good. Pretty clustered, but nice. Predict those three in the Night of Champions six-pack challenge for the WWE Championship. Batista beating Mark Henry is okay, bad way to kick off. Batista in the six-pack challenge is nice, but god this match is getting beefed out. Fair yet weak tag team match to follow, with The Cabinet beating The Technicians. This RAW doesn't seem too good. Predictable qualifying match, as John Bradshaw Layfield advanced into the six-pack challenge. I hope you do something with R-Truth. Victoria beating Katie-Lea Burchill is okay. Solid main event with John Cena beating Ted Dibiase. A really lackluster RAW this week.

ECW opens with a video package showing ECW Champion Elijah Burke beat Mr. Kennedy for the second Pay-Per-View in a row just two nights ago at King of the Ring. It then shows Kennedy’s major frustration at the loss.
Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to tonight’s edition of ECW and promote tonight’s main event where the ECW Champion Elijah Burke will team with the Television Champion Jack Swagger to take on Mr. Kennedy and Gavin Spears.
The announcers are cut off by the theme music of Mr. Kennedy. He comes to the ring looking very disappointed in himself and not like the brash superstar we all know. He gets on the microphone and begins to talk about how close he has come to winning the big one on several occasions. It started way back at the 2007 Royal Rumble when he lost a World Title match against Batista, then it continued when he lost his Money in the Bank briefcase in ’07 as well. It happened again the last two months. Kennedy calls out Elijah Burke, who answers and steps in the ring with him. Kennedy congratulates him on winning last night and tells him that he was the better man. Burke thanks him for his honesty but knows that is not the only reason he was called out here. Kennedy says that Burke is right and he challenges Burke for one last ECW Title match at Night of Champions. Burke asks why he would do that when he beat him twice already. Kennedy said to make it a Last Chance match. If Kennedy loses then he can’t go after the ECW Title as long as Burke is still Champ. Burke thinks about it and says that if Kennedy & Spears can win tonight, he’ll accept the challenge. Kennedy agrees and offers his hand to Burke. Burke instead lays him out with the ECW Title and stands tall over him.
Commercial Break.
In the back we see Gavin Spears warming up for his main event match next week. Tiffany walks up to him and tells him that Teddy Long has agreed to his request last week and at Night of Champions, Jack Swagger will defend his Television Championship against Gavin Spears. Spears likes this news and tells Tiffany that he would like her to accompany him to the ring that night. She agrees before leaving.
Singles Match Finlay w/ Hornswoggle vs. Tyler Black w/ The Brood
This was the best outing Finlay has had in the past few weeks. Black used his quickness as an advantage though and he constantly had Finlay on the ropes. Near the end though, Finlay had him up for the Celtic Cross but Hade Vansen attempted to get involved. Hornswoggle ran in and bit him on the leg. That allowed Black to wriggle out of the Celtic Cross and hit a super kick. He followed that up with God’s Last Gift to seal the win.
Winner: Tyler Black (8:00) ***
After the match, Finlay took a beating. Kevin Thorn, Vansen, Black & Gangrel all jumped the Irishman and even his son Hornswoggle got some of it. Just then, a big guy with fiery red hair and pale skin jumped the guardrail and attacked The Brood. He cleaned house and nailed Gangrel with a choke bomb. He helps Finlay & Hornswoggle as we go to commercial.
Commercial Break.
We return to see Finlay with his son and the tall red haired man. He introduces himself as Sheamus O’Shaunessy and as the nephew of Finlay, making him the cousin of little Hornswoggle. He says that he’s here to help his uncle out and that their original plan was some Tag Title gold, but now he wants his hands on the Brood first.
Singles Match Ezekiel Jackson vs. Tommy Dreamer
While this wasn’t a squash like Jackson’s previous matches on ECW, he still was his dominant self. It looked like a pure squash early on, but Dreamer made a small come back and went for the DDT. Ezekiel blocked it though and hit him with a spine buster. He picked him up and nailed the back breaker rack to end it.
Winner: Ezekiel Jackson (5:41) **
We cut to the back where we see Rey Mysterio standing by with Josh Matthews. Mysterio says that he requested this interview time because he saw Mark Henry get a shot at the Six Pack Challenge match at Night of Champions. So he has thrown his name into the hat and next week on Raw he will go one on one with Triple H and the winner will get a shot at the WWE Championship.
Commercial Break.
The show returns to see DJ Gabriel talking with Alicia Fox. Dolph Ziggler comes up and introduces himself to them. He then tells Alicia to watch his match their match on Velocity this week and she’ll see what a real man looks like. DJ Gabriel takes offense to that but Ziggler walks off before anything can happen.
Tag Team Match ECW Champion Elijah Burke & Television Champion Jack Swagger vs. Gavin Spears & Mr. Kennedy
This turned out to be a rather good main event. Management wondered if Spears could hang with the top guys on the brand, and he did. Spears was possibly the bright spot in the match. He even managed to hit the ECW Champion with his Death Valley Driver, but Swagger broke up the pin. After that, Burke and Swagger worked him over and prevented him from tagging Mr. Kennedy. Eventually though, after an enziguri to the head of Swagger, Spears made the tag. Kennedy came in and lit up Swagger. Burke wanted no part of this though, and eventually Kennedy put away Swagger with a Mic Check.
Winners: Mr. Kennedy & Gavin Spears (10:10) **¾
Post match, Elijah Burke clutched his ECW Title as he walked up the ramp and Kennedy pointed at him and motioned for the title.

I wonder if Kennedy will actually be able to win the ECW Championship at Night of Champions. I can see him winning it from Burke. I liked Burke hitting him with the belt. Nice to see Tyler Black get a win, although 8:00 seemed a bit long, imo. Time doesn't matter, though. I wasn't expecting Dreamer to get a win. Ezekiel FTW. Kennedy getting the pin was the correct way to go.

Like the opening segment, guessing Kennedy will finally win it at NOC. Swagger/Spears is fine although I've never seen Spears. Wonder what's up with this Sheamus guy. Nice win for Zeke, glad he has been getting a push. Hope something happens with that Dolph/Gabriel/Alicia stuff. Figured Kennedy would win, him not pinning Burke is also a good thing.

Decent opening promo to kick off ECW on Sci-Fi this week, with Mr Kennedy once again getting in the way of ECW Champion, Elijah Burke's way. Another match at Night of Champions between Kennedy and Burke? They've wrestled on numerous events, really starting to bore me now, if I'm speaking honestly. Tyler Black beating Finlay is good, seemed like a solid match, and gets The Brood over. Don't like Tommy Dreamer being fed to Ezekiel Jackson. Jackson is a bad performer in my eyes. Decent tag team main event to close the show. Gavin Spears getting a shot at Jack Swagger's ECW Television Championship is a good opportunity. Average show.

Smackdown 6/12/09 Preview
-This past Sunday at the King of the Ring, Randy Orton defied the odds and retained the World Heavyweight Title in a Triple Threat match against The Undertaker and Chris Jericho. Orton has announced that he will kick off the show and prove to the world that he has nothing left to prove and nobody left to defeat. Can anyone stop this Age of Orton? Or is he really a One Man Dynasty?
-Also at the King of the Ring, Edge defeated Shane McMahon in a brutal I Quit match. Despite Shane quitting, Edge continued his assault on the Co-General Manager of Smackdown. Where does the Rated R Superstar go from here? Does he chase the World Title? Does he continue to rampage through the roster? Only he & his wife, Vickie Guerrero know the answer to that.
-Smackdown was involved in the finals of the King of the Ring Tournament, as CM Punk represented the brand well but fell in defeat to Raw's Montel Vontavious Porter. Despite losing, CM Punk and the man he beat in the Semi-Finals, Shelton Benjamin, will both look towards the World Heavyweight Championship. Also in this World Title hunt are the two men in our main event, Jeff Hardy and Umaga. These two have a long storied rivalry, what will happen in this chapter?
Find out all this and a whole lot more by watching Friday Night Smackdown tonight at 8:00PM on MyNetwork TV!

This week’s Smackdown opens with a video package that showed Randy Orton retain the World Heavyweight Championship by beating The Undertaker and Chris Jericho at King of the Ring. It also showed Edge beat Shane McMahon in a brutal I Quit match that left the Co-General Manager of Smackdown in the hospital.
Before our announce team can even welcome us to the show, “Voices” plays and Randy Orton makes his way to the ring with the World Title draped over his shoulder. He gets in the ring and talks about how he kept his title this past Sunday. He said since he won his Championship, he’s kept it against the likes of Jeff Hardy, John Cena, The Undertaker and Chris Jericho. He said that there’s no reason to even have him defend it anymore, and that they should just retire the belt and allow him to go down as the greatest World Champion in history. “Coming Home” blasts as Edge comes down with Vickie Guerrero to interrupt Orton. Edge talks about how he not only had the most brutal match at King of the Ring, but he took out a General Manager, and not just a GM, but a McMahon. Vickie then says that the World Championship will not be retired for Orton, because at Night of Champions, he will go one on one with Edge! The crowd boos that until “I’m All Grown Up” is heard and Co-General Manager of Raw, Stephanie McMahon comes to the ramp. She first announces that she and her father have relinquished GM duties over on Raw. She says that her dad needed time away and she had another job to take. She’s going to be taking her brother’s job and become Co-General Manager of Smackdown! She tells Edge that she hates him for what he did to Shane and that he is not, in fact, the number one contender to Orton’s World Title. She announces the return of the Gold Rush Tournament! Tonight, we will witness the first round, next week the second and the week after will then be the finals. The winner will face Randy Orton at Night of Champions! Edge and Vickie are pissed off at this, as is Orton.
Commercial Break.
When we return, we see Vickie and Stephanie arguing in the back. Stephanie says that she is a fair woman, so Edge will have a spot in the tournament tonight, which Vickie likes. Steph then says that tonight’s planned main event of Jeff Hardy and Umaga will now be a tournament match.
Gold Rush Tournament First Round CM Punk vs. John Morrison
Morrison was out first, and like the original Gold Rush tournament, his opponent wasn’t announced. Once Punk’s music hit, the crowd went nuts. As usual, these two put on a superb match that stole the show. They each hit their signature spots, with Morrison hitting the Starship Pain, super kick and springboard kick. Punk nailed a springboard clothesline, running bulldog and then a monkey flip that Morrison sold fantastically. After some more back and forth action, Morrison ran into the corner, but Punk followed him in and nailed a perfect knee to the face. Then he picked him up and dropped him with the GTS to advance.
Winner: CM Punk (11:21) ****
Commercial Break.
In the back, Josh Matthews is standing by with Shelton Benjamin. Shelton said that Stephanie McMahon chose the perfect name for this tournament. He said that the one thing people remember from the first Gold Rush tournament was his match with Shawn Michaels. He then said that he truly is the Gold Standard and it’s only fitting that the Gold Standard win the Gold Rush tournament, which he plans on doing.
Triple Threat Divas Match Gail Kim vs. Maria vs. Maryse
Kim really had to carry this match as she was obviously the best wrestler of the three. That being said, both Maryse and Maria have shown great improvement. Maria even busted out a monkey flip and a cross body off the top. Maryse pulled out a neck breaker and an impressive back breaker. Gail Kim dropped Maria with a dropkick and Maryse delivered the French TKO to her head. She went to cover Maria, but Maria wrapped her in a small package to get the surprise victory.
Winner: Maria (5:02) **
Maria celebrated her upset win, but the moment was spoiled as she was attacked from behind by the current Divas Champion, Natalya Neidhart. Natalya hit her with a power bomb, and then locked her in the Sharpshooter. She posed with her Championship as we cut to commercial.
Commercial Break.
We return to see The Brian Kendrick with Lawrence Knight. Kendrick says that he heard that Kofi Kingston wants a shot at the United States Title. Well, being the fighting Champion that he is, Kendrick will grant him a shot on one condition. He has to beat Lawrence Knight next week right here on Smackdown.
Gold Rush Tournament Firs t Round Matt Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin
Shelton was the first man out and was pretty shocked to hear the theme music of ECW’s Matt Hardy. Seems like Shelton wasn’t prepared for him at all, because Matt dominated the early portions of the match. He worked on Shelton’s neck by hitting a neck breaker and a Side Effect, but Shelton kicked out. Shelton took control after raking Matt in the eyes. After that, it was all Shelton and after a Shell Bomb, followed by some Paydirt, Shelton advanced in the Gold Rush Tournament.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin (7:20) ***
Commercial Break.
The show returns and we hear the theme music of Chris Jericho, who makes his way to the ring slowly. He gets on the microphone and begins to speak about failing to win the World Heavyweight Title. He said that it’s his ultimate goal, but, with him and The Undertaker both losing their shot and therefore not being part of the Gold Rush Tournament, he has to focus on something else. That something else is The Undertaker himself. Jericho states that despite both men being in the WWE for a long time, they’ve never met one on one in the ring. Jericho says that his new goal is to wipe the Deadman off the face of the WWE. Jericho mentions that this August, he will be a decade removed from his WWE debut and he promises to show The Undertaker what a true decade of destruction is.
The cameras show Edge in the back, getting warmed up. His Gold Rush Tournament match is up next!
Commercial Break.
Gold Rush Tournament First Round Edge vs. Kofi Kingston
Edge was pretty surprised to see that Kofi would be his opponent and the crowd enjoyed this first time ever match. This brought a lot of thrills as Kofi matched up with everything Edge had. Edge hit a suplex, but Kofi popped up and hit a dropkick. Edge would throw him in the corner, but Kofi bounced out a hit a hurricanrana. The crowd popped every time Kofi got a near fall as well, and he had a fair few. In the end, Edge had Kofi geared up for the Spear. He ran, but Kofi jumped clean over him and hit Trouble in Paradise once he landed. He covered and nearly got the three but Edge got a foot on the rope. Kofi picked him up, but Edge kicked him in the gut and nailed the Edgecution to end it.
Winner: Edge (8:12) ***½
Commercial Break.
The announcers run down the card for this month’s Night of Champions Pay-Per-View to the tune of “Seasons” by The Veer Union. They promote the two ECW matches and Divas Title match that was added earlier tonight. The main focus though was the Six Pack Challenge for the WWE Championship.
Non-Title Tag Team Match The New Hart Foundation (c) w/ Natalya Neidhart vs. The Second City Saints
If the Saints pulled out a win in this match, they would instantly vault themselves not only into contention, but into a title shot at Night of Champions. Smith and Wilson again utilized great tag team wrestling to cut the ring in half and stop Goldman from making the tag. Eventually though, he managed to make the tag and Ace Steel came in going crazy. He picked up the win for his team a short while later by planting Wilson with the Steel Spike.
Winners: The Second City Saints (6:21) **¾
The Bella Twins are shown watching on a monitor and cheering as the Saints picked up the victory.
Commercial Break.
Gold Rush Tournament First Round Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga
The Gold Rush Tournament goes four for four in delivering great matches. These two put on another stellar match. Umaga began the match with a flurry of offense. He hit a Samoan drop and a big super kick. Midway through the match though, Jeff started a comeback. He hit his sitout jaw breaker and then a big dropkick in the corner. Umaga sustained this rally by locking Jeff in a nerve hold. Jeff fought out of it and began his full throttle come back. He would hit a leg drop, Whisper in the Winds and lastly, the Twist of Fate. He covered, but the Samoan Bulldozer kicked out. Jeff then climbed to the top and missed the Swanton Bomb. Umaga picked up Jeff and went for the Samoan Spike, but Jeff ducked, got behind the big man and did a school boy for the victory out of nowhere.
Winner: Jeff Hardy (9:56) ***½
Jeff quickly got out of the ring and celebrated up the ramp with the fans, while Umaga was livid in the middle of the ring. The show ended with a shot of Jeff posing at the top of the ramp and motioning for the gold.

Like that you're doing the Gold Rush tourament, it makes for good TV. Punk/Morrison is always cool because of the history they had on ECW. This show automatically sucks because Maryse lost (just kidding). Glad Shelton won as I'm a fan of his. Good point there with Jericho mentioning that he is almost a decade in as well. Edge over Kofi was the obvious call here. SCS winning made sense due to it being a non-title match. Figured Hardy would win, like the somewhat fluke win. Nice show, glad the GR tourney is back.

Liked the opening segment. Some big announcements there. nice stuff. Cant wait for NOC. Glad to see Punk advance in the Gold Rush, the match against Morrison sounded good. Like the finish as well. Nice shelton promo, hope he wins his match tonight. That match against HBK years ago was amazing, loved the finish of that, one of my favorites. Nice triple threat divas match, surprised to see Maria win, but not bad. Love that Shelton beat Matt, awesome. Loved the Jericho promo and telling taker he'd show him the true decade of destruction, that was excellent, IMO. Edge over Kofi was expected, sounded like a good match though. Nice tag match, nice to see the second city saints go over. Expected Hardy to win, nice ending to the show with jeff posing and such. great show. NOC looks great. Looking forward to it.

I think I tell you this every time I reply to your diary, but I'm in awe that you still have this diary. Please don't ever let it die! You're right, Jord is making some sweet graphics for this diary, as he always does. NOC is shaping up well and I've been reading since our last chat (not today) on AIM. Your write-ups are good as usual and I expect nothing less than spectacular from this diary man. I hope that Punk makes his way through the Gold Rush tournament and goes on to defeat Orton. I'll be reading man, keep up the excellent work!

6/13/09 Edition-Victoria winning the Women's Title was done as sort of a courtesy run. She is planning on retiring before the year is up. Expect her to drop the title at Night of Champions. -The WWE is currently unsure if they're going to keep the WWE Title on Kane after Night of Champions. Regardless of what happens that night, he will stay in the main event picture and he won't fade into the mid-card again. -WWE is said to be very happy with the heat Shelton Benjamin has been drawing. He will be getting into his first big time feud come this July and it will last through SummerSlam. Rumors speculate that it will be a fresh feud that hasn't been done yet. -Despite her shortcomings as a wrestler, Maria was given the Divas Title shot at Night of Champions because she's been complaining about her lack of a push lately. So this match is expected to make Natalya look dominant, so she's basically being fed to the wolves for complaining.

Really looking forward to Night of the Champions, especially the Jack Swagger vs Gavin Spears match, here's hoping Gavin wins the title. I'd also like to see JBL win the WWE title but I don't expect it to happen. Looking forward to see what IC/US title matches get made for NOC.

Yeah, I've got to agree with Duaner that it's great this is still going strong, especially since it's your first diary. Amazing Night of Champion graphic, what God made that? SmackDown was stacked from top to bottom, bro. The worst thing about the entire show? Maria pinning Maryse. HOW ING DARE YOU! Night of Champions is shaping up to be a great show, and I can see CM Punk winning the Gold Rush.

Awesome, the arial font makes the show layout look so much better. Pretty more professional too, in my opinion. Solid opening promo to kick off this edition of SmackDown, as Randy Orton cut one of his many promos, hehe. He rules whatever brand he's on, as of late. The return of the Gold Rush tournament is fine, but unsure about it, as we've just had a tournament, by the likes of the King of the Ring version. Wish you'd of saved CM Punk against John Morrison for another time, to be honest, but amazing opening contest to the Gold Rush tournament. Punk getting the win is fine. I want to see Morrison up the card by the time this diary reaches its first game year completion. Nothing too big for a divas match, but realistic to have Maria beat Maryse and Gail Kim, I suppose. Solid match between Shelton Benjamin and Matt Hardy, but nothing too good. Benjamin into the next round is nice. Decent promo by Chris Jericho, advancing his feud with The Undertaker. Edge beating Kofi Kingston is pretty predictable, wouldn't suprise me if he won this entire Gold Rush tournament, actually. Decent yet filling tag team match, got the Second City Saints over. Solid main event, Jeff Hardy advancing into the next round is nice. Good show overall.
