I really like that Forrest Griffin. The head especially. It has that "DERRRR" look of his. The painting is so smooth and my favorite part about the painting is the skintone..it is really good. The logos on the shorts could be straightened up a bit but thats no biggy considering how well they were done considering the amount that he has on his shorts. I really need some snuka feet... =/ I'm sorry tired of having to cut down the feet and shave off the boots of another figure with my swiss army knife..hah. The 5 o'clock shadow is very well done. The hair could use some highlights and some darker brown in the creases just to make the detail pop but whatever. It is so well done. Good job.
Originally when you PM'ed me the proto pics of this one I didn't think the head worked that well until I saw your avatar and saw the picture of him. It is almost a duplicate of that picture. The only thing being wrong would be the head looks a tad longer but not your fault. I like the wrist-tape and how you added some gray to make it look more realistic. The logo on the back of the trunks looks very well painted. Does he not have more complex shorts? Because I want to make him but he looks so damn generic that it is kind of making me change my mind.

Those are some sick customs dude! i love forrest, the tights are a bit sloppy, but otherwise excellent...i also love the head

Some more awsome work as always.
Great head choices on both.
The griffin looks awsome and very accurate.
But i really like the Fedor the head is great body is awsome, overall this is some great work

Sandy, In the last couple years, Fedor has had two main shorts. The one I did and the adrenaline shorts. I've found several others from earlier in his career that are much more simple. If you do him from pride he looks a bit more complex as the gloves are blue with i think red or pink wrist tape and what not. I originally was going to do the adrenaline shorts that IrishRebel did, but I decided to do his other logo shorts instead. I did him from this match  There's the adrenaline shorts  |

They both looke really good. The torso mods and chest hair on both are very realistic. The head on Griffin has a good likeness, especially with the quality hair sculpt you did. I definitely see the facial likeness on Fedor. The actual shape of them head is a little off, but as Sandy said, that is not your fault. The foot sculpt on Griffin looks great as well. You are really getting good at that. Some of the logos could be cleaned up a bit, but I can't really fault you for that knowing how much of a bitch they are to do. Fedor's logo could be a litle lighter grey, but that is very minor and does not take away from the overall look. Overall I give it a 37/42. Ha, sorry I hate the number rating system. It's very arbitrary, but I won't go into that. They look awesome. Keep up the good work.

Both look really good. I like seeing figures that aren't always wrestling affiliated, but made from wrestling figures. I think you had great choices for the heads and parts and both have been altered nicely. I like how you've sculpted on their abs so it's not as ripped as some of the jakks stomachs. All around really great customs. Only thing I see is the little sculpy spots that the camera brought out in Forrest's hair. It's easy to miss a little spot here and there when painting it, but at least the camera can bring those out. I'm really impressed with these figures..

yeah. I really love those Adrenaline shorts that Irish did. It kind of sucks that the most plain looking fighter in the world also wishes to have the most generic shorts in the world as well...
I might work on one though if I find a head that works.

fedor looks good gonzy , griffins head is eh body looks good.your painting looks better with theese ,maybe its the lighting.

PS: I order the apoxie sculpt to make DA figures out of some Rocky series action figures. I am making Drago, Mike Tyson, Duran, Rocky & I also making a DA Tank. I order the Jakks Tyson with the suit to make the Mike Tyson DA. I am making this figures to use them with the UFC Jakks figures. |
