Sam Kineval
DC RP: Quest for Competition
Sam Kineval is standing over the body of his last opponent. “ Meh, didn’t even put up a fight” speaks Kineval over the fallen challenger. Kineval walks over to the ropes and exits the ring wiping a speck of his opponents blood of him and adjusting his wrist tape. Kineval thought, “Is this it? Is this all it is?” After easily defeating his last opponent is this going to be all he does? Enter the ring, beat them up and win? Normal people would be happy that their opponent doesn’t even put up a fight but Kineval is no normal person. Kineval wants to step in the ring with someone better so he can go toe-to-toe with them and prove he is the better man because after all, where is beating jobbers going to take you?
Kineval was told who his next opponent is and his quick response was “Never heard of him.” The egotistical Kineval only focus’s on himself and his matches, he doesn’t care about anyone, he doesn’t even give a s*** for anyone. “So this Bennett dude, who is he?” Kineval looked like he cared for someone for once in his life. “Well he lost against…” Kineval stopped him there and started laughing. “That’s all I need to know” spoke Kineval. All signs of care fell upon hard ground and Kineval was back to his cocky self. Kineval thought once more he was facing another brainless jobber who thinks he has a shot against him.
Kineval didn’t worry he thought that his match at ‘How to Recognize…’ would be a walkover just like the last event but like I said Kineval wanted competition not mindless jobbers. He flicked on a tape of the last show and watched back Bennett’s last match did he realize, that this Bennett guy was pretty good actually very good. He wrestled back and forth and nearly wan the match! “Bingo!” said the smiling Kineval “I think I’ve found my competition.”
“What am I thinking” Kineval thought to himself as he looked around the dump of a locker room. “Competition? No-one is as good as me, especially no-namers in a development camp!” Kineval turned off the TV and sat on the hard wooden bench. “Once I get out of development then I’ll have my real competition” Kineval muttered to himself. In Kineval’s mind he was better than development, way better! He thought he could be taking on the world-class athletes at this stage not defeating generic jobbers.
Kineval looked at a picture on the table, a picture showing his father and his two brothers. He looked at his older brother who had made it so far in wrestling in such a short time from working around the British indy scene to moving to Japan to become a top gajin star as the masked Red Dragon. Secretly Kineval wanted to be like him, popular and a world famous athlete not stuck in a pile of s*** labelled ‘Development.’ But Kineval would never admit it.
Kineval left the table to walk back to the bench were he dreamed about the future. Would he be the next top star? Or just stuck in beating the life out of no-names? “I’ll make it” Kineval said “Starting with Bennett” Kineval’s eyes focused on the TV were his opponent stood. “Then I’m coming after you” Kineval looked round to the photo, staring directly at his brother Marc AKA Red Dragon.
