Dave Meltzer is reporting that there has been talk of possibly puting the WWE Title on Vladimir Kozlov.

WHY ? Kozlov just debuted this year. He does not deserve to be champion before a number of people including Jeff Hardy who is far more over. Plus he sucks in the ring aside from squashes.

I hate it when people say "he sucks" and then leave it at that as if it's everyones opinion. Koslov is a great talent to be honest, I said it a few weeks back but I can see him getting a title shot at Royal Rumble 2009, not in the rumble match itself, I mean facing Triple H or who ever the champion is at the time.

Neither were Deuce & Domino, Basham Bros., Carlito, and MNM when they came right in and won championships. WWE pushes there product too fast. No build up like the old days......

I agree on so many levels. Kozlov is over. Kozlov is talented. Hell, he's barely done anything, and he's extremely over. I'd love for him to get a shot at the belt. And like vettel said, 'anyone but a smug bastard face Triple H atm.'

I think the perfect example you're looking for is Brock Lesnar, who did nothing prior to WWE, and won the Championship 4 months in. And it worked out pretty well for him. While I certainly don't want to see him as WWE Champion (I didn't Brock, either), I have no problem with him getting a Championship title match. Neither were Deuce & Domino, Basham Bros., Carlito, and MNM when they came right in and won championships. WWE pushes there product too fast. No build up like the old days...... I'm fairly sure the Undertaker did nothing but squash matches before he beat Hulk Hogan for the WWF Championship. Kane did nothing but squash wrestlers and lose to the Undertaker before becoming WWF Champion. Christian won the LHW Championship on his debut. Along with Jerry Lynn. I see what you're saying though that they push product too fast, but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It helps wrestlers get over fast though.

Actually I'm not opposed to him winning the belt. Koslov has won me over the same way CM Punk did. The only difference is that CM Punk had the IWC jizzing at the fact that he was in WWE. So Punk winning me over is a little bigger because when the IWC is in love with you, I tend to not be interested in you. Well at least until you show me something But I can see Koslov holding it for a short time. I got no problem with that, and it would make it interesting to watch him in Main Event matches to see if he's the real deal.

When is the last time the US title or the Tag belts had any value?

That would be awesome to see him as champion, Im sure he will made better champion than currently HHH.
if he as champion, WWE should made him facing to most of SD! roster at every week for the title, so he can beat them more, which made him look more strongly.

Kozlov has just as much pure raw talent as Lesnar did. The only thing Lesnar had that Kozlov doesnt is a rock hard pure muscle body, and if thats what people are gonna base their "World Champion" on then the belts will stay around HHH, Batista, and Cena

I hated Lesnar, but I'll admit that the man could back it up in the ring. Kozlov has yet to show that to me. Maybe he has talent, but I really doubt it's anywhere near what Lesnar had.
