So this past monday, my five friends and I went down to New Orleans on a six hour trip to see Raw live. I was really excited about it because I've been to house shows, but never to a live event. The problem was that Raw was REALLY disappointing. In fact, if I hadn't of seen the fatal four way match, I would've felt that I wasted my money. The crowd felt like it was dead until Cena's face showed, and for some reason, everyone in the audience was in LOVE with Hacksaw Jim Duggan. I heard "HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" chants all the way until I made it back to the hotel.
Well needless to say, we left the show, and decided we should go to bourbon street. A few of my friends and I stayed for a few hours, drank a little, listened to some live music, and then left to go back to the hotel room.
Now this is the CRAZY part
Two of my friends stayed on bourbon street after we left. When we arrived back at the hotel room, my slightly drunk friend called me yelling that he had just met Tommy Dreamer and Matt Striker at a bar, and Tommy said we could have six FREE TICKETS to see the Smackdown/ECW tapings the following night in Baton Rouge.
Apparantly Tommy was just sitting there in the bar and no one recognized him. My friends were the first ones to notice him, and when they talked to him, he had them write their names down, and he would have six tickets for us at the box office
We left Tuesday for Baton Rouge, and waited for hours for the "willed tickets" list to get to the box office, and the whole time we were crazy nervous that Tommy didn't come through, but we finally got the tickets, and had seats right next to one of the cameras. The seats were great, the only way they could have been better is if we had front row floor seats.
We started a few chants. Tell me if you heard them, because I could hear them when I watched my recorded episode of ECW:
"Let's Go Wildcat" -during the "Brayden Walker" match
"Let's Go Bourne" -during the Evan Bourne match
and finally of course.....
"TOMMY DREAMER!!!" -during the main event
I couldn't believe that he just gave us free tickets to see it, it was amazing. I always liked Tommy Dreamer, but now I'm his #1 fan.
