- Friday Night Smackdown, featuring Edge calling off his pending wedding to G.M. Vickie Guerrero, scored just a 1.6 broadcast rating on July 4
It was a holiday, but still, holiday or not that is very low, I think that may be the lowest Smackdown rating ever.

July 4th always has low ratings.

Quite suprising really. With HHH drafted to SD! you would of thought that would attract more people to watch SD!

Not sure about S.D ratings, never though they mattered too much. Shame though, I have found both Raw and SD rather entertaining.

July 4 2002, it was a 2.0 rating. The week before and after was 3.3. So, the holiday could hurt.
September 8 and 15th 2006 did a 1.0.

I think that has a lot to do with the holiday weekend.
This Friday's SD will be much higher, without a doubt.

It was the holiday.. I mean.. Who the hell is going to be watching a wrestling tv show at 8pm on 4th of July? I'm sure alot of people were out lighting fireworks and having a party.

So it's ok if WWE gets that excuse but if it happens to TNA, it's no excuse at all? It's a bit hypocritical.
I guess we shall see what happens this coming week.

Since SmackDown! wasn't on Friday night, due to the Phillies game... it was on Saturday night at 8pm. So, I watched it then.
Kinda had my cake and ate it too, haha.

Isn't Smackdown like pre-empted in alot of areas though?
