Kofi Kingston, I love how WWE are finally taking a young fresh new talent, especially with his skill.
Wrestling ability. Mic Skills - Good in my opinion when he was commentating, does the gimmick very well. And the looks.
The whole package.
Hopefully WWE will continue there ways with the 2nd-3rd gen' faction and also, with DH Smith on SD! With the heart foundation thing.
I don't think I am going to get my hopes up yet though, WWE is known for wrecking a good thing.
With ECW being taped before RAW soon we may get to see Shelton Vs Kofi spark up again in an I.C feud, which in my opinion , would be awesome!

Shelton was moved to SD unfortunately.
They finally did something right with Kingston, lets hope the IC strap sees some light now it's on someone capable of carrying it in the mid-card of Raw.

I think Kofi was pushed too soon, personally. Sure, he is great in the ring, but we haven't seen any promos yet and he just jobbed cleanly to JBL the other week so, kayfabe wise, what did he to do deserve a shot at Jericho? It just doesn't make sense to me and I think it was a bit of a dissapointment.
I am all for WWE pushing Kofi, but I think he should have been pushed in a feud first, been allowed to cut some more promos and after a while of building himself up on RAW, then going for the IC title.

It's really awsome to see Kofi get a huge push, now with Carlito on SD! Kofi is my favorite wrestler on RAW and my second favorite overall. What I'm afraid of though is that the WWE will drop the ball with him.

I personally think Kofi will suffer the same fate that Benjamin did/has. He's already won the highest rank title he's going to get. He's no longer going to go up, just stay where he's at or be moved down. I love me some Kofi and all, but I still think he's done now. - Triple S

First of all, Kofi is FAR from great in the ring. He's very athletic and has the potential to be great, but he's still unbelievably green.
As far as him being pushed correctly, I think we're going to have to wait and see on that one. Things were going fine on ECW, but if the past 7 years of IC Title history mean anything, then he's destined to stand around doing almost nothing for the entire time he's the champion.

He's hot right now, but at what point does he become stale?
He can only do so much with being "Jamaican" and having an "unorthodox" style.
He has a gimmick that is poised to lose interest in about a years time.

TBH He's too inexperienced. I feel Shelton or somebody would have done better with an I.C title run (yes, I no Shelton's been I.C champ before) Kingston is good, okay but I'd of thought 6 more months and he would have been ready.

I don't call slapping the IC title on someone who's still a rookie, and nowhere near that level, pushing them correctly - by that logic, they were pushing Lashley correctly when they gifted him the US title after only a few months.. I love Jericho as a champion, but he's just too big a star to have that belt and be able to defend it now. The same went for Jeff Hardy. At least now Kofi (who is quickly becoming a favorite of mine) can use this belt to get him from mid-card status to higher-mid card/main event status much like how Randy Orton went from IC Champ to World Heavyweight Champion. I look forward to some good fueds between Kofi and some other up and comers on Raw.

If they didn't give Kofi the strap last night he would have been lost in the shuffle, Punk still has MITB, it's enough, Punk is over (ish) so he doesn't need assistance via the IC title, maybe in the coming months he can win it but it was a brilliant way last night to get a new guy who is still not completely over with the crowd and introduce him as a star on Raw, this way the IC title is (hopefully) going to see alot more light around his waist than it ever has on guys like Jericho & Jeff as he will need to have some feuds over it to get the crowd behind him and for wwe to make him one of their star guys with Cade & Burchill as possible opponents. If Punk won the belt, we wouldn't see the belt for weeks because he keeps smiling like a CLB, mumbling words at Edge & Tripper backstage and Kofi would hardly ever be on Raw missing vital air time towards his development as a potential star of the future. Punk can go and face someone else in a grudge feud (something he really needs to push him along more at this stage) or actually balls the up and cash in, something that i think is pointing towards Edge's wedding more and more. FTR "giving" Lashley the US title made sense at the time.

Not to HHH.. Punk's threatened cashing in backstage, on every champion, or potential champ - except HHH.. Also, IYAM Kingston should not even be on RAW in the first place - he should've remained, and got his 'development' in ECW, like Punk had to..
