Last year...
When Lashley was drafted from ECW to RAW, he was stripped of his ECW Championship title because of his transition of brands..
This year we have both Triple H and Kane switching brands, but they have not been stripped of their respective belts..
What gives?!?

Both of their title matches at Night of Champions are still intact, thus, they will remain champions until after next Sunday.
And, Lashley losing the title coincided with Vince's plan to get the belt off of him and screw Lashley any way he could (storyline-wise).

I have no idea why that would be. I guess WWE is making up rules as they go now. Either that or they have already forgotten about what you just pointed out....

So are you saying if they win their respective matches.. they'll be stripped of the title anyways? So whats the point of the matches?

No, if Kane wins, the ECW title will either stay with him on Raw or he will be sent back to ECW since he is the show's champion, technically. If Triple H wins, the WWE title goes with him to SD, regardless of the result in the Edge/Batista match.

The ECW title would not stay with Kane on Raw, especially after Lashley was stripped of his ECW title for coming to Raw. This makes no sense as the rules have changed from last year.

I don't even expect Kane to retain, as Show will most likely win the belt on Sunday and take it to ECW. But, it's too early to say, as any post-Draft switches might help straighten out all of this mess.

No.The WWE title is now SD! exclusive, and the ECW is now RAW exclusive. But at NOC,they'll most likely loose the titles.

Because, you know, when Lashley went to RAW he was stripped. But Kane isnt.

Because, you know, when Lashley went to RAW he was stripped. But Kane isnt. Lashley being stripped was for storyline purposes, not entirely due to the fact that he was going to RAW. Vince was hell bent to get the title off Lashley (story-line wise) so with him being drafted to RAW, he stripped him of the title... It's always been a rule that champs keep their titles during the drafts, Lashley is, in fact, the one exception

Well ECW is being filmed before Raw now so I can see Kane keeping the belt and still fighting on ECW and Raw

It isn't that hard to understand. Vince was in a feud with Lashley. Him getting drafted was McMahon's excuse to finally strip Lashley of that belt.

I'm really interested to see how this comes out.
MY predicitons are Batista wins from Edge just to bring the title to RAW and Cena ends up beating Batista and HHH retains from Cena thus, keeping the WWE Title on Smackdown and hopefully since Cena isn't even on that brand they can toss the spinner belt.

What will probably happen is Kane will lose the ECW title to Big Show putting the ECW belt back on SD/ECW. Either Edge or Triple H will lose their belt to either Batista or Cena putting a world title on Raw.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say Edge and Triple H both retain, and CM Punk cashes in Sunday and brings the World title over to Raw.

Actually, I see Edge keeping the title and Cena beating HHH.
That way HHH can get back his title.

Actually, I see Edge keeping the title and Cena beating HHH. That way HHH can get back his title. What he said. It could go the other way, with Edge losing and HHH retaining, but that would mean the "Cena" belt would be on the show Cena isn't on, which doesn't make much sense. Unless that belt is going away soon... hmm. So HHH loses, Edge retains, Hardy loses, Kane loses, and the women and tag champs do whatever. If something crazy doesn't happen, this is how all the belts stay where they are supposed to be. And as it has already been stated, Lashley was a storyline issue. Probably trying to get Lashley over as a main eventer on Raw. ...or something.
