Hey, Well, after seeing tonight's Raw, I'm sure everyone saw that Ric Flair has returned and I for one, don't give a damn. I was actually pissed off when I heard his music go off. I mean, the guy just retired and went into the WWE Hall of Fame no less than 2 months ago and he's back already. Can't he just friggin' go away and stay gone?? I would've liked to see him go away for like a year...a year and a half maybe and then make a surprise return. Then, I might actually give a damn. But right now, it's way too soon to have him come back already. I feel sorry for all the poor bastards that were conned into buying those stupid Ric Flair commemorative t-shirts they had made up for his retirement. Boy, did WWE sucker you all there.. The way they had the celebration for Flair on Raw was the perfect send-off. It was awesome. It was the perfect way for Flair to leave.. Now that he's returned already, it's like that night didn't even matter. It's stuff like that that just bugs me, that's all. They make a HUGE deal about Flair retiring and going into the Hall of Fame and giving him this huge celebration, and all for what? So, he can return a month later like all of that didn't even matter?? I am not a fan of Flair coming back so soon. He should've left for good.

I actually agree with you.
Flair returning so soon (and so unexpectedly) was pretty awkward and I didn't really know how to respond to it. Looking back on his farewell from WWE two months ago, his making an appearance tonight definitely makes that night seem worthless, at least to me, too.
It was nice to see him, but I sort of wish he hadn't of come back; I don't know, it's hard to explain how I feel, but I don't expect him to be back every week from now on.

And that's why I already said this, and im sure im not the only one who saw it coming. If they have Mae Young, they can have Flair.

I totally agree. You just gave him a huge send off and inducted him into the HOF and he comes back a few months later, it is just plain stupid. He needs to be leave wrestling. Now, dont get me wrong, he is the greatest wrestler of all time but it is time to put up the boots before he dies in the ring.

His retirement was more of a send off for his wrestling career. The fact that he has a long term contract for WWE and still could draw fans (yes I would show up to a show JUST to see Flair) then I fully expect WWE to use him. I honestly wouldnt mind seeing him on TV full time in a GM role like in '02.
However, IF he was to return as a wrestler I think that would ruin the entired WM24 weekend. On air out of ring role Im all for but if he steps back into the ring its ruined

What did you expected? RAW has been getting awful ratings and Million Dollar Mania doesn't help.

Call me crazy, but if you do retire, shouldn't you leave and stay gone?? I mean, both Lita and Trish Stratus retired and aside from appearing at the Raw XV Anniversary show, they have stayed gone. From my knowledge, they have NOT appeared once before or after that, which is good. In my mind, once you retire, you should go for good and not come back, unless it's for an Anniversary show or something special like that. I don't care if Flair is under a long-term deal with WWE. He should sit his old-ass at home and collect a fat pay-cheque and stay-put. If we are going to have to sit through ANOTHER Flair send-off, I am going to ing puke. The first time should've been more than enough..

It's not like he's lacing up the boots again. He just made an appearance.
Now I agree that it didn't seem special because it was so soon, but as long as he doesn't get in the ring again and stays true to the retirement, random spread out appearances are fine, just don't overdo it.

He isn't staying true to the retirement already, that's the whole thing. If you retire, you should leave and stay gone for more than 2 months. His appearance tonight was the first of many more to come, that is pretty much a guarantee. Especially the way Vince had him thrown out of the building. You don't think Flair will be back after getting treated like that?? Well, in the words of Judas Priest, "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" Trust me, Flair will be back. He's not gone. He'll never leave. Matter of fact, I had the feeling tonight that they are going to go with a "Re-instatement" angle and bring him back to active competition again. You know, kinda like how The Ultimate Warrior beat Randy Savage in the retirement match. We all know Savage never retired and ended up getting "Re-instated" and came back. I just have a feeling the same exact thing will happen here. I hope to God I am wrong, but I just have that sinking feeling that I am right.

Everything you say is true, as usual. But if we wait a whole year to see Flair, we may see this... hes there to promote his DVD. wether directly or indirectly, hes there to promote it. its better to get his appearences done now, so he can promote it, instead of him appearing a year from now, promoting it. coming off WM24, theres no better time to get the DVD out. the longer they wait, the less people will buy it.

I thought it was lame. I knew he was coming back for the DVD promotion, but not this soon.

^ Yeah, but you would think at his age and after busting his ass for over 30+ years, that he would want a break from the wrestling lifestyle and just go home and relax with his family and not even think about wrestling for once in his life.
But nope, he's back already and he's ready to start up again...Geez, it's kinda sad. Like seeing an old dog on it's last days or something. I actually feel bad for Flair that he just can't go away and stay gone. He's hooked and it's quite sad and pathetic...

Why should he show up on the screen to promote the DVD?? I think the 30+ years Flair has put into wrestling should speak for itself and do all the talking there. If Flair is just there to promote his DVD like you say he is, then why the hell hasn't Austin shown up once to promote his?? Or how about The Rock?? Why doesn't The Rock show up here and there to promote his DVD?? Why don't they need to promote their DVD's if Flair has to promote his?? Try explaining that one to me...

I didn't catch RAW, but I heard he challenged Jericho to a fight. If that's true, then it's lame. I can respect him for appearing to publicize the DVD, but it looks like they're putting the son of a gun in a feud with Jericho. JUST STAY OUT RIC! Flair is literally my favorite wrestler of all time, even though he had already been wrestling 18 years before I was even born, but dang, when you retire, you're supposed to stay gone.

Yeah, Flair challenged Jericho to a fight in the parking lot, if you can believe it. So yeah, like you said, it does appear that a feud is brewing between Flair & Jericho. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I could see HBK sweet-talking Vince somehow to Re-Instate Flair so that he could come back and wrestle again. I could actually see HBK telling Vince that he would retire himself in order to Re-Instate Flair so that he could wrestle again. I can totally see that happening for sure. But yeah, just like I said and you said, when you retire, you are supposed to stay gone. Unfortunately, in Flair's case, he can't.

The man still has a contract with WWE, so they can do whatever the they want with him. And he isn't wrestling. He retired from WRESTLING.

I doubt it'll take that long for him to be back in there wrestling away. You can't possibly think he's actually retired from wrestling, do you?? LOL. ;D Do you honestly think Flair wants to retire from wrestling?? If you seriously believe that, then WWE has made the biggest sucker out of you. Ahahaha. Did you not hear Flair himself say that "He will NEVER retire!!" I believe that after wrestling for so long and putting so much into wrestling, that Flair would rather die in the ring than retire. I know I'm not the only one that thinks that either. And like I said in an earlier post, Lita and Trish are retired from WRESTLING, but you don't see them appearing 2 months after they retired, do you??
