Who else thinks deuce and domino needs Honky Tonk Man? If he got in shape and cut his long hair I think he would be great. He is pretty good on the mic and has the natural heat like Melina.

You're right, but only one problem. Douche and Domino would not be watched, Honky Tonk would

Honky can't wrestle anymore, and I don't think his character fits in nowadays.
To be honest, I think DnD need to just ditch the gimmick or go single. They have a goofy, dated gimmick. Wrestlers with corny gimmicks never make it big anymore so for them to truly progress they need to ditch the whole GREASED LIGHTNINg sh-t.

Didn't they just break up last week and start fighting with each other? I think that solves it, but I really can't see either with a singles career/push.

Honky Tonk would be a great asset as far as a manager.

It would be awesome if they split up, resulting in a cage match, with Deuce hitting a splash off the top of the cage.

Honky Tonk is a great anomaly in the wrestling world. To be honest how his character became over and successful still boggles my mind, it was just the right character at the right time, and he played it perfect. If HT had become what he was at anytime other then that time I doubt he would have made it out of the gates, look at the WWE now, if he debuted like that would be roasted now and if he debuted in the WWF before he did he would have never gotten over. He's a prime example of the perfect timing. With that said I doubt todays audience could care less about him. WWE needs to stop using it's past as a crutch (and you guys need to stop fantasizing about it) and the WWE needs to come into it's own.
Look at the Attitude Era, a time everyone is nostalgic about. How often did they refer to the past or bring legends up or crutch the company on it's past success then? Rarely ever, the Attitude Era was all about the now, the roster they had and the storylines they had, they didn't bring up storylines from 10 years prior, or find a coincidence between a current guy and a past guy and use it, they built them as their own men. WWE will not enter another golden age until it realizes it's not about who you had, it's about what you've got now.
Prime example is the Rock, we knew he was the son of Rocky Johnson, but it's not what defined him, it was just something about him. Seldom did that fact mean anything, WWF didn't use that at all and that's what made him his own man. Most people then didn't care about Rocky Johnson or Peter Maiva, most didn't even know who they were? Why should they care though? Those men weren't the ones on the TV screen. Now look at Randy Orton, ever since his debut all we've heard about him is he's 3rd generation, they even brought his father in. Ted DiBiase Jr.? Brought his father in. Cody Rhodes? Brought in Daddy? DH Smith, mention his father in every match he has. etc.

No. Don't waste time on a tag team that isn't worth it. I'd rather see them do something to help out a tag team with talent.

They had that gimmick in OVW and it went over great, but then again, that was because Paul Heyman was in charge. The guy could push a dog turd into a credible world champ.

Is that what Justin Credible's going as these days?
