Does that mean the death of Benoit and family is within the next few weeks? that was why the angle failed i seem to remember! yup, the day Benoit died, Vince came up on the empty RAW arena and announced that it was the day when his "memorial service" was supposed to be held, but since Benoit and his family were found dead, he decided to forget about that angle. Correction, That was the day Benoit was found dead, He died while the Night of Champions was going on.

did that storyline really only last 3 weeks?
i coulda sworn it was like a month and a half or somethin.
idc it could have been one of WWE's best storylines ever. and benoit runined it. Nobody knows how good it could have went, because we dont know what was gonna happen. one day theyll have to acknowledge it and at least say where it was going.

i was there the night that happened scared the crap out of me (then remembering this was wwe and he wasn't really dead). they set the exploded limo up outside on fire and everything. if beniot didn't go all psycho this angle would have been pretty cool. a lot of the news stations in PA covered it thinking it was real.

I thought it was a promising angle. I really did. Judge me all you want I was interested in seeing how the angle would play out and was disappointed when it was canned (though I certainly understood why).

I find funny how the 2 storylines Vince was in last year, failed because of something.
This is the first one, the second was Kennedy's suspension

where was the storyline leading to anyway? (what was going to happen) From what I heard, there was several possible outcomes. 1. The Jackass crew blew up the limo. 2. Vince faked it to see how much everyone would miss him (which is what they went with). 3. Someone would be revealed as the accomplice helping Vince do it, or someone would be revealed as the killer only for Vince to come back.

Wasn't Linda McMahon going to be questioned in the following week/s? I'm pretty sure Vince was scheduled to eventually return where he would explain he staged his own death in order to see if anyone would miss him.

Meh, I never really thought anything of it. I thought it was kind of tasteless using ten bell salutes and everything. I know it was for realism, but still, I didn't really like the angle at all.

Benoit happened to f**king BEnoit this angle, which is sucky because it was really going places and the second best thing to happen since Vinny Mack Wrestling God and going over.

The McMahonism storyline was amazing though.

Yeah, during this whole ridiculous angle, look how many people died in real life...Sensational Sherri, Nancy Benoit, Daniel Benoit and finally, Chris Benoit.
I just find it sad & pathetic that it took 4 people to die for them to stop this angle.

I heard they were going to play the angle that McMahon really was dead. It would be revealed later on who did it and that guy would get a big push (not sure if they'd be a heel or face). Then it would either come out that McMahon was in on it the whole time and it was fake or it would come out that McMahon had miraculously escaped and he would come back to feud with whomever the killer was.

I think that the Katie Vick angle was at least 0.001% better than this. Not to mention for the first time in about 5 years, I don't know why, but I thought something in wrestling was real.
