Most of us have heard of the WHC curse. But for some here it is.
Batista injured as champion. Taker injured as Champion. Edge injured as champion. Rey Mysterio's knees were damaged as champion. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Lets look at a few who died the day or right before they were going to win titles.
Owen Hart fell to his death right before his match where he was going to win the IC.
Edddie Guerrero: Died of heart disease while flossing his teeth the day he was going to win the WHC.
Chris Benoit died right before winning the ECW championship. Either framed or he snapped. ------------------------------------------------------------- Stone Cold broke his neck during an IC match. He still won the title.
Triple H tore his quad 3 months before he was going to challenge for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania.
Roddy Piper was found too have cancer during his only world title reign which was a tag team championship reign. Do you think fate wanted to ruin his only world title reign so it gave him cancer?
John Cena tore a pec during his year-long title reign. Is that so he wouldn't ever lose it and have the most prestegious title reign in history? --------------------------------------------------------------
Do you think there is a chance that if a wrestler is scheduled to win a championship and it is not there destiny to win it fate makes it so it doesn't happen.
I personnally have wondered and have to say yes.

I think for the most part its just athletes not properly taking care of their bodies. As for Piper though, Dont forget he was the IC champion back in 92 which had more meaning then the Tag Titles do

I knew all of these, but I never really put the peices together. Why wasn't Cena cursed earlier?

I don't see the significance in the Triple H one. It seems more ironic that he tore it on the anniversery of his return from his last tear.

two things: Rey Mysterio's knees were damaged as champion. . he was putting off knee surgery many months before his WHC win, and Chris Benoit died right before winning the ECW championship. Either framed or he snapped. i'd remove that before you get flamed by everyone. but overall whenever a wrestler is given a title it effects something. most people begin to hate their once loved people = Cena, or they get injured/suspended/other, so although in storyline terms it's great to win a championship, it's quite detrimental in some cases too.

I for one see it as keeping it from being flamed. Either way he can't be held respponsible since his brain was in bad shape. Just look at the facts there were 155 errors in the case. If they would come straight out and say we screwed up it wasn't benoit after already announcing he did it they would look like idiots. They already do since they said he did it based on how it looked. No forensic evidence. You can't judge a book by a cover. Even more important you can't condemn someone and ruin there legacy based on how it looks. The way I see it the case is still unsolved.

everything he did in his career before June 22nd has been sullied beyond recognition by his actions. BUT... let's not turn this into a Benoit thread ok?

Edddie Guerrero: Died of heart disease while flossing his teeth the day he was going to win the WHC. I'm going to point this out again, because people still seem to be missing/forgetting it: Batista stated in his book that Randy Orton was supposed to win the title the day Eddie died.
