Just thought I would let everyone know NG Ron Simmons who played for Florida State made the NCAA football hall of fame. He is inducted with the likes of Troy Aikman, Jay Novacheck, Thurman Thomas, and Lou Holtz. Simmons played for Florida State from 1977-1980

thats awesome. I had the chance to visit FSU 5 years ago. There was quite a bit of Simmons stuff around. I know he and Deion Sanders are the only 2 FSU players with their Jerseys retired

Here's the entire list: Fred Biletnikoff Ron Sellers Ron Simmons Charlie Ward Deion Sanders Warrick Dunn Chris Weinke Anyway, congrats to big Ron. He's always been a class act whether with the WWE or representing FSU. Go Noles!

Since Florida State first fielded an intercollegiate football team 55 yerar ago, only seven numbers/jerseys have been retired. Those numbers/jeryseys: 2, 16, 17, 25, 28, 34, and 50 - belong to seven of the greatest players in FSU football history. Deion Sanders, Chris Weinke, Charlie Ward, Fred Biletnikoff, Warrick Dunn, Ron Sellers, and Ron Simmons. With his blessing, Sellers' #34 was brought out of retirement in 2003. All of the numbers are retired other than #16 Chris Weinke, and #28 Warrick Dunn. The others are all retired, never to be used again unless the former player agrees. floridastate.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=1061&CID=405796Canes fan huh? I respect Miami alot more than Florida! FSU vs. Miami has always been more of a respectful rivalry while FSU vs. UF is all about hatred...lol. I still don't know how we lost to you guys this year...we always seem to find a way...lol. Take it to those Gators this year. I believe y'all play them the 2nd game of the year. I'll be pullin' for ya!
