For all of you that don't get why I'm surprised at this it is because I watch PWG, an indy group and SuperDragon there does a much better version of the move but damn. I didn't think I'd ever see that move in WWE.

Not in WWE from what I can remember. I never saw anyone officially do a curb stomp.

I've seen the curb stomp done many times in WWE.
Burchill should go back to the C4 as his finisher.

I don't mean just plain curbstomps ie close kicks to the face, I mean where they literally step on the back of the head sharlply to the map to use as an actual move. Not a set up move or just to add effect.

Simon Dean for a while was doing it every week.

Simon Dean for a while was doing it every week. Ah, yes--the Carb Stomp. And Burchill's been using that as his finisher for quite a while, now.

Although it's an effective finisher, it's one of the most dull finishers I've ever seen. Like, when he does it, nobody really gives a damn and doesn't get any sort of reaction from the crowd, good or bad. Prefect example would be last night when he did it to Super Crazy.
Nobody cared about him, Katie Lea or his dull-ass finisher. He should go back to being the Pirate again. He was much better then.

I do like pirate Burchill better to be honest, he was over, and very funny, and the entrance was just a great.
So yea, the character is just dull and boring at the moment. Like most of us brits.
So yea, a dull character, a dull finisher, kinda crappy.

I actually enjoy Burchill however he is, he's a great wrestler, BUT he was very over as the pirate. I don't know why they ever dropped that gimmick, he played it very well.

Burchall is OK but i dont like the curb stomp. Maybe if the ring was made out of concrete, THEN id think it was a believable finish.

So yea, a dull character, a dull finisher, kinda crappy. My thoughts exactly. He was so much better off as the Pirate. I have no idea why WWE squashed him with that gimmick. I didn't see a whole lot of it, but from what I did see, it was great and entertaining. 2 things he isn't today, great or entertaining. More like dull and crappy. With the dull character and dull finisher he has today, he reminds me of a few guys that nobody ever cared about like "The Widowmaker" Barry Windham or Big Bully Busick, or Al Perez, or Skinner. You know, someone who is just there for the hell of it and won't ever win a title or make any sort of impact at all. His character now flat-out sucks and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets released.

I'm more shocked that they're actually allowed to call it the "curb stomp" on the air, considering the meaning behind the term.

The pirate was a good gimmick... great even, but he would never be able to be taken seriously or really be a heel with it...

I was thinking, it might be cool to seee him as a bodyguard type for William Regal. What do you think?

Maybe if he put some more power into it & actually did it right, it wouldn't be so weak. I mean, when he does it, the crowd is dead (not that it isn't the whole match, but especially dead during the Curb Stomp.

It's just another example of US fans sh*tting all over an English wrestler - and don't tell me it's not..

It' been done plenty of times...just not as a finisher. Simon Dean says hello, how's your calorie intake big fella? Anywho, I liked the original, the version he did on Super Crazy (the second time) and Hacksaw, looks awful. The surfboard, leg lock version looks pristine.

It's just another example of US fans sh*tting all over an English wrestler - and don't tell me it's not.. It's not. Regal can at least get a reaction, Burchill couldn't. He doesn't stand out anymore. I know he's talented, but in WWE that doesn't do it anymore. I like Burchill, but the Curb Stomp just doesn't do it as a finisher. If he was the original plan from like two years ago of a football hooligan, sure. If he had the C4 he would be more over.
