Welcome to our live coverage of National Wrestling Circuit's second show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I've gotten several reports from fans that both, Austin Aries and Lacey, were seen walking into the arena last. Also, the name of this show has been reported as "Game Time". 1) Assassin and Red Dragon defeated Klinikz and Nikollaj Punk (8:31) when Assassin crushed Nikollaj with the "Dragon's Way". **. Assassin and Red Dragon worked splendidly as a team. Klinikz looked awfully sloppy, but Nikollaj did a nice job of covering up many of his weaknesses. Bottom-line is that Assassin and Dragon are good enough to become this company's greatest tag-team, while it's a damn shame that a man of Nikollaj's talent keeps jobbing.
2) NWC World Championship Tournament: Bracket B; Match #3 - Matt Ryland defeated Kid Carnage (15:49) with the "That's Original!". ***1/4. Ryland really knows how to draw in a crowd, that's for sure. Although their wrestling styles were quite different, these two put on a decent match. Many thought that Carnage had the match in the bag, but out of nowhere, Ryland hit the "That's Original!" for the win. Ryland has the potential to carry this promotion on his shoulders. 3) Jordan Devine defeated Leon Trait (6:13) with the "Moon Over Miami". *1/2. Without doubt, Devine may be the most athletic wrestler in this promotion. The moves that he pulled off in this match were just out of this world. Trait didn't look too bad, either, but then again, in a squash match, anyone can look decent. 4) Brock Irish defeated Evan Pagano (17:01) with an Avalanche Powerslam. ***1/4. This was an awesome match, but many fans found it boring because it was so long. Pagano managed to kick out of the "GoldRush", which shocked the entire crowd. Just as Pagano was beginning to make a comeback, Irish took Pagano to the top-rope and nailed him with a sickening powerslam for the three count. --- Intermission break. --- 5) NWC World Championship Tournament: Bracket A; Match #4 - Safu Anoa'i defeated Tommy Atkins (24:16) with the Samoan Drop. ****1/4. I can't believe I'm saying this about a small wrestling promotion match, but this one's easily an early MOTYC. The story that was played out during this match gave me goosebumps, as Anoa'i played the unbeatable monster role and Atkins was the underdog. If there's one match that I'd compare this bout to, it'd have to be Danielson/Morishima in ROH. Atkins kicked out of everything he could, but in the end, Anoa'i overpowered him with his infamous Samoan Drop. --- As Atkins was getting up from the mat, post-match, Johnny Arsenic came running down the ramp with a steel chair. After that, everything went terribly wrong. Shortly after cracking the chair over Atkins' head, his eyes rolled back. Breaking kayfabe, Arsenic realized that he hit Atkins the wrong way, got down on his knees, and began yelling for help backstage. Along with Bryan Danielson, a bunch of medics came running down, trying to get Atkins to his feet. Seemingly irresponsive, Atkins was carried away on a stretcher. Just before the medics brought him backstage, Atkins rose his hand in the air, signaling that he was okay to all of the NWC fans. This was truly one of the most scariest things I've ever witnessed at a professional wrestling event. After breaking his nose last week and suffering a concussion this show, I have a feeling that Atkins' career is in jeopardy. --- --- Austin Aries, along with Lacey, came out to a thunderous pop. Aries got straight to the point and declared that he only chose Nick Jacobs as his opponent not only because he had the same last name of his rival, Jimmy Jacobs, but also because he seemed to be as much of a jackass as him. --- 6) Nick Jacobs defeated Austin Aries (19:11) with the "Guitar Solo". ***3/4. Jacobs looked like a machine here tonight, countering all of Aries' big moves into a share of his own signature maneuveurs. The finish saw Aries on the top-rope, about to hit the 450 Splash, until Jimmy Jacobs, himself, jumped over the guardrail and began making out with Lacey on the outside. Distracted by Jimmy's surprise arrival, Nick knocked Aries off the top-rope, and hit the "Guitar Solo" for the three count. This was one hell of a show, easily topping the debut show from last week. Continuing the Aries/Jacobs feud from ROH was a brilliant move. The only thing that I'm concerned about right now is how Atkins is doing. Expect Danielson to have a big write-up on his status in an upcoming MySpace blog.

Great write up for every match, with great detail. The main event was great, and I'm rooting for McCraver or Atkins to win.

Great Shows, all of them are top notch, the qualifiers sound good can't wait to see more. Loving that guys like Stong wrestles espically now with Aries! Also me and Assassin teaming up agian nice although maybe you should turn me heel to work propelly with him unless your going to split us up (Which dosn't look likely with the comment on the tags). We got the win whoooo. Good opening match. Keep it up, I'll reply when the next show is up.

Loving how you write your shows as a live report, really adds even more realism. Can't wait for my match, and I'll reply to the rest of the show when it's posted. Oh yeah, and I'm LOVING Matt Ryland, he kinda reminds me of someone...

So far the show write-ups have been fantastic, I really ing love the format of live coverage, and how you take your time with the matches. Devine being the most athletic on the roster is bad ass. BTW, I'm just about to add a photo to Devine's application.

Great Show, loving that you are building up other fueds as well. Although why does everyone bring people in to lose on their first match? Safu is becoming one hell of a monster. All the other matches was good but I would have liked a bit more detail if possible but keep it ucop can't wait for more Aries/Jacobs

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008Well, I've got some good news for you all and then I've got some bad news. Since I don't like starting things off on a negative note, let's get the good news out of the way first. On the next NWC show, Jack Evans and Ruckus of the Vulture Squad, will be making their first appearances in National Wrestling Circuit against NCW's "greatest tag-team", Assassin and Red Dragon, in the main event. Shortly after hearing Nick Jacobs' comments, regarding how he interfered with his match against Austin Aries, Jimmy Jacobs had this to say, "You didn't need my help, eh? Then, please explain to me what would have happened if you were clocked with a 450 Splash. That's what I thought. Nick, if you want to get in the ring with me, then I have no friggan problem with that. Write this down on your calendar, 'June 8th, 2008: Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black of the Age of the Fall takes on Nick Jacobs and a partner of his choosing'. Be prepared to get hit with the beating of your life". With all that being said, let me finish off this blog with the bad news. As much as it saddens me to type this, Tommy Atkins' career is officially over. Several of the doctors explained to me that his body is simply no longer capable of getting into the ring weekly. Backstage, Tommy Atkins was a leader to all of the other trainees, trying his best to help the other guys in any way that he possibly could. Although he has only been wrestling for a little under a month, every match that he ever wrestled in was rated over three stars by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Tommy was one of the nicest men I have ever met in my life and he will be greatly missed by the NCW fans. I can only wish him the best with his future endeavours. The updated NWC World Championship tournament bracket has been posted below. Matt Ryland has made it to the final round, whereas either, Anthony McCraver or Safu Anoa'i, will be taking him on for the vacant championship in the main event of next week's show. "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson

WOOO! Great news not only are Rukus and Jack Evans comming to NWC their going to be facing NWC's 'greatest tag team' Also AotF making an apprence should be great! Sad about Atkins hopefully he can still do something. Hopefully Anoa'i makes it into the finals only to be beaten by Ryland. Can't wait for the next show

"Greatest Tag Team" Red Dragon and I, that's cool. That sucks to hear about Tommy Atkins. I don't care who wins between McCarver and Anoa'i, just as long as Ryland wins.

Welcome to our live coverage of National Wrestling Circuit's third show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Not a big surprise, but Julius Smokes was seen arriving at the arena. He will most likely play the role of the Vulture Squad's manager, as he does in ROH. The name of tonight's show has been reported as "Vendetagainst". --- The show kicked off with Becky Bayless interviewing Assassin and Red Dragon, backstage, on NCW's new titantron-like screen. They commented on their match against the Vulture Squad tonight as an "honor". As of right now, Assassin and Red Dragon are both major babyfaces. Not to mention, they are now referring to themselves as the "Red Assassins". ---
1) Nikollaj Punk and Tim Smith defeated Evan Pagano and Johnny Arsenic (16:13) after Punk hit the "Nikollaj Driver" on Arsenic. **3/4. Finally, my man, Nikollaj Punk, gets his first win in NWC. Anyways, this was really a great tag-team match. The new guy, Tim Smith, looked awesome out there. The mat work that he pulled off in the match was easily some of the best I've seen in years. Due to the fact that they have quite different styles, I doubt that Nikollaj Punk and Tim Smith are going to be working as a permanent team. 2) Jordan Devine defeated Klinikz (5:20) with the "Moon Over Miami". *1/2. For the second week in a row, Devine has looked impressive as hell. Surprisingly, for a man his size, Klinikz got in very little offense. The best way to describe this match is that it was a "fun squash". 3) Nick Jacobs defeated Danny Archer (9:57) after nailing the "Guitar Solo". **1/2. Archer was much better than anyone expected him to be. Many thought that we'd be seeing an upset, because Archer really took Jacobs to the limit. The finish saw Archer going for the "Glam Slam", but Jacobs managed to get out of it, and hit the "Guitar Solo" for the three count. 4) Kid Carnage defeated Eddie Rodriguez (14:39) with the Lungblower. ***1/4. Rodriguez was looked as a rookie by the fans, while Carnage was looked at as your typical skilled, hardcore veteran. Rodriguez dominated more than a half of the match, but in the end, experience f'ed him over, as Carnage reversed the "Puerto Rican Splash" into the Lungblower for the three count. --- Intermission break. --- 5) NWC World Championship Tournament: Bracket A; Match #5 - Anthony McCraver defeated Safu Anoa'i (25:44) with the "I'd Hit It". ***3/4. Now, I'm going to be honest with you all, and say that I thought that McCraver was going to be one of those guys who was awesome on the mic, but blew in the ring. I was wrong. If I had to pick anyone who was going to wind up winning this tournament, my pick would've gone to Anoa'i. Tonight, McCraver shocked everyone in the entire arena when he pinned him down for a three count. Not only does McCraver have the best charisma in this promotion, but he's also got some of the best wrestling potential. Overall, truly a fantastic match. 6) The Red Assassins defeated The Vulture Squad (21:02) after Red Dragon hit the "Red Dragon Driver" on Ruckus. ***1/2. Wrestling is all about entertainment, and that's what these four men put together here tonight. The Red Assassins were all about power moves, while the Vulture Squad were all about speed and high-flying maneuveurs. Despite having an extra man, Julius Smokes, taunting them at ringside, in the end, the Red Assassins overcame the odds and defeated the Vulture Squad after Red Dragon crushed Ruckus with the "Red Dragon Driver" for the win. It's really amazing how awesome some of these trainees are. Some of them are putting on three to four star matches and they've only been wrestling for a little over a month. I guess that just goes to show you how phenominal of a wrestler and trainer Bryan Danielson really is. All and all, another great show put together by the wrestlers of National Wrestling Circuit. Next week's main event, featuring Anthony McCraver and Matt Ryland for the NWC World Championship, is going to be out of this world.
